The Hour of the Hyenas

By Charlie Johnston

I am entering the home stretch of my latest tour of visits. I will enjoy getting home next week, resting a bit, then working intensely to prepare not for what is coming, but for what is already unfolding before our eyes.

I laughed ruefully when I saw a silly columnist write that the outrage from the senseless raid on Donald Trump’s home will fade over time. Of course it will, but does this columnist think that this is the end of outrages? Once it was fully politicized to oppose Trump at every turn in 2016, the FBI and Justice Dept. have largely ceased to prosecute anything that is traditionally criminal. They haven’t stopped mass shootings, school shootings, terrorist attacks or “mostly peaceful” protests from the left because they have been far too busy going after anyone who might be a Trump supporter. This despite having advance warning about almost every mass and school shooter out there. The only question the FBI and Justice Dept. are interested in any more is, “Are you now or have you ever been a Trump supporter?”

Tucker Carlson did a brilliant synopsis Monday night of the police state America has become in the last two years. The Biden regime justice department is all about politics: actual crime can wait. This is not because they are bumbling buffoons, but part of the planned destruction of ordered liberty under a constitutional system where the people rule. Emerald Robinson brilliantly sketches the outline of the plan. The hostile takeover of American society is not coming: it is here. Like an unborn child, it is not fully developed yet – but is growing more clearly defined each day. If you are telling yourself it is not there or that it will all go away with one election, you are whistling past the graveyard.

I am devoting myself to laying out some basics each of us can do to resist without violence – and preparing to build anew on the rubble that the illegitimate Biden regime and its handmaidens in the media and institutions are leaving. My main questions are three: 1) how to resist the depredations of our walking dead society without an orgy of destruction, 2) how to endure the destruction engendered as the insane left seeks to destroy us in its own orgy of self-destruction and, 3) how to unite rational people now to effectively rebuild a healthy society after the left’s immolation of our society is complete.

This, quite frankly, was what CORAC was created for. The fact is that God wins – along with the people who follow Him. I get a ton of letters and such from people frantically telling me what the latest “prophecy” is and how God is going to solve this for all of us. I will tell you bluntly: if you are waiting for God to solve all the problems we have created for ourselves, you need to know that God is waiting for you to saddle up and get to work doing what we should have been doing generations ago. God will bless your efforts and there will be more than a few miracles along the way – but it is your efforts He will bless, not your pipedreams. Get to work. We have got a lot of trials ahead of us on the road to Mordor – and Christ is asking us now, even as we tremble, “Do you love me?”

Certainly, you can connect with a ton of people who are already working together to preserve a Godly culture even as the walls of our secular Jericho collapse by joining CORAC. We work together on health and wellness, frontier skills and foraging, ham radio communications, emergency contingencies, education, prayer teams and more – all designed to knit together once more the fabric of the people of God. We are in the midst of our summer fundraising drive. We live cheaply and offer all our resources without charge, but we depend on people who are voluntarily committed to keeping us afloat by donating. Be our Joanna and our Susanna. Get involved in the community, which stretches nationwide and, now, even internationally. Help with a project or two. Don’t wait until the storm is at a full roar before figuring that maybe that ark wasn’t such a bad idea after all. We need your help now – and you need our help and fellowship now.

The hyenas that have taken illicit control of our culture are determined to take the great lion of freedom down – and all who will not join their venomous pack. As hyenas always do, they attack the weak the first. They are coming for your children, they are coming for you, they are coming for all that is good and true. The FBI and Justice Dept. have joined their pack. The media has joined their pack. Almost all institutions in our culture have joined their pack. Now you must choose. Will you stand with the great lion of Judah even as he is under siege; will you hide away and hope the hyenas don’t notice you (good luck with that); or will you join their malignant pack? As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

I pulled up an article I published three years ago that is worth a re-read. It is entitled, “In the Lord’s Winnowing Fan,” and appears below:

Double Rainbow

By Charlie Johnston

Just a couple of hours after I published my venting complaint Thursday (The Assault on Reality), I saw a beautifully vivid double rainbow while I was out in a farmyard. I had been feeling more and more gloomy about the growing absurdity and fecklessness of modern life – in society, the culture, and in the hierarchy of the Church. I hate to write when I feel like that. I much prefer to offer solutions than merely curse the darkness. Sometimes, things get so clogged internally, you have to vent before you can get back on track. I see that a lot of you took the opportunity to vent, as well. Good for all of us.

Make no mistake, though; I am no revolutionary. My attitude is more akin to that of William Wallace in the movie, “Braveheart.” I want to press those who are charged with leadership to exercise it on behalf of the people they are called to serve – not just to feather their nests or cover their behinds. I want the king to be a king worthy of the name and the nobles to act with nobility. If they don’t, that doesn’t stop me from acting with vigor, fidelity and fortitude. Over time, those characteristics can inspire even a moribund leadership class. It was not Wallace who won Scotland’s freedom – but Robert the Bruce, the rightful king who had once betrayed Wallace. Yet he was so inspired by the great commoner that he ultimately chose to live fidelity to Scotland – and finally accomplished what Wallace started.

I don’t just want victory; I want a proper, honorable order resurrected. I want the elite to be worthy of the name rather than pathetic, arrogant shams; I want nobility, I want both courage and restraint, kindness and rigor, everybody living their lives with honor, dignity, and affection for their neighbors and tolerance for each other’s quirks. A few thoughts on that…

I was disappointed to see the venting lead some to take shots at St. John Paul and Pope Emeritus Benedict, suggesting they had to know about the scandals. To the contrary, before Pope Francis, those noxious clerics who want to subvert the faith took great pains to remain in hiding. Remember, Theodore McCarrick pretended to be a passionate reformer in 2002 even as he was about the business of molesting young men and older boys. St. John Paul, in his youth, literally risked summary execution to maintain fidelity to the faith in Nazi-occupied Poland. Benedict XVI wasn’t far behind navigating Nazi Germany as a youth. For men such as this, the idea that Priests and Bishops would eagerly and intentionally betray the faith to indulge their own sexual perversions was literally unthinkable. I can see them seeing discrete reports and thinking that these were just a few bad apples who had given in to human weakness. The idea that it was a large, co-ordinated conspiracy indulged in by a large cabal of depraved clerics was literally unimaginable. Shoot, it was unimaginable to me just a few years ago. I know that Benedict decided to resign within days of receiving a report he commissioned on just how bad the problem really was. When he saw how big and extensive the evil had become, it is entirely credible to me that he decided a younger, more vigorous man must tackle this. And then it became clear that God had another plan.

Some say anyone in such a position must have known. I know better. I have served as chief advisor for more than a few statewide candidates and officials. The pace is so frantic, even at that lower level, that the principal rarely knows more than his advisors and the media tell him. I took pains to have some different voices in the campaign and tried to never let my guy get sand-bagged by a public surprise. Many chief advisors do NOT do that. I knew and was close to one statewide official who had once been good, but had an office that had grown rife with corruption. Turns out he had developed an alcohol problem and his chief of staff was both protecting him AND badly taking advantage of the situation. That chief later went to jail. So with everyone trying to hide the corruption – and much of it being centered in the Vatican – AND the idea of such widespread filth being literally unimaginable to men like St. John Paul and Benedict, you bet I see how it could have been kept from them except at the margins.

To trade reflexive credulity for reflexive cynicism is a very bad bargain. One who is reflexively naieve lacks judgment, but is usually innocent. One who is reflexively cynical gets on a downward escalator; first believing everything is corrupt, then believing that the good is not even possible. Once you convince yourself there can be no good, you are not far from believing there is no God. Besides this, any sort of reflexive response makes you a slave to others. It is a lazy man’s way to play at being good or smart. If I know how you reflexively think, it is simple to manipulate you. Do what Jesus said and “Judge righteous judgment.” If you say all clerics are honest and true, that’s annoying and can allow a culture of corruption to fester. If you say all are corrupt, you are doing the devil’s work of smearing the righteous and just. Judge righteous judgment.

The virtue of obedience is both misunderstood and underrated in these times. In Christianity, obedience is not a matter of the lesser submitting to the greater. If it were, how would it have been possible that, after the temple, Jesus was obedient to His earthly parents? In Christianity, obedience is a means of cooperatively opening up channels of grace with each other.

A quarter of a century ago, my first spiritual director was concerned that I was, perhaps, too eager to obey. He was concerned I might think this relieved me of my personal responsibility. I explained the above to him and noted that if he gives me the best, most well-considered direction he can, even if he errs, his intention and my obedience sanctify it and cause even the error to bear fruit, opening up a channel of grace between us. Similarly, if I err or even rebel for a time, his careful prudence in advice sanctifies my error and, again, opens up a channel of grace between us. If we seek, then, under God, to live our duty to each other well, we keep the channels open and the grace flowing – and can always re-visit any matter that seems errant.

We worry way too much about dominance. We should rather worry about legitimacy and obedience. The person who commands in an area takes responsibility before God and man for living his duty. I have often been the leader of significant temporal movements. When I have that responsibility, I listen carefully to the ideas of those who work with me, but I expect their obedience once I have made the decision. Similarly, when I am a member of a group under another’s command, I endeavor to follow the lead of the head with fidelity. I reserve the right to speak in disagreement if necessary, but I rarely use it. It is stupid and mendacious to argue with the leader just because that is not the way you would do it. You disagree when you are concerned that a particular course would cause lasting damage. Few people make excellent leaders if they do not also have the capacity to be excellent followers.

Obedience never means you should submit to an unlawful order – nor do you have to obey an order that is outside the capacity of the one giving it. Far too often, though, we rebel against lawful authority out of pure mulishness. That is not from God.

I am obedient to my Archbishop – and glad to have him. Though our communications are not frequent, we do speak informally through his designees and, occasionally, formally but privately. While it occasionally stings, he has never ventured outside his legitimate authority over me – and it has helped me make this site better and live my duty better. In fact, though our audience here is about a quarter to a third of what it was a few years ago, we count an astonishing number of key decision-makers in both the Church and secular society among our readers. A key to that is not just that I write some pretty insightful material, but that I listen, obey lawful authority, and endeavor to tell you bluntly when I am wrong.

Ego is killing us. That is a key lesson God wants us to know and that the devil wants to hide from us. If you are more concerned with proving you are right than actually getting it right, if you are too focused on establishing your dominance to ever follow a leader faithfully, you are going to have a lot of problems ahead. I am more terrified of failing to acknowledge an error than I am of actually making one. Everyone makes errors…it’s just part of our pilgrim journey. But when our pride causes us to refuse to acknowledge or repent of them, it encases the error in cement around us. Encase yourself in enough cement and you soon won’t be able to move at all. Better to shake it off as quickly as you can.

The Rev. Michael Brown (not the Spirit Daily publisher) wrote a brilliant piece about what happens when a nation spirals into darkness. If social trends continue their current trajectory, we have some dark days and real strife in our future. We must be deliberate in everything we do; not giving in to despair, to indifference or to triumphalism. Don’t walk around with your hair on fire at every offense that comes. Rather, steadily acknowledge God, take the next right step and be a sign of hope to those around you. There will be times when you have to make quick decisions. The habits of deliberation, regularly and vigorously cultivated, will make even those rushed decisions into better decisions.

Along our way, we will all vent sometimes. But never let such venting take possession of you. Frankly, I don’t fight it too much. Rather, I wallow for a few days – and then get back to work. Of course, the call we have is a hard one. What grace, what merit would there be in it if it were otherwise? We are in God’s winnowing fan – and everything we do gives witness to Him of who we are.

If the storm on the horizon moves in in its full fury, the decisive element will not be found among the bankrupt class that calls itself elite. It will be found in the faith, fidelity and fortitude of millions of ordinary people all across America and around the globe. The most effective leadership will come locally and regionally…leadership that resolves that, whatever is happening around the world, it will take that next right step in cooperation with willing neighbors who share the same commitment, fortitude and fidelity. I am glad that most of my readership here have abandoned the false hopes of individual prepping. It is cooperative action between friends and neighbors that will hold things up when the elite classes are violently self-destructing around us. I have been working with some people to develop areas that people who are working together in every area should consider in order to help each other weather the storms. I will publish a piece on it just before I go back on the road in a few weeks.

When you are weary or worn out, go ahead and let loose a primal scream. Heaven knows, I do. But don’t let that be the last word. Judge righteous judgment, knowing that the criteria you use to judge others will be used to judge you. Resolutely take the next right step, even though sometimes you have to rest your weary soul. If we do this, when Christ comes to hold us to account, He will find faith on earth.

If communication goes out for any length of time, meet outside your local Church at 9 a.m. on Saturday mornings. Tell friends at Church now in case you can’t then. CORAC teams will be out looking for people to gather in and work with.

  1. It is a weighty time. I find myself staring blankly into space for the reprieve from considering the darkness that lies ahead. We have known it would come and there is actually a kind of relief that we are now here… in the thick of what will become thicker difficulties. We know the only way out of it is through it, and here we are.

Choosing “In the Lord’s Winnowing Fan” for a reread is spot on for this moment, Charlie. The primal scream is sometimes, for me, more of a seemingly frozen zone; but it’s not. It’s the pause before action… the pause which impels me into deeper trust and paying attention to God’s nudges lest I get ahead of Him and find myself essentially expecting Him to come along with me. It’s a steadying pause in which I remind myself that I follow Him and I want what He wants…

So come, Holy Spirit, fill us with the fire of desire to do whatever You, O God, the Source of sound thinking and brilliant inspirations, tell us to do. Fine tune our ability to hear in the thousands of ways you whisper. Breathe in us your Sweet Breath, imparting new measures of Fortitude and Love…

“When you are weary or worn out, go ahead and let loose a primal scream. Heaven knows, I do. But don’t let that be the last word. Judge righteous judgment, knowing that the criteria you use to judge others will be used to judge you. Resolutely take the next right step, even though sometimes you have to rest your weary soul. 1. That quote hit me, too. It is a kind of consolation to read others do similar actions as I have been to Keep Keepin’ (stumbling, but Team Heaven IS there) On.

Good practice. I don’t know what the left are Going to do to us but this is the time of radical faith in God and just doing the little the puts right in front of us I can see

  3. “As hyenas always do, they attack the weak the first. They are coming for your children, they are coming for you, they are coming for all that is good and true. ”

This is exactly what is taking place in Illinois, especially in those schools that without parents’ consent/awareness have adopted sex education in the 2022/2023 curriculum where …
” the latest edition calls for students starting in 6th grade to define the meaning of oral and anal sex, and for students starting in 3rd grade to explain concepts like masturbation”.

“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. 7 Woe to the world because of things that cause sin! Such things must come, but woe to the one through whom they come!”

    1. Every parent should remove their children from the ILL schools of Illinois–this is not education but a ruination of the children. We are in most treacherous times. Woe to those that lead the children astray. Our Lady of the Good Event of the Purification, help us and intercede for us! Venerable Mother Mariana de Jesus Torres, pray for us!

  4. Need a little hope today? Last night I started reading the book, “Your Pro-Life Bottom Line” How you can help end abortion by investing in groundbreaking consumer marketing strategies that encourage women to choose life by Brett Atterbery.
It begins with “This book is dedicated to: Jesse, my child in Heaven”
This may be a groundbreaking approach!

    1. CrewDog, that article and your comment about the Swiss guard fainting is so true! I think it was you who pointed out in another place about growing up without AC and everyone survived the extreme heat then. Truly, all the “heat” deaths we’re hearing about this summer are probably just another excuse for the real reason for the deaths–the clot shot! They have come up with so many lame reasons people are dying (seriously, SADS???). Thank you for your diligence in seeking out and sharing these posts!

Here is a prayer I was reminded of that is intensely meaningful and personal to me:

    St. Anthony’s Brief

Behold the cross of the Lord!
    Flee ye adversaries;
The Lion of the Tribe of Juda,
The root of David has conquered,

    In Latin:

    Ecce Crucem Domini!
    Fugite partes adversae!
    Vicit Leo de tribu Iuda,
    Radix David! Alleluia!

    1. LL, that in turn reminds me of the Scripture verse recommended by St. Athanasius. “Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered, let them that hate Him flee from His Holy Face!” I used to remember to say it often, causes the devil to flee (St. A.)

      1. OOooh, yes, that verse gives me shivers (good kind), Iirc, it is part of the Holy Face chaplet. I try to burn these things into my memory, but I have failed. Must try again!

        1. So many visionaries and prophets recommend praying in Latin. No can do. No matter how much I try. It took me YEARS to memorize the DM Chaplet in English! But what I can do is CAN. I guess the Good Lord wants me to can, then. Last Friday He sent me more than six dozen new canning jars. Over half are now filled with last week’s sale items. Meats. Wonder who will eat all this sausage and ground beef, and bacon? I guess that is not my business. My next right step seems to be to can.

But these prayers are good, and I can copy them out!

  7. Jim Kunstler gave a spot on summary:
“It should be pretty obvious that the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago was an attempt to seize evidence likely to be used in former President Donald Trump’s civil lawsuit in the Southern Florida Federal District Court against Hillary Clinton and associated defendants in and out of government for the defamation and racketeering operation known as Russiagate — AND in any future criminal proceedings that might grow out of congressional investigations-to-come against officials past and present in the DOJ and FBI. The idea is to tie up all those documents in a legal dispute about declassification so they can’t be entered in any proceeding.”

  8. “Make my ministry fruitful… The turbulent have to be corrected, the faint-hearted cheered up, the weak supported; the gospel’s opponents need to be refuted, its insidious enemies guarded against; the unlearned need to be taught, the indolent stirred up, the argumentative checked; the proud must be put in their place, the desperate set on their feet, those engaged in quarrels reconciled; the needy have to be helped, the oppressed to be liberated, the good to be given your backing, the bad to be tolerated; all must be loved.”

  9. The priest who leads our monthly MMP group (who is our Diocesan exorcist) has been admonishing all of us to prepare. He is deeply concerned with the damage being done to the Church by her leaders who are destroying the unity of the Church and how easily that is mirrored in the secular world, especially in our country. When we asked the best way to prepare, he said three words, “Become a mystic.”

This is the next right step and it takes a ton of little steps to have a lived experience of God. Make time every day that is solely devoted to prayer: alone, silent, patient. He also advised us to stay away from the news and reminded us that, if there was something we needed to know, God would bring it to our attention.

Yes, we need to get to work and, on my part, I have to take the steps Fr. S advises or else I will depend upon my own strength or abilities instead of surrendering ALL to Jesus. As active as my work calls me to be and all the energy expended in standing my ground (the moral high ground – now fully under personal assault), this is no small task. I am glad to have Charlie, Beckita and all here as my fallback position because there is so much good in the words that you write. Blessings be upon you all in your own personal struggles.

    1. It truly is a balance to be struck, Marisa. With no ill will at all toward your blessed spiritual director and with honor to the ways you take his counsel to heart, I *do* see, again and again, that even the holiest of clergymen are missing the importance of the prayer of doing. Once upon a time, the Church was constantly engaged in *both* the prayer of doing *and* promoting growth in holiness via brilliant, inspiring papal writings and encouragement. From typical prayer and penance springs forth the Works of Mercy. One example, I loved the way clergymen forged baptismal certificates to save the lives of our Jewish brethren during the horrific depravity of the Nazi reign: And I have been reflecting on the vast majority of Saints throughout the ages who founded soup kitchens, hospitals, schools, etc. as a fruit of their intimacy with God developed in their prayer life.

    2. Marisa, What is a Mystic?
      St John was a Mystic.
      St Peter was too.
And St Paul, St Padre Pio, St Francis, St Joan of Arc, etc.
And what are they famous for ?
      Doing amazing things!
Their mysticism [a mystical union with God] was the source of their lives, lives lived to the fullest.
Charlie’s call to “judge righteous judgment” entails having a correct conscience created by knowledge, wisdom and understanding (Holy Spirit gifts). Some obtained this by prayer and “infused” knowledge but most spent years refining themselves first.
Scripture ask us to “seek first the kingdom of God” and then “everything will be added unto you”.
King Solomon (also a Mystic) got this in spades because his request of God was the wisdom to judge rightously. But he was also given great wealth, power and influence. His knowledge of nearly everything to be known made him famous and even the great ones of the earth traveled to hear him speak. He was the great mind that built the Temple by his mastery of design, another gift given him to fufill God’s desire for a worthy dwelling place for Himself.
(Not all to different from the “Temple” He created for Himself in Mary [Immaculate Conception] to become Emmanuel [God with us]).
So doing is the very goal of the mystical life. Jesus, the source and summit of Mysticism, “did His Fathers will”. “Thy will be done” then, is the mystics motto and should be the first thing in our lives.

      1. Yes, all your observations are correct and I am not proposing mysticism as a contrary view to activism. As you and Beckita rightly point out, there must be a balance, one way complements the other. I have been a student of St. Theresa and St. John of the Cross since Pope John Paul wrote about his love for the Carmelites in “Crossing the Threshhold of Hope.”
However, when one hears about a person as a mystic, one tends to think of the extraordinary occurrences such as apparitions or ecstatic prayer or gifts of physical healing. Neither Fr. S nor Charlie recommend to strive for those gifts. Instead, a lived out experience of God, a time of worship in which the soul turns all her attention to the beloved, is necessary for any work in Christ to bear fruit. Ora et labore is the Dominican motto that I learned while working closely with that order, too. Special emphasis on the “prayer” part.
What concerns me most is that I tend to get too caught up in the work. My desk is literally 50 feet from Jesus in the tabernacle yet how often do I go into the church just to spend time with him? How often do my thoughts turn to him when I am tending to family needs? (I will add that one of the most memorable experiences of God that I have had was when I was just folding towels.) Of course, mystical experiences will be different for everyone and we should not immediately baptize all as coming from God. Careful study, patience and, when possible, a good and holy and experienced spiritual director are prudent tools in the work of discernment.
One cannot underestimate the power that suffering brings in its wake and a careful study of all the holy saints you mentioned shows us that suffering is wedded to contemplation. The amazing things they did culminated in suffering and that is why the time set aside for prayer is the better part of all human activity. Pax et bonum, my friends.

  10. Charlie, you have said that your main purpose is to hearten the faithful during these very difficult and confusing times, to keep us from despair. For me, someone who ignored politics most of her life, I have been heartened by all that you write because it has given me confidence that I know what is happening and I am not confused by all of it. God allowed me to read Ann Landers in the paper everyday as a teenager instead of the front page of the newspaper knowing that when I got to these times I would have recourse to you. Really, Charlie, CORAC and this site are amazing. Thank you.

I can’t put the link up because it’s waaaaaay over half an hour, but I’m sure if anyone looks him up they’ll find it on YouTube put up a month ago!

The one thing he did say though is that after the chastisement, God will intervene by sending the illumination of conscience! He said he didn’t think so at first but that things are so bad that he really thinks it would have to happen! Who knows, but I thought it was interesting 🧐

What a joy and privilege it is to have our region 6 comradery!!! How blessed we are to have each other and what a wealth of friendship and advice for whatever problems anyone has!!! Just amazing!

  16. Happy feast day of St Bernard of Clairvaux! I love this Saint!

St. Bernard of Clairvaux, pray for us!
    Feast Day: August 20th
Saint Bernard and the Shoulder Wound of Jesus
Saint Bernard of Clairvaux prayed, asking Jesus which was His greatest unrecorded suffering; and the Lord answered him:
“I had on My Shoulder while I bore My Cross on the Way of Sorrows, a grievous Wound which was more painful than the others, and which is not recorded by men. Honor this Wound with thy devotion, and I will grant thee whatsoever thou dost ask through its virtue and merit. And in regard to all those who shall venerate this Wound, I will remit to them all their venial sins, and will no longer remember their mortal sins.”

Once during college was tinkling the ivories in the music dept. which had several rooms for that purpose. However, a guy came in my room, asking what I was playing, all of a sudden, the hair on the back of my neck… and just felt an invisible force making me stand up, gathering my music and answering him while telling a white lie I forgot an appt.- skedaddled out of there.

Yep! Another Left/Liberal/Democrat Attack that backfired Bigly …. but keeps THEIR Live & Breath Abortion Base Fired-Up, Angry …. & Violent!

Another example, in spite of crumbling ChinaPlague Hoax & EVERYTHING else THEY touch policies, of THEM forging ahead with THEIR “Our Way or Else” and largely getting away with it in Deep Blue States/Urban Areas!

A week or so ago, I awoke in the night thinking about something I have not thought about since my Strategic Air Command days 45 years ago: “SAC Tactical Doctrine”.
That doctrine stated that defense of the aircraft was primary until the Initial Point (IP) where the focus became the Target and all else was secondary.
The IP was the point you started the Bomb Run and you ignored the Flak and fended off enemy attacks as best you could while staying On-Course to the target.

The Global Left/Democrats are passed the IP and focused on the Target (Thee, Me & The Republic & godless Global Re-set) and are NOT altering course.
The Polls don’t matter nor do THEIR crumbling narratives and agendas matter.
THEY are forging ahead with a date certain, Time on Target, in mind with a confident arrogance that makes me wonder if THEY have some secret weapon or Op Plan?
I’m guessing “Fireworks” happen well before the Election. … Be Prepared!!

    1. CD . . . You are absolutely correct in your assessment that the Global Left/Democrats are past the IP, not caring a whit about who knows how corrupt and flagrant they are. I have been telling people for at least 5 years that they don’t care because they know they control all the levers of power and face no consequences.

I like how you analogize your SAC experience with the GL/Dems positioning. BTW . . . my father was SACMET and did 30 years.

And yes, many of us are anticipating the “fireworks” to occur and although we wonder what form they will take, we are dedicated to taking the Next Right Step and supporting those within our limited sphere of influence.
What I hope and pray is that it occurs while we are at home and not during our vacation in Colorado. Oh, please dearest God, have mercy!
Blessings on us all and strength to acknowledge God, be a sign of hope and TNRS.

  23. Seeing that Florida is flipping the school boards to more conservative, I just read that voters turnout in school boards elections in Illinois is around 16%. I myself shamefully never participated in such elections, but yet no information is distributed about such elections either, even though over 60% of property taxes go to public schools. So why isn’t each and every household provided with all information and with all candidates’ profiles and ideologies? Isn’t it done on purpose?

I did fight the liberal teacher, sent emails to the principal etc. but yet the fight should be started with the school boards, they need to be turned to ones respecting God’s laws.
Perhaps that could be one of CORAC’s goals? Making people around aware about this importance of participating in school boards elections as if they were the presidential elections…

    1. So true, Pawel, that school boards across the country have come under scrutiny and parents have been both challenging existing school board members who are anti-God and showing up to replace such members by either voting them out or running for school board to replace them. As I’ve noticed, this has been well covered in the news. CORAC has been hard at work in supporting families with their children’s education by studying and developing local home school consortiums.

  25. “I get a ton of letters and such from people frantically telling me what the latest “prophecy” is and how God is going to solve this for all of us. I will tell you bluntly: if you are waiting for God to solve all the problems we have created for ourselves, you need to know that God is waiting for you to saddle up and get to work doing what we should have been doing generations ago. God will bless your efforts and there will be more than a few miracles along the way – but it is your efforts He will bless, not your pipedreams.”

People are at their breaking point, on the verge of loosing all faith & hope in God & the Bible, and they’re begging for a sign or some kind of validation. The situation in the world isn’t the problem, it’s the people (the enablers of left) who are the real problem & cancer. Most people I know don’t care about a “sign of hope” as it rings empty & hollow to them without some kind of physical substance to back it up, as talk & words are cheap. I’m left with little choice but to withdraw and keep to myself…

It’s hard work some days to choose to trust God completely, whether things are unfolding as I would prefer or not. And I realize the toughest stuff is yet to come. Prayers anew for us all as we carry on next right stepping so that God can make of us a sign of hope – a hope that is so needed in these days – to those around us.

        1. I understand, Al. Each one of us gets to choose how we will comport ourselves through the difficulties. The Israelites wandered around in the desert wilderness for a long, long time – way, way longer than they had to… and it didn’t have to be that way. It was their lack of belief in God’s Word and His Promises, THEIR “crying and complaining” that earned them the longer route to the Promised Land. I refuse to follow suit. Oh, I feel weary at times… “sick and tired” of the lies, corruption and oppression. My heart is crushed by situations and people at times. Tears flow. Thirst for refreshment can seem unending. But I refuse to choose despair and become paralyzed by fear. Why? Because I know God is Pure Love. HE is not doing any of this to me/us. He is intervening, even now, to bring about good in the midst of evil. If I lose my life in what’s to come, then Blessed be God in His permissive Will. If I live on into the Era of Peace, a pioneer in all the work that needs to be done in co-creating with God a New Beginning, then Blessed be God. His Light shines on in every darkness… even when I cannot actually see it, He is there… He IS here.

“Major news outlets have played fast-and-loose with the truth for so long that we find ourselves with two terrible situations.

The first is that people only believe the news that fits with their own pre-conceived notions or narratives.

The second is that some people don’t believe the news at all, even when it is telling the truth.”

              1. It’s like the Abortion topic, but instead of fetuses the News aborts the truth for propoganda.

How many women damaged their health and reproductive health by playing with abortion and birth control drugs? Thinking those options were safe and effective with no consequences…

It’s the same old problem, being recycled into other subject areas.

    2. For almighty God… because he is supremely good, would never allow any evil whatsoever to exist in his works if he were not so all-powerful and good as to cause good to emerge from evil itself. “—CCC.
If we are to enter heaven laden with merit, what merit is there for us if we gain the whole world (such as those “good” things that can distract us from our intended purpose) but loose our souls? So God must correct and test they whom He uses for His great works in order to purify and refine them— and keep them out of trouble….
      “The combat has commenced.
The miseries of this present life are the test to which God puts His soldiers; He passes judgment upon them, and classifies them, according to the degree of courage they have shown. Therefore is it, that we all have our share of suffering. The combat has commenced. God is looking on, watching how each of us conducts himself.

The day is not far off, when the Judge will pass sentence on the merits of each combatant, and award to each one the recompense he has won. Combat now; peace and rest and a crown, then. Happy they who, during these days of probation, have recognized the mighty hand of God in all the trials they have had, and have humbled themselves under its pressure, lovingly and confidingly! Against such Christians, who have been strong in faith, the roaring lion has not been able to prevail.

They were sober, they were watchful, during this their pilgrimage.

They were fully convinced of this, that everyone has to suffer in the present life; they therefore never sighed and moaned, as though they were the only sufferers; they did not assume the attitude of victims, and call it resignation; but they took each trial as it came, and, without talking to everyone about it, they quietly and joyously united it with the sufferings of Christ. O true Christians! you will be joyous for all eternity, when there will be made the manifestation of that eternal glory in Christ Jesus, which He will pass on to you, that you may share it with Him forever!”

    3. Al2, I do get that there is a huge amount of pain and suffering already in the world, and I know it will get worse. This weighs me down, as it does most of us. I have a brother and a friend who have been black-pilled and think there aren’t enough good things happening, not enough efforts by good people that can prevail against the Evils. Sometimes, I let them wallow a bit, but I don’t accept that.

To me, we will lose and lose and lose until victory is ours. That’s largely the way it must be until the last sets of woke people are hurt enough, whacked upside the head with a big enough baseball bat, to awaken, and then we win. Nothing can stop that victory from arriving. Nothing. The only variable here is the cost.

Yes, I can get worn down or worried, but most of the time, the excitement and positive energy and good humor and sheer exuberance in being alive during these critical times rolls off me in wave after wave. Every day I see people in my mother’s residential facility, and every day I smile and laugh with them and leave them a little better for it. The care I give my mother is known by most here, and it is an inspiration to many. One of many aspects of my life, all lived the same way.

If you allow yourself to get worn down and low mood and to spread that, you feed the zeitgeist being spread by the Evils, which is of despair. If you cloak yourself with the certainty that an incredible victory is coming for the human race, that positive certainty will color all you do and inspire many around you. That’s living the “be a beacon of hope to those around you” part of TNRS.

Be a victor now, not next year. 🙂

    1. We have had SO many messages, Sorrowful, and, as you noted, this is not new; it is a reminder. What comes to mind is the numbers of people who continue to focus on the idea that if we just do what Our Lady exhorted about praying the Rosary and incorporating devotion to her Immaculate Heart into our lives, she will take care of everything. Well yes… and no… because she will not and cannot do it on her own. She lives in God’s Perfect Will and He is ever calling us to *respond* to the graces procured by praying the Rosary and honoring the devotion to her Immaculate Heart. Ours is a call – after a season of prolific messages being shared – to rise up and add the prayer of doing to our Rosaries and devotions.

I think, too, that these kinds of videos leave out the message that God is not bringing to us the division, chaos, corruption, trials and all manner of sorrows which we now experience. We did it to ourselves via so much unrepented sin. He has, actually, been ever at work in tamping down the consequences which our own sinfulness has wrought. However, our lack of response, as a human family, to His grace may well lead to a particularly severe chastisement which He may well send. (Many say we are already being chastised by living the consequences we have brought upon ourselves.) Yet, let us never forget that His Justice and Mercy are ONE. He simply doesn’t get angry like humans do as they seek revenge or simply throw a fit. No. His is an anger that resists, that cannot abide grievous sin. His anger is expressed in His Justice to call us back to Himself.

    1. here is the completed link from above:
“Ukraine produces a fifth of the wheat crop, required by the poorest. Not this year though. Whatever has been grown will be hard to store and harder to export – so that hunger and full-blown famine becomes a looming threat for hundreds of millions of the world’s hungriest people.

In richer countries, life is being made deliberately impossible for farmers. Spiking costs of fertilisers and fuel are one thing but governments in the Netherlands, across Europe, in Canada and elsewhere around the world are persecuting those who grow our food. Farmers are being made to endure restrictions that destroy their businesses, being driven off their land altogether. They will have to watch as fields they have known and cared for over generations are hoovered up by transnational organisations with other ideas about what that land might be used for.

If you think mass migration and immigration are difficult problems now, wait until the unavoidable famines cause a hemorrhage of humanity out of the poorest countries of Africa and the Middle East. Perhaps hundreds of millions of people with nothing more to lose. “
