A dark pall shrouds the earth these days. People can feel and hear the ice of harmony cracking beneath their feet. All are tottering precariously at the rim of raw panic. Every one of the institutions we used to rely on has turned traitor. All shiver in anticipatory fear. What rough beast has been unleashed against us? When will it strike? Who shall be able to stand?

My dear friends, bad things are happening throughout the world and worse things are coming. It is with no little bemusement that I have watched what I say characterized as fearmongering eight or nine years ago now characterized as a lack of awareness of how bad things are – and I have been consistent in what I have said all along. When I spoke of the great storm coming suddenly upon us, did some of you think I was offering a remedy to make it pass over? When I repeatedly told you to gird your loins did you think I was preparing you for a gentle rest? I was trying to prepare you for a monumentally great crisis, a crisis that is now upon us. Our global civil war fought on cultural lines is here. Will we turn to God and truth or slouch on into bloody pagan darkness?

I spoke of something far more than the storm, though. I spoke of the rescue, the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart. The only reason I spoke at all was to assure you that this was not the end and that God was calling you to be His hands and feet on earth in this great confrontation between good and evil. Heaven knows, I made enough errors, both of interpretation and timing. But on the greater sweep of things, I have told you true with consistent fidelity and fortitude. I erred grievously in interpreting the rescue as an event rather than a process, but can you not see the rescue in progress right now, just waiting for you to take up your apportionment in it?

Perhaps you fear that I was right about the storm and my deadly accurate description of it but am wrong about this not being the end. What good does that do? If there is no God or if He has abandoned us, we are done whatever we do, killed or consigned to a new and dark pagan tyranny. But God IS. I believe He has been preparing me since age seven and sent me to tell you what He wants of you in this storm, which is actually His renewing of the faith and face of the earth. If you cower in fear, you will die trembling on your knees as a victim. If you make your stand, you may die, but it will be in service to the Lord of Hosts in His great renewal of the earth. Thus, you will take your place among the white-robed army of martyrs – and then intercede on behalf of those of us left behind to finish the great battle of renewal. And your children and grandchildren will live in peace and brotherhood because of your sacrifice – and call you blessed down to the last generation.

I know that, on the eve of battle, soldiers are anxious and wired up for the trial ahead. It grieves me that some people I respect, who should be fortifying you for the confrontation, have let their own fears get the best of them and, so, are inflaming yours. I was deeply disheartened that when Fr. Leon, Chaplain for English Speaking People in Medjugorje, gently reported a call for a Novena for Peace, it became a cause for panicked urgency among many who should be the sober soldiers of God. Pray for them and us all, that we find courage to take our place in God’s ranks against the powers and principalities which have infected the world’s “leaders.” I know that some are obsessively telling you ‘words of knowledge’ and speaking of ersatz apparitions to explain how God is going to exempt you from the vicissitudes of the storm. I know that every time I drive off that the fullness of the storm may break and I may not get back as I planned. But I also know that God knows where I am at all times – and wherever I am when the fullness breaks, it will be where God intends me to be. And then I will be called NOT to wring my hands and cry, “Oh woe is me,” but to ask God what He intends for me from where I am at – and then endeavor to live His charge as best I can. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for I trust He is with me – and whatever befalls me is for the good of His Kingdom and His people.

I tell you there is no exemption for anyone from this great storm. We have brought it upon ourselves by our faithlessness and complacency. If it were not for God, it would be the end of all our hopes and our children’s futures. But God is merciful and loves us. He will not spare us the consequences of our actions now as He has for at least over a century. It has only caused us to become more arrogant in our certainty that we are the titans and captains of our fate. What He is doing for us is giving us the chance to work in His service in this great confrontation, both as penance for our complacency and an opportunity for renewed and joyful fidelity. We are made for eternity. Our life on this earth is a mere breath compared to our life in eternity – and yet it is this life which will determine whether we will joyfully spend eternity with Him or agonizingly spend it separated from Him. Now, a great wind is gathering force across the globe. It is the wind of the Holy Spirit, which goes where He will. He is sent to purify and renew the face of the earth.

Those who tell you how this storm will pass over or how God will exempt you are deceiving you, perhaps because they have deceived themselves. God is inviting you to participate with Him in the second greatest story ever told. Without the comfort of false illusions, take up your cross, gird up your loins, and fall into rank. His truth is marching on.

If communication goes out for any length of time, meet outside your local Church at 9 a.m. on Saturday mornings. Tell friends at Church now in case you can’t then. CORAC teams will be out looking for people to gather in and work with.

  2. We need the encouragement, Charlie, since we are pretty weak humans. At least I speak for myself! No matter that I give myself each day to the Lord and Mama to mold me, there is trepidation when I think of certain things, including our grown children and grandchildren and whether we’ll see them again. (We are separated by many miles.) 😢

    Still waiting to order “the plan” you’ve produced for us. 🙂

  11. I suspect that many are thinking that they will be led to a place of refuge to avoid the storm? What is the thought on refuges?

    1. Many people are establishing refuges, which may very well be important headquarters and communications centers for people. But angels will NOT lead you to them, there will be NO glowing Eucharists in people’s foreheads, and the deer will NOT docilely lay down for you to slaughter or drop dead at your feet. That is just the Catholic version of some Protestants’ story of the Rapture. Good little boys and girls will NOT be exempted from the trials because there are no good little boys and girls. Most here have never actively attacked the faith but we have utterly failed to defend the faith effectively. This is our opportunity to prove we love God by caring for each other and our neighbors in crisis. This is why I so admire those who have made provisions now to help those who made need it later. They are showing that they mean it about serving God and their fellows.

      1. For what little it may be worth, I share my aged perspective.

        There was God and only God. Got is infinitely creative and set about exploring what may be. God created the company of spirits, angels, people, animals, plants and their environment as the world of light, Heaven. His Heaven was entirely peaceful and loving; no stress, no needs, no unfulfilled desires. And His creatures, existing in pure bliss, could have no sense of the magnificence of His love for them and the joy of their Heavenly existence. Then God created the material world in which suffering unfulfilled needs and wants was the natural order; in this world, spirit attached to mortal body to experience the opportunities for spiritual growth made possible by the harshness of mortal life. So, this material world we live in contrasts by design with Heaven and its blissful nature.

        During the time on Earth (there is no time running in Heaven, just an eternal now) when the Romans conquered much of the world, humanity was living in despair over their punishing treatment of the masses, the Godless brutality of Roman authority. God could not reveal directly that mortal life was a temporary affair designed to enable spiritual development, for then life would merely be tolerated instead of lived. Christ came here to give humanity hope in a heavenly existence without saying exactly that life here was designed for spiritual growth.

        Unfortunately, the Pope has forfeited any ability to generate hope by testifying to God’s love for His Creation. Charlie serves today to renew our hope.

  20. This prayer request from our reader, Joe, came through today and I’m bringing it here in the event that people may miss it in the Prayer Request part of this blog:

    Hi all,

    I have 9 children and my wife is expecting our 10th. About a month ago we got some blood test results back and there is a 99% chance our baby has Down syndrome. We just had a big echo-cardiogram today and there might be a small hole in the septum between the two lower heart chambers. If it is there it is so small that the cardiologist isn’t even sure. Everything else looked good. So all-in-all a very good report. If you could keep our family and the baby in your prayers we would greatly appreciate it. We can’t wait for the baby to be born and love all over the little punkin’.

    1. There are so many new alleged messages which have emerged in recent years, Crew Dog, that it would be a full time job properly vetting them. Leading up to where we now find ourselves, the authentic messages served the purpose to remind people to live the Gospel and to particularly pray for people to make a return to the Lord. The Catechism of the Catholic Church stresses that the impetus of public private revelation is to call people back to God in a time when many have fallen away.

      I did a quick search on John Martinez and, far from being a proper vetting, I did find this excerpt which is a mega red flag as these words, too, convey that the good guys are granted a “get out of jail free” card so that they can bypass the vicissitudes of the Storm. Truth is, we ALL need to be purified.

      One of my favorite hymn lines comes to mind:
      “We all have secret fears to face,
      Our minds and motives to amend.
      We seek Your truth,
      We need your grace,
      Our living Lord and present friend.”

      Martinez’s alleged message excerpt: “As I was praying in front of the Blessed Sacrament: Our Blessed Mother appeared to me in a locution. In prayer, I was lifted up into the sky. It seemed like I was in space or near the moon; I could see the earth completely black. I asked Our Lady why the earth was completely black. She responded that the BLACKNESS was the SIN of man covering the earth. As we were dropping down towards the earth I saw small white lights in various parts of the earth. The largest was in the Texas Hill Country. She told me that these white lights were Refuges that She was preparing to protect God’s children from all the evil that would surround us. She told me that the black areas would be destroyed, and that the world had to be cleaned before the coming of her Son The refuges were for God’s people that were to enter into a New Era Of Peace. She showed me and continued to explain what was needed to prepare for the Refuges!”

      To be clear, a LOT people mean so well when they tell of their messages received. This is not an assessment of John Martinez the person, but a discernment of his alleged message.

  32. Someone pointed out to me that Joe (and Jill) want to stay in the Ex. Office so that he can pardon their son. Therefore, he will not go easily since there is at least one case yet to be tried. As far as replacing him at this late date, from what I have read, there seem to be a lot of problems with being able to do that. I think that he has to actually agree to walk off the ticket. At least the real truth was revealed to the world on June 27th. The media cannot hide it from anyone now because the debate was a true disaster, definitively showing age issues (or worse) and I think that most world leaders already knew it. It seems to me that this is an exceedingly dangerous time for the world because it is apparent to all our enemies that the Oval Office is worse than empty. Joe is demonstrating dementia and a muddled mind. Suspicions are now confirmed. James Carville, the Democratic strategist, has now turned on Biden. He says that Biden does not have advisors. Rather he has employees. Axios says that there is a small circle of Biden’s closest allies:  his wife, Jill; Valerie Biden, his sister; and Ted Kaufman, his longtime friend, are ultimately the “only Biden deciders.” This is a stunning admission and it is tragic.

    1. It seems to me that anyone who’s been watching Biden during his occupation time as Pres, has seen an abundance of examples of what became clearly obvious throughout the debate. Me thinks there’s a take-over soup a’stirring. On the one hand, those who have clung to a blind spot concerning the state of Brandon are frightened beyond belief at what they have wrought in voting him in with his minions and their policies. On the other hand, all of us see the numbers turning out at Trump rallies and the stats and videos about Latinos, Blacks and now former Democrats declaring they’ll be voting for Trump – including those who still despise his style. The movers and shakers behind Brandon are – with the media on board as ever – about the work of getting rid of Brandon by presenting a facade of events which justify pulling in a different candidate this year. Of course, there’s always Plan B or Plan C, each involving an all out, overt grab for power – no more soft coups for them as this is their existential moment. Taking full control is now or never and they c.a.n.n.o.t. lose.

          Imo, it’s not that they didn’t have a plan for the disaster, it’s that his handlers planned the disaster. They sent him out there without the Adderall – and whatever other cocktail of amphetamines – knowing full well the world would see Joe ‘as is’. There could be multiple reasons why.

          1. Drugged up Joe turns into furrowed brow, clinched fists, squinting angry shouting Dark Brandon. They knew Trump would be more restrained this time having learned from previous debates and the muted mic rule. The contrast would be horrible for Joe.
          2. Biden’s cratering poll numbers were intolerable. Handlers would rather roll the dice with a different candidate than to go into November down by 10pts. or more.

          Anyhoo, these are just a couple of my thoughts. Yeah, the DNC is in a pickle but is it really any worse now than it was pre-debate? We’re all going to find out what the plan was. However this plays out, no matter how cobbled it appears, the Thursday Night Massacre was phase one of of Joe’s planned demolition. I’m a big fan of Occam’s Razor but in this case I strongly suspect there’s way, WAY more to this.

          1. The Real Christopher, there must be some plan that we cannot see yet because it is hard to believe that anyone would place their faith in the strength of Joe’s performance. Is it really possible that they drank their own cool aide? Maybe he has some good days but they are surely waning and unpredictable. They will be more unpredictable in a few months time because at this level of infirmity, things tend to move ever more steadily in only one sad direction. Beckita is correct in that the left is so close to their goals that they feel that they c.a.n.n.o.t. fail. There has to be a plan B, C or D to cover all the contingencies. Therefore, there is likely a nefarious plan that we have not imagined and should shudder to envision. May Christ have mercy on us all. Let us pray.
