Amarillo, Texas – Sorry I have been slow at posting. After over six months on the road I have been running on fumes. Between meetings and events I have had to shepherd my strength to be solid for the meetings and events. I get home this weekend for a desperately needed deep rest – and to conceptualize some major projects, both for CORAC and independently. I was intending to put up a repeat post today as something of a placeholder until I got home. But events dictated otherwise. Instead, you get the following…

So newly-elected Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg has gone ahead and indicted President Donald Trump. What is really bizarre is the supposed crime Trump is accused of. Trump is being accused of listing a $130,000 payout for a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) as a ‘legal’ rather than ‘campaign’ expense. I am not making this up. That is the accusation from a Soros DA who releases violent criminals at such a rate that violent crime has been spiking ever higher ever since he was elected. But the city will be protected from desperado accountants and their clients, I suppose.

For two weeks it was anyone’s guess whether Bragg would actually do it. Some said this has been such a humiliation that he would try to slink quietly away. But when have you seen a rabid Dem exercise any prudence or restraint this last decade and a half, even when the obvious outcome will be to immolate themselves?

The media and leftist officials were tingling with excitement at the outset, certain that this news would bring massive protests out so they could do J6 all over again. Shoot, they almost certainly had the Antifa and FBI infiltrators all dressed and ready to go to provoke things. Alas for the left, conservatives didn’t take the bait. I was a bit irritated at all the commentators who told people not to protest. After all, if we unilaterally abdicate our right to protest while Antifa and BLM can continue to merrily go committing arson and mayhem, hasn’t the left already won? Then again, the left encourages their paramilitary brownshirts to commit mayhem and releases them almost as quickly as any are arrested. Meantime, we can’t be safe even if we are as polite as attendants at an English tea – because those same malicious leftists who excuse any mayhem coming from their allies also have shills lined up to infiltrate our events and provoke crisis whatever we do. We get arrested, the shills get turned loose to instigate another day. As irritating as it is to me, the commentators’ advice is largely sound.

The left is interpreting the lack of large-scale protests as a sign that we are in retreat. Though I doubt Trump will be convicted of anything from this dumpster fire of an indictment, it HAS changed things dramatically. Activists have convinced the largest new portion of ordinary people yet that the left cannot be bargained or reasoned with; that they will never stop assaulting ordinary people with malignant viciousness until they ARE stopped.

The 17th Century English poet, John Dryden, warned aggressors and tyrants to, “beware the fury of a patient man.” The patient man approaches an offense by seeking to reason, to negotiate, to compromise. When he reaches the moment when he knows none of this will avail, he is filled with a fury that explodes into action – and then the tyrants are felled. The best that aggressors can hope for after this metastatic moment is that the patient man dismisses them as irrelevancies.

The justice system is no longer – folded, spindled and mutilated into a means of targeting dissenters from the regime. The medical system is fallen, doing at least as much damage to people’s health as good. Education is in the tank, providing the means of enabling misery of all sorts – not the least of which is advocating for the sexualization and mutilation of young children. Those the left can’t get with abortion they’ll get with ‘gender-affirming care.’ Public officials, from the lowest village board member up to the chief executive, believe they have a license to rule rather than a duty to serve. Oppose any of this insanity and you are styled as a bigot, racist, or domestic terrorist. Commit actual violence advocating for any of this and you are a ‘social justice warrior.’

In Nashville on Monday, a woman celebrated the much vaunted Transgender Day of Vengeance early by murdering six people, including three children, at a Christian school. The woman was pretending to be a man and, apparently, was enraged that people around her weren’t all willing to pretend along with her. Now trans activists have stormed the capitols of Tennessee and Kentucky, threatening legislators who refused to allow them to continue to groom and mutilate children. And the establishment media trumpets that the trans community is under attack. No, you idiots, they are the attackers. The Nazis, after murdering groups of Jews or Gypsies or whoever the enemy of the day was, often said that the murdered had been attacking them. Like their emotional leftist heirs in America, committed Nazis considered anything other than abject fealty to be an “attack.”

There will be dire consequences to all this. The best chance to avoid civil war now is for the free states to vigorously adopt nullification statutes, declaring themselves “Constitutional Sanctuary States.” They must refuse to accept counter-Constitutional edicts from the federal government and bar federal law enforcement and regulatory bureaucrats from operating in their states. I have heard some suggesting that red states should start criminally indicting Democrats in their states. While delicious, I suspect that enhances, rather than reduces, the threat of open and violent civil war. Truth be told, I don’t think even the reddest of states will produce the resolve to take their power back from a federal beast grown feral. What I expect is a summer of growing violence, greater even than in the 60’s, followed by open civil war. The rest of the world is, of course, watching and will take advantage of it all to mount their own depredations without fear of us. On Dec. 14, 2020, just a few days after the Supreme Court refused to investigate the massive irregularities in the 2020 election, I wrote what I considered to be the obituary for America. I am not happy about it, but I was absolutely right then about what the consequences of this steal and ascendant leftism would be. Please read it again almost two and a half years later.

People often ask me what I think the flash point triggering collapse will be. With the winds of war sweeping across the globe like a hurricane, more division in America than there was in the run-up to the first Civil War, our currency more degraded each day and China making a determined effort to tank it and take over as the world’s default currency, I have always answered that it doesn’t matter. We have become like a football field with mines laid every square foot: once one of them goes up, all of them will. But I am coming to think the latest Oscar-winning movie was prophetic in its title, if nothing else: “Everything, Everywhere, All at Once.”

I appeal to you, if you have not yet joined CORAC, do so now. There are many organizations trying futilely to fight back under old rules. We fight, but our focus has been on building the new society right now even as the old society is visibly collapsing around us. We are not looking for people who are just eager to listen to someone turn a pretty phrase (though I have been known to turn one now and again), but people who are ready to work together, to put their shoulders to the plow. We want people who are not just mesmerized by the fall of the city of man, but are committed to working together now to build anew the City of God. There is no fee to join – except for the sweat equity you are willing to provide.

After being very ugly, indeed, for well over a decade, things are about to get a LOT uglier. Some posit that this is the beginning of the end of all things. I have said from the beginning that these are the birthing pangs of God renewing the faith and face of the earth. You can take that to the bank (well, you’ll actually need a safer repository than that during these times). God has work for each and every one of you if you will accept it. You are the crew He wants to rebuild the City of God and become heralds of the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart. Join us now. Don’t just curse the growing darkness. Carry the light of Christ far and wide throughout the world, so that all who encounter you will find new hope, new joy and new resolve in working together under God. Do it now and your grandchildren, on down to the tenth generation, will call you blessed.

I miss the America I grew up in, a place where liberty and justice for all was a sacred commitment, not just weasel words to justify a power grab. But we must make the world anew. For that America, whatever nostalgic affection we have for it, is part of a world gone by.

  1. Praying you deeply enter into a well-deserved rest, Charlie, that refreshes and renews your vigor.

    It IS frustrating trying to hit a balance between rising up and holding back. Ready for God to turn the global reset on its head, that what the enemy means for harmful evil, GOD uses for good. Praying anew that we open ourselves to receive what He IS doing, the better to partner with Him and co-create the world gone by… because, knowing Him, He DOES have something better.

    I have a new hobby, when I’m out and about I carefully watch those squirrels who love what they do, are really good at what they do and are immersed and determined in it. I think to myself: “Ah, a possible ally.”

    I doubt many of these are even aware they are squirrels, as we are in deep blue enemy territory. I also see this determination in young adults who are more aware. It is like the hints of Spring. It gives me hope.

    We are continuing to pray and to listen carefully. Our intrepid little group is praying and discerning our next right step. We will not know what God wants of us until He asks ~ enlightens us!

        I live in Massachusetts. There are many faithful people here…..but we desperately need prayers for we live in a challenging state.
        Also, I kindly request prayers for my elderly parents. My Mom is currently recovering from covid. My Dad has some serious health issues. We are praying that he doesn’t get covid. I am their primary caretaker, and hoping that I can remain healthy.

    Back when gay marriage was about to be put on the books I read an article about the “slippery slope” this break would cause in society. The author described, in similar fashion to what Pope Paul VI prophecied would happen if birth control were enacted, that this would lead to more and more devastating actions down the road.
    We are now there on both accounts.
    The logic was once society caved to immoral acts this would only embolden these people to seek more and more rules to quench their self-induced fire.
    Since man has a moral compass- the Ten Commandments written on our hearts, no one can escape this fire who retreats from its truth. So those that try can only exhaust themselves in an ever seeking desire to rid the world of Truth.
    And since the fullness of this truth is contained in the Catholic church, this is their main target. They can never rid themselves of the guilty feelings they possess but they think if they can remove the source which they believe is physical and not metaphysical they will end this suffering. But no matter how much they succeed in getting their way, it is/never will be enough to satisfy. Thus the mental illness, the suicides, the killings and now on the precipice……the war.

    An interesting excerpt from a recent WSJ letter to the editor,
    “I spent 12 years as a history teacher in a Catholic high school in northern New Jersey. When, in my curriculum, I got to the Russian Revolution, I would ask my students, “Who is the greatest mass murderer in history?” Twenty-five voices would answer in unison: “Hitler!” Then I would say “Hitler? Haven’t you ever heard of Stalin? He murdered 20 million of his own people. And Mao in China was an even much greater killer.” This came as a shock to the students.

    I would teach them about Joseph Stalin, and invariably one student would ask, “How come we never heard of him?” I would answer that they had heard of Hitler but not Stalin because those who determined their curriculum wished to associate mass murder with Nazis but not with Communists. I came across one of my favorite passages of St. Louis de Montfert which is mightily heartening, particularly, in light of how our young people have been in the crosshairs of the enemy’s ugliness which emits a rank stench, through and through, in the perversion of the LGBQITA+ mess. It brought to mind the ongoing revival, which began at Asbury University, and continues to be welcomed in places such as Holy Cross Catholic Church in the Bronx. https://holycrossbronx.com/ (Take a look at the parish Home page to discover what they have been doing in this Lenten Season.) What St. Louis describes in this passage concerning what he calls these “latter times” surely seems to apply to what we’re going through and makes good sense to me in light of what St. Paul says in Romans: Where sin abound, grace abounds the more.

    God’s Light DOES shine in this darkness. In the current revival, I see Aslan’s own Holy Spirit on the move, reaching out to young people as one front in the process of the Rescue by Our Lady.

    What St. Louis describes is as much for our young people who are answering God’s call as it is for us golden oldies who have been praying, hoping and believing for many years now what Our Lady, THE prophetess of our times, has been conveying… She, in her own words, has highlighted the same message Charlie carried on his pilgrimage across the country and continues to express in his writing and speaking: God has a Plan and we are invited to make our stand with Him by TNRSing and doing the little each of us can wherever we may live.

    Praying for our younger folks to find a home at ASOH and in CORAC.

    Such are the great men who are to come. By the will of God Mary is to prepare them to extend his rule over the impious and unbelievers. But when and how will this come about? Only God knows. For our part we must yearn and wait for it in silence and in prayer: “I have waited and waited.”

    Charlie always warns us of not using the enemies tactics. This is a prime example of falling prey to this especially when they infiltrate and redirect the event just to destroy us.
    But like one blogger said, eventually the simple quiet men have had enough and then it’s game over!
    Hold on until you see the white of their eyes!

  23. Hi all, Looking for suggestions here:

    My friends have seen on Facebook that there is a “trans rights” rally being organized in the park across the street from a parish near me on Divine Mercy Sunday to “interact with the parishioners”. Not sure what our response should be.

    The whole “to protest/not protest/counter-protest” dilemma… I am supposed to be at a retreat at another parish. I don’t think being out there will change anyone’s minds. But not sure what the response should be – if any…

    Any thoughts?

Joe, on my daily news trapline of non-MSM citizen journalists and commenters, some think that “trans rights” protesters are basically Antifa or BLM 2.0 ~ not organic groups but funded, centrally organized groups released to foment unrest and to bait ordinary citizens. It’s hard to know what is true or not in this case. However, I think that your parish’s approach could be to NOT ENGAGE but to pray the Rosary peacefully outside of your church, on your church’s property. Very important: Do not take the bait. Do not engage.

        On a side note, my daughter browses reddit to see different cultural vibes, and she’s surprised at one of the abortion groups that mention their remorse and @2/3 express guilt over their abortions, (one wished she recorded the heartbeat). The kicker is that if anybody tries to post about adoption, they are banned. I was wondering if there’s another group along with Rachael’s Vineyards that she could try posting (if it gets past moderator).

Creative, after reading some of what Dr. Mazza has written and released on the internet, such as his article entitled, The Consecration of Russia was Invalid,” published on 4-5-22, I clear your link along with a powerful passage which Charlie wrote nearly nine years ago. While Dr. Mazza may well be a fine Church historian (I don’t know this for certain as this is the first I’ve heard of him.), I take pause at his interpretation of prophecy, because even a very learned person in his/her particular realm of study and knowledge can misinterpret prophetic words as s/he speculates on the meaning of particular prophetic words.

      Critics of the Consecration of Russia say that, originally, in 1917, Our Lady said to consecrate Russia particularly by name, but that what St. John Paul did was consecrate the world, including Russia, to her Immaculate Heart. They are right. Sr. Lucia said – and St. John Paul – said that the consecration was accepted in heaven. I believe they are right.

      God does not change – but we do. We go running off into ditches, up blind alleys, tripping all over ourselves constantly. Never underestimate the mercy and determination of God to bring us safely home, despite our constant misadventures. Imagine for a moment that your family was going from Chicago to New Orleans in two different cars. Mom and Dad went first and gave your oldest brother firm instructions to take I-55 straight down to New Orleans to meet them there a few days hence. But your oldest brother had a girlfriend he wanted to meet up with in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Mom and Dad still want you to get to New Orleans in good time. But because of your brother’s screw-up, the quickest way now is straight down I-59. It would be a bit absurd for you to harp on going back to Chicago to take I-55, because the circumstances have changed since the original instructions were given. It would have been best for your brother to follow those instructions, but to do so now precisely would create more problems than it would solve. And the fundamental issue is that Mom and Dad want you to get to your destination as quickly and safely as possible.

      Had the Church acted in the mid to late 1920s, it could have made a clean consecration of Russia. But then, because of Russia’s persecution of Christians, the Vatican began to make diplomatic agreements to ameliorate the level of that persecution. By the 1980s, when St. John Paul made the consecration, the Church was far along in diplomacy with the Orthodox Churches, hoping to eventually re-unify the two wings. The consecration should have been done as asked early on. But once that window was passed, it would not have pleased God for St. John Paul to do the consecration in a way that would violate a solemn agreement that had defended Christians – or to blow up the diplomacy that was bearing fruit among the Orthodox. God – Dad – knew that we had detoured to Chattanooga. He was not happy about it. But He still wanted us to get to the destination as best and safely as we could.

      God adjusts His demands, to our benefit, when we mess things up – and when we actually do things right. In these times, God is calling us to stand our post…to do our part faithfully and with fortitude, not to carefully diagnose the splinters in each others’ eyes.

      We waited too late for the Consecration of Russia. But God accepted what could be done honorably when we finally got serious about it. Today it looks like a soupy mess – but there have been many benefits and blessings from the 1984 Consecration.

      Now that everyone is being called to their stations, it is not the Church which is being called to account for its failure to act in the first half of the last century. It is those of us who want to play Bishop or Pope rather than stand our position who are unwittingly revealing the vanity of our hearts. Take whatever position you want. But you had best act with fear and trembling as you confidently insist that one of the greatest saints and greatest intellects of the last century got it completely wrong and that the seer who delivered the message in the first place got it completely wrong with him. If, after considering the matter you still insist, you had surely better make sure you are standing your position faithfully. For it is not the Church that stands to be judged on this matter now; it has corrected its mistake. It is you who stands to be judged.

      1. I appreciate your repost, Beckita. While the Church is suffering under a heavy cross, accosted even by her own Shepherds, it makes no sense to go over the same tortured ground again. Her unity assaulted, the Church is suffocating with the dark smoke of the satan. She needs a strong wind of the Holy Spirit to clear the air of the present darkness. It doesn’t happen if we turn back to lament, “coulda, shoulda, woulda. ”
        In the last two months, two adults have approached me about conversion or baptism in our holy faith. What kind of steward would I be if I told them, “don’t bother.” When we are a sign of hope, sometimes it causes other to acknowledge God and take the next right steps. Let’s ask our good Father to help us to let our light shine bright in the growing darkness. Peace and Holy Week blessings to all.

  30. Our daughter in KY, far west corner, is also in a tornado watch, for the second time. She knows the family is praying hard! She woke up in the middle of the night during the last storm and prayed; said it was “scary”. Wow, so many needs in all our families.
    That reminds me of the “Purple Scapular” which has amazing promises, and is sent out by the Mary Foundation. I just ordered extras for the kids and their homes. Seems like the ideal time for it!

  31. Well, we voted for a new justice for our Supreme Court in Wisconsin yesterday. Unfortunately the pro-abortion candidate won. One of our broken-hearted voters commented: “It is being reported as the MOST expensive election in history for the “winning” team. Imagine knowing you spent more than anyone else…ever…for the “right” to rip apart babies. King Herod’s thirst for murdering is far from quenched. It simply has new players with different names.” Looking at the county-by-county votes….most of the counties voted for the pro-life candidate…but not the big cities. Lord have mercy.
