Injustice For All

Plymouth, Michigan – The purpose of a justice system is…justice.

It seems a downright quaint notion in a time when the law has been fully weaponized as a political cudgel against conservatives and Christians, when the FBI has supplanted the Ku Klux Klan as the paramilitary arm of the Democratic Party, and the “Justice” Dept. thinks its job is to find ways to jail prominent Republicans while shielding prominent Democrats. It is not the first time the law has been an ideological tool unmoored from any concept of honor or morality. Almost everything that Stalin and Hitler did was actually legal under their standards. This is why it is a fool’s game to equate the law with morality. For most of its history, America DID try to make its law conform to moral standards, though, so it is a shock to see it so willfully, maliciously, and shamelessly perverted.

I think the downfall of the American justice system began in the 60’s, then sped up in the 70’s.

In the 60’s an initially admirable attempt was made to fortify the rights of the accused and rehabilitate offenders. The architects instead created a byzantine system where process became far more important than substance – and known malefactors were routinely released on procedural grounds. Offenders were rarely rehabilitated, but frequently enabled. Even worse, many foolish lawyers came to think of this as actual justice – that the point of justice is byzantine rules rather than actual justice. This came to a head for me with the 1993 kidnapping and murder of 12-year-old Polly Klaas by 39-year-old Richard Davis. It came out that Davis had a 25-year history of increasingly violent crimes, all of which he was released quickly for. In fact, at the time he murdered Klaas, he was on parole for kidnapping. In radio at the time, I did a scathing commentary that those who claimed to oppose the death penalty were actually its most ardent advocates: they just supported it for innocents. Every time they released a violent criminal they issued a blank death warrant…with the name of the victim of the violent criminal they released to be filled in later. A system that routinely convicts the innocent is unjust. A system that routinely releases the guilty on procedural grounds is unjust. The purpose of a system of justice is justice.

Then, on Sept. 20, 2000, special prosecutor Robert Ray dropped the investigation of the Whitewater matter against Bill and Hillary Clinton due to insufficient evidence to convict. The main reason there was insufficient evidence was because the Clintons had vigorously obstructed the investigation from the start. The prosecution was just exhausted after Democrats obstructed constantly and Republicans did not vigorously back up Ray’s demands for accountability. Though little noted at the time, this was the moment our justice system began its descent into utter politicized lawlessness. Democrats realized they could pervert the law as a partisan tool to shield themselves and harass Republicans with little or no pushback from the right. And so they did, pushing the envelope ever further until now, when the system has become a sick parody of justice.

Now, instead of just using the justice system as a cudgel against opponents and a shield for themselves, politicized prosecutors refuse to even charge hardened criminals and instead routinely charge ordinary citizens who have the temerity to defend themselves against deadly threats from the violent criminals the left routinely releases. This dystopian nightmare is done in the name of social justice, presuming that hardened criminals are the oppressed and their victims the oppressors. You now have better odds betting against the house in Las Vegas than you do of getting justice in America’s justice system.

This will eventually lead, as it always does, to an explosion of violence. The arc of history does, indeed, bend towards justice. But it follows a very crooked path, especially when the crooks are running the system. Like every authoritarian society before it, the American system of government has become a criminal enterprise.

On the way to Michigan I passed through Whitewater, Wisconsin. It brought back a fond memory. Forty years ago my then fiancé and I spent the Fourth of July weekend there. There was a carnival in town. My fiancé loved unicorns (which she called corny-horns) and wanted me to win her a stuffed one by knocking over a stack of milk bottles at one booth. Knowing that the milk bottles at the carnival are often the only thing left standing after a tornado rips through, I decided to give it a forlorn try – and later buy her one so she would not be disappointed. I went into my wind-up and threw the hardest sidearm pitch I could. Mirabile dictu! It hit dead center of the stack, going a little over 80 mph and the whole thing came tumbling down. I was astonished. The game attendant was almost as surprised as I was. He said a lot of people knock down the top bottle, for which they got a dinky prize, but the whole stack was only knocked down three or four times a season. He said it was always good for business, as everyone watching started buying chances to try their luck. Interesting stuff to know…but I was just happy to be a stud in my soon-to-be wife’s estimation and she was happy with her plushly stuffed corny-horn. Good times!

As the trickle of evidence of bribery, treason, and general mopery by the Biden crime family becomes a roaring flood, the left just keeps doubling down on their efforts to make conservative jaywalking into a capital crime while dismissing actual Democratic capital crimes as just jaywalking. They have no shame, no remorse, no repentance as the flood of leftist offenses rises above their knees.

Just after the J6 protests, I wrote that the trajectory of things was such that either the left must ultimately back down or we would end up having civil war or a division of the country. The left is not backing down. They are salivating over manufacturing more crimes to charge Trump with and trying to destroy his allies, including Rudy Giuliani who, two decades ago, was universally acclaimed as America’s Mayor for the courage and effectiveness with which he handled the 9-11 attacks.

Joe Biden has become a modern day Nero, amusing and congratulating himself as the nation burns around him. What surprises is the substantial, mouthy minority cheering him on every step of the way. Just last week the left was in a lather because the Supreme Court decided they were no longer allowed to punish people for being white, Asian, or Christian. They called equal treatment “hatred” and the new Jim Crow. I know the road to hell is paved with good intentions: I am surprised to find it lined with crowds cheering on their own destruction.

Leftists have become ‘bitter-enders,’ determined to stay right where they are even as the flood of facts, evidence and logic refuting their worldview reaches to their chin and keeps rising. They will concede nothing even as basic liberty and the rule of law are swept away in the floodwaters. The state of people’s souls are being revealed before our very eyes.

I believe that the time in which all must choose or perish has begun. It is a great and terrible thing. It does not mean that people, however demoniacal, cannot still repent before they perish. But the more the truth becomes obvious, the more unlikely that the bitter-enders will ever repent. The terrible thing about sin, even venial sins, is that as people justify such to themselves, they progressively lose the capacity to recognize sin at all. In extreme cases, they come to think it virtue…so they lose the capacity to repent. God is exposing sin in vivid day-glo colors right now. Those who are incapable of recognizing it – or just refuse – will be swept away even as they think they are winning. It does not have to be this way, but I suppose they will find some joy in complaining to the satan about how they are poor victims. Fast and make reparations now for those in your family who have adopted terminal modern delusions.

I also believe that we are on the cusp of a new age of visible miracles. In these times, God has chosen to let us live, for a time, with the consequences of our hubris, giving us every chance to repent of that hubris and turn back to Him. The overwhelming majority of those who say, “In this house we believe in science…” know next to nothing about science, only sciency-sounding myths that support their pre-conceived notions. Actual science is the study of God’s handiwork. It has revealed some truly amazing things. But we live in an age where everyone wants to play smart on the cheap, spouting whatever the cool kids say without doing any actual study; trying to seek the moral high ground without even a pretense of virtue; proclaiming their compassion while regarding with contempt any who do real, hard work. Intellectuals, even on the right, refuse to believe anything they cannot explain in natural, materialistic terms. They think themselves gods – and come up with materialistic explanations that are so absurd they require far more faith than even the most deeply flawed religious beliefs. So it seems right and proper to me that the Author of all the natural laws in the universe will demonstrate that He is not bound by the laws He created. It is to give all who have even a vestige of honesty left a chance to turn back before being consumed by the rising flood of hubris and vanity around us.

Choose or perish. It is a stark warning, but it is upon us. Blessed are they who have kept faith, even though they struggle and fall often, in the rising flood of willful sin around us. It is they who are sheltered by God as the old era falls violently away. For it is they who, when the fiery trial came upon them, proved by their actions, that they love God and their neighbor.

May all of us at CORAC and A Sign of Hope be counted among their number. With the left refusing to back down even as the toxic lies they preach tumble before reality, all we are left with to build a godly culture is war or division. I now pray – and work – for division that a remnant of righteous might rebuild from the ashes the usurpers are leaving us. In the world, there is no justice for any. The innocent are tormented, the guilty released to torment the innocent even more. God’s justice comes suddenly with swift, implacable force. None can stand it save those who take refuge under the mantle of Christ.

He is watching. He only delays to allow all a chance to take refuge in Him. Pray that you will be sheltered under his cloak as the river of fire rising among us becomes fully engaged. His justice is true – and is for all who call on Him. You will be scorched, but not consumed, by the fiery trial that is suddenly upon us. Let us go forth to proclaim the Kingdom to all who will hear.

  1. Wow, Charlie. SO many of your thoughts about hearts being revealed as well as all of us being faced with the choose or perish reality came to mind as I viewed the movie Sound of Freedom yesterday. It’s not only the horror that there ARE children sold into sexual slavery, but that there are SO SO many who are and that our own country has a horrific place in the stats.

    My wheels have been turning, yesterday and today, on this dimension of our depraved disorder. As I commented to Linda this morning (with some light editing): “What struck me most– because it’s been a while since I’ve read stats – are the current statistics. What Mr. Ballard did was heroic and each life counts, yet, his very meaningful and important work, certainly not missed by God, was a drop in the bucket concerning this problem. The US is #1 in the world for sex trafficking. (In my mind, this is absolutely pornography fallout.) More than 500,000 children a year go missing in the US alone. (No wonder Our Lady of America spoke to the need for purity to return to our country.) I immediately said as we walked out of the film: This is exactly the kind of perversion Pope St. Paul VI forewarned when he penned Humanae Vitae. Of course, various sources give varying statistics. I did read that human trafficking is a 150,000 billion dollar a year criminal enterprise. (As I see it, these are the same kind of demons that incite abortion. Babies in the womb die a sudden, very painful death while abducted children die in slow tortuous horror. If abducted as a 7 year old, those poor young ones are forced to – in the sick lingo – be used in 6-7 tricks a day… throughout their robbed childhood years. The 2021 stats for human trafficking in the US state that 57% are minors.) This is just too big for any one of us, or even a big group of us, to overcome in this current corrupted world.

    In Akita (50 year anniversary last month on June 12th when the messages began https://www.ewtn.com/catholicism/library/message-from-our-lady–akita-japan-5167 ), fully approved by the Church, Our Lady said that there will come a time when there will be no forgiveness for sins. This bothered me at first because of the parable of the prodigal son and knowing how God’s Mercy is always there for us, for Jesus’ Redemptive graces are infinite. However, our classic Catholic teaching about becoming hardhearted comes to mind. We can become set in concrete when it comes to sin. That state is the enemy’s end game for all who will follow him. Too, too many are they who are in this state. I know the purpose of purification is to call us back to God and the Covenant He established with us, yet I also know that too, too many are so far gone, that they would dare spit on Jesus if He appeared to them and offered them an invitation to repent. Here we are. I DO continue to pray for intransigent sinners, because God alone knows who will return to Him or reject Him and God Himself cannot break His rules about free will.

    The other theme which has been in my pondering is that the Sound of Freedom does not even begin to get into the topic of healing from trauma. Even if we were to free every child, and every adult for that matter, who is enslaved in human trafficking, think of the intense amount of therapy that would be needed to bring these precious humans to experience full healing by the Lord.

    There are currently more slaves than there ever have been in history. Think on that mind-boggling reality while we continue acting by TNRS, and being ASOH as we are ALL IN with CORAC, and, most surely, we n.e.e.d. a Red Sea intervention. Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus, come and set us free!”

    2. This evil is all almost too much to comprehend with our earthbound minds. For me, the same is true thinking that Jesus saw every sin that would ever be committed, as He was suffering on the Cross.

      Sobering words from you, Charlie, maybe the most serious tone I’ve ever heard from you. But we know the glory comes after the Crucifixion. Mama, keep your mantle over us and our families.

      The subject matter is beyond horrid, but the filmmakers sensitively conveyed the truth without traumatizing the viewers.

      Here is one comment of yours, Beckita, that I’d like to respond to: “I DO continue to pray for intransigent sinners, because God alone knows who will return to Him or reject Him and God Himself cannot break His rules about free will.”

      One of the characters who turned out, early on, to be one of the good guys, was once a big sinner (not in sex trafficking, I don’t think, but in other ways). He told Tim Ballard of the unexpected moment (we might call it a moment of Grace) when God spoke directly to him and he obeyed. Working alongside Tim Ballard put his own life in danger, but he had made a promise to God and, in the film, kept it.

      2. Ground report: At first, the indy movie house where I watched this was showing the film through Thursday, July 6. Some friends of mine attended on the 6th and reported that it was sold out (they had tickets). I just checked, and the movie house has extended the date to July 13, with two or three showings a day!

        1. Excellent, Sr. Bear. Thank you for this piece. I especially loved the interview with Tim Ballard and how he highlighted his faith and the veracity of the necklace scenes from the film. I also appreciated hearing from his own lips the phrase I used in my previous comment about the great goodness of Ballard’s work and all those peoples and organizations which are raising awareness, rescuing, working to bring healing to the saved victims, etc.: “It’s only a drop in the bucket.” Heart-piercing. In this area alone, there’s a LOT of wood to chop.

          In my ongoing praying and pondering, I think of the words of Our Lady, both in Akita and in Garabandal. From Garabandal, of course, we think of an illumination of conscience and I so agree with Charlie that there have been ongoing opportunities from Holy Spirit for people to awaken to truth and respond to what God is allowing to be revealed all around us. And, I also readily see how God’s process focused on His ultimate aim to reclaim all who would bend the knee, repent and receive His Mercy could include a discrete event of illuminating each one’s conscience – very much a last call to Choose or Perish. Add to this, these words given in Akita: “Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful.” In my own heart of prayer and contemplation, I wonder at the possibility of a fire that is both tangible in the natural world and also supernatural in its action. God’s Creation on earth would be cleansed by tangible fire, while the supernatural fire would be an interior action. The very fire of the Holy Spirit – connected to the original Exodus when our fathers and mothers in faith were guided via the Pillar of Cloud by day and the Pillar of Fire by night – could well cleanse each one interiorly so that those who choose God become made anew, bringing to fulfillment in our times these words eternal: “Behold! I make all things new.”

          Finally, I now include in the Brazen Serpent Prayer and the beautiful Rosary rooted in this prayer, the intention of healing not only those who have been harmed by the vaxx, but also the healing of those who are victims of trafficking who, in this epoch of history, comprise the greatest number of people ever oppressed in slavery. For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

                    2. Beckita can you give me some advice. I have a family member who is trying to get me to state that I agree with her lifestyle which I know I can’t. Charlie has this saying (in fact I think he just said it again at the field day) that if “I don’t agree with you lifestyle we can still be friends but if you try to FORCE me to agree with your lifestyle we’ll then we can’t be friends.” Or it’s something like that…. Can you remember the phrase exactly Beckita? I only have one chance to get this right when we talk and I don’t want to mess it up with I often do. I get words messed up sometimes. I think most here have family members who live by different values than do each of us. When I’m pestered, I just take my space and refuse to engage in that topic. Praying…

She called mike and he too explained our position then I told her what I’ve heard Charlie say, which is if we disagree with each others lifestyle we can still be friends, if you insist we agree with your lifestyle we cannot be friends. She accepted that we can live each other and still disagree. I’m thankful to God it is resolved and we will all keep praying🙏🙏🙏. We are all sinners to some degree 🙏🙏🙏

      3. Many of us are concerned about the long-term trauma that these, God’s children, will have to deal with. Being rescued from daily horrors is just the beginning. A key takeaway in this essay is the inexplicable healing power of Christ Jesus in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Jesus on the cross knew all of these things for which he was crucified for the redemption of the world!

        Dear Jesus, please heal these innocents!

        2. Yes, Sr. Bear, this is a great concern of mine, too. When we were both 16, my best friend was kidnapped and raped. To make a long, painful story short, she recovered from this trauma while I grieved about it for years. You see, she had asked me to go with her on her errand and I lazily wanted to sleep in that Saturday. When I finally had the courage to beg her forgiveness she smiled in her beautiful way and said, “I never blamed you. And for what happened to me, I just left it in the past.” Obviously, I did not have the power that she had and I had to learn to forgive myself.
          For all those children who will be rescued or who manage to escape this living hell, I pray this specifically, that God will give them this wonderful power of the mind to bring about healing in themselves. Aided by His grace, the human mind is a stunningly adaptive instrument. I like to think my tears of sorrow were part of the grace for my friend and so, too, our cries for pity of these victims will please the Lord and, in His invisible and powerful way, He will bring them healing. Whenever I awake at night, I pray for them, especially the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Ave Maris Stella, who will be our lighthouse in this dark storm.

  3. Charlie, you have such clear vision. I recognize everything that you said, but I am totally amazed at the number of people who are blinded by the devil. Today’s worldwide message is that what’s good is bad, and what’s bad is good. There is no doubt that there is no truth or justice to be found in any of our governmental agencies. Actually, there’s no hope for recovery from our leaders. We need a rescue. I believe that the “warning” is right around the corner. Our souls need to be exposed to God’s vision of each one of us. That’s scary in itself, but we need to be shaken out of our stupor. It’s wake up time. We will reap what we sow. God, in His mercy, will bring us to peaceful times through the Immaculate Heart of Mary and Her triumph. Boy, do we ever need an era of peace. Jesus, I trust in you.

I was actually just there June 23rd-June 26th, so maybe our paths crossed there? I now live in the Denver area. I want to do more research on this sometime, but Whitewater has a history of paganism. You probably already know this, but it was the home of the Pratt Institute, the first school of spiritism. It was also referred to as “Second Salem” in reference to purported witchcraft there and the three local cemeteries that form an isosceles triangle that is supposedly connected with witchcraft.     1. Littleone, since Charlie is on the road with an ever-packed schedule, I’ll just note that he has written very much about the complexities involved with interpreting prophecy. He actually wrote 60+ pieces back at TNRS about the trickiness of interpretation and discernment. Charlie has also written that (paraphrasing now) as we look around at all that was formerly hidden and now being revealed, people have ample opportunities to be illuminated IF they have eyes to see. You ask about “THE ‘Warning.'” Of course, the traditional interpretation which many hold to be so is that there will be a discrete event. (I have been on pilgrimage to Garabandal, the apparition site where we first heard of the Warning. Everyone around me insisted that this was a discrete event. However, while reflecting on Charlie’s abundant wisdom and experience, I began to take pause and reflect on his points. This has led me to believe – especially as I have observed all that has transpired – that, indeed, people are being illuminated in many ways. Now, I simply hope that there might be a discrete event. But then, that’s how I’d like God to do it. Best for all of us to open our hands and receive what He actually IS doing as He makes all things new.) This all bring to mind that some time ago, Charlie began highlighting, in his tours around the country, that we are now in the time of living the prophecies. I took this to mean that it’s time to keep our focus on TNRS, ASOH and CORAC while God unfolds His Plan before us. God bless, Littleone. Hope all is well with you. 🙂

    Anti-Federalist Patrick Henry issued a prescient warning that the ratification of the Constitution would lead to our losing the right to a jury trial. This has gradually already happened, with some 97% of indictments/charges settled by negotiated plea bargains rather than trial by jury. Plea Bargains are an abomination, and something unknown to our Founding ancestors.

    How about that Mr. O’CONNOR, a New York Democrat? There appears to be not even one representative among current Democrats comparable to Mr. O’CONNOR.

    Indeed, it is possible that there are no-or very few-Republicans in congress serving honorably in similar fashion as Mr. O’CONNOR.

    Thomas Jefferson thought we should have a little rebellion now and then, at least every twenty years or so, in order that the government itself obeys the law. The bad results of us not doing so are easily and instantly observable if ones eyes are open.

    We are now ruled by thoroughly evil and corrupt government actors.
