I have been working on a meaty piece. It’s not quite soup yet, though, so I figured I would review a few basic issues before getting it out. I have always figured that before walking into obvious decisive moments, it is good to review fundamentals. And we are heading straight into an obviously decisive moment.
But first, as promised, here is the link to Steve BC’s protocols for Covid and report on the mRNA shot. This information has also been put into a permanent link under the menu on this site (2 Protocols for Covid).
Also, there was a problem with the email address for registering to come to the Houston Right to Life (TRTL) dinner on Sept. 18. If you want to come to this great event with complimentary tickets, please email Laura at Bilot.lambfam@gmail.com. You must be a CORAC member to participate (you can sign up for free here) and you are responsible for your own transportation and lodging – though TRTL will send you info on discounted rooms from their bloc. You will also have a pass to the VIP Brunch the day after and a CORAC meeting in the afternoon.
I am getting a lot of people sending me (sometimes nonsensical) material on Covid and other things assuring me the material has lots of data. When I say replicable data, that does not just mean it has lots of numbers and charts. It means I must be able to verify the numbers through independent sources. I don’t know why so many people are so eager to jump into exotic theories and become vested in them without knowing how to vet them. You get no gold star for solving the puzzle box. Reasonable people can judge whether the risk of an experimental therapy is justified given the mortality rate of Covid. Our commentator, Chris Deacutis, gave an excellent case for why rational people can choose the shot based on sound data in the comments section of the previous piece. My judgment is that the risks remain too great based on sound data. Thanks be to God, though, we are working from some reasonable – and replicable – data on the subject so you can make the best prudential judgment for your particular circumstances.
And now, to the meat of this piece…
Infallibility
When I was first considering coming into the Catholic Church, the doctrine of infallibility was a stumbling block for me. After studying rafts of formal Church documents, I realized that was because I did not understand what infallibility actually is. Very few Protestants know what the doctrine actually is. Unfortunately, very few Catholics do, either.
The first thing to know is how limited and rare the authority is. It only applies to general Church Councils or to when a Pope explicitly speaks from his Petrine authority on a matter of faith and morals binding the whole Church. The last time the latter happened was on November 1, 1950 concerning the Assumption of Mary. I was startled to find the power was so rare and limited that most Protestant assemblies I attended assigned their own pastor greater infallibility than formal Church teaching assigns the Pope. It does NOT mean the Pope doesn’t sin, that his every word is true, that even formal documents from him are infallible, or even that he is a good man.
Even with these limitations, it is fundamentally a negative power. It does not mean that the Pope will get everything right in the matter of faith and morals; only that in the rare circumstances upon which it applies, he will not get it wrong. When I was teaching RCIA, I invited catechumens to imagine, for a moment, that the Pope was infallible on mathematics. If that is so, given the formal definition of infallibility, how many mathematical questions on a test of 100 is he guaranteed to get right? Everyone always said a hundred – and were surprised when I said zero. It does not guarantee that he will get anything right, only that he will get nothing he chooses to formally answer wrong. He might not be able answer any at all.
When the Pope does speak in such a manner, his answer does not become right because he said so. Rather, he is given the gift of finding the objectively right response in the carefully prescribed circumstances. Rarely should he speak at all on such things until controversy makes it necessary. Carrying the analogy further, let us imagine we are primitive on the matter of mathematics. For centuries, we have all agreed that two plus two equals four. Now a dissident sect arises that maintains two plus two equals 22. As tumult rises, the Pope is called to speak. If, after careful consultation and contemplation, he invokes the power of infallibility and declares that two plus two equals four, it does not become so because he said so. It was always so – and God prevents him from using that authority to formally teach error.
It is a sorrow to me to see so many people assigning authority to clerics that they do not and have not ever had – while simultaneously denying the authority they actually do have. This confusion has been compounded by so many clerics neglecting their actual responsibility while simultaneously pretending to authority they don’t have. It has created chaos and undermines all authority. Yet God does have a plan to restore proper order out of the wild chaos that threatens to consume us. Come, Lord Jesus.
The Magnificat
Other than the Lord’s Prayer, my favorite Biblical Prayer, even from my Protestant days, is the Magnificat: “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior; Because He has regarded the lowliness of His handmaid; for behold, henceforth all generations shall call me blessed; Because He who is mighty has done great things for me, and Holy is His Name; And His mercy is from generation to generation on those who fear Him. He has shown might with His arm, He has scattered the proud in the conceit of their heart. He has put down the mighty from their thrones, and has exalted the lowly. He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent away empty. He has given help to Israel, His servant, mindful of His mercy – Even as He spoke to our father – to Abraham and to his posterity forever.” – Luke 1:46-55
It was while contemplating the heart of the sanctity of St. Joan of Arc that I more fully realized the magnitude of this prayer. Saints come in a great variety. Some are pure, others are passionate; some are temporally docile, others are warriors; some are simple, others are geniuses; some are peasants, others are kings. Yet they all share this common trait: their souls magnify the Lord.
As I said, I realized this while contemplating St. Joan of Arc. She certainly had the gift of prophecy, but in the heat of battle, she made more than a few errant prophecies. She was burned at the stake, but she was technically not a martyr. It was in the midst of this contemplation while I was reading the Magnificat that a light bulb went off in my head. The citizens of France were completely demoralized, resigned to their country becoming a mere province of England after nearly five generations of existential war. When Joan came on the scene, it re-invigorated the despairing multitudes who had lost hope and filled them with new heart and new resolve – sufficient to save their nation and crown their king. Why? Her soul magnified the Lord – and ordinary people could feel His warmth through her.
Ah, but that magnification is a double-edged sword. It profoundly heartens those of good will who have lost hope, but enrages those witting and unwitting servants of the satan who have placed all their hope in the things of this world. The price Joan paid for being a willing vessel through which the Lord’s light could shine more intensely was to infuriate those whose only concern was power and temporal influence and make them committed enemies – of her, of the people she heartened and, ultimately, of the Lord, Himself. It was these who killed her. These enemies were both outside of and inside of the Church. Joan’s passion revealed many hearts.
God always has the final word, though. Even as some Church authorities excommunicated Joan for sordid, temporal reasons from the Church Militant, she was ultimately rehabilitated – and her tormentors excommunicated themselves from the Church Triumphant for profaning what is sacred for temporal gain. The final irony? The ecclesiastic Nicholas Midi gave a length homily preceding Joan’s execution in which he declared her to be a “leprosy” upon the Church. The only way to be rid of such a leprosy, he declared, was to burn it out. Shortly after Joan’s execution, Midi contracted leprosy and died a lingering, horrible death. God always has the final word. Woe to those who have made a solemn oath to proclaim the Lord but use their position, borne of that oath, to accommodate the world and gain influence.
Revelation 12
My original spiritual director, the late Msgr. Bill Stetson, was a towering intellectual of equally towering integrity who was profoundly uncomfortable with mystical things. It was one of the main reasons I chose him to be the first to share mystical experiences with. It was not that he did not believe in the approved apparitions in the Church. He was deeply devoted to Our Lady of Fatima, Our Lady of Lourdes, and Our Lady of Tepeyac (commonly Guadalupe). He just preferred that someone else deal with mystical matters.
It often made for uncomfortable encounters, for all the affection and delight we took in our relationship. In the fall of 1995, he greeted me at one of my visits by presenting me with a battered, old, blue prayer card and told me I should have this, that it would become very important to me. It looked more like a bookmark than a prayer card – and it had on it the “Woman cloaked with the sun…” passage from Revelation 12. I was puzzled and asked him what he had in mind in giving it to me. He just kept saying he was moved to give it to me and felt very strongly about it. Finally, my eyes went wide with astonishment and amusement and I asked, “Are you playing the prophet with me, now, Fr. Bill?” His face went crimson red. It was one of only two times I ever made him blush (on that score, he got me a lot more often). He dipped his head and repeated that he was just convinced that I needed it.
Of course, I believe that the Revelation 12 sign that appeared in the sky on Sept. 23, 2017, was both our entry into the fullness of the Storm and the beginning of the process of Rescue from it.
Over the last few years, I have come to have great regard for Fr. Richard Heilman’s contemplations on how certain temporal signs point to greater spiritual realities. Fr. Heilman is not a mystic. We have talked about it. But I think he has extraordinarily keen discernment on these matters – and his contemplations on such things have been a huge help to my own contemplations, both sharpening them and opening them up to new insights. Whenever he writes on such things, I pay close attention – and sometimes talk privately with him in greater detail.
Contemplation on Revelation 12, then, is important for all of us, for we are surely living much of it right now. A great place to start is with Fr. Heilman’s contemplation of it published at U.S. Grace Force a few days ago.
Mysticism
I think we have entered a time when, “your sons and daughters shall prophesy…and your old men shall dream dreams.” (Acts 2:17)
It has given me new insight into why God is so sparing in making such direct contact with people. I have met and known many people this last year who, I believe, have had authentic mystical experiences. Certainly, God sometimes uses this to console a person. On some occasions He will send someone from heaven to carry a specific message – verbatim and without interpretation. I have no experience with such a thing. When He sends someone on a specific mission, such as Abraham, Moses, Jonah, Isaiah, and others; it is usually a lifelong series of interactions, designed to expand their hearts and minds so that they can hear Him better to accomplish their mission. It involves a lot of missteps, false starts, misunderstandings, and forging real courage combined with humility and docility before the Lord. It allows no small measure of discretion to the one called, but heavy responsibility at each step. If you doubt it, look at the price Moses paid for striking the rock to bring water when he had not been given leave to do so. It is agonizingly heavy, for even the one called to such a mission remains such a frail vessel that he knows he will err – but is not allowed to just be silent for fear of error. He must do his best, using all his mind, heart and soul, and then take full responsibility for what he does, blaming none of it on God.
I have met a raft of people this year who have had supernatural experiences that seem plausibly authentic to me. Some are well humbled and awed. All too many, though, having been taught the spiritual equivalent that five plus five equals 10, suddenly fancy themselves spiritual quantum physicians and imagine they are now master of the secrets of the universe. If they have had an authentic mystical experience, their vanity is twisting it to their own destruction.
I won’t get into much detail on my approach to such things, except to offer a few prudent rules for discernment. First, if a heavenly being tells you you are exempt from some lawful decision of Church authorities, it is not a heavenly being, but a demon – no matter how consoling the message might otherwise be. If you tell me that you can always tell whether it is from God or not, I tell you your vanity has unhinged you. Do you believe yourself to be a greater saint than Padre Pio, St. Teresa of Avila, or St. John of the Cross, among others, who have confessed that the devil deceived them for a time? Do you not believe St. Paul when he says that the satan “…disguises himself as an angel of light.”? (2 Corinthians 11:14). Do you think that an angel would tell you to disobey the lawful authority of the Church which Christ founded? If you deny these fundamental truths because of what a spirit told you, your vanity is collaborating with the devil to your destruction. God does not speak to anyone so as to make that person a divine Teacher’s pet.
If the heavenly personage is only telling you what you already believe to be true, you are deceiving yourself so as to blame God for your errant vanity. When God is comfortable enough with you to start smacking you around a bit and disabusing you of your errors, it may be an actual heavenly being speaking to you. If you seek to control people by telling them that God told you to tell them what they must do, you have allowed the father of lies to seduce you into lying to yourself and to others. God does not revoke anyone’s free will. If you think that you are His instrument to do just that, you are almost hopelessly deceived. Take responsibility for what you say, whether you believe it to be divinely inspired or not. Give counsel where appropriate, understanding that you can be deceived or just plain wrong. Take responsibility for it, yourself, lest you blame God for your own errors. If it is prudent, it will be seen to be so – and all of real faith know that all good things come from God.
Know that, except for matters of pure consolation, any encounter with heavenly beings does not confer special status, but heavy responsibility. The authentic prophets of old were pushed to the limits of their endurance by their call – and often sought to escape it. Jonah’s attempt to evade his responsibility was why he was swallowed by the whale. Jeremiah’s anguished lament beginning at Jeremiah 20:7 is a profound commentary on the heavy burden the one who is authentically called bears. In all things, virtue is to be found by living your duty before God with docility and humility. If you think you have been visited from above and become puffed up with pride, remember what Jesus said to Thomas: “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe?” (John 20:29) Except for consolation, authentic apparitions, and guidance on a special mission, a visitation is less likely to be a reward for your belief than a palliative for your disbelief. So be not proud of any visions or visitations you might have, but of your simple fidelity to Scripture and the Magisterium and your obedience to the lawful authority of the Church Christ founded.
Acknowledge God, take the next right step – knowing humbly that sometimes it will be the wrong one despite your best efforts, and be a sign of hope to those around you – both heartening the faithful and defending the faithful as needed. These are the things that will lead us to the beatific vision.

Thank you, Charlie, for drawing our attention, again, to these things.
In the continuing flow of Pope Francis’ actions there remains many a shudder, such as the call for everyone to vaccinate while framing this as “an act of love” and going so far as to team up with the Ad Council. (Mercy, Lord.)
I love how your Msgr. Bill highlighted Revelation 12 to you… so has Our Lady of Medjugorje. I very much identify with the Israelites as they embarked on their journey from Egypt and wandered in the desert. Praying that we all remain ready to co-create with God as we rely completely on Him and His Providence for everything, and that we continually thank Him for all the ways He tends to us and our needs.
It’s an awe-filled thing to realize we are going to lose a lot and we are going to gain so much more than we lose. We will weep and we will laugh with joy. Fear may well visit us and we can choose to let it pass by while remembering:
“The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:4-7)
I also appreciate the gentle nudge to keep contemplating. Connecting with God bring the anxiety down in mega fashion. I think this ordinary dad and his children express the essence of why we need not cling to fear or feelings of being overwhelmed.

It is an interesting coincidence that I discussed papal infallibility with my protestant cousin just last week.
He was of the gang who thought we though the Pope was himself infallible as you suggest some do.
Reminded me of the Immaculate Conception error were some believing it is about Jesus being immaculately conceived and not Mary.
The enemy rejoices in such errors as they put so much enmity between us and our God- and each other!
May the Spirit enlighten us with Knowledge, Wisdom and Understanding and fortify us with a correct conscience to then judge righteous judgment.

Thank you for linking Fr Heilman’s homily. The Magnificat is deeply moving to me, and I’m happy to have a better understanding of it.
A friend and I were saying today that people out there are vitriolic. The more sense you make, the angrier they get. There is just no point in arguing anymore. And it is eye opening how many people would be willing to hold you down while they gave you a shot.
Off to go read that homily again..

There is a woman who is receiving lots of praise from others for sharing her visits from the Blessed Mother. She said Mary took her to Purgatory and she saw many souls there in despair. Red flag! I gave her the definition of despair and explained that that was not possible in purgatory. She was annoyed and claimed it was true and anyway it was her vision! Apparently she has been interviewed on the radio and been well received. If one is not willing to be cautioned to at least consider the possibility of being mistaken , then something else is probably going on. I admit, I am not the best at receiving correction, but I hope I will at least look into it prayerfully….I hope, hope, hope!

Charlie, why do you not think Joan of Arc was not a marytr?

It is not a matter of what I think. The Church has specific criteria to be declared a martyr, and she is not covered under those criteria. Certainly, she was a martyr in the common parlance, but not in the technical sense.

I have always thought of her as a martyr. It is amazing that the Church has been so strict in its definitions of one thing or another and now it has become very wishy washy re many matters.

The 2021 paper I linked to in a previous post questions the safety of lipids because of the allergic reactions they cause and that in too small a dose they are ineffective and at too large a dose they are toxic. (The lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) in these vaccines are composed of ionizable cationic lipids, phospholipids, cholesterol and polyethyleine glycol (PEG). The lipid used in these vaccines, named 1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DSPC), has 18 repeat carbon units. their ability to induce an inflammatory response may be the cause of the many symptoms people are experiencing, such as pain, swelling, fever and sleepiness. A study published in bioRxiv verified experimentally that these ionizable cationic lipids in lipid nanoparticles induce a strong inflammatory response in mice. (Ndeupen et al., 2021).
The link Chris put up from 2017 (4 years earlier) also mentions these side effects and so this issue is still a problem even now after “20 years of research”.
“I don’t think our paper or this paper adequately addresses the issue of long-term toxicity due to the immune system,” Verma says.
“To please regulators that would ultimately greenlight clinical trials, Moderna will have to show its drug is still safe at a dose 10 times higher than what’s needed to treat the disease—something the new paper doesn’t demonstrate”, says geneticist Michael Heartlein, chief technical officer at the competing mRNA company Translate Bio in Cambridge. “That’s what I’d like to see, to really nail it and say, ‘Hey, they’ve really got something that’s viable for the clinic.’”

Charlie, after confession and Mass this morning, I was talking with a friend and had an epiphany. This video, linked below, Mass psychosis: How an entire population becomes mentally ill, explains why half our population has lost its mind. But at the end, they give us hope. We can defeat the totalitarians by creating a parallel structure or parallel society. Then it hit me, CORAC is that parallel structure. CORAC will help us to survive but also to spread the truth to others to break their psychosis.

I’ve always (well, at least as long as I can remember) thought I understood infallibility. Now I’m a little confused. I thought Pope Paul VI teaching on birth control was infallible???? That was 1968. I’ve often wondered how one knows when the Pope is ‘speaking from his Petrine Authority’ AND where can one go to read ALL the Churches dogmatic proclamations?
LikeLiked by 3 people
Hey Mark, besides the obvious and clear examples of an ex cathedra pronouncement or a general council confirmed by the Pope, if a Pope formally defines a matter that has consistently been taught by the Church, it is generally regarded as infallible. If he contradicts such a teaching, unless a general council confirms his contradiction, it is not considered infallible – unless delivered ex cathedra. Pope Paul VI’s teaching in Humanae Vitae confirmed the consistent teaching of the Church through the ages, so it is left alone by even most dissidents as infallible. The same is true of Pope John Paul II’s teaching on the reservation of clerical roles to men.
Obviously, that latter category leaves room for some debate among various theologians and Bishops. I am not aware of any formal, canonical list of dogmatic teachings. While there are arguments possible on what should be included in this third category of infallible teaching that I did not touch on in the article above, the belief that every word that drops from a Pope’s mouth is infallibly true (popular in some circles) has no support in formal Church teaching and is absurd on its face.

So the pope’s quote on the vaccine is just a suggestion, not infallible?, “Getting vaccinated is a simple yet profound way to care for one another, especially the most vulnerable,” he said. “I pray to God that each of us can make his or her own small gesture of love.”

Right, Maggie. This quoted statement and the Pope’s participation in the Ad Council’s new initiative to push the vaccine are simply the Pope’s opinion.

In your comment above, Charlie, I’m glad you mention John Paul II’s infallible teaching on the clerical role reserved for men! I have heard the phrase “prudential judgment”, meaning prudence, as opposed to infallible teaching. Wow, I’ve never heard so many prudential judgments that are questionable as in these days. Prudence?!

To which they replied that they were not accepting them.
( I work as a CNA in a LTC in NJ. Finishing up nursing school.
Murphy said that non compliant facilities were getting Medicare and Medicaid cut)
Expecting to be fired soon. And I have a lawyer waiting.

God bless you, Briana! I just read an article about Austin, Texas, that the hospitals are so understaffed due to their firing staff over the mandatory shot. I believe that shortage is going to soon be nationwide as more hospitals and groups mandate the shot. (Though as CrewDog noted, Pfizer is NOT mandating it, which leads me to both suspect they know the truth of the damage it may do as well as the loss of revenue if they lose staff!)
My husband is a firefighter in Denver and although he submitted his religious exemption letter, I am also beginning to think that the Prince of Chaos may well prompt the firing of the almost one-third fire AND police who won’t get the shot. And if that many teachers and medical staff also decline and are fired? Chaos, anyone?
God, truly, help us.

Beckita, while I cannot give you a link, my husband said he read that Dr. Reiner Fuellmich (who is gathering lawyers and doctors to mount a worldwide case for crimes against humanity), said that they are planning on buying hospitals for the unvaxxed to provide medical care across the globe. Not sure if this will happen, but it’s a nice thought!

Praying for you, Briana–thank you for your courage and your good example. Boy are the hearts and minds of people being revealed! A friend was told by her son in law that she could not see her grandchildren since she is not vaxxxed. Another friend is being mercilessly harassed by her daughter because she is not vaxxxed, and fussed at because she attended an outdoor event where there were a lot of people in attendance. My friend’s daughter who is pregnant was told that she has nothing to fear if she takes the jab. When she asked the medical person who was talking to her if they could guarantee in writing that she and her baby would not be harmed by the jab, she was told no—she works were the vaxxx is required for employment. She is waiting to be fired, because she will not get it–even after she has given birth.

It’s a sadness that’s happening everywhere, Doug, along with exclusion from family reunions and weddings. I did read the first hometown obituary this week with a dictum that you MUST wear a mask to attend the funeral… not gunna fly in Montana as people are independent and know the official guidance from the governor is a “no mask mandate.”

So despicable, Doug! Just heard about a girl whose maternity insurance will be canceled if she doesn’t get the jab. We unvaxxxed are becoming outcasts. I’m ok with that.

Follow the money. It is usually about the strangle hold the .gov has over the federal funding. That is something that is their burden and not the employees. I dealt with this in Healthcare and Academia.
Shame on the corporate and executive type wimps that keep bending over backward to the “powers that be.” I sense they are working the *system* hand-in-hand though.

Jeremiah 20:7 is good but I think Jer 23:9-40 is even more sobering to those who believe the Lord has spoken to them, whether through dreams or intellectual visions or consolations. It is also sobering to know that the eternal measure of justice will weigh heavier on those who receive mystical experiences because salvation history shows us that they are meant for the good of others, not for onesself. Yes, we can be duped. I like St. Theresa of Avila’s advice to guard the private revelation as a sacred treasure and keep it as a remembrance of God’s mercy and love when the going gets tough. And get ready because it’s about to get so tough!
I love the science of the saints. St. Joan is a favorite but I still rely so much on Pope St. John Paul the Great. When we see what is going on in our country, we would do well to remember his homeland and the horrors it suffered, even to be annihilated from the maps. I walked through those ugly, narrow streets of Auschwitz 5 years ago and could sense the evil and suffering that once occurred in those empty buildings. Were they empty? I got the sense that evil lurks there still. Until, of course, we walked back to the corner where St. Maximilian Kolbe died. The triumph of love and sacrifice over hate and authoritarianism. It was a spotlight of peace in that grasping darkness.
People are slow to come back to Mass here and to Sunday school. Pray for souls to return to their Saviour. Also, I ask for your intercession for my 85-year-old father. He took the vaxxx since he has Congestive Heart Failure. Now, he is having a bloody cough. I pray God will touch his heart. For all the gifts the Lord has given me, how I wish I could transfer the sweetness to the ones I love so that they can fall more in love with Him, too. If the Lord allows, I’ll reserve the suffering for myself since I have found nothing sweeter than walking in the footsteps of our Suffering Saviour. I pray this sweetness and love for all here and hope for your good. May we rejoice in every circumstance knowing we are loved by such a Great God! Our beautiful, yet terrible to God’s enemies, Mother, is leading us closer to her Son and I pray the whole world receives her as the greatest gift from a loving Saviour to our suffering world.

This is a small thing, but it really heartened me today so I wanted to mention it: “Saints come in a great variety. Some are pure, others are passionate; some are temporally docile, others are warriors; some are simple, others are geniuses; some are peasants, others are kings. Yet they all share this common trait: their souls magnify the Lord.” I have been feeling sooooooo far from sainthood lately, even though I try, and it really made my heart sing to see “others are passionate” and “others are warriors,” since I am feeling far from pure these days. Oiy vey. So thank you, Charlie, for those inspired words. They give me hope! Have a good weekend and know that you made a weary soul a little less weary today.

I’ve been watching the following YouTube channel for a while, and am soon to open an Etsy store with my 21 yr old daughter. I’m posting this so anyone who needs an idea to make money for their family can see if print on demand tshirts might be something of interest. The couple are new agey, but I ignore those parts as they have nothing to do with the step by step details and encouragement and ideas they share for free. ( They do have some paid stuff but so much is free on YouTube.)
I will also post a link of another YouTube person with a great tutorial on how to set up an Etsy account and link the print on demand company to your account.
Praying for all who may lose their jobs. It hasn’t come to that yet here in Ireland, but I’m sure it won’t be long. (Fortunately we are ‘retired’ more or less. What a blessing.)

Linda, I don’t see that it’s ever gone way and rags such as the Jesuit Magazine and National Catholic Reporter (neither of them truly Catholic) will always be the first in line to brag about it. Let the rotted institutions crumble in God’s Timing, so we can rise again, rebuilding and re-birthing a New Beginning… even while tending the interior garden of our hearts where the New Springtime can already exist and from where we can choose to continue co-creating with God.

First of all I want to thank everyone here for sending prayers!!! That gave me great support/hope, AND I’m confident it allowed time for her last daughter to arrive (my wife) about 6 hours prior to her passing.
She died around 1 am Wed morning.(covid pneumonia)
It’s been a rough week.
To make it worse, even though I’ve heard about the”rally” that most people do at the end, my/our desire for her to beat this thing was so strong that I blinded myself to it and thought she had finally started getting better… and then died…
Worse yet I projected my thoughts out to the rest of the family in the daily updates I was sending out to over 20 people, therefore giving several other people false hopes too. At least a few of the family actually did recognize the rally anyway.
Thanks again, blessings-kevin-
I wish there was a way I could educate other people about this.
The false hope created by mistaking the rally for a turnaround, just lifted us to a higher distance to fall from…

I am aware of the different take that Charlie has regarding “the refuges” of Fr. Miguek Rodrigue, but I keep an open mind on the different takes.
Anyhoo, I relustened to a vid at Marl Mallet’s site and then briwsed through the “Why [insert seer here].

Sorry, Timothy, Fr. Michel Rodrigue and his messages have been banned here due to the repudiation of his alleged messages by his own Bishop and by the Bishop in whose Diocese Father had been residing. Further, his Bishop announced that although Fr. Michel claimed to be an exorcist in his own Diocese – which a priest cannot be unless appointed by his Bishop – in fact, the Bishop had never appointed Father to function as an exorcist. Lack of obedience to the local Bishop – who has the right and responsibility to investigate and make official pronouncements about alleged message receivers – is a major sign, says the Church, that the alleged message bearer is not authentic. It’s one thing to be of good will and “think” you’re hearing from Heaven when you’re actually not; it’s a very grave matter to choose not to submit to the legitimate Church authority over you. Prayers for Fr. Michel.

Fr. Rodrique is a priest, mystic, exorcist, Founder and Superior of the Apostolic Fraternity of Saint Benedict Joseph Labre. He has not been condemned by his Diocese and he and his Fraternity are in good standing with the Church and are in the state of complete obedience to Ecclesiastical Authority. I read that bishop’s letter where he denied knowing anything of Fr. Michel’s excorism activities. Did he have a need to know (?) if Fr. Michel had the approval of the bishop in the diocese in which he was actually doing the exorcisms? I don’t know – I am simply asking the question. In fact a couple of the charisms of his fraternity are exorcism and healing in his work with priests. How did this happen that he would found a fraternity with such charisms without someone in the hierarchy knowing of it? In fact this has not been denied or repudiated by the bishop of his current diocese. What this current bishop did mention, however, is that he does not believe in the Warning, Three Days Darkness, etc. (though these have been revealed by other seers who are in good standing with the Church and even on the way to sainthood, or perhaps saints already). It is not required that anyone believe in any revelations. But that does not mean that the “visionary” is not receiving messages from Heaven. Furthermore, this is not the first time bishops have come up against visionaries; recall successive bishops of Medjugorje who demanded that the propaganda stop because of disobedience of pastoral personnel and of the “visionaries”. Well, the jury is not out yet on Medjugorje, and neither is it with Fr. Michel. This is your website and your rules win but the point of your response and decision making could have been extended more charitably without the vitriol and rash judgment. I am writing in defense of someone I respect who happens to be an active priest who I believe has an important Mission that the likes of which the enemy has persuaded many, even a few elite, against him.

Received an email this morning stating my request was canceled and to try again. I was never charged. I decided to try one more time. This time, no consult, just the meds (figure hubby can double check the dosages if need be). Has anyone successfully received their meds? And if so, would you mind posting the costs? The kit I requested included IVM and antibiotics.

Becky, I got Ivermectin through them. Maybe they are overwhelmed with requests? If you get a prescription, go to goodrx.com for a discount. Their pharmacy is pricey.—- Sent from Doug’s Back Pack

Thanks for the information, Doug.
I actually just received an email from AFD saying they have completed my prescription. I requested the IVM and Antibiotics kit. For some reason they wrote Rx for HCQ and Zinc. Have no idea if I should even get them. I already take Quercetin and Zinc. I’ve sent an email asking why the switch in request. Wondering if I should go a different route since the process with AFD hasn’t worked out after 2 tries. Praying…..

Hi Becky, If they gave you a prescription for HQ, then I would fill it and keep it on hand as a backup or in case someone else needs it. You never know; next right step and all…..—- Sent from Doug’s Back Pack

Just an update for those working through AFD: I got a text from AFD about pending Rx for the HCQ and Zinc yesterday. It stated that if I didn’t get a call within 24 hours, I was to call the pharmacy. The pharmacy name and number were listed. I took Doug’s advise and had them filled even though it was not what I requested via the site. Total cost was about $45.00. I paid to have it sent via UPS. The pharmacy that filled it was here in TN. Thanking God for a pharmacist/pharmacy willing to help those seeking different approaches to treating CVD here in TN.
Watched a video of Dr. McCoullough (sp?) out of Texas yesterday. He said that they were seeing more promising effect with HQC against the Delta.
Praying for everyone here. I will never be able to thank you all enough for your prayers, love and support – they are keeping me going!! I love all of you!

Kim, that’s so awesome that your doc will do that! Just be sure to ask him where to fill the prescription–I have a wonderful doc too, but one by one the pharmacies are starting to refuse to fill orders for ivermectin. So frustrating.

Thanks, Jewel– yes– we talked about that, too. He has already prescribed it to other patients who have gotten it here. I need to research that. Of course, who knows what will be available in the future.

Becky, there are now many doctors who will work via Telehealth consultations. I have a list of several and also links to several directories of doctors. If you don’t get what you need in a timely fashion from AFD, you can go here and select someone else:
I hope that helps.

Odd day at da Walnart today that reinfirces what I have been seeing for some weeks and is niw crystaluzing.
Last week, after Mass, I took a new route home as an “i like to explore” treat to myself.
I am , for the furst time in my life, seeing young women in their twenties and eagrly thirties, begging at the roadside. I have seen women before, but always older and hanging out with make drunks.
This is not normal. “This is what economic collapse looks like”, I thought to myself.
Today at my monthly foray to the Walmart new things happened.
First, there were very, very few carts at the entrance, which has always been full with hundreds if them. On the way out, there were zero carts.
Second, the shelves were “not full” and the aisles were clogged with pallets of unstocked product.
People are not showing up for work accirding to a young stock clerk I chatted with.
Third, at checkout, I had a nice conversation with the elderly lady managing the self checkout and I asjed her about what I saw. She too had never seen it. She said, “we are in trouble” and the “we” was not Walmart, but America. I told her ( she was very sweet and conversational to the children and mothers in checkout), that people like her would get us through this. She returned the compliment!
Fourth, heading into the Walmart as I first got out of my truck, I saw a pretty woman (I have an eye for such things) looking at me abd saying something from the vmback seat of a parked car. Looking closer, U then saw a very young girl next to her waving at me. “She waves at everybody” said the pretty woman. “That’s wonderful!” , I replied. “Thank you!” , she answered, and I thought, “That is the America I want back, where the innocent wave of a child is something to be celebrated”
Fifth. Humongous bees nest in my back yard on a face high low branch on a Chestnut tree that I was unaware of, face high to a man on a John Deere, mowing yard who drove inches from it without realuzing it, ran out of gas before the next pass that would have had said man face plant it…noticed it in way to gas can, muttered, “Thank you Lord or letting me run out of gas!”
Bees bests are just “alien” to my sebmnsibilities.
Showed my neighbors the bees nest (its huge) and chatted about the Walmart
Consensus is that people have decided that “its just not worth it”
Differences exist on the “why” its not worth it, but ….anyhoo…something is up
God bless

Enjoyed your observations Timothy.
Wondering about the bee’s nest theory though.
According to his article, they may be hornets.
Here is what it says about honeybees: “Honeybees will seek out hollows in trees, abandoned rodent burrows, and the voids between walls to establish their nests. The nest is constructed entirely of wax in a characteristic honeycomb pattern.”

A film to be released later this year in response to The Great Reset. It’s entitled: THE GREATEST RESET At https://greatestresetmovie.com there are three trailers.
The intro:
“From the beginning, Man has allowed his pride and the lies of Satan to convince himself he had no need for a relationship with God, his maker. God made Man in his own image and likeness, yet from Adam to Nimrod to now, Man has tried to craft the world in his own image. God reset the world with the flood, preserving Noah – the only righteous man left on Earth. Now, the elites of the world are on the brink of implementing their so called ‘Great Reset’, remaking society into the image of their own darkened minds and hardened hearts. They remain unprepared for God’s GREATEST RESET, the second coming of his Son, Jesus Christ. This documentary film is unlike any to date. No stone is left unturned to explain where we came from, how we got here, who is pulling the strings, why we are in the state we are in, what is coming for humanity, and where to find the Ark to ride out the flood. Don’t forget. Noah was a conspiracy theorist as well. And then it started to rain.”

Ha, just got an email at work:
“Today, Cardinal Blaise Cupich announced that all employees and clergy are required to receive vaccines against COVID-19. Cardinal Cupich said in his message that he made this decision convinced that this is the best way to stop the spread of this deadly virus.
This vaccination policy applies to agencies of the archdiocese such as Catholic Charities, Mercy, Misericordia, and Maryville. The policy will take effect five weeks after the Food and Drug Administration approves any of the three COVID-19 vaccines (at this time, these vaccines have authorizations for emergency use). These three vaccines are from Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, and Pfizer BioNTech. The Food and Drug Administration is expected to give approvals in the coming weeks.”.
Looks like after 10 years working for an agency of Chicago Archdiocese, it is time for me to move forward.

Thank you Beckita, I believe this Cardinal is encouraged to do so by how our current Pope operates. We will see, perhaps there will be a huge reaction from the clergy to revert this mandate.

God bless you, Barbara and God bless Fr. Rodrigue. The ban on Father’s alleged messages remains in place here, just as we do not provide links for any other alleged messages where the local Bishop has spoken in public disavowal of them. A well known example of the beauty of obedience is St. Padre Pio’s situation in which he was silenced for a period. He complied with the restrictions placed upon him and, in time, they were lifted. For those who may not be aware of the open letter released, almost a year ago, from Fr. Rodrigue’s Bishop of the Diocese of Amos: http://www.diocese-amos.org/sn_uploads/fck/FABL/2020-09-03-Open-letter-from-Bishop-Gilles-Lemay-about-Father-Michel-Rodrigue.pdf
Not sure how regularly you read here, Barbara, so here’s the original announcement concerning the banning of Fr. Rodrigue’s purported messages: https://asignofhope379.com/2020/04/29/an-announcement/ And I quote the conclusion written in the announcement which defers to whatever God will allow and do with Father’s claimed private revelations while wishing Father well in his good works:
“While the promoters of Fr. Michel’s messages on their website have done what Bishop Lemay requested, I have discerned, in the spirit of obedience, to ban Fr. Michel’s material from A Sign of Hope. Remember, it is the local Bishop who has the legitimate authority and responsibility, given by the Church, to investigate and make decisions concerning alleged private revelation received by someone in his Diocese. And, while the Bishop has not yet conducted a formal investigation, he has clearly stated he does NOT support the ideas in the messages. Therefore, I think it is the greater wisdom to rest from the alleged messages and trust that God will open new doors if the messages are of Him.
I understand that Fr. Michel’s new religious order which he founded, The Apostolic Fraternity of St. Benedict Joseph Labre, has been growing and there is a new monastery under construction. I’ve also read that Father’s work includes preparing priests for the future of the Catholic Church. May God bless Fr. Michel and may his good works for the Lord flourish as we pray for all our Priests!”

I do not begrudge anyone their cherished beliefs. Both Fr. Rodrigue’s Bishops have publicly repudiated his messages and directed him not to say they approve them. That is not a formal condemnation, but it is a repudiation. Since the Bishop appoints who will be exorcist Priests, it surely is the Bishops’ business to know who is authentically an exorcist and who is not. You don’t become an exorcist by merely claiming to be one.
We have covered all this quite some time ago. Unless someone has some bona fide new information that is meaningful, the ban remains and we will NOT be publishing any arguments on the matter.
LikeLiked by 4 people
My understanding is he never claimed to be an exorcist, but others made this assumption. He has clarified that he is not an official exorcist but, due to a lack of an official exorcist in his region was given special permission on individual cases which is apparently allowed.—- Sent from Doug’s Back Pack

Your comment to pray and decide for myself brought some courage —-Well, both NJ universities have mandated that all adjunct professors get shots, but am happy to say that one university has accepted my religious exemption. Waiting to hear about the other one. They also threatens two Covid tests a week (but now say only one). Some bluffing going on. But I am relieved. Ay caramba!! The TLM derangement syndrome is strong with this one!
Latin is the official language of the Church, the official version of the Missal is first written in Latin and we use the authorised translations from that. But it’s officially in Latin. Of course, we all remember the pearl-clutching and swooning on the fainting-couch from the Grand Duchesses of the “left” – male and female, but mostly male – just 10 years ago when the revised English translation was issued. The almost pathological antipathy of a certain type of “liberal” for anything more sacred or elevated was rarely seen more clearly – as Fr. Z. says: “having a spittle-flecked nutty”.
I reckon yon Bishop would throw a real, technicolour, nutty if it were ever to be pointed out to him that the “General Instruction of the Missal” actually assumes that the Priest is in an “ad orientem” position, e.g. at the Agnus Dei:
“At the conclusion of this prayer, the priest genuflects and takes up the host (which he elevates slightly above the paten or chalice), and, having turned toward the people, says: “Behold the Lamb of God …“
and immediately after it:
“Then, having turned back around to face the altar, the priest says silently: “May the Body of Christ …”
Nope, better not point that out to Bishop Merciful…

Things are looking up over here in this misfortunate island of ours, Beckita, thank’ee!
The good news is that our Bishops finally found their… collective backbone, and told the Government that they were going ahead with Communions and Confirmations and that was that. Full stop! Those in power, or who are under the delusion that they’re in power, but they’re really not, being puppets, of course responded with the usual shock, horror “you’ll be responsible for all the deaths” etc. etc. responses. Our Bishops for once didn’t back down and things are going ahead anyway, D.G. Our local Dominican Church, which has a large primary school attached, had their first Communion since March 2020 last Saturday.
Meanwhile, last Sunday we had the hurling (Irish sport – fast, skillful and sometimes quite physical) semi-final which they “allowed” 40,000 to attend, and inevitably people were packed together, maskless, shouting, celebrating etc. etc. All the things one would expect at a major sporting event, in fact, and just like what happened at the Euro (soccer) final in London, which was attended by nearly twice as many, without, strangely enough, thousands of deaths resulting. Our Prime Minister attended the game and, again strangely enough, doesn’t seem to be developing signs of oncoming serious illness.
So it has struck many people: the “science” says that only 50 people can attend Mass, with a 6-feet distance between) no matter how big the Church, and Communions and Confirmations are still legally verboten, choral performances are suppressed yet… yet… 40,000 can pack together in a stadium, maskless, shouting, singing, with our Vichy “leader” in attendance and… science?????
Yeah, I know, I’m a denier, and probably also a hater (heck no, I’m a European, Catholic, male of the Traditional variety, so I’m definitely that!). May Gaia forgive me, especially for my frequent mentions of Sweden in polite company, and help me to see the light, with the aid of the “science” : (
