My Mother and Father

My father died today. He had a mild injury and suddenly took a very bad turn for the worse last night. He passed at 11:45 am Eastern Time. I am heading south today to be with the family. I have not been able to get hold of my scheduler this morning, but obviously, the things I have scheduled for the next week and a half are going to have to be rescheduled.

I ask you to offer prayers for my dad and for my family.

  7. I’m so very sorry for your loss. No matter when, it’s just hard and no matter our age, we feel like an orphan when a parent goes home to God. Part of us wants to go with them.

    ….. but your Dad lived a long life and when next you gaze upon him and your Mom they will not be old and sick but be wearing the perfected bodies of the young when first you laid eyes upon them as a babe 😉

    1. Thank you for this beautiful quote! My dad died three years ago this December and my mom died last March. I miss them so much. This quote brings comfort. 😔

    I am so sorry for your sudden loss, of your father, and pray for the peaceful repose of his soul. My prayers accompany you, your mother and family in the days to come.

    As soon as Jesus heard the news that St. John the Baptist had suddenly died, he left in a boat to a remote area to be alone. If you need more than a week and a half off, I hope you will allow yourself to take it.
