The Times, They Are a-Changing

The first time I ever took my kids to the zoo, they were only one and two. Certainly, they enjoyed the animals, but I was a bit disappointed that they really did not evince the surprise and delight I remembered from my own first foray to a zoo as a child. Then it dawned on me, though the zoo was new to them, at that age just about EVERYTHING was new to them – so why would it be any more amazing than a trip to the lake or any other (to me) common, mundane event? It wouldn’t.

A child lacks experience, so he does not easily or quickly categorize anything into patterns he is familiar with. Everything is new to him. On the other hand, he sees things as they are and does not try to force them into categories he knows – because he just does not have many to work with. He is busy forming them from the sensory input he gets. Thus, if an adult were to see a 1963 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow floating five feet off the ground, that adult would have a serious case of cognitive dissonance, for it would not fit any easily accessible category in his experience. If a three-year-old saw the same thing, it might delight him, but it would just be another of the many amazing things he is seeing for the first time. Instead of creating cognitive dissonance, it would go into forming his expectations of what “normal” is.

Determining what is “normal” and developing the ability to see patterns helps us to quickly see, assess and react effectively to situations in real time. It is why experience is so highly valued.

Early in high school, I developed a fascination with studying societies on the verge of catastrophic collapse.  In hindsight, the signs were always there years, often decades, before actual collapse happened. There was a peculiar velocity to the signs, like a truck rolling downhill, getting faster and faster while simultaneously getting further out of control. What was really peculiar was that, as this velocity increased, almost no one in the society interpreted the signs for what they actually were; harbingers of impending collapse. In these cases, their experience turned traitor on them, leading them to make false analogies to similar, but substantively different, patterns they had successfully managed in the past. This convinced them that, despite the quantitatively growing disorder, everything was going to be okay. Their experience deceived them and they did not see things for how they really were.

In normal, stable times experience is the key characteristic for making good assessments and decisions. In abnormal, volatile times experience remains valuable in helping to craft effective responses to events as they unfold, but it can blind you to what is actually happening. That is because your experience restlessly seeks to impose patterns you are familiar with, but no longer apply, over the new realities you face. Strategies and tactics are only effective in managing what is, not what is not.

The two most common biases that confound our reasoning in tumultuous times are normalcy bias and confirmation bias. Normal human behavior seeks to avoid confrontation, for every confrontation involves some amount of risk – the risk of loss or of loss of control. Thus, the mind seeks to impose normal patterns on seriously abnormal events to justify avoiding confrontation. If the events the mind seeks to normalize are disordered seriously enough, that normalcy bias enables those events to metastasize into a greater malignancy – that still must be confronted if things are to be re-stabilized. Malicious actors play upon this normalcy bias to paralyze potential opponents and give themselves time to consolidate their own strength so that, by the time opponents can no longer deceive themselves with normalcy bias, the odds have shifted more favorably to the malicious actors. This is how Adolf Hitler played what would later become the allies into giving him time to dramatically enhance and consolidate his strength before those allies took direct confrontational action. If the allies had abandoned their normalcy bias even a year earlier, Hitler could have been stopped at a tiny fraction of the cost in human lives it ultimately took to preserve freedom.

Confirmation bias causes a person to only take note of narratives that confirm what he already believes. In tumultuous times, it is a particular danger to those who know something is wrong but do not quite understand it or cannot effectively express the underlying dread of it. Thus, in older times, when gangs of thieves and cutthroats came marauding in a village, tales of monsters and ghosts would rise. While villagers developed tactics for dealing with monsters and ghosts, the marauders often proceeded nearly unmolested.

In current times, many moderate folks believe that the last election was just a swing of the pendulum, that there was no massive conspiracy to invalidate and overwhelm the honest votes of proper citizens, that all the systems are still fundamentally sound. If that is correct, then a course correction would take place at the next election – which many good people are putting their hopes in, so they don’t have to confront an unthinkable malignancy. Meantime, many otherwise serious folks are eagerly jumping onto all manner of wild, unvetted (and sometimes even unhinged) explanations of how things were fraudulently manipulated. They are right that things were badly and maliciously manipulated, but they risk chasing after monsters and ghosts while leaving the electoral marauders unmolested. The moderates convince themselves that things are fundamentally okay, so no confrontation is needed – and they are wrong. Otherwise serious folks are right that things are badly wrong, but are so eagerly jumping on any old nonsense to emphasize how badly wrong things are that they vitiate our ability to confront and defeat the actual problems we have – or even to analyze them soberly.

In his message to Congress of December 1, 1862, President Abraham Lincoln said, “The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present…we must think anew and act anew.” If we are to navigate well through these treacherously unprecedented waters we find ourselves in, we must, first, see clearly what is in front of us instead of trying to force it into what we want to see. Second, we must analyze clearly, soberly and deliberately without frantic or frenzied haste – then confront it with equal deliberation and resolve. In short, we must see what IS there and refuse to jump to what is NOT there. The old dogmas are already dead – and we must think anew. Here are just three areas where a new approach must prevail – with some comments.

Church – Being a traditional religious cleric is more and more coming to be seen as a disreputable job. That trend will continue. One of the reasons for it is that a lot of disreputable people have become clerics as a means of attaining mere temporal power and influence. Another reason is that many who came in for at least some genuine religious reasons fancy themselves diplomats who can mediate between God’s commands and temporal trends that violate those commands. These are the ones playing chess with the devil.  (I checked with several people I knew who were at the Napa Conference – and they all confirmed the substance of Michael Voris’ insightful piece linked to here.) The old play of mollifying the orthodox while preserving the mega-donor base is dying before major clerics’ eyes – and they are blind to it. Playing footsie with a temporal power elite that is hostile to traditional faith – and the faithful who practice it, will not preserve the clerics’ influence, but crush it. Some foolish clerics even think they have made new allies with the anti-God left that will exempt them from destruction. The irony is that those new “allies” are eager to help those clerics destroy their credibility with the orthodox. Once that is gone, it will be easier to crush them altogether. The very idea of a religious infrastructure is a dangerous potential rival to the left – and just as Stalin did to Trotsky, as soon as the left can isolate these clerics, the night of the long knives against them will commence.

I often say God works primarily through indirection. No doubt it pleases Him that all the Trotsky clerics and the diplomat clerics who play chess with the devil are hastening their own destruction, even merely at temporal hands. Soon enough, the only reason to remain a cleric will be from simple love of God and of His people. It is these who will hold fast to their post when all hope of power and influence is gone. And it is from these that God will renew and rebuild His Church. There is a great harvest of saints growing, almost unnoticed, in the midst of the choking brambles of worldly clerics.

Covid – I think we are right at the edge of a great tipping point. In the early animal experiments with mRNA “vaccines,” most of the animals died rather quickly. As researchers minimized the short-term problems, the long-term problem that they never consistently resolved is that the spike protein they inject to protect against a specific virus becomes increasingly rogue over time. It gets over-aggressive attacking similar viruses with ever lesser restraint, ending by attacking the soft tissues of internal organs. In many cases, ultimately, the test subjects healthy lungs were ultimately destroyed by the spike protein. It was like injecting a malignant tumor into an animal’s bodies in hopes that it would die off after offering some initial protection against a specific virus. Rarely did it. No one has been able to provide me the full data on any successful trials – and I have encountered none, even among the most enthusiastic of mRNA shot supporters, who know of any.

If the pattern I saw in the animal trials holds true here, what will soon happen is that the Delta variant will be relatively innocuous among those who never took the shot, but will be very hard on those who have. For as long as they can, officials will try to hide that. But once the disorders start to cascade, they accelerate very quickly – and will become impossible to hide. I see two probable reasons for the frantic push to get everyone “vaccinated.” First, for elected and bureaucratic officials, it is the same old, same old – establishing control over the general population. But I suspect top public health officials are in a panic that the first massive clues to the disaster they have wrought are on the horizon – and if they have a large un-vaccinated class that is only minimally affected by new variants, it will highlight how badly they erred. Thus, they are desperately hoping they can eliminate the un-vaccinated “control” class, so they can credibly claim, whatever disasters ensue, that it would have been worse without the mRNA shot. It’s not going to pan out for them IF they have not actually solved the long-term problems with mRNA shots – because they squandered their credibility with their kaleidoscopic of conflicting claims over the last year and a half.

Why would God allow such a thing? Well, I began to suspect last November that the lack of guardrail protocols in developing this made it likely to become a huge disaster, particularly with the failures of the animal trials. In February, I got how this could be consistent with God rebuking our hubris while simultaneously not leading us to destruction. Elected officials are going to be revealed as frauds – they had access to the same data I did, even if they tried to bowdlerize it to downplay the dangers. The media is going to be revealed as a group of ignorant charlatans. Public health officials are going to be revealed as politicized hacks. Even well-meaning doctors are going to be revealed as unreliable – men and women who chose to ignore contrary information from top, credible sources and instead obediently parroted the narrative. Many Church leaders are going to be revealed as power-brokers and influence peddlers rather than steadfast defenders of the faithful. Dealing with the most incompetent and mendacious elite class in history, God is going to remind us that He is our only source of reliable security.

Perhaps the pharmaceutical companies have solved the substantial problems that emerged from the animal trials. If they have not, then the vaccinated will be hit harder than the unvaccinated – and no matter how hard the bureaucratic class tries to hide it, the velocity of the cascade will reveal it before another month or two go by. I am concerned enough that I am working with some serious scientists to get a temporal protocol in place to help ameliorate the worst of it. I am now going to come up to the edge of violating a pledge I made: I am reliably informed that this is NOT for our destruction, but our redemption – that God IS the only irreplaceable protocol. But it may well require a lot of destruction for us to see it, after having played at being gods, ourselves, for so long.

Separation – I have talked about secession as a form of panic room – a way to preserve liberty until the totalitarian moment has passed. This whole business is weirder than that. In the Civil War, the Confederate states sought to overthrow the authority of the system of government whose levers of power they did not control. In the current situation, the people who hold the levers of power are trying to overthrow the system of government that they nominally control. It is the left – and Democratic officials – who are trying to secede from Constitutional government and the Bill of Rights. As with the fall of the Roman Republic (NOT the Empire), they seek to preserve some of the forms of freedom while destroying their substance.

Most revolutionaries seek to completely overthrow the government from without. The only modern equivalent I can find where a movement sought to overthrow their system of government from within was Adolf Hitler’s rise to power. It was 79 years ago today (Aug. 9, 1932) that Reichstag President Hermann Goering successfully shepherded legislation through that criminalized resistance to or criticism of the Nazi Party as attacks or domestic terrorism. This paved the way for the appointment of Adolf Hitler as Chancellor of the Realm on Jan. 30, 1933. Once he had that power, he ruthlessly used Goering’s earlier legislation to effectively outlaw all dissent, under the guise of state security and unity. In that case, the Nazis’ intent was to take legitimate power in a free republic, then use that to seize absolute power while transforming the government into, first, an authoritarian state and then a totalitarian nightmare.

In America, we have sovereign states which, theoretically, are not subject to federal whims. They have acted like subsidiaries of the federal government for so long that it is a hard habit to shake, but as various states reject federal efforts to overturn constitutional law on such things as the second amendment, immigration, free speech, covid restrictions, and eviction bans, those states are engaging in nullification – even if they are nullifying powers that the federal government has never had. These are dress rehearsals for actual secession. We have a safety valve in America in the individual states. If federal officials and blue states are determined to secede from Constitutional law and replace it with an authoritarian bureaucratic state, we can preserve the Constitution and Bill of Rights by individual states refusing to collude with this brave new world. If managed effectively, this “panic room” option could spare a sizable chunk of America from the dystopian nightmare the left envisions.

“You shall be like gods,” the satan told Eve as he seduced her into eating the fruit of the forbidden tree. It is the original narcissistic temptation, the one that causes man to fall over and over again. Whenever I see narcissism run amok, I see demonic activity.

In the beginning, God created man in His own image; male and female He created them. God created man, gave them complementarity, and assigned the sex of each soul He created. The transgender delusion is an effort to overthrow God’s sovereignty; to narcissistically insist that “I am god – and I will not submit.” To approve of active homosexuality is to deny God’s complementarity, to instead choose what is “like me.” It is a narcissistic conceit. To trivialize love to mean whatever most satisfies me rather than to will the good of another is fundamentally narcissistic. It is to make common cause with Lucifer in proclaiming, “Non serviam.” And for those religious leaders who affirm that this ‘non serviam’ is right and just, who, exactly, do they serve? Federal officials seek to overturn the most successful form of government in human history and remake it in their own benighted images. Narcissism much?

We are in the quiet before a serious battle erupts. Those on the left are trying to provoke patriots to violent action, in hopes they can justify clamping down tighter – and in the narcissistic certainty that they will win. The longer patriots and the faithful can hold out, the more difficult it will be for the left to claim it was the other side’s fault – for each day that a new provocation comes, more people in the middle come to see the truth of the matter.

In these tumultuous times, it cannot be helped that some people desperately hold onto their normalcy bias. It cannot be helped that some who know things are badly wrong manufacture phantasms to explain the monsters that they feel surrounding them, but cannot adequately describe. But we here are called to be signs of hope after the dam breaks – and to do that effectively, we must work to see things as they are while not imagining monsters that are not there. Lord, lead me neither to the left out of anger nor to the right out of fear, but lead me in a plain path.

Things are hitting faster and faster – and so I took some time this last week to retool. It is not that there are not enough things to talk about, but that there are so many offenses pouring forth that it is difficult to figure which to let be and which to focus on. Of course, as disorder increases, constantly evolving our focus to deal with what is fundamental and avoiding what is merely ancillary will be a constant battle.

Meantime, we have a few events coming up that are CORAC-sponsored or CORAC supported. This weekend, in Goffstown, New Hampshire, we are supporting the “Stand Up and Kneel” event. It is an afternoon event to pray for and with our Bishops, Priests and Pastors; to sing with them and to pray for the renewal of the faith and support from the laity for those clerics who are working to serve God and the faithful. I can’t be there this time, but I well know the key organizers and the wonderful site they are using (I gave a presentation there a few years back.) If you are in the northeast, make a weekend of it.

      Normalcy and Confirmation Biasing. As a professional psychologist, and with the experience of aged added in, Charlie’s review is perfectly accurate.

      Church. I would further emphasize that all American churches have failed terribly to attack the ideas of the Demorat pols and their media and corporate allies as they attack religious freedoms, property right, individual liberty, and the sanctity of God given life as they brutalize infants in the womb. For example, Pelosi is outrageously sinful in her advocacy of abortion, but the RCC continues to hionior her pretence at membership.

      Covid. Again, powerfully insightful on what has happened, why, and how it may end badly for the politicians pushing vaccination, such as demented Joe, evil Fauci. and a Secretary of Defense who has lost sight of his real authority and mission.

      Separation. I am increasingly optimistic that the outrageous and harmful nature of the Demorat campaign themes, even fully supported by the mass media/big tech, and corporate management sycophants tripping over themselves to please the Demorat pols who favor them on tax breaks, and appease China to gain market share there, even the generally informed voting public can see that what they propose is a combination of crazy, evil, and harmful.

      Here is a brief summary list of Demorat themes that portray their agenda as stupid and harmful:

      * The nuclear family must be replaced with children being raised as wards of the State.
      *Male and Female sex differences must be suppressed and neutered. Mothers are only incidentally birthing machines.
      *Transsexuals have rights that outweigh those of ordinary citizens with ordinary preferences as countenanced by the Bible.
      *Police need to be shamed, defunded, and replaced by social counselors.
      *Bail for crimes, even armed bank robbery and outright murder, should be ended (and basically have been in NY, Cal, and Philadelphia, to name a few jurisdictions).
      *The Covid justifies banning rent collection, even if bankrupting renters; the “common good” outweighs individual property rights (this is an extension of an earlier bad Supreme Court decision on applying the Takings Clause ( good review https://fas.org/sgp/crs/misc/97-122.pdf ).
      *Individual initiative, hard work, and successful competition must be abolished in favor of Equitable distribution and Diversity (e.g., a mixed cadre of aircraft pilots is more important than selecting the best qualified).
      *Foolishly taken student loans, such as for Liberal Arts college degrees, must be forgiven (paid for by innocent taxpayers).
      *White people should be condemned by society and themselves for being born oppressors of minorities, and minorities need to realize that the are born victims, as pronounced by Critical Race *Theory, and as espoused by the Biden administration, the national Teachers Unions, and numerous local school boards.
      “The greatest threat to USA safety is not the Chinese, Russians, or crazy nuc armed N Koreans (with Iran allowed to join the nuc club), but White terrorists who voted for Pres Trump.

      There is more, but this is enough to show that the Demorats have gone too far, too fast, as Charlie had earlier observed.

Evil does exhaust itself and we can build/birth a New Beginning, starting in our own hearts and lives while becoming a sign of hope and change to those around us. Onward. 🙂

  3. Wow, is right! Must read it all again and digest it better! I’m intrigued by “the velocity of the cascade will reveal it before another month or two go by”. My hope is that if this evil is revealed, that it will stop more evil from being dished out to the whole population. It’s horrible to think of the entire military, health care workers (including our daughter!), and so many others being ordered to get this horrible phony vaxxxine (as Steve spells it)! Wake up, people! And come Lord and Mama!

    I keep praying for the Triumph, the Rescue, and the Pope of the Rescue!

    1. This does scare me, as everyone of my Brothers and sisters and most of my nieces and nephews have taken the vaccine. I pray every night that God spares them from the terrible effects of these vaccines. The thought that my whole family could potentially die from these vaccines makes me very sad.

          Beckita I am becoming more and more convicted this is the reason why I am here, on this planet. To plead for those entrusted to my care. I spend all my time doing this and have done so for years now.

          I see the biases Charlie describes so at work in those around me, those entrusted to my care, in varying degrees. Those of us who have long been attuned, have always lived in a marginalized way. It has taught us that relying on The Lord alone is the only way (TYG).

          Regarding my beloved son who succumbed to illness, in a twisted way, that act is of course the ultimate diss to a parent. It has been a powerful, rejuvenating, life-giving, meditation (relevant to these turbulent times) to me that it does not matter, one wit. I love him. By the grace of God, nothing can separate me from my love of my children. Nothing. God wills it be so. God wills parental love for one’s children is a reflection of His love for each of us.

          There are other personal relationships that also reflect the Lord’s incomprehensible love. What a wonderful reflection to realize that nothing can separate us from the love of God and consequently, if we chose (with His grace), He will use us to spill this back onto humanity in these needful times. TYG.

        2. I’ve been praying by proxy for my loved ones and for many people using the Holy Oil of St Raphael who is my “go to,” archangel aka God’s medicine. I prayed over both my boys (Tommy especially wanted to laugh out loud😂😂😂) but I also gave it to a sweet lady I help clean for…her name is Marta…she had stomach cancer and only has a tiny bit of her tummy left. Anyhow I gave her st Raphaels Holy oil 17 days ago, and for 17 days she tells me she has not thrown up!!! Yippee skippy! Please everyone pray for Marta!!! She is the sweetest young lady I know! She is from Columbia.

          Here is the Holy Oil ministry. They don’t charge for this oil and prayer card but they welcome donations after you receive it in the mail and they are really fast getting it out!

          The reason I explain all this is that I believe maybe we can pray for our loved ones who have received the jab. I really love invoking St Raphael 🥰🙏✝️😇📿🌺

          1. Linda, we were blessed to have had Fr. Whalen (May he rest in peace and may perpetial light shine upon him) pray over my whole family on two occasions. They would have adoration, confessions, and a laying on of hands/praying using the blessed oil. Fr’s life story is so remarkable, incredible even. Our local diocesan newspaper did a feature story on him many years back. That’s how I found out about him. He was a priest in my diocese for a long while, but I never knew about his ministry until the article. I love St Raphael. My LiamXOXO took St. Raphael as his confirmation saint. That has always been a great consolation to me.🙂

Littlelight that is amazing and thank you sooooo much for sharing this!!!I sent it to my bro in law too as he had great suffering and I told him to pray over his son with it too who was been plagued with bouts of extreme mood shifts. His name is Jason. Pls pray for him too. Such a great kid, the dad says there’s some miraculous stuff in that Holy Oil🥰 st Raphael these times were meant for you!!! Please rain down your healing oil upon the whole world just like you helped the young Tobias 🥰🙏✝️😇 🌧

              2. Aargh I replied but it got eaten. I wanted to let you know I offered some prayers for Jason. Also if you haven’t already read Fr Whalen’s life story. It used to be on the website. I just realized I had some oil in my purse. You’ve inspired me to use it. The oil healed some psoriasis on my elbow many years ago.

Also, our neighbor behind us, Ernie Jenkins was beside himself and came over to deliver the news his wife Donna probably had cancer as she was bleeding pure blood from her kidney. Mike and I gave her the St Raphael oil and prayer card!!! Went over today and they had been celebrating all weekend at their campsite with all negatives for cancer which runs rampant in her family!!! Donna put st Raphael’s oil on and said the entire prayer!!! Thanks be to God I told him and thanks be to St Raphael and Fr Whalen too!!! So good to see happiness!!!🥰🥰✝️✝️✝️😇😇📿📿

There seems to be a kind of apathy in a lot of people I’ve shared Fr. Whalen’s incredible life/story with. It kinda reminds me of this priceless, humorous scene in “Despicable Me”

                    3. Fr Joe Whalens life put me into a long long episode of “tears of joy!” What an amazing priest he was/is! His life story so spoke to me! Thank you thank you thank you Littlelight for introducing me to the man whose ministry I’ve been spreading!!! So many similarities do I share with Fr joe! Just amazing! Char introduced me to his ministry awhile back and I just went crazy with it!! Ha!!! How beautiful are our Friends in heaven…God’s friends…and ours🥰🙏✝️😇📿

I use it often by proxy to try to help those I can’t get to or to those whom I know would not use it themselves. Although as this storm deepens, more and more people are more open to prayers and sacramentals. Everyone is beginning to wake up and search for answers and peace that can only come from God🥰

  6. Charlie, I was wondering what you ( or anyone) thought of Dr Yaedon’s vid about it all being a ploy for vaccination/ social credit and population control?

    I didn’t know what to think. It seems implausible but at the same time all of this seemed implausible 2 years ago. So I am wary of my own judgement. ( not that the information in the vid changes the course of my action- I’m over here taking my own steps)

    He seems like a level headed guy.

At this point, Briana, though I read extensively, I stay away from most individual medical takes, unless they are firmly entrenched establishment types who are being censored – and I can fully check their credentials. I do this NOT out of any bias – I actually think many of them that drill down into the details are probably right, but there is such a profusion of fluff around it all that it is easy to go down a rabbit hole. So I stick to establishment dissenters in the medical profession and to generalists who use impeccable logic and data that any of us COULD access. It is an institutionally cautious approach that causes me not to cite many who are well worth the time spent, but rigorously protects my institutional credibility – which will be at a premium in the midst of the panic that will ensue if this all starts to visibly unravel. We are at the precipice of the stuff from which revolutions are made and I very much want to be able to be a voice of reason if that comes. Lately, I’ve been feeling a lot like that little Dutch boy with his finger in the rapidly crumbling dyke.

        Yes, and ultimately behind all three of what you listed = the one who hates humanity with such insane hatred that we can never fully understand it.

        I think (I hope!) he has very few actual, willing, servants, those who serve him in full knowledge, but he is able to control so many through misguided passions and misused intelligence, and they in turn seem to be given undue influence to lead so many millions more astray. It’s a story that’s repeated itself so many times in history, but we seem to fall for it each and every time, as though it were all new and shiny-bright. This time it’ll work!!! The Wile E. Coyote syndrome.

        As I understand it, there’s been a philosophical trend over the past few centuries in which reality i.e. objective truth, has been gradually discarded in favour of some sort of internal illumination, the god within, so that the only reality becomes one’s own – the imperial ego. Therefore history isn’t really “real”, so why should we learn from “mistakes”? And who is really to say they were mistakes anyway? All the “my truth” and “your truth” stuff – I felt like using another noun there but… : )

        I’m sure that’s a total over-simplification, but it’s certain that the abandonment of Everlasting Truth has lead us to this pass. We know the way out, albeit it ain’t gonna be pleasant. Take the next right step… and hold on tight to the handgrips!! (especially the one with the 59 beads and the little crucifix).

    The devil’s chess board really got to me. Made me wonder which piece I sould be on the Lord’s side. I know our Queen and our King will ultimately be the ones who say ‘checkmate.’ Can’t wait for that day!

    Prayer has become such a challenge. I don’t mean the little prayers offered here and there, but the good meat and potatoes, meditative prayer with the Lord. Some days just making it through a Chaplet is challenging. I really cherish Sunday Mass and try to get there early enough for confession, and to just sit quietly before the Blessed Sacrament.

    I continue to pray for intentions as they are asked for, and I am hoping and praying this dark night ends soon.

  8. The daughter of a good friend works in the Baptist hospital Healthcare system here in Memphis and they have just made the jab mandatory. She won’t get it so I presume she will be fired.
    A friend is so horrified by the TN governor, she and her family are ready to move to Florida. Sounds like a good plan!

        2. Thanks, Kim. Fortunately, (Thank you Lord!) our wonderful doctor is an integrative and functional physician who also uses holistic alternatives when possible. In the last two days, he has sent all of his patients the following message: “The link below is to a powerful talk given to some board by an integrative medical doctor, in which he clearly explains the truth of COVID-19 and how the current approach to it is completely without basis in medical science.” I do not have that link as he has to reset it for it to work for us because of the amount of people who are attempting to download it at present. I’m pretty sure it must be the video that shows the doctor speaking a a school board before they determine their own protocols. This doctor also volunteered to be a pro-bono expert backup for the members of that board should they need him. MY point is that here is another VERY good physician doing all that he can to help people the way God intended….right here in Tennessee (mid-state). 🙂

  9. Charlie, you mentioned your concerns with the mRNA vaccine. Have you heard of the (hopefully) soon to be released Novavax vaccine? I understand it’s made without the ties to abortion by a Maryland based company. Also, it uses the same technology as does the Hepatitis B and Whooping Cough vaccines. Seems to be a lot safer. Your thoughts?

      The Novavax also involves injecting spike proteins. The difference is only in how the spike vaxxxine particles are produced. Keep in mind that Covid-19 infections are bad because of the spike protein attached to the virus (the virus itself is a nothing burger, merely a transmitting mechanism to spread the spike, if you will). So Covid-19 infection damage, especially in Phase 2, is from the spike, not the virus. All the injections that place spike proteins into your body are simply giving you Covid without the virus, only it is a massive jolt of Covid. At this point I would have to say that more people are dying from the spiked vaccines than have ever died from the spiked virus, but I have no backup numbers absolutely *proving* that, because all the numbers are being systematically corrupted.

      Also from Steve:

      What is true to my eyes is that the virus is the *means* by which the Powers have spread the spike, which is indeed a bioweapon. The virus is real and has carried the initial spike protein around the world, AND it provided an excuse for the Powers to claim a pandemic and work to scare everyone into a state of such extreme fear that we would all willingly take the vaxxx. It is the vaxxx that is the true bioweapon, and the spike in the vaxxx is more virulent and damaging than the one attached to the virus.       Just remember this: any vaxxx that injects the spike or means to make your body make the spikes are giving you Covid. Covid *is* the spike *is* Covid.

      AND:
      The unvaxxxed appear to have little problem with the Delta (how do they actually test for this in so many people?), but vaxxxed people react badly. That’s probably an indication of ADE, not of evolutionary pressure. We can hope and pray that we won’t see the heterodyning effect in humans that has been seen in chickens re Marek’s Disease. “Leaky” vaccines during an epidemic/pandemic are a stupid choice, but given how so many individually stupid choices have been and are being made on this issue, after a while I start thinking enemy action.

      If so, then are “they” *planning* on the heterodyning? Is the push for a certain percentage of vaxxxed in the population actually about protection, or (remember enemy action) is there a certain level of vaxxxination in the populace that has to be reached before the heterodyning can take place? Is that why “they” are pushing the vaxxxes so hard and have percentage goals to reach? I surely don’t know, but logically, it would seem that a certain minimum percentage of vaxxxed in the overall population would have to be reached for heterodyning to happen reliably. Fortunately, although I am watching for this effect, I *think* they will not reach the percentage level they appear to need. We can hope and pray they won’t.

      1. I hear so much about the mRNA type of “vaxxxes” and the adverse effects that happen now and possibly in the future. Why do I not hear more about the Johnson & Johnson “vaxxx”? There are less adverse reactions with it according to VAERS stats, from European stats and UK stats. Does it not have the same adverse reactions as the mRNA types or is it just not as readily available or have not that many people received the J & J so the adverse reaction numbers are less?
        I have read so many different reports on all of this that my mind starts spinning.
        I am interested in your statement Charlie “I am concerned enough that I am working with some serious scientists to get a temporal protocol in place to help ameliorate the worst of it.”
        Some understanding of it all would be great.

Thanks Beckita…just saw this now and I’m not going anywhere near that one either 😩 I spoke with a lady yesterday at the local health food store who I had spoken to months ago about Charlie and his message to humanity from God. She pulled me aside and asked me to tell her more e.g. like how long will this last, what happens next etc etc etc. I sent her Charlie’s last piece and the piece with fr Heilman to introduce her to Charlie and tomorrow I’ll send her the CoRaC.co link. But what had really bugged her out, was on the way to work she heard that the govt may go after non compliant anti-vaxers insurance!!!! Possibly raising our insurance and mike even said, gosh they could cancel us for not getting vaxed!!! I wonder if these are some of the “hard choices,” Charlie said would come 😩

They have lied so much in the last year – always certain, seldom right – that I will not take at face value anything they say anymore.       2. Does anyone know how or where to find a doctor who will prescribe ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine? I thought they were prohibited from doing so. The time to find such a doctor is before you come down with COVID. I would prefer to get COVID and then get aggressive treatment with one of these drugs than to take the vaccine.

          Please consider another perspective…
          There are people who desperately use hydroxycloroquine on a daily basis to treat Lupus or Sjogren’s. Some for many years. Did you know there was a shortage because of all this commotion last year? Trust God a bit more and allow these people the availability of their prescription medication.
          Also, the drug can lower your WBC, and needs to be monitored by a Rheumatologist for example. The big side effect is blindness & an eye exam is required before use.

As a Peace Corps volunteer in West Africa many years ago, I took a daily dose of hydroxycloroquine as a prophylactic against malaria because I lived in a highly infested area with malaria abounding. We, Peace Corps volunteers, were neither tested nor did we have any side effects whatsoever. Praying for all who suffer in any way, that the Lord, in His will for each one, meets the needs for better health.

    Bingo. I keep recalling 9/11 and how horrific that was to see evil unleashed like that. And then people as a whole came together and supported one another, and packed the churches. That lasted for what, 2-3 weeks? Then Bush announced we were bombing Afghanistan and the commercial airlines started flying again and everyone went back to normal and now I see how much further from God we are 20 years later and I ponder…what’s God going to let us endure now to really get us on our knees and turned back to him for generations? Hoo boy…one step at a time 🙂

  12. I don’t think I have read your writing and not been impressed that you are a clear thinker and a very good communicator. I’ve also found that you are often expressing the very thing I am thinking about, and I sometimes wonder at that. It has happened quite a few times.
    It may come down to timing. What happens when. Like everyone else, I have loved ones, many, who took the injection, my child for example, and many loved ones. It is a horrible, helpless feeling, we need to pray hard for God to protect them. There are other things we can do. There are resources and protocols, and we can gather those resources and have them ready for our loved ones. Please God it will not be necessary.
    States have rights. The military and how fascists use the military is an unknown. They are very busy emptying the military of people they don’t like, and now the injection mandate is in the works. Perhaps they prefer an emptied military. But that puts many military people at home, throughout the country.
    Sen. Rand Paul deserves a Man of the Year Award. Sen. Paul has stood head and shoulders above the rest in this hour of our need. Gov. Desantis of course, as well. We could use more. Please God, provide them.

        For years I have prayed for the Illumination of the hearts and minds of my daughter and her family. A few years ago when her husband got cancer, I thought, “This is it! Now they will repent and turn to God for help” — well they didn’t. It was always, “fingers crossed”– and it worked (in their minds) because her husband fully recovered after a horrendous year of chemo, etc. I, on the other hand, knew that it was the prayer warriors that I assembled, that stormed heaven for his healing.

        Recently, my 23yr old granddaughter tore her 3 hamstring tendons right off of her pelvis and required immediate surgery. Again, it was all “fingers crossed” for a good outcome. It saddens me so that they are still so flippant about things that are so serious. They are all vaxx’d and so far no side effects.

        I tremble for their salvation. I pray in unity with you Beckita: “So, yes, I think a lot of people are going to be bitten badly by this gene therapy “vaccine,” but I also think that all who took it in good faith and suffered serious adverse reactions before we knew how bad it would be will become martyrs to the Lord and will intercede for us both here and in heaven.     2. Look up almost any drug and you will find a listing for those who should not receive it because of x, y or z. But when you look up Covid vaxxxs on the CDC, they’re being touted as safe for virtually everyone. They are kind enough to put down that there’s not enough data to tell for some health concerns but basically go ahead, it should be safe.

      I unfortunately live in NYS and am watching what is going on with a sick heart and a sick stomach. I am a teacher and am waiting to hear if they are going to mandate the vaccine for staff. Quitting is no longer an option as health insurance, which I carry for the family, has become an unexpectedly crucial item. As an adult I believe I can qualify for a religious or medical exemption and my husband can get a religious one but I worry greatly about my teenager. In 2019 now ex-governor Cuomo signed into law the removal of the religious exemptions for K-12 students. We will have to pray about other options for education and for guidance.

      In the spring I was diagnosed with a rare form of non-curable (but manageable) lymphoma and last month with an autoimmune disease. Rare as in stastically your chance of getting this form of lymphoma is 1 in about 250,000. I now feel that God has truly blessed me with both conditions on many levels. So many have truly awful problems (health, family, etc) and my health problems are small potatoes in comparison. We (myself included) often do not see His plan but we need to remember that His plan will always be perfect and to trust in Him. He’s got this. 😊

        1. Thank you so much for the prayers! They are greatly appreciated. Linda, if I could I would move in a heartbeat. We have talked of moving. Ohio is one of the places we’ve looked at as I have a brother outside of Cleveland and the Cleveland Clinic is one of the treatment centers for my cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. My teaching license is transportable to many states but my husband’s professional license is not. Our parents live near us and are in their eighties; we know that they will require help sooner rather than later. I started topical chemotherapy in April which is ridiculously expensive (talk about over priced pharmaceuticals) and will be meeting with the rheumatologist to formulate a game plan for the lupus. The health insurance has become a key factor as the chemo drug is not covered by all plans. I think the most important part of this is that I just do not feel called at this time to move. Maybe the Lord has a need for us in New York. I pray for discernment. I pray that we are open to do whatever He wants and go wherever He leads. His will be done.

  18. Charlie, thanks for these last few posts coming so rapidly here. They have been helpful and heartening. Not that the content is rainbows and roses, but that my own musings are affirmed. When you know a fight is coming, it’s good to know ahead of time that you’ve got compatriots.

    For some reason, I decided to re-read Isaac Asimov’s “Foundation” series this summer. From the first time I read the books decades ago, they have always been among my favorite novels. The series premise is the decline and fall of the “Galactic Empire”. Asimov also delves into comparative studies of various types of societies, and the use of tactics by the ruling elite to foment racial/class division to keep the masses busy fighting each other instead of uniting against tyranny. I am finding so many parallels it isn’t funny, but reading your post today, Charlie, confirms what I have been thinking deeply about while reading.
    My sister and I were talking yesterday about how we are strongly feeling this cognitive dissonance, and how it is so difficult to counter normalcy bias–that desire and belief that things will just quiet down and return to normal–though of course we didn’t mention the terminology. It is so difficult to describe, but surreal comes close. How we still go about our lives pretty normally, taking the kids to the park, homeschooling, etc, but how we also just want to drop everything that seems usual and normal like that and use all our time to “prepare” physically (so I can continue to care for my family), spiritually. Well, I just feel a bit stretched trying to do both the normal activities and the preparations. I know that whatever I am able to do, God can work with–just have to keep remembering TNRS.
    Please keep us in your prayers–the kids have been bickering a lot; could be the heat we’ve had here lately. And for safe travels for my oldest who is going back to college in a week.

It may be the heat, or it may be the fact that all of us (even the youngest) sense that we are currently living in a pressure cooker that is about the blow. My suggestions: Deep breaths, Hail Marys, and lots of ice cream (or cute Hallmark movies; it’s a toss-up)! 🙂

    I think Mr. Taunton really misses the mark here.

    I don’t think most Christians are unwilling to engage in the western Kulturkampf (culture war) because they are cowardly “men without chests” who have “never known war”, and because they prefer their own private comforts to a struggle for a greater, Christian victory. Rather, they don’t fight because they sincerely don’t know why they should fight. It’s an intellectual problem, not a moral problem.

    The leftist cultural warriors are not known for their hyper masculinity; the reason they fight so fiercely is their conviction that the fight is worth having, and that it must be fought. Christians, precisely as Christians, have no idea why they should engage in this fight, or why it must be fought. And it’s not because Christians don’t deplore millions of aborted children; it’s because they’ve internalised the grammar of liberal society so much that they no longer feel they even have a right to engage in cultural or political battles on any religious ground. Mr. Taunton is asking Christians to fight, but he should know that increasingly the only Christians that will be willing to fight for cultural and political Christianity, are the radical right sort of Christian (and they are small but very quickly growing number among the youth) who would like to abolish Liberal society altogether and institute a kind of pre-Enlightenment era, Christian monarchy or quasi-theocracy. Is that the fight The American Spectator wishes for on behalf of Christians?

    The Liberal consensus is falling apart and giving way to various kinds of radicalism; the only thing that would give right wing Christians the courage of conviction to fight the political battle in a modern Liberal battleground, and in a coherent and comprehensive way, is a firmly reactionary program that would seriously question, or do away with altogether, the foundational (Liberal) principles of society for the last 200-250 yrs.

    Now most Christians are as yet unwilling to go that far, because they know implicitly that it would sooner or later involve wholesale war and violence against their enemies, a revival of the middle ages and the spirit of the crusades. The days when Christians could comfortably inhabit a Conservative space and smugly chide the liberals for their lack of good Christian morals, is completely over. Now they either have to take up the sword (the machine gun), like the brave and self-sacrificing jihadists of Islam, or they have to abandon the Christian culture and political establishment of a thousand years and retire to their own little enclaves, the proverbial catacombs or whatever. Now the reason most Christians are unwilling to be jihadists (crusaders) is that they have a strong, creeping suspicion that the medieval settlement of the Church with political power was an evil and worldly compromise that never should have occurred. Indeed, the whole American revolution lends itself quite well to that interpretation, with its separation of church and state.

    So the question that really needs to be asked here, in the light of the collapse of Christian conservatism and the radical unfolding of the inner logic of Liberalism, is do Christians have a God-given, Christ-mandated duty to take up arms and fight, maim, and kill en masse thousands or even millions of non-Christians in order to reestablish the reign of Christendom, just like the jihadists have from their prophet and for their religious empire? Because if we Christians don’t have that right, then what’s the point of fighting these skirmishes of the culture wars when the very logic of Liberal society entails that Christians will always (politically) lose? That’s why these Christian pastors don’t enter this fight. They know either that it’s a losing battle, or that to win they’d have to go to a radical extreme they can’t religiously justify.

    I don’t think Mr. Taunton really knows what he’s asking for.

      You have posted a significant intellectual poiint of view. Though, I believe you have missed the point… thankfully you posted this on the Feast of a great Catholic Saint: St. Lawrence.

      St Lawrence viewed the wealth of the church far differently than the Roman empire, in fact quite differently than our society of prosperity. Saint Sixtus & Companions were executed a few days prior to his death as the Roman empire decreed no Christian services were allowed. Sixtus, Pope Sixtus, celebrated mass in a cemetary and was soon beheaded. Lawrence, being a Deacon, known by the Empire to hold the “money bag” of the Catholic Church decreed for him to deliver the wealth of the church to Rome. Lawrence delivered the poor, indiginent, exiles etc. He was summarily executed.

      A quote:
      “…is a firmly reactionary program that would seriously question, or do away with altogether, the foundational (Liberal) principles of society for the last 200-250 yrs.” I would replace “Liberal” with {Christian}.

      We, here in America, lived a life of Christian-Judao values. For the most part, we are moving away from this… I believe this was a distinct part of Charlies journey across America on foot. To realize, in essence, America is good and strives to serve God. When events get turbulent America rises to the occasion and helps their neighbor. Perhaps this is why the current regime power are transporting “illegal aliens” throughout our Country; to disrupt.

    I must add that I recently contracted Covid on July 17, 2021. It took 11 days, but I am fully recovered thanks to prayer and early treatment protocol, i.e. Ivermectin, Fluvoxamine, Azithromycin, prednisone, Budesonide, aspirin, Melatonin, Vitamin D3 (megadose 50,000iu daily during the duration of symptoms…like Dr. Stock talks about and SteveBC suggests), Vitamin C, Vitamin B (Thiamine), NAC, Selenium, Quercetin, zinc, H2O2 nebulizer treatments (as recommended by Dr. Mercola and SteveBC). It took a combination of these therapies. I started as soon as the symptoms showed up. I didn’t wait for the results of a test. I had all medications and nebulizers on hand to start my early treatment immediately. As SteveBC says, “Immediacy is Life!”

    I also want to thank CORAC’s own SteveBC for his Covid treatment paper with his preventative and early treatment protocol. I highly recommend everyone to read it. I attribute the two (FLCCC and SteveBC’s) protocols and prayer for my successful recovery. I used Steve’s supplement suggestions especially. I am 67 years old and overweight, so I am very grateful and pleased to have come out of this, fully recovered, in such short amount of time. My husband is taking longer to recover his breathing and energy level, but with time I know he will also get back to normal. He has more co-morbidities, i.e. heart disease, overweight, former 30 year smoker, so his lungs will be slower to recover. We have not nor will we ever get the experimental Covid jabs. We now have natural immunity to the coronaviruses plus variants. But in the event that we do get “something” else, we will do the early treatments again. We’ll maintain our health with the supplements.

    I think one of the advantages that I had is that I have my vitamin D level checked via blood test routinely. I consistently measure in the high 90’s or sometimes higher. As mentioned in Dr. Stock’s video, this had a great impact on me staying out of the hospital. I take large amounts of Vitamin D3 daily. This is something cheap and easy for everyone to do now.

    A friend of ours who is 15 years younger, slender, and exercises regularly, got Covid at the same time we did. She was out of town at the time. We thought she would breeze through it, but that is not what happened. She spent 11 out of 14 days in ICU. Like Dr. Kory mentions, this is a disease that goes in stages. First, there is a viral stage, and then a pulmonary stage. It’s the pulmonary stage with potential pneumonia or blood clotting that is the most dangerous. For our friend, she came down with a pulmonary embolism and Covid pneumonia. She could not keep her oxygen levels up due to this embolism. Our friend has made it through, but she will have to have portable oxygen for awhile as she fully recovers. It may take a couple of months for her lungs to get back to baseline, her doctor says.

    I write this in the hope that my experience with Covid and suggestions of what I did to recover will benefit others. Again, I want to thank SteveBC for publishing his research and suggestions for preventative and early treatment protocols. They were life-saving for us!

I forgot to mention that prior to my husband and I getting Covid, we were on preventative regimens of hydroxychloroquine with all the supplements like Quercetin, Zinc, Vitamin D3, Vitamin C, NAC, etc, since last year March 2020, then more recently, Ivermectin and supplements that are recommended by FLCCC, Dr. Zelenko, Frontline Doctors, and SteveBC. And we still got Covid.

      Dr. Stock addresses this in the video as to why. It’s the viral load shedding spike protein from the vaccinated that is probably causing the surge in the Covid cases of the vaccinated and the unvaccinated.

      If I can ask, did you use prescribed IVM or the vet kind? I’m reading more people are turning to the vet IVM. If anyone is out there using these kinds, please let us know how you are faring on them. Any side effects, etc?? I know CrewDog mentioned one he found. Crewdog, are you taking it now? If so, how’s it going?

      I’m looking into the site Charlie suggests, but am wondering if I even need to since I already have the vet one (I haven’t tried it yet….I’m a chicken, I admit it!!). I also wonder about whether we need HCQ if we are already taking Quercetin?? Any wise counsel….I sure do need it!

      I purchased Budesonide nasal spray. I also am looking into mouthwashes. A small study I read said that Listerine and another Rx mouthwash (I used it after my dental implant surgery) helped with CVD. Trying to cover all….though “Jesus, I trust in you” needs to be at the top of my health arsenal. God help me!

      2. So glad that you asked me these questions, Becky. Last January 2021, our vet alerted us about taking the vet-type Ivermectin and the appropriate dosage. He said that his whole staff routinely took this Ivermectin every week as their preventative protocol. And I know that Ann Barnhardt has a whole section on her blog about this method of taking Ivermectin. We have cows, so we had the product already. (But, I understand your hesitation in trying it. I was at first, but after my first dose, it was really no big deal, especially after our vet gave it to his whole staff without any problems.)

        However, inspite of taking this type if Ivermectin once a week as a preventative, my husband and I still ended up with Covid. It is because the vet-type Ivermectin in its recommended animal dosage at 1% Ivermectin, as noted on the label, is a substantially lower dose that you would get if you took the prescribed Ivermectin in tablet form. The prescribed Ivermectin is in 3mg pills. And the dosage is according to your weight. For instance, I took 5 pills daily and my husband took 9 pills. So I would defnitely get a prescription for Ivermectin pills to take as a preventative, and to take as early treatment should you get Covid. The Frontline Doctors in a telemedicine consultation can set you up with this and recommend a pharmacy to fill the prescription. I’ve heard that sometimes people can get a doctor to prescribe Ivermectin, but the big box pharmacy won’t fill it.

        As for your question about HCQ or Quercetin, it is my understanding that Quercetin acts as an ionophore like HCQ in gaining access for Zinc to get into the cells in order to disrupt the virus. Quercetin or HCQ is the gun, and Zinc is the bullet. There may be different characteristics of HCQ or Quercetin in their treatment of Covid, but essentially they are basically the same in terms of acting as an ionophore for Zinc. So if you can’t get the HCQ, then get the Quercetin. The FLCCC recommends Quercetin and Zinc now with Ivermectin for preventative and early Covid treatment.

        I don’t know how much your Budesonide nasal spray will help for early treatment. It is really the prescription Budesonide Nebulizer treatments that will do the most help in getting down deep into your lungs to treat the pulmonary effects of Covid. If you can’t get the Budesonide Nebulizer treatments, then look into Dr. Mercola’s hydrogen peroxide treatments. He may have it still on his website on how to do these treatments. But, he has been persecuted by the Biden admin, so he was forced to remove a lot of his blog posts. He does have this method in his book, “All about Covid 19.”

        Hope this helps you. You are wise to be prepared. I would recommend getting a nebulizer, too.

        Also make sure you get your Vitamin D levels checked. Optimum level to stay out of the hospital from Covid is 60ng/mL to 80ng/mL. If its below that, start taking Vitamin D3. As much ad 5,000iu to 10,000iu to 20,000iu daily until you get it up to optimum level.

          I got over my weird nervousness and went ahead and contacted AFD. I filled out the form and am waiting on a call back. I also have the vet IVM.

          In June, my D3 serum level was 61 on 3000iu D3 supplement. I decided to bump my D3 an additional 1000iu. This doesn’t count what I already get in my multi-vitamin. Others need to get their D3 level checked before starting/upping their supplements. I’m going to continue with the Quercetin and Zinc that Steve suggest. I also started the mouth gargles with the mouthwashes that FLCCC suggest. Their latest video was very helpful and informative.

          If I could ask for prayers….for courage for doctors to remember why they became doctors….To step out in faith and to just try more options. This is a very personal intention.

      You were the person who mentioned the Budesonide aspect. Did you use that, and do you think it helped? Did your husband use it? Did both of you essentially do the same things or different things, or do you think your different outcomes was only from the existing co-morbidities?

      I’ve come across an interesting little device that can help people recover lung function. It exercises the lung muscles and appears to help people get some flexibility back. Your husband might like to give it a try. It’s available here:

We know this knowledge kept us out of the hospital and helped us fully recover. We are eternally grateful to you!

        To your question, about the Budesonide, yes, we talked our doctor into prescribing it for us so that we would have it on hand to use it immediately at the start of any symptoms. And, yes, the Budesonide helped our oxygen levels and our breathing immensely. One night on Day 7, my oxygen % meter registered 91. That was getting low. I did a Budesonide treatment, and it brought it up to a 96. We would alternate the treatments between the Mercola H2O2 treatments with the Budesonide treatments.

        To your other question, yes, essentially, my husband and I did exactly the same treatments, supplement dosages, and medications. I was two days ahead of him in terms of symptoms. I believe it is the difference in our co-morbitities as to why it is taking my husband’s breathing longer to get back to pre-Covid level. My guess is his former 30 year smoking habit that is the difference, even though he stopped smoking in 1996.

        I think also the addition of Fluvoxamine helped me immensely. It is recommended by the FLCCC early treament protocol. Dr. Pierre Kory of the FLCCC and Steve Kirsch of TrialSiteNews said that Fluvoxamine can pass through the blood brain barrier, whereas Ivermectin cannot, and it is a stong anti-inflammatory and eliminates the brain fog that people have during Covid. My first symptom was the brain fog. This brain fog told me I had Covid and not just a regular flu or cold. It is the same brain fog I had when I was 35 with chicken pox. I’ll never forget it. And even though Fluvoxamine is a SSCI, it is a small dose, and it is for only 10 to 14 days at the onset of symptoms. This medication made a big difference for me.

        The medication that has made a difference for my husband’s breathing snd shortness of breath has been Albuterol nebulizer treatments. His doctor prescribed Albuterol treatments when the Budesonide and H2O2 treatments became ineffective. He’s still doing these treatments still everyday.

        We will definitely look into looking at what you recommend get his lung function back. Will let you know how it goes.

The spike is very nasty, and anyone who gets Covid is at risk of clot issues and a few other items for months after recovery. And if you are in the green on all of them (based on your medical history), you’ll be able to know that for sure and relax.

But I have to disagree on a point you made: “In the Civil War, the Confederate states sought to overthrow the authority of the system of government whose levers of power they did not control.” This is not true. The Confederate States did not want to overthrow the current government. They wanted to secede and form their own country which they did lawfully and peacefully by voting through their state legislatures whether or not to secede. The states which seceded saw the North as trampling the Constitution ( an opinion also of some Northern politicians). The South was invaded to force them back into the Union.

    Robert E. Lee realized: “The consolidation of the States into one vast empire, sure to be aggressive abroad and despotic at home, will be the precursor of ruin which has overwhelmed all that preceded it..”

        1. I don’t know… the more I think on this the Southern states were correct in protesting and separating themsleves from the Union. They were not united with the other states. Yet, Lincoln was right in the war and forcing the states to remain in the Union.

          Case in point: look to the United States of Mexico (USM). Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, San Salvatore were at one time all “States within Mexico. They requested and were allowed to leave the USM to form their own Countries.

          Had Lincoln allowed the Southern States to secede, we would not be a nation now. Thus, we now reap the “Federalism” attributes.

          It all comes back to Dred Scott and the Supreme Court. A decision still remaining and not recinded except thru the Civil War. We need to readdress and emphatically declare Humans are NOT Property. This IS the issue for our current time and shall usher in litigation preserving ALL human life, born and unborn.

    I would respectfully disagree with Charlie on this comment of his. I believe that it grieves God, the BVM, all the angels and saints that many are hastening their own destruction by playing with the devil.

    I don’t know if what follows is just crazy writing of mine.

    The transgender movement, rampant homosexuality and abortion are all methods that the devil is using to get humans to worship him.

    The devil is a creature but NOT created in the image and likeness of God. All the devils as well as all the angels are genderless; they are neither male nor female. They also do not have any ability to procreate.

    Humans are creatures and ARE created in the image and likeness of God. Humans, in addition, are male and female. Genesis 1:27 “In the beginning, God created man in His own image; male and female He created them.” as Charlie wrote above.

    Because of the rabid hatred and despair of the devil for God, the devil wishes to suborn humans into creating a genderless society, a society made in the image of the devil. Then this genderless society could worship the devil.

    Abortion, contraception and sterilization are methods that humans can use to become like the devil in being non-procreative.

  32. Asking for continued prayers for my nephew to be able to come home from South Korea. He hasn’t been able to come home for two years now. I got a notice saying that Rep. Bill Torres (D-NY) has sponsored a bill directed to the House-Homeland Security Committee. In it, he is asking that Homeland Security be directed to ensure that any individual traveling on a flight that departs from or arrives to an airport inside the United States or a territory of the United States , is fully vaxxxed against C-19, or for other reasons.

    I am not surprised, but I am worried and saddened in thinking I may not see my nephew again. I know I am not alone in this suffering among all of you. I will continue to pray for all of you, for everything. Thank you.

  36. Things are looking worrisome here in Ontario. Even though our premier has said No Vaccine Passports, I am sure he will cave under pressure eventually. As our case numbers begin to rise again (this will be the 4th wave), they are saying it is all the unvaccinated in the hospitals right now. I think that will change soon as the new variants hit our mostly vaccinated population.

    At present, I am concerned for my husband’s job because he got a letter from his employer today (a pharmaceutical company) saying that they are asking for voluntary disclosure of vaccination status and if you disclose that you are vaxxed, then they want proof. If you do not voluntarily disclose your status, you will be considered unvaccinated and the company has a duty to protect their vaxxed employees from the unvaxxed by taking appropriate measures to prevent possible transmission of Covid from the unvaxxed. They don’t mention what measures. I guess the writing is in the wall. My husband is not getting vaxxed and it is just a matter of time before he is fired or forced to retire early. Likely, my husband will have to take early retirement and draw from his company pension plan and then work part-time somewhere to make up the difference. We still have 4 dependants so he will have to work. I trust in God to work things out for his glory, but the situation stinks nonetheless.

    Even with this stressful work situation, I feel very blessed that my 4 adult children and their spouses are all anti-Covid vax. I don’t know how God worked this out as all my adult children are non-practicing Catholics and quite worldly. I suppose their skeptical and non-conforming personalities are a plus in this situation. They don’t like being told what to do! 😂 Isn’t it extraordinary that God has taken their contrary natures and preserved them from possible vaccine harm. That being said, I am grieved to report that my mom, grandmother and pretty much all my aunts/uncles/cousins have taken the jab. I hold fast to Charlie’s words that nothing is lost in God’s economy and that He will work things out for the good. All I can say is Jesus, have mercy on us! Jesus, I trust in you! God help us!

  39. The Voris article is enlightening but we should be mindful of the mindfield the bishops have to navigate these days. If they were expected to boldly confront those who can remove them knowing they will be by doing so, is this prudent or even helpful to the situation? There would be NO “good” bishops left to balance the field!
    The Catechism of the Catholic Church (#1782) teaches:
    “Man has the right to act in conscience and in freedom so as personally to make moral decisions. “He must not be forced to act contrary to his conscience. Nore must he be prevented from acting according to his conscience, especially in religious matters.”
    This should be paramount for the office of a prelate who must descern many things while navigating what to do to successfully Shepard his flock.
    There are scriptural passages about
    juggling between sinners and the faithful; “Do not break the bruised reed or quench the smoldering wick”.
    ” Do not pull the weeds for you may uproot the wheat along with it”, etc.
    If a bishop seems to be capitulating with evil, how often is he just tending his flock in crisis? Pope Francis calling these days of faith a “field hospital” seems fairly accurate to me and the bishops are on the front lines.
    We do not “control” what God wills but only what we will. God is in charge and we are to do our part and He makes sufficient where we lack. A good bishop knows this and if in “good conscience” he makes a decision who are we to condem him for not getting himself martyred. This is akin to calling christians who, for centuries, hid out in the catacombs in order to survive “cowards of faith”. One could complain these early Christians did not properly evangelize because they sought to hide away because they were afraid and thus ineffective. And were the many bishops among them ineffective too?
    Isn’t the church is still here?

    1. This is an important perspective to bring into discernment, Phillip. As I ponder that approach, I think it’s too cautious and filled with fear about the what ifs, should the bishops continue on the destructive path which they have taken for SO many years.

      I do believe that Michael Voris is right on target in his assessment that too many bishops are playing with the devil. We are where we are because too many bishops are either actively engaged in the rot which has plagued our Church in her Passion Time or they have turned a blind eye – and I would imagine this is so for many reasons, in addition to preserving their positions.

      By virtue of answering the call to priesthood – and we know every bishop and cardinal is a priest who has been given greater responsibility and influence: “No one takes [my life] from me, but I lay it down of my own accord” (John 10:18). As Jesus Christ freely laid down his life, the priest makes the free choice to answer the call for a life of self-donation. At ordination, he is consecrated for those that God will give him. And following the example of St. Peter and the Lord on the Sea of Tiberius, the priest must follow the command of Jesus Christ to “Feed my sheep” (John 21:17). As each priest is the recipient of this prayer of Jesus Christ, so too is he the collaborator in feeding the flock, which belongs fully and rightly to God. Being called by name to align his identity to Christ, accepting the call to offer his life as a sacrifice for souls, and tending the flock of God, the priest enters sacramentally and existentially into the prayer of Jesus Christ.” (Taken from remarks made by Fr.       I am in the camp of Catholics who are sick to death of the games which have been played by clerics – no matter their place in the hierarchy – to cover their tushes rather than to live in a manner wherein they lay down their lives for their flocks while preaching and living the Teachings of Jesus Christ.

      Oh how I yearn for holy boldness among our prelates! I imagine those bishops and cardinals who are orthodox and faithful banding together, in humility, and proclaiming a time of sackcloth and ashes – however they discern that would look in our contemporary world (proclaiming a National Rosary Crusade would be potently fitting, among other forms of making reparation) – and being the first ones to publicly kneel before the Lord and seek pardon for their sins of commission and omission, then, rising from prayer and walking in Truth which they freely proclaim, including fraternally correcting those who are in danger of losing their souls and pulling other souls into the pit with them. Such acts, made in humility and truth, would surely draw down blessings from the Lord. They would remove the barrier of deception, allowing Christ’s Light to cleanse, heal and restore the brokenness.

        1. My point was NOT about those that lack integrity but about those that do not lack it, the “good bishops” who are managing the mind fields of Apostolic discernment which we laymen know nothing about.
          I think Voris leans a little too hard on those good bishops particularly since he does not wear their shoes and never will. (And neith will most of us here).
          I’m not giving anyone a pass who purposely betray their flock but I do suppose Voris isn’t realistic about what goes on between the prelates during internal exchanges but hears talk and opinions by nonprelates then suggests they go down in flames rather than continue to sail through the mind fields in this valley of tears.
          Dom Bosco had a dream of this very war and didn’t verbally punish those that did their best trying to stay afloat dispite the ships sinking all around them. They were not on yachts drinking tea but doing their best to stay with the barc of Peter as their peers were being sunk left and right. This is what I believe they are experiencing and we should remember that they tread arenas few of us would dread to even try much less ever be called too nore have the capacity to even imagine accurately.

  40. Just in: Kaiser Permanente hospital just said you can’t visit a doctor, etc without being fully vaxx’d OR take a covid test within 72hrs of appt and be negative.

    I avoid doctors and hospitals like the plague anyway, but this is insane. I will switch over to another insurance in Sept — one where I can see private “sane” doctors (hopefully).

    1. Child sex abuse IS horrific and must be addressed and stopped with people held to account for such crimes. However, there is a caveat concerning those in some sectors who say they are revealing the depravity and extensiveness of these crimes. Charlie did some research and has spoken to it during his visits in the eastern part of the country. If Judge Jeanine is rehashing the alleged Pizzagate stuff, she’s on a track found to be filled with falsehoods and exaggerations and planted by the Left to rile people up and distract them.

    1. Love St. Clare and love the way you share special gems connected to the saint of the day, Maggie. When I was in Assisi after an earthquake which damaged the cathedral that had been erected in St. Clare’s name, a shop owner brought out something special for me. It was a manger crafted from wood which had been inside the cathedral, but was cleared away as debris and the shop owner himself was the one who had made that manger holding the Christ Babe. My favorite St. Clare story is about the defense of her sisters which was accomplished by holding Eucharistic Jesus high to deter the invaders.
