The Shape of Things to Come

By Charlie Johnston

I was planning to launch an end-of-year fundraising drive this week but I’m holding off until the second week of January. My convalescence is over but I am not fully right yet. In normal times, I can work eight to 10 hours a day four days a week just fine. Right now, I can get in three or four, but if I go to five, I will be out of commission the next day or two. Tough stuff. I long for the days before my spinal surgery when 16 was a piece of cake and I could go 48 if needed. Truth is, you can still get a lot done in the aftermath of serious infirmity if you know and respect your own limitations. Each stage of life has its own joys and delights. Live them all well. Fortunately, I get notably stronger every few days, so I should soon be up to five or six – and that will play until I am completely recovered.

This piece – and the sequences that follow it – contain predictions, not prophecy. It is the sort of thing I did routinely when I was in the media and for political and other clients. My record has been one of 85+ percent accuracy – with the big downfall coming in timing. I am off on that at least 80% of the time – and probably closer to 90. It has value, though, just as colleagues and clients always found. This will just be a quick survey. Over the next week and a half I will go into more detail on each of the subject heads.

I expect next year to be one of decision and clarity. And I expect it to be much worse than 2021. While it will look like the left is backing off from some of the madness at the start of the year, by the second quarter, it will ramp up furiously. Here, then, specific categories of the coming madness.

Public Health

When the officials and media figures who have spent the last two years hysterically peddling Covid panic porn start conceding that what they called “conspiracy theories” are actual facts (or “spoiler alerts,” as one meme deliciously put it), you know the Covid narrative is in tatters and ready to fall away completely. That does not mean we are done with “crisis” medicine. For certain personalities (very common on the left and among busybodies who delude themselves they are living a life of high adventure), excuses to boss and bully other people are more addicting than crack cocaine. After a relatively subdued start to the year, look for new “crises” to justify more draconian dictates to start falling hard and heavy in the second or third quarter of the year. This could be because of fallout from the Covid shots (as bad as the early adverse reactions have been, they have only been short-term. The long-term reactions should start hitting in spring – and they are far worse than the short-term variety, unless people are VERY different from every animal ever tested). If not, do not be surprised if sinister officials collaborate to release a new and genuinely deadly virus into the mix.

Big Tech and Media

One of the biggest problems with modern corporate media is not just that they are consistently wrong about almost everything, but that they lack the intellectual bandwidth to have a clue about what they are talking about at all. It is like listening to a kindergartner opine about nuclear physics – only with a whole lot more malice. Since they have no self-awareness and are so very smug about their comically insurmountable ignorance, expect the same thing from them in 2022 as you got in 2021. A big surprise will be the collapse and shuttering of some very established social media sites. I expect Twitter to collapse and cease operations before the end of the year. Conservatives have been busy building their own sites that are immune to cancel culture – and the migration from old sites to the new rivals the migration out of Detroit in the mid-70’s. The biggest surprise will likely be that our technology will fail for a time. All those who manipulate bytes and pixels for a living would be well advised to learn some frontier skills. But they won’t. They think themselves masters of the universe – and are not aware that the shoulders of the “little” people they stand on are actually the giants who make what they do to make money possible.

`Economics

The economy of the US has been astonishingly resilient, especially when tricks are used to hide the disorders. I knew early last spring about the serious problems with the supply chain – which are FAR more serious than public officials are letting on. Inflation is poised to skyrocket beyond anything ever seen in the US. For decades, our foreign allies could experiment with cockamamie economic plans like a teenager playing with drugs – because America was always there with a backup plan. But when America gets addicted to disastrous economics, there is no backup plan – except God. And when the American economy topples, it takes the rest of the world with it. The actual “dark winter” Joe Biden loves to opine about will not come from disease, but from Democrats economic policies. The bag of tricks used to hide the dysfunction is nearly empty.

Domestic Affairs

If it weren’t for corporate media and “experts,” public officials would be the dumbest, most malicious people (as a group) in America. They seem particularly incapable of learning from their mistakes (which are legion), so we can expect more of the same throughout this year: eliminating borders to stop illegal immigration, abandoning allies to show our commitment to stability, appeasing enemies to force them to be nice to us; printing money to stop inflation and create prosperity. Most federal officials would make a marginally competent village board member. But just because we can expect more of the same invincibly ignorant behavior, that does not mean we will get the same results. The longer stupid policy is indulged, the more catastrophic the consequences. Our cities are in deadly danger of becoming Mad Max style dystopian landscapes. Migration from blue states to red will accelerate as people desperately seek safety and some limited opportunity rather than deadly crime and serfdom. If our technology fails for more than a month, millions will die – mostly in the cities and among the elites. For the most part, city dwellers and elites are as helpless as a newborn kitten if the utilities don’t work and Uber Eats doesn’t deliver. Ordinary people will adopt a modified form of the Benedict Option by necessity – for survival. When the system fails catastrophically, people will have to form a new system in conjunction with their neighbors and friends.

One thing I was notably wrong about the last few years was my conviction that police would stand with ordinary people if governments started issuing unconstitutional, arbitrary, draconian edicts. I have been horrified to watch the New York City Police Force, after itself being terribly oppressed and abused by former Mayor DeBlasio for eight years, eagerly harass and abuse families, old folks, and even children over Covid restrictions. I guess when the real problems are scary enough, functionaries attack fake problems to pretend like they are doing something useful while cowering from the real problems and violating both their oaths and basic decency. If only it were the NYPD! But across the land, too many police have eagerly followed malicious orders against their own citizens and neighbors. I could still ultimately be right about the police standing with the citizens, but only if there is an internal reckoning by honorable officers against those who eagerly bully those citizens.

Foreign Affairs

Barring divine intervention, 2022 will be the year when the whole world goes fully into crisis under the weight of anti-God, leftist power games. When people abandon God, all that is left is the quest for power. Without meaning, power is…well…meaningless. Western European elites have hollowed out their countries. They face the twin perils of internal revolt and demographic collapse. If ISIS reconstitutes, it will be in Western Europe. The elites won’t fight it, but the common people will as they withdraw their loyalty entirely from incompetent elites.

Australia, New Zealand, and Canada are already lost: they face the binary choice of revolution or sullen tyranny.

China is on the move and will likely use this window of America’s impotent senility to move decisively against Taiwan. Yet China’s emasculation of Hong Kong in violation of its commitment may have signaled weakness and insecurity rather than strength. China’s economy is more tenuous than America’s – or even Europe’s. Gobbling Hong Kong and Taiwan may very well be a desperate attempt to capture their economic prowess without offering them the freedom in which it flowered. Nothing is so dangerous and malevolent as a tyrant wounded by his own incompetence and failure. Something peculiar and subtle is going on in China that bears watching and sober study.

Russia is the most mis-analyzed country on earth. After making a caricature of it since 2015 for purely political purposes – to get Donald Trump, we drove Russia into the arms of China. It is a tactical alliance, though, not a strategic one. If our foreign policy geniuses (subpar under Republican presidents; absolutely delusional under Democrats) would just study a map while contemplating China’s hegemonic ambitions, the answer would emerge. Russia has understood the danger of China much longer than America and the rest of the world has. To complete its hegemonic ambitions, China MUST ultimately neutralize Russia. Vladimir Putin, whatever his faults, has understood this. To withstand Chinese aggression, he desperately needs a partner. During the Obama years, it was clear that this was not possible, as Obama’s foreign policy consisted entirely of wishful thinking. The Trump years offered a potential opening, but the Democrats chose to play malicious politics rather than grasp the reality that WE need a strategic ally to withstand the growing Chinese threat – so that opportunity was lost. Biden may be a wholly owned subsidiary of China. When Putin acknowledged in October, 2019, that the Russian relationship with China was “alliance-like” he was buying time – for he knew that help was not coming from the US anytime soon. Russia is desperately trying to enhance its strength before the inevitable confrontation with China – and fondly hoping that America will come to its senses before it is too late.

Effective diplomacy consists in establishing areas of mutual national interest, creating means of mutual benefit to further those interests, and exercising the credible threat of force when interests cannot be integrated. In my lifetime; Eisenhower, Kennedy, Nixon, Reagan and Trump conducted foreign policy primarily on the basis of mutual national interests. Otherwise, Republicans tend to try to outmaneuver everyone while Democrats try to appease unappeasable enemies while taking allies for granted. Catastrophic events will soon force us to act from national interests again – and it should begin with a major housecleaning in the foreign policy desks.

Politics

In the best of times, politics is a blend of self-interest, the struggle for power, and honest patriotism. These are not the best of times. As the elite classes have abandoned God, all that is left is self-interest and the struggle for raw power. Democrats have become predators while Republicans are timid geldings, arguing that they can better manage the governmental monstrosity Democrats have created but refusing to defend basic principles of liberty and self-government. Though I don’t like to say how truly pessimistic I am on this, there are only three active politicians I completely respect. Many talk a good game – but that is all it is. I expect this to continue until political authority has completely collapsed. We have come a lot closer to this outcome in the last year and a half than even I would have believed possible. And things are speeding up, not slowing down.

Religion

None of this depresses me, because I have been expecting it all for a very long time – and know it to be part of the process by which God will renew the world. Before the great confrontation can be fully engaged, God first purifies His people, to fit them for the battle. I have always been convinced that God intends each man and woman to make their stand – to rely on Him completely and not seek to abrogate their personal responsibility to someone else. The social dysfunction we are seeing is part of that process, forcing each of us to see that if we do not make our personal stand, this nation, under God, shall indeed perish from the earth. Many, maybe even most, Christians and faithful Jews have figured that out. But we still lack something. The best among us largely trust to their own strength and wisdom to carry out God’s will. That will not do. I think that God is going to deliver us from our manufactured religious certainties in the first half of this year. It will be painful and disorienting. The best minds are taken up with massive religious conspiracy theories to explain all that has gone wrong with the faith. They are wrong. Other top-notch people are caught up in a prophetic frenzy, imagining that they have completely divined the mind of God – who is always startling, fresh and new. They are wrong. Minor reforms are offered as panaceas that will correct all wrongs. Chopping away a branch does not kill the poisonous tree. If you would successfully navigate this period of purification I believe is upon us, you will live what I have taught from the start: Acknowledge God, Take the Next Right Step, and Be a Sign of Hope to Those Around You. This dictum combines steadfast resolve with genuine humility – acknowledging that we both don’t know much and can’t know much, but can only do the most right thing we can discern in the moment and then live it. We are going to have to get accustomed to thinking that all is lost while doing the best we can and trusting God to come through – in His time and in His way, seeking actively to find what we have missed. If God whispers to the best of us a thousand times per day, the best of us only hear 10 of those whispers. The “fiery trials” St. Peter speaks of in 1 Peter 4:12 are about to become our reality, I think. It is not for our destruction, but for our purification, that we may be true children of God as we act as the army of God to renew the faith and face of the world. Do not be dismayed, but trust that by the second half of the year you will be grateful for such intense training and deliverance from illusions that would prevent you from effectively re-evangelizing the world. When you can march forward with steadfast resolve when it looks as if all hope is lost, you are finally fit to be a soldier of God.

The Church

There are noble Bishops and noble Priests, but the hobbling of the hierarchy helps make it clear that this will be the hour of the ordinary man. War is being waged against the faith and the faithful from the heart of the Church. Do not be dismayed.

Usually, when the house is under siege, it is the father of the house who defends it. If the father of the house is disabled, it is the children of the house who defend it; not to overthrow the patriarch, but to restore him to honor and dignity.

“I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and turning to a different gospel.

Not that there is a different gospel, but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.

But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we (the apostles) preached to you, let him be accursed.” – Galatians 1:6-8

It is time to live this Scripture, that all righteousness may be fulfilled – and everything restored to its proper honor. Despite how much the Pope and many in the Vatican hate it, the Latin Mass isn’t going away. Despite those Bishops and Priests who hate the Gospels, they are not going away. I do not expect those Bishops and Priests who hate the Magisterial faith to start living fidelity (though I pray fervently that they do). I do expect honest Christians throughout the world to firmly commit themselves to living fidelity and, so, becoming God’s hands and feet in restoring the faith and face of the world.

Again, I will elaborate on these subject heads over the next week and a half. I have come to be devoted to Our Lady of America. I believe that America must lead in renewing the faith through purity and fidelity – and then help the rest of the world to recover it.  Then will come the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart and the renewal of the world.

Peace and prosperity are great blessings. But infirmity and affliction are God’s classroom. I fervently pray that the troubles that afflict us may soon pass away, but not a moment before we have absorbed every lesson God intends for each of. Let us all apply ourselves without nodding off while living the privilege of being in God’s classroom.

  1. The new virus would be the ploy to draw attention from the lies attached to covid. Mercy, People who fell for the covid narratives! Wake up and see the light.

I welcome loss of technology for a while… imagine the withdrawal complexes from all manner of addictions, from pornography to online shopping to social media bashing… That “catastrophic consequences” are on the horizon reminds me of something you have often said, Charlie: “These things must come.” Oh so important to remember that God is not doing this to us. HE is saving us from ourselves via this tough medicine unfolding.

I continue to wonder: When will those who know the election was stolen, who know the games being played by the current occupying rulers rise up to push back and push back hard? I just don’t see the possibility of tending to the major housecleaning in the foreign policy desks as a possibility without a shake up in the status quo of the current governing class. Hence, that political collapse of which you write HAS to come. We can’t change by staying the same.

WOW! On the Religion section, Charlie! “Manufactured religious certainties” are the work of the enemy. This is foundational and to be contemplated daily: “We are going to have to get accustomed to thinking that all is lost while doing the best we can and trusting God to come through – in His time and in His way, seeking actively to find what we have missed.” This is the effusion of purifying grace that will allow us to be anchored fully and completely to God Himself and on wanting what He wants. Hard, hard, hard work it shall be and absolutely essential for moving forward.

In solidarity of prayer with you, Charlie, and all who will encompass the intention in this: “Peace and prosperity are great blessings. But infirmity and affliction are God’s classroom. I fervently pray that the troubles that afflict us may soon pass away, but not a moment before we have absorbed every lesson God intends for each of. Let us all apply ourselves without nodding off while living the privilege of being in God’s classroom.” Amen. Amen.

Dear Friends, I invite you to check CORAC’s Prayer Teams Page at the beginning of the month and include the prayer intentions posted there in your ongoing prayers. (I have yet to send this month’s requests to MP, so please access this link in a few days.)

Oh Our Lady of America, pray for us and with us! In your own words given in your appearances to Sr. Millie, you called yourself the Co-redemptrix and you taught us ways to be co-redeemers with your Son. Here we are, embarking into the roughest waters yet of this Storm. Teach us anew how to live what you lived to perfection… to remain steady in the hardest challenges of the purification to come, to Love at every moment, to b.e.l.i.e.v.e. in God… His Plan and Ways, to choose hope and trust in Him, relying on Him completely even as we take every NRS inspired by Holy Spirit as we live our responsibility to partner with God all the days of our lives. We must spend eternity thanking God for you, for you never abandon us, but always accompany us, if we say but the word. Amen.

    3. That’s a double edged sword. Yes, bad things will stop.

And many will die because their monitors, their therapies and such will be impacted.

Remember Twain’s War Prayer? I’m in healthcare. The suffering would be horrendous. I don’t take that lightly and I wish it on no one.

      1. Point well taken on a natural level, Briana… yet, since the purpose of the Storm is for God to reclaim His children, I see this as an opportunity for people to cry out to Him in repentance as they seek His Mercy and and return to Him. Here, I think of Charlie’s previous reference to a story concerning the Israelites making their exodus in the desert. It was nearly a year ago, when he wrote An Expensive But Fruitful Breakdown:

“God intends to bring all back to Him who are willing. Last year, in a Tower of Babel moment, we were hit with a serious virus that, even so, was within the normal range of such things. It had some unusual characteristics that made it deadly to a small but identifiable portion of the population. We went into a frenzied mass of raw panic, characterized by ever-changing advice (Don’t wear masks! Wear masks! Wear two masks!) – and this contradictory kaleidoscope of misinformation was from public health authorities. Ambitious little tyrants started issuing broad commands to shut down the economy, destroy people’s lives and livelihoods, leave old folks to die alone and uncared for while their loved ones were begging to see them. This was all for “our own good.” We quarantined the healthy while confining the sick to absolute viral incubators. Here in the City of Man, we relied on everything but ordinary prudence and God. God is not mocked by our officious little power games and ego trips.

Yes, I do think this experimental gene therapy being called the Covid vaccine will be the greatest medical disaster in history.  Yet God is always responsive to the call of those who truly wish to come back to Him. He does not will the destruction of even the rebellious and is ever glad to take them back. When the Israelites in the desert began to grumble and speak vile things about Moses and God, God sent them a plague of poisonous snakes to punish them. Yet when the people cried out and repented, God told Moses to make a fiery snake and mount it on a pole – and when the repentant people bitten looked upon it, they would not die from their snakebites (Numbers 21). That serpent on a pole became the symbol, even in these times, of true medicine. So, yes, I think a lot of people are going to be bitten badly by this gene therapy “vaccine,” but I also think that all who took it in good faith and suffered serious adverse reactions before we knew how bad it would be will become martyrs to the Lord and will intercede for us both here and in heaven. Once it is clear how bad it is, everyone who repents and calls on the name of the Lord will be healed. And then we will know once again where our only true source of security lies and will once more turn to true medicine rather than the shifting kaleidoscope of politicized medicine that stalks the land, changing only to augment the power and influence of the few rather than the good of all. Some will NEVER call on God and, so, be lost.

  4. Wonderful summary Charlie and I believe you’re closer to 98% in your predictions. I’m a retired Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) and back in the day, me and my brother Officers would have refused those NYPD orders and it would shut down such nonsense on the spot. Now, I’m not certain about any LEO. The Lord has plenty to fix in the law enforcement community.

    1. I know two police officers, one in authority of long standing, who, when the Covid madness began, candidly told their superiors they would not enforce any mandates – and if that was a problem, tell them up front and they would find a new job now. In both cases, the superiors backed down. I am proud to know these two heroes (and no, they did not tell me after there was water under the bridge – they talked to me as it was happening.

  5. This is excellent Charlie…Beckita’s comments too. I plan to abstract this post for future reference, and look forward to the next installments.

Was visiting with a wise old friend, a priest and holy man, yesterday, New Year’s Day. He said he thinks it’s time for suffering. That suffering is going to be our ticket out of this mess.

I used to not understand things like this…why should I have to suffer. I’m not the problem!

Well, I may not be right now, but I spent MANY years before my reversion right in the middle of the “problem”. I did more than my share to bring the current state of affairs about. As a certain reverend used to say, “those chickens coming home to roost!”

And then I think about Our Lady and Our Lord. Who suffered more than them, and they sure weren’t part of any problem.

So I’m hoping for the best, but preparing for tougher times. And waiting on Our Lady to step into the arena.

Your motto to acknowledge God, take the next right step and be a sign of hope I’m afraid is going to become a necessary component to getting thru the days ahead.

  6. I received a whole bunch of jigsaw puzzles for Christmas (my family knows me well) and the five Joyful Mystery puzzles are the hardest. Just when I thought I had finished all the sorting and could actually start putting the pieces together, I discovered that many pieces didn’t fit where I expected them too.

Our world, right now, is exactly like my puzzles: a crazy, mixed up mess, one that only our Faithful Lord can sort. And thankfully, HE knows how those pieces all fit.

I am going to need to really reflect on much of this article, Charlie. There’s a lot of pieces and sorting them will take time for my small brain. (I’m glad you are going to expound on each section!)

  7. A data point with regards to the SARS2 Corona virus (Covid).

I had the pleasure of attending a Covid super-spreader event this past week. There was much joy, catching up on family matters, eating of good food and singing among other things.

The ages of the attendees range from 80+ to under 10. There were both males and females there. The total sample size was less than 20 people. There was a mixture of those who been jabbed and those who had not been vaccinated.

The preliminary data from this shows some interesting points.

    1. Regardless of vaccination status, everyone was infected. The only one who showed no overt symptoms was a teen-age girl unvaccinated.

    2. As previous published data has shown, people in the 5th decade of their life and older had more severe symptoms than those younger.

    3. Those who had been vaccinated in general had more severe symptoms and the duration of their symptoms lasted longer.

    4. When matched for age, those who had not been vaccinated recovered more quickly.

    7. The under 10s were treated with paracetamol (acetaminophen in the US) to control fever and restore appetite.

    8. Symptoms across the entire group were chills, fever, headaches, body-aches, light cough, post nasal drip, and tiredness, both severe and light.

    9. Symptoms were treated with a combination of acetaminophen, Thera-flu/Nyquil, herbal teas and rest.

    10. Symptoms appeared within 2-3 days of being exposed.

I thank God for this illness as it has given me the opportunity to offer up my small sufferings together with Jesus’ on the Cross for my parents (qepd).

  8. Charlie, glad to learn you continue to mend.

Your predictions all made sense to me. I also maintain hope that our regular police (not the FBI) will behave prudently, unlike in Canada, to my dismay. I respect three figures in politics that I will support: Trump, Pompeo, and DeSantis. In foreign affairs, Iran is said to be approaching nuclear bomb capability, so Israel has a choice of standing by or taking unilateral action, while the US and EU continue to pretend that Iran can be talked out of building nucs; I am inclined to think that Israel may act preemptively.

Re irrational behavior–that defines the current Democrat Party. Their behavior is in fact so outrageous, that even the uninformed who vote will reject them in the next federal election, creating a Republican House majority, and possibly even a Senate majority.

    1. Why is Trump so pro-vax, though? Is he being coerced somehow? Rhetorical question, of course, because how could we know for sure, but it is disconcerting.

      1. CINDYJ . . . I believe Trump knows his supporters (who did not get a jab in 2020) were not going to get a jab just because he (repeatedly) says something positive about the “vaccines”. He knows his supporters are capable of reason and logic. I further believe there are other factors in play which warrant his decision to seem to appear “pro-vax”. I choose to not discuss or elucidate here about these other factors.

I may be wrong, but even the anti MRNA doctors still advise it for older people, because covid can be deadly for them.
Perhaps covid is worse than the “vaccine” for them, but for those who are younger the “vaccine” is worse than covid???

        1. Given effective medicine, even the oldest with several or more co-morbidities can recover. It’s just not true that mRNA vaxing is a better option for a good outcome than appropriate supplements in conjunction with IVM or hydroxychloroquine.

        2. If you go to HowBad[dot]info, you can see a compilation of the VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Effect Reporting System) data in term of various “vaccine” batches (or lots) from the multiple pharma providers. It turns out that about 5% of the batches account for ~90% of deaths and severe disabilities. The approach indicates field testing on human subjects and appears to have been coordinated by pharma suppliers so only one at a time running the A/B tests. You can see charts and graphs without editorials. Just a published analysis of publicly available VAERS data.

      3. This does not surprise me in the least. I do not think he is being coerced, I think he has been invested in the vaccine for some time, perhaps as many have been. there are so many who have gotten the “vaccine” in good faith, believing the untruths, half truths, and outright lies that have been told since the beginning. Over the Christmas season I had the opportunity to celebrated with almost all of my immediate family, children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters. I think I am one of the few that have not been “shot”. If I tried to explain why I would not take the shot I was promptly silenced, talked over, and dismissed. These are not people who are radicals or democrats, but they are so invested in their decision that to consider anything to the contrary is unthinkable. Listening to them talk about their experiences with the vaccine led me to believe that many have just been duped into believing whatever the scientific community has spouted for the past year and a half. I also blame many in the medical community because they have swallowed the lies without listening to their own training. I asked my own doctor, who I do like, whether he would prescribe ivermectin if I got sick. He said no because it is not proven effective. I have read the studies and listened to doctors and patients who have cited the benefits so I know better, why is he not doing the same research I have? It’s his job! I had one medical professional tell me it doesn’t work at all! What are they paying attention to anyway? CDC= confusion, deception, chaos. Sorry for being long-winded, but I am so weary of all the crap being shoved down our throats by “men of ruined intellect and corrupt hearts” as the St Michael prayer calls them, filled with the spirit of lying, of impiety and blasphemy, the pestilent breath of impurity, all vice and iniquity”. I feel so sorry for those who have been deceived and pray for them every day. Lord open their eyes, their minds, and their hearts.

        1. Mom, I agree with so much of what you’ve expressed and noted. Same dynamics at work in my family. I think the support of vaccines is THE biggest mistake of Trump’s public life. I also have this observation that really good doctors have lost the courage to stand for truth – concerning lies attached to covid, vaccines and drugs such as IVM – in the face of government pressure because of the potential consequences of not following the deadly protocols. Speaking and acting in truth would cause health institutions which have come to rely on government funding to be cut off from funds to keep going.

          1. Beckita, I think Trump knows exactly what he is doing. The Narrative supporting the vaxxxes is finally starting to come apart. If he were *now* to switch his support to rejection, suddenly the media would make it all about Trump, and the Narrative would be reinforced in the minds of those with TDS. This would very probably undo the recent pressures those folks have been facing to wake up.

As Patrickfgh says above, Trump’s current impact has played out already, so the pressing need is to break the Narrative. I think he is willing to take whacks to his image now if that helps break the Narrative sooner rather than later and thus save more people sooner.

But we will have to wait to see how this actually plays out. 🙂

            1. I see what you mean about Trump not jumping in right now with commentary, Steve, due to TDS, but I still believe he initially erred greatly by urging the FDA to fast track approval of the vaxxes as a part of Operation Warp Speed.

              1. I wonder if Trump could have known or did know that technology being used wasn’t vaccine technology but gene therapy? Also, if he did know, did he understand the depth of the risks and the failure of its use in animals?

                  1. Yeah, he most certainly underestimated the capacity for pure evil. I get it. Average people don’t want to believe anyone could be so single-mindedly obsessed with raw power and death.

              2. Beckita, consider the idea that Trump forced the acceleration because the original Plan to release the bioweapon was designed to have taken a few more years. How programmable would our people have been if the Evils had controlled what we saw and heard for 3-4 years instead of just one? Virtually all of us would have been programmed so that when the vaccines would have been rolled out in 2024, with the Dems and the Media in control, *everyone* would have willingly taken the vaxxxines and the media would never have reported any issues and turned the deaths we all saw around us into Covid deaths, and a billion people would have died around the world.

From all of my research on this issue, Trump literally short-circuited their longer plan while he held power, exposed those in our government and media who were on board with the Plan, and gave us time and social media coverage via the anons and those around them and our own work to discover what was otherwise supposed to be hidden (that the vaxxxines were kill shots). And here we are, with more and more of us waking up to Evil and the existence of the Evils.

Trump knew exactly what he was doing, and now he is doing everything he can to end the Narrative and expose the Evils. Something like this PDF below would *never* have had the chance to come out and circulate if he had not accelerated the vaxxxine development process to the point where Pharma earned billions based on clearly flawed trials that will stand up in any rational court (which now has its time to come). He successfully baited them with tens of billions of dollars of what they thought would be free money to compromise their trials, and they fell for it. Now they’re caught dead to rights.

                Click to access The-COVID-19-Inoculations-More-Harm-Than-Good-REV-Dec-16-2021.pdf

This PDF is not fire. This is a nuclear bomb that would never have existed if Trump had not taken the path he took. Probably a million US citizens have died and more will follow, but when you have a choice in this war between 10M dead and the population awake and demanding justice versus 200M US citizens dead, the remainder enslaved to the Narrative, and our country lost, you and I would make the same choice Trump made. As far as I can tell, there really were only those two choices available to him. Either stand aside and let the Evils play out their Plan or accelerate events to force mistakes.

Now keep this in mind, because it will stir you. Trump *always* exacts revenge on those who harm him and his family, and in this, *we* are his family. None of us really know how he is going to do this, but you can be absolutely and completely and totally sure that he will.

              3. A factor that we should bear in mind is that President Trump isn’t immune to the fatal attraction of Power. He’s a man like everyone else. Of course, he initiated many, many positive changes in our country, but he was also a major driving force behind funding development of the mRNA shots. In that regard, he was horribly mistaken.

Now, we have a new President, one who hasn’t initiated a single positive change. In addition, he’s attempting to force everyone single one of us into taking that potentially harmful shot, some of us against our will. He’s also horribly wrong. In regard to these shots, both Presidents are responsible for having inflicted untold harm upon the citizens they’ve sworn to protect.

The original CDC/FDA VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System) site is no longer usable (as far as I can see). The data now appears to be hidden behind complex data sets and a highly confusing search engine, thereby making the totals inaccessible. Yet the numbers of deaths, hospitalizations, serious injuries and disabilities continues to climb!

                Thankfully, a free enterprise site has taken over the role previously performed by our government health agencies. Those individual and family tragedies climb every day, every week, as more of us are intimidated into taking these immoral and dangerously untested shots. The total now exceeds 21,000 unnecessary deaths;

ps. please think seriously about bookmarking the above link/site. The data it shows allow a truly informed consent when considering these shots.

                1. Dave, I LOVE all the good Donald Trump did for our country… and our world. And he persisted even when he was being attacked, lied about, and illegally prevented from the rightful use of the power legitimately invested in him and his office. Mercy! At every turn he was the victim of those who practice corruption as their daily bread. You are correct in noting that no one, not even DT, is immune to the attraction of power, but I’m not convinced that was his motive. That said, I don’t know why he pursued the mRNA tech stuff. It DID open the door to a lot of death and heartache. Of course, the powers that be in the Left intentionally heightened the destruction by promoting and mandating the vaxx for nothing but sinister motives. Back to Trump… we all make mistakes… even the very best of us do. What our motives are, well, sometimes our own motives can be covered by an internal blind spot, until looking back in hindsight.

                  1. Just about a year ago I thought wryly, as Democrats were taking credit for the Covid shots, that on this one Trump should just let them – and we would know things were beginning to get ugly when the Dems started giving him credit (prelude to blame) for them.

              4. Beckita, I do too about Trump with this one caveat. Trump was no medical expert and he relied on Fauci who he didn’t know at that time to be corrupt and a perpetrator of “gain of function”. To me President Trump was surrounded by a “den of thieves”. I don’t think he realized how steeped in corruption the swamp was. We all thought we had a government of and by the people, that elections would be honored. I still feel a bit like a deer in the headlights when I think on all of this. I don’t trust any of them. The only two I trust in are Jesus and the BVM. My awakening started way back in 2008 and I have relied on them to lead me to truth.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Thank you all for your prayers for my oldest son. He recovered from CVD in about a week. Slight symptoms: headache, congestion, slight cough. He is vaxxxed. My daughter-in-law stayed negative. They did not quarantine from each other. She is also vaxxxed and had a booster. While we missed seeing them, and I worried, I am grateful that he recovered.

For many, Lent is the season of struggle. For me, it’s always Advent. The Old Testament reading of He is the potter, we are the clay has so much meaning for me. Advent is always hard. I could feel His gentle pull of the clay (me) until He obviously got tired of my reluctance to take the step I needed to, for then He began to tear and throw and shape. It was shocking, exhausting and I am so GRATEFUL!!! I awoke the next morning feeling as if I just left years of being in a maze in my head. I don’t want to go back there. I ask His grace not to allow myself to go back in the maze.

    Prayers for all here!

Who will be hit worse by this, the vaxxed or the not-vaxxed??

    Liked by 4 people

      1. Actually, I don’t think so, Beckita. The vaxxxes have severely damaged the immune systems of many of those people who have been vaxxxed, so – pure speculation here – the vaxxxed who received shots from the bad lots would likely fare worse, just as is happening now with Covid and even Omicron. The ones who likely will fare the best will be those with good nutrition, high Vitamin D3, high Vitamin C intake, and few existing toxins like Glyphosate in their bodies, and few previous vaccines, because their innate and adaptive immune systems are stronger than average for their age. And, of course, those who truly rely on God and do the best they can each day. The key is not to allow a fear of death to drive you into unwise actions but rather to be prepared before anything like that hits and then act with care.

Since the Agricultural Revolution, people in general have been malnourished, low in Vitamin D3, with low intake of Vitamin C. That has made for a perfect arena for large-scale illnesses. That need not apply to us any longer, but it does require some effort to eat real food, take some focused supplements, and avoid toxins like glyphosate and adulterated vaxxxines. The fact that so many people over the past few decades have had a series of colds and flus every year is not an indication of a deficiency of vaccines but due to weak, malnourished immune systems. Take in the right materials and don’t take in the wrong materials, and it is highly likely you will simply stop getting sick with those illnesses and be more likely to be able to resist being harmed by something released by the Cabal. It’s not a guarantee, of course, but it is likely to be a big help.

        1. Excellent distinction, Steve. Surely the vaxxed with damage will be in a weakened state which makes them especially vulnerable to further bio attacks. Your additional counsel is also excellent on a natural level, and this natural order – when honored by those who choose to take care of their bodies – is a gift from the Lord.

I also recommend, again, praying – with faith – the prayer composed by Charlie for the most strenuous labors inherent in the toughest phase of this Storm. It remains by my place at the kitchen table as I begin each day by praying it:

“Come, Lord Jesus, purify this food and drink and all I consume in any way. Let it lead me to strength, to apostolate, and to take the next right step; at all times, in all places, and in all situations.

Lord, let me never spurn the abundant natural means you have prepared for us. Let me take the next right step while never petulantly demanding that only Your supernatural means of protection are acceptable to me. Never let my obedient prudence stray into hubris that I know better than You, thus forfeiting the divine protection that is essential to me. Let me use all the tools You have given to discern between good and evil, knowing that I am responsible to You for every decision I ever make and cannot abrogate them to anyone else under the color of authority.

When I err, Lord, show me Your mercy by firmly correcting me and filling me with resolve to get back up and go forward in Your service. When I have done well, give me the grace to minister to Your people who have stumbled, acting as true brothers and sisters in building each other up to strengthen Your Kingdom. Teach me to want what You want, never to attack the freedom You have given all people through Our Lord, but to convince and exhort in unfailing patience and humility. Lead me in a plain path, turning neither to the left out of anger nor to the right out of fear. Create in me a clean heart that I may participate with You in proclaiming Your Kingdom. Lord, You know I love you. Have mercy on me, a poor sinner. Amen.”

          1. I got a bit discouraged about the war on religion and obvious hurt yesterday. But I reminded myself of what Charlie says, sometimes you need a day to process, then back at it.

I was able to take some quiet moments to remember all I had been taught here and re-commit to it. Particularly what you mentioned about the difference with being real with God and being disrespectful—I expect I will never get it spot-on, but The Lord blesses any and all attempts for reform here.

I love those prayers you reiterated above, and have condensed the plain path one as a go-to when my mind is scrambled and I need a pithy clear arrow.

The other help I have found, so simple, and even my anxiety can’t mess it up, is the first 2 verses of the 23rd psalm—“The Lord is my Shepherd, there IS NOTHING I shall want.” Especially when done as Sonja Corbitt suggests, focus on each word, emphasizing a different word each time. It is really powerful and God has blessed this.

I also like what Anne a Lay Apostle reported in one of the volumes (can’t remember which) wherein The Lord told her a person should never get discouraged when they find themselves begging for fresh graces to overcome the same.old.problem, day-after-day.

                1. I love this Peter Kreeft quote, Linda: “I strongly suspect that if we saw all the difference even the tiniest of our prayers to God make, and all the people those little prayers were destined to affect, and all the consequences of those effects down through the centuries, we would be so paralyzed with awe at the power of prayer that we would be unable to get up off our knees for the rest of our lives.” Toss in the prayer of doing, offered in a morning intention for the day and we ARE figuratively, and joyfully, on our knees all day long… and can do so for all our days on this side of the veil. When I think of John 16:23, I am confident that praying for our dear ones – and all peoples – to repent and embrace the Lord will be generously answered, for we pray in God’s Will for each one to do so.

Thank you Stevebc I look forward to your advise!!! I’m going to start calling you Dr Stevebc!!! Maybe you are?

          1. No, Linda, I’m not a doctor, LOL, and you can’t ask me for medical advice. However, it sounds as if you should do what I did years ago, which totally changed my path through life.

Your asthma probably comes from two related sources, reflux and food sensitivities. If you can reliably keep a food journal, great. If you can’t, then you need to enlist someone to help you do that.

You need to find a doctor who is an alternative MD who will help you identify food allergies/sensitivities through a blood test set and help you set up an elimination diet to verify the results. I know pretty much zero about you and your health history, so this is not something I can help you on, but it is the right way to do this. When you eliminate the foods you are allergic or sensitive to, believe me, you will feel much better. And taking Hydrochloric acid and digestive enzymes at most or all meals should help reduce the reflux and help you absorb more of the nutrients you eat – 99% of everyone who suffers from reflux has too *little* stomach acid and needs to add more when they eat. Your doctor can help you figure out how much you need if he is an alternative MD.

If you’re allergic to beef, and you eat beef, you’re not helping yourself. You need to know every single ingredient in your meals and snacks and track what you eat and how you feel in your journal until you have found real food that you can tolerate.

I’m sensitive to milk products and to all grass grains, so my food selection is fairly narrow. However, I feel great and am healthy partly because I know every ingredient of every food I eat. I eat organic or biodynamic meats and foods whenever I can. I avoid polyunsaturated seed oils like canola, safflower and olive oil. I eat simple meals for the most part. My diet is a modified Paleo/Keto diet, and all my measurements of metabolic health are within range.

You can do this, but it takes some time, effort and good advice from an awake doctor. I suggest looking for an ACAM alternative MD here to see if one is close enough to you:

Not that any of us will want to in any remote way revisit 2022….but it is sort of an interesting time to be journaling. Two birds with one stone!

I am indeed going to look up a dr that you recommended for this research.

I’m not completely sure he/she would be able to help me too much because I’m one of those crazy grown up kids that began smoking 🚬 at 12😫. I loved it from the first toke!!! 😫 Unfortunately my mom n dad smoked young and so they didn’t think it was too bad for me until much later in life. The sailboat racing atmosphere didn’t help! Hahahahaha Shoot! I remember my dad at the helm and me behind him on the backstay during long long races (sometimes 24 hrs) with no air (wind) and both of us lightning up to see if we could figure out which way the air was coming from😂. Oh those childhood and teenage memories 🥰 thankfully I did quit smoking about 8 or nine years ago but I’m sure I’ve damaged my lungs pretty bad! Mea culpa mea culpa mea maxima culpa!!!😂

But I still think you’re onto something because certain days my lungs feel great and others not so!!! I actually I feel the BEST when I fast which I try to do daily for Our Lady at least until 3 pm. It’s all I know to offer to her🥰. But actually fasting makes me think a lot of it is food allergies too because as soon as I eat I feel like fat crappo man!!! Lol

Stevebc I used to be allergic to 🌲 trees, grass, dairy, wheat and eggs for which I got weekly shots. Maybe that is a strong clue! 🤔

              1. Great, Linda, that sounds good. What I gather is that anything you are allergic to as a child you are likely at least sensitive to when an adult. It doesn’t mean you can’t eat them, although it may. I can eat certain things now with minimal problems as long as I only eat them once every couple weeks or month. If I eat them more often, I develop issues. I sneezed 50 or more times a day for decades until I figured out I was allergic to grass grains and just stopped eating grains entirely. Within 5 days I stopped sneezing. Wow, what a relief! And drinking milk or eating milk-based foods will thicken my mucus and start me strangling at night in bed. With your history of smoking, you may have denser mucus and so might benefit from getting rid of dairy, and the addition of N-acetyl-cysteine might also help. Good luck on your new adventure. I think your journal will be required reading in home schools a hundred years from now! 🙂

                    2. I read it too, Linda. The key words in the headline title are not to be missed: “Possible Outbreak.” Does that mean that those who have given themselves over to evil, scheming and being used as tools of the enemy are not capable of unleashing some biological weapon? No. They are most capable of heinous ugliness, so we continue to keep a vigil of prayer as we TRUST and HOPE in the Lord while He unfolds His Plan and we next right step with Him through it all. 🙂

We can’t pretend otherwise, but I keep focused on the reality that the graces we need to remain with God and continue taking next rights steps tomorrow – or any day in the future – won’t be with us until tomorrow and all the days ahead of us. I love your reply here!

We can do it, Linda, as we hold one another up, remembering: Where sin abounds, grace abounds all the more.

        3. Steve,
When my 7 kids were growing up we had limited funds so we bought a lot of raw and bulk foods (before GMO’s were common). One advantage to these foods over processed are no added artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. This combined with their farmyard lifestyle my children suffered few colds and flues and excelled both physically and mentally. Before my youngest daughter was married, she was a competitive skater and a ballerina. She was so fit that during the delivery of her first child she showed so little distress and pain the nurses thought she was not in labor….until the baby came!
As you attested to Steve; Good food, fresh air, clean living, prayer and an active lifestyle do create robust health and a strong immune system..

So glad to learn you are doing better – have prayed for you every day.
I pray for us ALL every day!
I have tried to “see” my part in all this and realized that I cannot – I must focus on the Next Right Step.
Just so you know, that in the event that we can no longer be in contact via the internet, you are all always in my prayers.

Wowie, Charlie, sooo much to chew on. We intellectually know these things are coming, but speaking for myself, I cannot imagine what will happen in these areas, or how.
I agree with Katey, that I can’t “see” it now, but have to trust the Holy Spirit to guide me.
The most painful part is that 3 of our 4 children are far away. I can’t think too much or I feel fearful.
It’s easy to see however, that my spiritual journey and re-conversion of the last 30+ years have been a training course! God bless and strengthen us all!

I fervently pray that the troubles that afflict us may soon pass away, but not a moment before we have absorbed every lesson God intends for each of. Let us all apply ourselves without nodding off while living the privilege of being in God’s classroom.” Amen. Amen.

Amen Charlie and Beckita — THIS (infirmity and affliction are God’s classroom) is the golden nugget! With complete faith in God, we TRUST HIS plan as it unfolds.

These past 4 months of infirmity have not gone by with me sitting idly by. NO!, I have been like a sponge, trying to sop up every lesson that He has graced me with. Thank you Jesus!

On inflation, we have to remember, those of us who were around during the Carter years, that America at that time was NOT a debtor nation like we are now. So inflation will be twice as bad and will carry a big stick. I agree, with Charlie’s predictions.

Once vaxx effects start to manifest, they will just claim this to be a “new” variant and continue the regime which will continue the effect, etc. A self- perpetuating pandemic. Since they have the propaganda infrastructure already in place the media will stop alternate studies and opinions to be proliferated so they can keep the narrative going.
This is much easier and safer (for them) than introducing another disease.

So it seems the refinement is already happening. What we witnessed in the church we go to involves the mystery of suffering where ?why and ?how are the questions of the day and this statement is spot-on. I told Fr. M. what another beloved priest told us decades ago in another time of suffering: “God cannot be out done in generosity” If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, it be impossible to give testimony to that. By the grace of God we will all walk tnrs and keep on keepin’ on.

On a brighter note it wouldn’t surprise me if the folks behind this latest “Encanto” film are tnrs’ers. As it gets darker, the animated stories become more meaningful. This one had so many positive messages and was well done:

I do think, though, when we are on the other side of this, we will be so truly grateful for both the blessings now and the strength and graces He gave us for this battle. We are already so much more prepared, I think, then so many others. Praise God!

      1. Jewels, I am not sure how prepared one can be. It will come down to total reliance on the Almighty. One can try to plan, but I am sure that preparation will be secondary to firm faith. Just think of all the times we have been surprised with unimaginable circumstances and have felt weak and helpless. I imagine that God’s strength will eventually reveal itself in our weakness. Often He waits until much has happened and all seems lost…. So we pray and hope and remember that we are not alone.

        1. Ah, Judith, that’s what I meant–we who have faith and trust in God already are much more prepared than those who believe in government or themselves.

I admit, the fire in Colorado (so close to home for me), was a great lesson in trusting God. It made me ponder on what’s important and how I would have acted/reacted.

As Dr. Malone states, “This headline is a nuclear truth bomb masquerading as an insurance agent’s dry manila envelope full of actuarial tables.”

  21. I struggle to understand why sinister officials would collaborate with the release of a truly deadly virus. As COVID has shown, a virus will do what a virus does regardless of our own efforts to control it. Fortunately for our authoritarian leaders’ sakes, a COVID infection is quite survivable. Intentionally releasing a deadly virus is just as risky as releasing poisonous gas on a battlefield; the winds could shift and blow the gas over one’s own position. Killing oneself in the process of trying to subdue and control others hardly seems productive.

Unless we’re looking at a situation like what Hitler faced near the end of the war. Faced with mounting losses, instead of focusing energy and resources towards winning the war, Hitler instead focused on causing as much mayhem and death as possible. Have I answered my own question, or is there something I am missing?

I find it difficult to accept that our human enemies already see the battle lost and are ready to destroy everything and potentially themselves.

  25. Yes, Charlie, you do us a great service to lay out your understanding of what we face, not as a prophet but as a blessed critical thinker. I thank you.

I, too, am on the recovery side of a Covid attack [ started 5 December]. Lungs are affected and at 79 recovery is slow. Fatigue is intense. I am in God’s school and boy, do I need it. I mention to a friend that I MUST make this a time of redemptive suffering. Her response was always. ” Yes, but it is terribly hard.” Words matter and when spoken, we own them. I am making a concerted effort not to remind God how hard this is but to use it for the conversion and salvation of souls. I can see that this will be more critical as we get deeper into the storm. And, no, those who bought into this evil will not give up short of Divine Intervention in their lives. I’m praying for it. I am on the short end of my life. I choose to be for the Lord.

Heavenly blessings to all here. And a belated Blessed Christmas and a Holy, Joyous, Peaceful year in Christ

But I think I have been blessed enough for now.” I try to frame my complaints in a manner that might gain a chuckle from the Almighty.

      1. That is so charming, Charlie.

Judy, I like to remind myself that there is a difference between lamenting and complaining. Lamenting is nothing more than being real before God with our honest feelings expressed – not puked on anyone (forgive me if that sounds harsh or gross), but expressed to the One Who knows us better than we know ourselves. And we can still make an offering of our misery, even as we authentically express – with an attitude of respect – how things are going.

One example: When Fr. Wang and I had covid more than a year ago, Father recovered more quickly than I by taking an anti-viral drug. On my last few actively ill days, I was feeling mighty awful (Father and I had laid hands on each other to pray every day during the worst of feeling ill.), so Father prayed, “Dear Jesus, she’s had enough.” No whining. No lack of respect. Just concern for this adopted daughter in misery. And Jesus answered his prayer beautifully. 🙂

  26. The core foundation of all this is the mass Holocaust of the Unborn. Once a mass murder is legitimized in the society how can everything else be in place? How can God be acknowledged if His Fifth Commandment is blatantly trampled and flushed down the toilet. We are dealing with global Auschwitz 2.0 on steroids, even corrupted WHO admits that around 70 million of the Unborn are executed every year. I guess we got to the point of bragging about how many lives were aborted. I believe once abortion is legally called for what it is, namely a murder of a human being, then we can hope for politics, education and other functional areas of the society to be what they should be.

    January Prayer Intentions

*For a complete recovery for all our CORAC members and families who may be suffering with covid

*For a resoundingly successful response to the new CORAC fundraising drive

    * For a new infusion of courage, strength, fortitude, trust and hope as we continue into the toughest and roughest segment of this Storm in 2022

*For our police officers to break free from participating in tyranny and fully live their oath of honor

*That each one grows in relying on God completely and refrains from abrogating their personal responsibility to someone else

*That all will embrace the wisdom of letting prophecies rest and be ALL IN with what MUST be the focus of making our stand with God: Acknowledge Him, take the next right step and be a sign of hope to those around us

*That fear be banished, in the Name of Jesus, as we choose to do what Charlie has exhorted: “…become accustomed to thinking that all is lost while doing the best we can and trusting God to come through – in His time and in His way, seeking actively to find what we have missed”

We pray: Come Holy Spirit descend anew upon us, granting us breakthrough in the ability to hear God’s whispers in each of our lives, the better to live the following expressed wisdom which Charlie wields as a weapon of merciful truth to also exhort us, even as we join him in praying for what he conveys. Truly, to suffer for something good is beautiful. “Infirmity and affliction are God’s classroom. I fervently pray that the troubles that afflict us may soon pass away, but not a moment before we have absorbed every lesson God intends for each of. Let us all apply ourselves without nodding off while living the privilege of being in God’s classroom.” Amen!

    1. “That all will embrace the wisdom of letting prophecies rest …”
If legitimate prophecy exists in these days, is it not a work of God?

The Foundress of a worldwide television network comes to mind. Her remarkable discernment of legitimate prophetic voices including episodes on Father Gobbi’s Marian Movement of Priests, Our Lady of America, Sr. Briege McKenna, etc., as well as her own mystical experiences with her guardian angel and the Child Jesus were hopeful, enlightening and uplifting, perhaps needed today more than ever to contrast the darkness that surrounds us.

I do not question God on His Wisdom to continue Medjugorje apparitions for over 40 years, or to provide other prophetic voices these days for that matter. If anything, I would encourage prayer for discernment. In fact though, I do not pray about prophecies at all; I listen to them and many times am taught, encouraged and blessed by them.

      1. When my interpretation of a visitation’s message failed, I took full responsibility and stepped back for a time. The thing I get aggravated over is that so many peddle prophecies that fail – either in their substance or in their interpretation – and then take NO responsibility and go merrily along saying the next thing that pops in their head.

From the very start of my writing about these things, I was adamant that Scripture, the Magisterium, and Apostolic Authority are prime. Too many people who promote prophecy put that above the solid foundation of Scripture and the Magisterium. Show me someone who puts Scripture and the Magisterium first, who takes full responsibility for errors and I will listen for a time. Otherwise it is just an exotic form of entertainment.

In the aftermath of my failure, one prominent theologian called me and said, “Don’t feel too bad, Charlie. All that you have lost are the prophecy chasers. Those who came for the meat in the first place will continue to read you if you come back.” My Archbishop was entirely right when he allowed me to continue but warned that despite my efforts to focus on what is solid, many people were drawn by the extravagant to satisfy their itching ears.

I can’t seem to get people to understand that prophecy is deadly serious business and not a form of entertainment. We each will be held to account for what we do and say by God and for whether we build up or tear down the faithful – and it is a rigorous accounting. I actually agree with your opening line about legitimate prophecy, but if the “prophets” do NOT take full responsibility for what they say, acknowledging error as candidly as they tout success, I do not take them seriously. I see too many who go back and quietly change what they wrote without acknowledging their original take and its errors. I certainly do not take seriously what my theologian friend called the “prophecy chasers,” those who jump seamlessly from failed prophecy to failed prophecy, justifying the serial errors by saying exactly what you did in your first paragraph. Prophecy without discernment or accountability is just an exotic fireworks show; a lot of sound and fury signifying nothing. We have serious times before us and should be sober, candid and steadfast.

If I were a captain and, after the battle had begun, saw some men hanging back ostensibly so they could study the battle plan further, I would know they were not devoted to the duty that was upon them, but trying to make excuses for avoiding it.

      2. Of course, authentic words from Heaven are of God, SGM. Still, there are so many reasons to let them rest. I didn’t say “ignore” or “reject” but let “them rest.” To allow those prophecies to rest is to refrain from figuring everything out and to honor the truth that interpreting authentic prophecy is more often NOT a simple, single dimension of taking the words as literal in meaning. Rather, interpreting prophecies is a verrry complicated business, involving consideration of many dimensions. And beyond interpretation, God is the Author of Prophecy, but He is not subject to those prophecies. Further, if we over-focus on the prophecies we believe to be authentic, we may well miss the significance of the many surprises God will interject. Prophetic words give us but a misty look at what lies ahead. As Charlie once wrote, it is as looking through a glass darkly. For example, I fully believe the Medjugorje prophecies will come to pass with the revealing of the Ten Secrets. AND, at the same time, I know God has every right to bypass that potentiality and choose different ways to accomplish what He wishes to bring about. Therefore, I let those Ten Secrets rest in God’s Mighty Plan. I also realize that many seemingly authentic prophecies are not the real deal.

My head is literally filled with memories of prophetic words. With some priests and lay folk who were well read in Mariology and the mystical literature of the Church, I was blessed in the 90’s and on into the first decade of this century to study what seemed to be authentic and, then, travel to every continent but Australia and Antarctica, honoring and venerating Our Lady at many shrines erected to mark the places where she has come to prepare and awaken her children to these times. I can’t erase all those messages from my memory, nor would I want to, but I certainly allow them to rest in the Lord now. SO grateful for Charlie’s teachings and exhortations over these last eight years which are the foundation for why I am able to better focus on living the wisdom in this counsel:

“None of this depresses me, because I have been expecting it all for a very long time – and know it to be part of the process by which God will renew the world. When you can march forward with steadfast resolve when it looks as if all hope is lost, you are finally fit to be a soldier of God.”

My beloved Sis said after LiamXOXO died(made me laugh and feel God’s love) “Jesus stop loving her!” I know what Ima made outta (not much, very much less than I thought, TYG) but the paradox Ima focusing on is that God wants my “not much” Haha! How wonderful!

Anyways what’s been pressed on my heart, what I hear my marching orders to be, is Do.Do.Do the seemingly meaningless stuff that I have in piles (laundry, removing Husky glitter—i mean fur, doing the Latin course for my 2 students—God help me, ptsd here facing beautiful memories and Loss), etc. Leave all the details to God.

The ole’ wrapping meself in me hidden vocation, as the road to Joy and the evils of the day are Enough (Hah, understatement if there ever was one!)

Keep on keepin on and God Bless us, Everyone!

Oh, Littlelight, we’re all in the same boat: we each have but our five loaves and two fish… and to our Father Who loves us beyond all telling, what we have is enough… He, then, blesses it and transforms our wee offering into something glorious in the eyes of Heaven. PS I think you said you’ve signed up for the new book club based on Sonja’s latest book, JUST REST. If not, the recording will be available to those that missed the cutoff.

Seriously, Husky glitter can be made into cheingora. A kiddo crocheted the loveliest hat and fingerless gloves and scarf from cheingora. Who knew, LOL!

Yesss, I did sign up and I got an evite. Very exciting opportunity.

                2. I am looking for a concise reference in printed form (not interwebz)that would list all the daily, Sunday and Holyday mass readings for both the n.o. calendar and the extraordinary rite. Can you (or another) recommend how to go about this? Turns out this a verily complicated and potentially expensive endeavor.

I know they publish missals for the n.o, I have one, but it’s only “Vol 1, Advent to Pentacost” and the years A, B and C only go up to 2001, Hah! So Ima outta luck for “Pentacost to Advent” and Sundays/Holydays, ugh. It is: New St. Joseph Weekday Missal Complete Edition 1975. You can tell I haven’t really used it, urg.

Would this be a good one for the tlm calendar?

                  1. I’d go for a more recent edition, LL, of the NO Roman Missal. I’m not at all sure about TLM resources. As I looked at Amazon via your link and did some additional searching there, I couldn’t find a description that explicitly said the missal encompassed all you’re looking for. You may have to purchase more than one volume. I’d call around to some stores/vendors who sell Catholic resources. If they don’t have what you’re looking for, they may suggest other vendors for you to check out.

                    1. Also, Littlelight. If you’re looking for this resource to accomplish the suggestion made at the book study meeting, it may be too overwhelming to get both NO and TLM literature. Perhaps it’s wiser to choose one or the other for this year and, if the NO readings are in three volumes, just get this year’s now and add in the next years when you get to those years.

                    2. TY! I think this may be a really good resource to have in these times. Also committed to reading like Sonja says.

Ah, I was hoping there was just a book referencing the bible passages, without the bells and whistles of a missal/hymnal.

Fr. M. (homilies brilliant like I’ve not seen, my kiddos are like we’ve never heard the English language used quite so beautifully, ever!”)was in the process of organizing a order of tlm mass for the parish, from a publishing house he approved of and then people could get one for themselves, when he was removed 😡 My daughter ordered one for us, but I don’t think we can get it now, or know which one it was–double grr, grr.

                    3. Ah, Littlelight! In this case look for a small lectionary. For this, the books come as Weekdays Volumes I (for odd numbered years) and II ( for even numbered years). The Sunday readings are in one book and at each Sunday Years A, B, and C are there to use as appropriate.

One last idea: I have been praying the Liturgy of the Hours for more than 30 years and I love that Catholics all over the world are praying those prayers. The breviary is loaded with Scripture readings and psalms.

                  2. Little light, following is a link to the FSSP bookstore–you can purchase a calendar, which will tell you what feasts are being celebrated each day ($11.00) or you can go the expensive route and purchase a missal. We moved to an FSSP parish a year ago and absolutely love it, but if you’re not quite there, I would follow Beckita’s advice and just purchase the NO books. ☺️

                    2. I love the FSSP. Our parish priests were a “light in the darkness” for me in August of 2020. While diocesan parishes were enabling the fear with masking and social distancing, the FSSP parish enforced none of it and actually discouraged it if you asked them. Faith was most important. In the past two years, only two people from the parish have died from Covid and they were both elderly and had comorbidities.

I cannot wear a mask and the anxiety that came from both that and the avoidance/judgment of others was debilitating. I truly felt rescued by God when I entered the TLM parish and felt His peace and the faith of the parishioners–no masks, no judgment. How sad that my former parish would not acknowledge the harm of the fear propaganda (and still does not as the school kids are told to mask).

However, backdoor blessings (as a friend called them) have been given me: I love the TLM and I’m now homeschooling my kids and love it!

                    3. I understand, Jewels, we also found refuge in a tlm parish, same exact problems you described, with the addition of processing complicated grief. Now the priest was removed—so our refuge is tenuous. Not a surprise, but still a heavy challenge.

                    5. I should clarify, I can wear a mask and capitulated and bought many useless chiffon ones. On Christmas Eve, my husband, my youngest and I went to our home parish, where the mass being offered was for the repose of our son’s soul. This is a n.o. with a new pastor. I greeted him, wishing him a Merry Christmas! The first words he spoke to me (noticing a scarf I had on my head) “Please use the Hand Sanitizer!” I was kinda shocked, and of course complied—offering it up. But I realize no way can I go back. The pressure to comply to the mandates (vaxxx, etc) is toxic and real.

Also, I read them but am not a journal-er–except in my head. I’m journal-ing all the time there. My 3 brains say a clear no-go. From what I can tell, this may expedite the whole process.

                    1. Littlelight, one observation for your consideration. Always, we are free agents of choice. If you wish to get both NO and TLM readings and do the intellectual exercise of comparing them, that sounds so interesting and learning is always awesome. If you want to use the readings to engage with your interior, well, that’s a different focus – and, often, the more challenging one – when taking in the readings. Yet, the second objective is exactly what the series and book study are about… allowing God to speak to each person in relation to his/her needs for inner healing.

          2. You remind me of myself. Many times I would say, “Well, it can’t get any worse than this, but then it did.” Nevertheless, through it all I learned the Lord is Faithful and True. I could never have made it in my frailty and weakness without Him beside me to this day.

A book by the Seminary Professor, Brenda Chervin, that I read years ago was very helpful to me and to many others. She wrote the book after tragically loosing her son. The book goes chapter after chapter of saint after saint, covering not so much their saintly lives but reviewing their troubles, struggles, suffering. Perhaps these were the times that probably propelled them to sainthood. The book: The Kiss from the Cross.

        2. In the first place I never believed that your amazing projection of the reluctance to turn over the keys was a mistake. It is quite apparent now that you were spot on. Knowing humanity all too well, God sometimes allows imperfection in prophetic “interpretations” to protect His messenger from getting too puffed up with the Gift.

Available here recently was a video from a woman prophet who elaborated on her opinion of the Annulment process faults and how we should set aside the garbage now. She continued to elaborate on the problematic circumstances of the divorced and remarried, and Holy Communion. Her talk was speckled with insinuations of the need for priestly renewal and it seemed, to me, her direction is leaning toward permissive disobedience to the Magisterium on this subject. Yes, discernment and adherence to Church Magisterium is absolutely necessary.

“We each will be held to account for what we do and say by God and for whether we build up or tear down the faithful – and it is a rigorous accounting.” This is exactly my point. For one to assume protection of the faithful from infatuation or all the other suggestions by downgrading all prophecy at this time, I believe not only underestimates and interferes with the individual’s personal ability to discern but more importantly stifles the free movement of the Holy Spirit in these matters. I am not in the position to make such judgments, but if I were, I would be vigilant on the side not to grieve the Holy Spirit.

A few years back I ran up against a family who could not break free from the condemned New York Bayside activity. Speaking to that mother was not unlike speaking to the vaxxxed. She was locked in. Yet, God’s prophetic work is not encumbered because of those who get carried away and will not obey. There is, and I believe always will be, that type of prophecy given not for personal edification of the prophet but to benefit the many. I do not believe God has stopped speaking in this most darkest hour. It is troublesome when one incites the many to pray “That all will embrace the wisdom of letting prophecies rest.”

          1. It sounds like you have reasonably good discernment BUT the Church itself teaches that the fullness of revelation was completed with the revelation of Christ – that modern authentic prophecy can be edifying but is only limited to counsel for particular circumstances and is NOT necessary at all for salvation now. Do you find that troubling?

            Like

            1. Absolutely true, that ANY prophecy “is NOT necessary at all for salvation now.” and never has been. It is profusely evident in the reading of these Faithful commenters here that, not unlike myself, they have been primed for such a time. Life’s trials and tribulations have not been light and we have come to repeat and live the words of St. Peter “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.” Jn 6:60-69.

“If legitimate prophecy exists in these days, then it is a work of God.” These were my own words and thoughts. I am not a “prophesy chaser” nor do I “jump seamlessly from failed prophecy to failed prophecy, justifying the serial errors”; however, I will admit here that some things come to me unsolicited and as they say “God-incidentally”, and I pay attention and hope to learn what it is the Lord is saying, to me. And I do believe it beneficial to bring these things to the table for discussion here, as we do with so many other issues of our time. Then, trust that we, the Faithful, can chew it and digest it, or spit it out under prayer guidance of the Holy Spirit (this would be my group prayer intention!).

I honestly believe we are missing the boat on this. After all, to set aside His (Who is our Boss) prophetic word for all the reasons you state seems to highlight all that is inadequate or lacking in us and nothing to His benefit, or rather to our benefit, that He may be trying to get through to us to shed perhaps a glimmer of His Light which will shine all the more profusely in this time of intense darkness.

So you have been silenced, Charlie, and that silencing has, unfortunately, been projected across the spectrum of God’s prophets, at least in this holy place.

              1. Excuse me, the prophesy I speak about about relates to post “Revelation of Christ”, not Old Testament and, of course, to relevance for our times, as you say “only limited to counsel for particular circumstances”. In other words, we are in a tight spot right now and no doubt will become the “yeast” of our day. If the Lord Himself is speaking, listen we should. Why not do it her communally perhaps not only for edification and instruction but also to bring to the surface falsehoods that may not be so evident to the individual believer pondering these things outside this community. The more I write this the more I am convinced the Lord would relish our attention and sincere attempt to hear and follow Him to the last.

              2. Stgiusep, since my TNRS days I have been telling you that, for me, when the battle is engaged, the time for prophecy of the future has ended for a time. I follow what has been my understanding for decades of my work – which is not primarily to foretell the future, but to give people heart to get through the greatest crisis in history. When you are canoeing on a placid lake, you have a lot of choices on how to proceed. When you find yourself in the rapids, the key is to react in the moment as the current carries you down. In such a situation, trying to do anything other than react with agility in the moment can cause you to easily capsize. If you predict that the next bend in the rapids will go to the right and prepare for that – and then it goes to the left, you are MUCH more likely to capsize than if you had paid intense attention and reacted quickly to what actually IS than what you merely expected.

Now maybe this direction was just for me. Certainly, there are several people currently receiving what I think are authentic locutions or visitations. There is a woman in Texas I think highly of on this. I think Susan Skinner, author of the Veil of Veronica Blog has some authentic locutions. I pay attention to some of the messages from Medjugorje – particularly those voiced by Mirijana. Yet even all of these focus on what we are called to do and be in these times rather than new details on what is going to happen. This is largely the difference between a spectator and a participant. We are called to run this race now.

Even when I spoke in such terms, I made it clear I did so because I thought it the best way to prepare people so they would have heart when the Storm fully rolled in,

I understand you want to parse modern prophetic predictions. Fortunately, there are plenty of sites that do just that. I say that the time has come for the steadfast prayer of doing – and have made it very clear from the beginning that I believe that to be my mission. Thus, I believe that now that the battle has begun, to regularly parse prophecy here would both distract and detract from the mission I have taken up – and would be deeply contrary to what I believe God calls me to. Shoot, for several years now, even when close friends privately ask me for new details on what is coming I tell them everything that is needful in that respect has already been said – and now it is about how best to live the challenge God has placed before us.

So no, this site will NOT be parsing prophecy to any significant extent. Come here for the meat, but you will have to visit other sites for the sizzle.

                1. Okay. But I never said I was interested in prophetic “predictions”. I, personally, am interested to know whatever it is the Lord (or Our Lady) might be saying, to me. I am a servant of the Lord and when He speaks or attracts my attention to something, I listen and would never pray for the “wisdom” of letting prophecies rest. We’re probably closer in agreement than initially thought. I agree that any major discussion of whether prophecy is legitimate or not could be a major distraction from your mission. I apologize if all this took as much energy from you (still in recovery) as it did from me.

Thank you, Charlie, for your patient effort to respond to me so kindly.

          2. I posted the link in question, not realizing it was on that divisive/challenging subject when I posted it–as most are not.

This is most certainly waaaay above my pay grade, I work on a much lower, mundane level (Thank the Lord). I do feel compelled to offer this clarity as I was listening very carefully (not something easy for me, Ima working on it):

“Her talk was speckled with insinuations of the need for priestly renewal and it seemed, to me, her direction is leaning toward permissive disobedience to the Magisterium on this subject.”

            1. She made a point of stating the Laity needs reforming. The point was the need for priestly renewal did not happen in a vacuum—we, all of us, cannot paint the mess we are in on other groups. We must look inside ourselves.

2.She clearly stated that she would obey the Magisterium, and help in any way she could, as such.

            1. Littlelight, for the sake of brevity and importance, in the end what Anne said was that anytime she sees a difference between what she knows from balanced human psychological theory and what we practice in the Catholic Church, she finds that “deeply troubling”. She indicated that the Lord would want the divorced/remarried to be whole, receive Holy Communion. The method, of course, must be through the Annulment process or it cannot be valid but she did not indicate this. Jesus gave the keys to the Church and He will abide by that. So to present her opinion allowing divorced/remarried to receive Holy Communion without going through that process is fundamentally against the Magisterium, and against Scripture. Note that she did not mention Scripture.

Here’s what Jesus said and what was omitted from her presentation:

“To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband. 11 But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband. And a husband must not divorce his wife.” 1Corinthians 7:10-11

“But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her the victim of adultery, and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.” Matthew 5:32

“Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.” Luke 16:18

“Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?” 4 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” 7 “Why then,” they asked, “did Moses command that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?” 8 Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. 9 I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.” Matthew 19:3-9

And again in Mark’s gospel –
“Some Pharisees came and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?” 3 “What did Moses command you?” he replied. 4 They said, “Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce and send her away.” 5 “It was because your hearts were hard that Moses wrote you this law,” Jesus replied. 6 “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ 7 ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, 8 and the two will become one flesh.’So they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” 10 When they were in the house again, the disciples asked Jesus about this. 11 He answered, “Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her. 12 And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery.” Mark 10:2-

I heard something other than the conclusion you posted above.

She spoke about how she has personal friends in the hierarchy and on tribunals that are doing a beautiful job in the most challenging circumstances. She spoke about how the process is capricious, depending on the formation/ability of the tribunal in question—-some are spot-on, others, not so much. She also mentioned how she is the clearinghouse of pain for people who have, perhaps, may have not gotten the due diligence they deserve.

The conclusions I heard her making in light of what you mentioned was that the path to protecting the Sacrament of Marriage is primarily a thorough teaching of the timeless truths of our faith on a grassroots level—a re-education of the laity. As, ultimately, the laity influences clerical development by our level of living our faith well.

But, we cannot even begin to understand and want to live the challenging precepts of our faith, if our understanding of human development, normal healthy boundaries in relationships, etc are malformed.

We have lived in a toxic world for so long, very, very few have a solid understanding of what “normal” human development and behavior is. If we do not possess a solid understanding of this, we will not be able to understand or apply or to live the rich beauty of what our church teaches.

Of course, this re-education is a long process. Prior to this, for real healing, The Church, The Hierarchy, Our Princes of the Church, needs to have a real grappling to further refine The Annulment Process, and perhaps, find a better way to have consistency in the process, and to mercifully re-dress any egregious errors that have been made.

That is what I heard, which is different from what you posted. None of it sounds unreasonable or imprudent. It does make me tremble, tremble, tremble.

I’ve said this all badly. What comes to my mind is a response Charlie made (I wish I could find it) about how we cannot be afraid to tackle truly difficult questions. It was in the lively discussion about personhood and the moment of conception. Charlie said it so much better than I ever could.

        3. Many prophecies are “reaction dependant” or action effected.
Our Lady Of Fatima said “If” to some of her statements about the future. “If men do not stop offending God….”.
Interestingly, Jonah said Nineveh was going to be destroyed and did not give an “out” to his prophecy or a warning to change or avoid this. The people chose to fast on their own…and it worked! Pope Benedict XVI said prophecy is for now not the future, that it is revealed for us to “act” on now which is Charlie’s point here.
And that is the main reason God tells us these things. He reveals His omniscient power if they come true and His mercy when they don’t.
Most prophets aren’t necessarily supposed to interpret their message. Scripture says “some prophecy and some interpret prophecy” but both charism’s are not necessarily give to the same person.
The Church is the only authority we know who is given the authority to interpret. We, as individuals, are to “test everything and keep what is good” for ourselves. We may comment on our take, as one who descerns, but only the Church has true authority here.
The Church allows many a devotion to thrive for a time to see if it is from God by it fruits. Even the Jews knew this to be true and allowed the Apostles to preach.
If the time for prophecy has ended this means the prophetic time is now at hand and there is no reason to tell about the future for that future is here and now.

        4. Yes, let them rest and sometimes, these words ring true in a way one would not expect. I recently ran across this from Fr. Gobbi’s messages from the Marian Movement of Priests, a book which, to my dismay and consternation, has been relegated to the prophecy pile due to some missteps made by Fr. Gobbi. As others have said, words means things and Our Lady said this through Fr. Gobbi on May 13, 1976: “Each one must consecrate himself to my Immaculate Heart, and through you priests many of my children will make this consecration. This is like a vaccine which, like a good Mother, I give you to preserve you from the epidemic of aetheism, which is contaminating so many of my children and leading them to the death of the spirit. These are the time that I myself foretold; this is the hour of the purification. Heed the requests of your Mother, and entrust yourselves to me with all confidence and the most complete surrender.” The themes are the same as Charilie’s so I trust in the guidance of the Holy Spirit, especially when the words were written decades apart.

I lost a good friend and co-worker to the vaxxx. I knew she was not well and worried that she had gotten one of the bad batches. Her death was a huge blow and surprise to our parish. Charlie’s mantra gets me through…”acknowledge God…next right step…sign of hope.” But you can bet, from today onward, I am pushing consecration to the Immaculate Heart to the nth degree, regardless of my former pastors who forbid me and any who might call it old-fashioned today.

Peace to you all and CONSECRATE YOURSELVES TO THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY!

          1. Marisa,
Our Lady’s request at Fatima was not just for that time period. Some apparitions are for an geographical area or a time period but Fatima was a worldwide message that ends “with the triumph of the Immaculate heart”. This has not happened yet and it has now been 100 years!
She stated the “God wants to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate heart”. Fr Gobbi has continued this request as well as the messages from Medjugoria so the request has much merit from its beginnings at Fatima.

            1. Yes, agreed, Phillip. What I believe that the MMP attempted to do, as is evidenced by this message, was to begin with the *priests* and then, through them, to extend to the entire laity. What I was trying to do here was point out Our Lady’s specific words, “Vaccine” and “Epidemic.” Now that those words are DAILY in our minds, they call us back to what Her Immaculate Heart has desired since her Divine Son was conceived, to love and adore Jesus and to do so because His life on earth began under the beating of her most pure and Immaculate Heart. As Beckita said, the words rested until they were needed and it is souls like yours, Beckita’s and Charlie’s that meditate on them in the depths of human hearts to then recall and re-extend them to hungry souls as needed.
Alas, most priests I meet today have never even heard of the MMP. I am still part of a cenacle led by a holy priest who is also our Diocesan exorcist. He knows the warfare that is being waged against the Church firsthand. I am also old enough to remember how priests who were devoted to the Virgin Mary were marginalized and mocked and reassigned. I was told by a newly-assigned pastor that I was not to speak to the teens about apparitions of the Virgin Mary, whether they were approved apparitions or not. That kind of thing still goes on. I see the wry smiles when I speak of her or my devotion to her heart.
And yet, she still speaks. She has taken refuge in the desert of hearts who still love and revere her. May we always hold that place open for her and give our Mother the sweet refuge of a heart that loves her. Peace be with you.

    1. I suspect that when Truth Social opens up, which I have heard will be in February sometime, I believe it will suck the air out of *all* other social media sites, including GETTR, Gab and Parler, and kill off Twitter. Soon we will get our chance to see if that proves out or not.

      1. That’s not the one Trump is starting, is it Steve? I read some bad stuff about the platform Trump is starting being used by those pretending to be good guys along side him. It was on one of the true conservative news sites. Sorry, forgot which one, but I think there was something about raising money.

        Liked by 1 person

        1. Annie, TruthSocial is being started by Trump. GETTR was started by someone who had been working with Trump but went off on his own. Frankly, I have avoided GETTR – something seems off about it and Trump did not endorse. Someone I trust online said that he would not join GETTR because it had ties to the CCP. Huh.

TruthSocial seems genuinely Trump-based. I don’t know what site you are referring to that had a poor review of it, but I think TS is central to Trump’s strategy. Devin Nunes left Congress to take over as CEO, and I respect Nunes mightily. You always have to be careful of negative rumors spread by sources that are supposed to be true conservatives. Many “truly conservative” sites are not Trump-conservative sites and regularly run down anything he does. So you will have to tell me which site you saw that bad report on before I can have any way to judge its relevance or honesty.

Trump is known in his first term to have surrounded himself with people inimical to his goals. Why did he do that? Some think him simply unable to tell good people from bad, but my understanding is that he is actually an excellent people reader. Here’s an example. Why did he put Deborah Birx out front for the Covid effort? I saw him say something to her at a news conference that was designed to and did discombobulate Birx quite a bit. As she turned back to the reporters, Trump shared a look with Bill Barr and Barr laughed at a shared joke which was obviously at Birx’s expense. It showed me that Trump was perfectly aware that Birx was either incompetent or bad/evil, that Barr knew what Trump was doing, and that Barr was probably inside Trump’s inner circle of true supporters. Yet a lot of people think Barr (and Sessions) were wastes or losers.

Trump has one of the best private security teams in the world and had access through that team and the intelligence community to all sorts of intelligence information about the people he picked, so why Fauci, why Birx, why so many others who tried to interfere with him? Because *we* needed to see them operate against our interests. Expose the bad/evil people to awaken the sleeping good people.

I could be wrong on all of my suppositions here, but I think the demonstrations of evil intent through hiring bad people and putting them on display will soon be over, and we will begin to see who Trump believes to be true patriots. Putting Devin Nunes in charge of TruthSocial says volumes under these suppositions of mine. Keeping Dan Scavino as part of his inner team is part of this push now to get and keep true patriots in his activities.

I have great hopes for TruthSocial, but I recognize it could be yet another exposure of bad people. But at the moment, it seems to be the first real push by Trump and true patriots who want to help him clean up this country. I sense the tide is turning from exposure and awakening to truth and ultimately to justice. When I signed up to pre-order an account at TS, the next splash page did not say something like thank you for joining our community, which you might expect for a Twitter/Facebook competitor. No. Instead the tagline is “The TRUTH is here”. A social site, and they emphasize TRUTH? How … odd. 🙂

  29. Sorry for a brief change of topic: I know about blessed chalk for the feast of the Epiphany but finding a priest willing to do the blessing is not easy. Has anyone heard of a blessing that lay people can say to bless the chalk? I thought I had read somewhere that the father (head of the family) could say a blessing as part of the prayers…or am I way off base? 🙂

    Liked by 3 people

    1. From what I’ve read, the chalk first needs to be blessed by a priest before the head of a household blesses the home with the ritual involving the already blessed chalk. Only a priestly blessing of chalk will make it a sacramental. Joyful, if you live where I think you do – if I’m recalling correctly – I just did a search of your city with the words “blessed chalk for Epiphany” and found a link to a parish in your area which took me to a post made (last year) on FB saying folks could call the parish office to get some blessed chalk, so it might be worth a try. It’s St. Barnabas Church.

          1. Joyful, there’s not much more that Charlie has said about St. Barnabas other than he has been entrusted with powerful intercession against evil in our times. Being reminded of this yesterday, I am now adding a daily invocation to St. Barnabas – after I pray that prayer Charlie recently composed – to tend to those I notice need the power invested in St. Barnabas for these days.

  30. Please say a Hail Mary for my brother-in law, it looks like he is slowly dying. And that is not the most serious thing here, he is doing so most likely without holy sacraments – Holy Communion and the anointment of the sick. As an AA member he does believe in higher power but most likely that is only in himself. Detached from the Catholic church, even though his brother is a Catholic priest. Released conditionally from hospital to die watching TV and losing strength. His heart tissues are so messed up that doctors say not much can be done. Covid vaxxes might have had some role here, officially of course not. Please pray for Jim, for health but foremost for a blessing in the final hour…

    1. Pawel, I pray each day that St. Joseph will bring all my family a priest at the hour of death for the Apostolic Blessing and Absolution, even if it’s a priest from HEAVEN! “For nothing is impossible with God.” You might try that for Jim, as a last resort. A dying person has a choice and might very likely choose this blessing from a priest from Heaven.

      1. Dear Annie, I too love the Apostolic Blessing, pray for it for those I love and have been at many a deathbed – of family and friends – where it has been granted by a priest. However, the beautiful prayer is given by the Church to be prayed on earth, before death… not from Heaven. Because I also have great trust in God’s Providence to tend to my loved ones at death even if a priest is not able to grant the blessing for whatever reason. God always answers our prayers perfectly, for we know He is Love.

        1. No Beckita, I said a priest can come from Heaven, as Padre Pio bilocated, to give someone the Blessing. There are stories of people from the “other side” coming to a death bed of someone still here on earth. That’s why I quoted “Nothing is impossible with God.”

      2. Annie, I found Jim’s brother online, still an active priest, and called him to check if he knows about Jim’s condition. Father answered he knows Jim was not doing well but Jim told him he is recovering and getting better. I told him that according my sister, Jim’s wife, he might be dying soon and that he was conditionally released from hospital, that is on condition that he has a care provided at home. Not going into details I assume 4 options:
        1. Only Jim’s wife was given bad news at hospital.
        2. Jim is aware but perhaps doesn’t feel like having a priest, even his own brother around during this time
        3. An incompetent doctor diagnosed his heart condition
        4. Community here prayed and indeed his health is improving.

  31. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!

Thanks Charlie, glad to hear you are on the mend. You were so right when you said that this storm is going to affect us all. Your final sentence hit me at just the right time. “Let us all apply ourselves without nodding off while living the privilege of being in God’s classroom.” I really like that. I have been in a sort of automatic mode since August. Just rolling with the punches as they come lately.

This year, the tree and the Manger didn’t go up until Christmas Eve. It was actually kind of extra special when I did finally get it all together, plus I actually got an extra day off from work! Been working six days a week since August, with no end in sight.

PLUS: My youngest brother had a stroke this Fall. He is on the mend with a few communication challenges. Lots of therapy and of course, more family divisions.

Our bakery manager (one of our two bakers) had a heart attack and had two stints put in mid October, right before Halloween. He was out again the week before Thanksgiving and had two more stints put in. Back to work the next week. Still a little worried about him.

Mom got Cvd and gave it to another brother who stayed with her while he was in town for outpatient surgery. A week later she ended up in the hospital. She is now recovering and just tired, and of course, she just got her first booster at her follow up appointment. 😦

Said other brother gave the Cvd to his wife who was already very sick and is immune compromised because of many cancer treatments. Last week he ended up in the hospital with a heart attack and blood clots in his lungs and legs. He is now back to work. She is on the mend.

Husband’s muscle disease continues to get worse from jab in April. He can still walk but it is painful to watch.

Son’s UC has been active for a year with no remission in sight.

A co-worker (one our three packers) was diagnosed with Cvd last week. I haven’t seen him since before Christmas.

Our other baker’s wife was just diagnosed with Cvd. Still waiting to find out if he has it.

It just goes on, and on, and on…I can’t even compare this to a Job moment, but I sense that it is some kind of test which the Lord will reveal in His time. In the meantime I pray, praise and thank Him for all He has done for me, and continue to ask for the courage and strength to carry on.

My life’s theme song right now is:

“Praise You In This Storm,” by Casting Crowns

Please pray for me as I continue to pray for you. I sure miss following the comments and talking to all of you. Blessings to you in 2022!

  33. The Americans once seemed to have a fascination with the idealised worlds of upstate New York, a Wonderful Life, and the works of the late Norman Rockwell. These are all well and good but somehow still not quite fully right. Archbishop Fulton Sheen foresaw that coming to an end and Cardinal Timothy Dolan recently spoke of the result. A world in which even Al Capone or John Gotti would cringe at. Mayberry is not the answer nor could it ever be, falsity has no place in Heaven. Bethlehem is the answer and no other place could ever be.

    1. God is in the ordinary, R. Sèy. He loves it! When we speak of Mayberry around here, it doesn’t mean we’ll literally re-create the place, Mayberry; we simply yearn for the humility and love, the simplicity and unpretentious way of living, moving and having our being in Christ (the Babe at Bethlehem, the Child in Nazareth, the God-man, who preached and healed throughout Galilee and Judea) as did the characters in that old series, Mayberry. Nothing false in this kind of yearning. We’re co-creating with God a Civilization of Love to which some great Popes spoke. And God shall renew the face of the earth as well as all His peoples wherever they may live on the planet IF they choose HIM rather than opt to perish. Glory to God in the highest!

        2. You could just as easily say that you prefer your metaphor over ours, but don’t kid yourself. There was also sin in Bethlehem, just like in the fictional Mayberry. Chicken thieves, bootleggers, conmen, escaped criminals, gamblers, gossipers, jaywalkers, bird killers, bank robbers… oh, all manner of sinners in Mayberry. To say nothing of ole’ man Weaver. who eventually discovered that God is really very simple after all.

          1. Bethlehem was far more more sinful and violent than Mayberry could ever be, which was the point. If we deny the past Satan wins. Which is what Europe has done. Poland and Hungary have been labelled pariahs within our assembly. In the Americas there is still a chance to turn the tide.

            1. If that was the point, why not just lead with that? This is no time for enigmatic pronouncements and riddles. Souls are dying on the vine. Be clear, simple and deliberate. This is a time to make God more accessible than ever before.

              1. After reading many posts here one can say the same yet it must be presumed that those who have written them was doing their best to be concise and deliberate. There was neither an enigmatic pronouncement nor a riddle, it was just interpreted as such. We all speak, interpret, presume, and understand things quite differently from each other. Unless this is understood and accepted by the faithful there will be further divisions. If one were to be raised in New York they have a different way of speaking or understanding than one who may have been raised in St. Louis, Quebec, or Nairobi. There is great cultural and linguistic similarity among those who live between the Appalachians and the Rockies than those who live on the opposite sides of these two ranges. Yet one from Manitoba is very different than one from New Orleans. is it not better to presume that all who are present are here in good faith rather than malice. We may not always agree with each others understandings or statements, but if we attack each other rather than try to understand each other than we accomplish nothing.

  38. Such Insanity:
In CA all the kiddos had to have a PCR test prior to returning to school. (Even tho the CDC states that the test is unreliable). So the 4yr old tests positive (no symptoms at all) and the whole family has to stay home from school and work for a week, all of them test negative.

Well at least they don’t have to wear masks for a week 😉 sigh

  39. Asking for prayers for my sister, Leslie, who was told by her doc that she more than likely has CVD. She had a rapid test done yesterday: negative for CVD and Flu A and B. Went to her dr today who said that she more than likely had CVD. Dr said the rapid tests are not good for detecting the O variant. Most are coming out negative when people are actually positive.

I have passed on the protocols. She has been taking supplements. She already does breathing treatments for asthma and take antihistamines for allergies. She is not vaxxxed.

    Thank you for your prayers!

    God Bless,

  40. Hopefully the outcome of this systemic poisoning of people with these experimental vaxxes will be worldwide realization that we need to rely more on God’s graces and not solely on the pharmaceutical industry that is about money in the first place.

Our civilization got to this absurd foolishness where parents are willingly and blindly subjecting their children to a very dangerous medical experiment the outcome of which is a multitude of crippled kids and adults.

As for Trump, at this point I thing Democrats and the pharmaceutical industry hope he will be running in 2024, unless he admits his mistake or at least expresses doubts about vaxxes before running, he would be easily controlled and manipulated by the big pharma in case he wins.

    1. Prayer in Discouragement by St. John Neumann (from Maggie’s above post)

My Jesus, relieve me of my discouragement.
My devotion has vanished; spiritual thoughts no longer soothe my troubled soul.
Even the remembrances of Your passion and of Your Blessed Mother grow dim before my vision.

O Jesus, do not forsake me.
      Help me, help me!
I am resolved not to omit a single one of my devotions.

Hear me, O my God, strengthen and increase my faith.
Keep me from yielding to temptation. You said, “My yoke is sweet; my burden is light.”

Have mercy on me, for wheresoever I turn I see only obstacles and difficulties.
Were my faith strong I would accept my trials; but alas, I feel only impatience, doubt and discouragement.

My soul, hold fast to Jesus. How faint-hearted and childish I am!
All my comfort, all my joy must come from You.
Bring me closer to You when temptations assail me.
      Help me not to fail.

O Lord, my God, I cast myself entirely into Your Hands.
Worn out by the struggle, I will rest beneath Your cross; pray for me in my desolation of soul.
Jesus, be merciful to me. Amen.
