On September 20, 2000, Special Counsel Robert Ray wrapped up the Whitewater investigation into the Clintons by concluding that there was insufficient evidence to prove to a jury beyond a reasonable doubt that the Clintons had knowingly violated the law. The media, of course, touted it as an exoneration of the Clintons.
Everybody knew that Bill Clinton had committed perjury, had sexually harassed and assaulted women while he was governor of Arkansas and president of the United States, and that there was a raft of serious financial wrongdoing and raw pay-for-play schemes surrounding the Clintons. But after an impeachment ordeal that was thoroughly politicized – and the media unanimously touting that the Clinton’s refusing to give over evidence and “losing” evidence that courts ordered them to surrender “proved” that the evidence was not there, it had become a lost cause. The evidence was extensive and documented, although with some holes from what the Clintons simply destroyed.
Yet everyone expected some version of what Ray concluded, because all parties were exhausted from the battle. The truth was that the evidence was there in abundance, but Ray had good reason to doubt that a jury in D.C. would be any more interested in that evidence than the media was. Thus, this case winked out not because there was a lack of evidence of guilt, but because Clinton and the media had more power than a prosecutor could overcome to get anyone to honestly hear and see that evidence. Since the conclusion was what was expected, the decision did not make huge headlines.
Talking with one of my Priests shortly after the decision, I noted that this was the first major case where the prosecutor all but admitted that he had the goods, but that the leftist power structure in government and the media was too strong for him – so he just would not pursue it further. I wrote to my Priest that I both suspected and feared that this would be the first big rock to tumble from the edifice of justice – and would ultimately lead to the replacement of the rule of law with the rule of raw power – that if unimpeded, there would need be no crime for conservatives and Christians to be prosecuted and persecuted and no crime would be so serious that Democrats could not thumb their nose at the law. That solitary rock falling from the justice system has, 20 years later, become a sinkhole. Nobody expects a fair shake from the justice system…from the courts or any other federal agency anymore. If we were candid, when someone was hauled into court, they wouldn’t bother reading the charges. They would simply ask whether the accused was a Christian or a conservative. If so, he was guilty – sentence first, trial later. If he was a Democrat, he was not guilty – and the court would angrily demand to know why anyone had charged him in the first place.
The evidence of massive vote-fraud is overwhelming and growing by the day – and has been systemic and growing since the introduction of vote-tabulating software. (Yeah, I feel pretty good right now that I have long been an advocate of simple paper ballots, same-day voting, purging voter lists at least every four years, and voter ID.) One of Trump’s top election lawyers, Lin Wood, told Mark Levin last week that he believes Trump won about 70 percent of the popular vote and over 400 electoral votes. That matches up well with my own old-school analysis that tells me Trump won by 12 million votes.
I am now 100 percent certain that Trump and his lawyers will prove beyond any reasonable doubt that the Democrats engaged in the most massive vote fraud this side of Venezuela and North Korea. The idiot media has been busy censoring any mention of this evidence while simultaneously demanding where the evidence is. It reminds me of one of Judge William Orrick’s favorite ploys in David Daleiden’s abortion cases: he forbids Daleiden from introducing certain evidence and, later, on ruling, criticizes Daleiden for not introducing the very evidence he forbade. That attitude is the hinge of all doubt in this matter.
While the Trump team has the goods, I no longer have confidence in the fortitude or honor of our legislatures and judges. They could view the massive mounds of evidence and pretend it isn’t there. There is a strong likelihood they will. Our elite classes are filled with knaves and fools. Fox News has gone completely in the tank for the ruling class. Even Tucker Carlson has been busy harassing Trumpers and demanding they kiss his ring rather than searching for honest answers (though I have enjoyed Carlson’s candid boldness in the last year, I have never forgotten that he was a moderate, limp-wristed type when he was with CNN. My fear that he just kisses the ring of whoever signs his paycheck seems to be being confirmed. He is not actually a passionate populist: he does play one on TV pretty well, though.)
Last week I spoke with a couple of the president’s lawyers – one in some detail. I was startled then at how jubilantly confident they were that they had the goods. The events of this last week have shown me that that confidence was entirely justified. Now the question is whether they have a better chance than a snowball in hell of getting a fair shake from the mavens in the elite class. If they can actually get it to the Supreme Court, I think they do. Though they have a slam-dunk case, that is what actual conservatives and Christians have to have to have a ghost of a chance at a fair shake.
Thus, we have a great battle before us. If evidence and honor take the day and Trump is inaugurated for his second term, the pagan left will be like a cemetery full of murderous vampires hissing and snarling as they seek to burn down the country. If Joe Biden is installed as the first fully fraudulent, illegitimate man to usurp the office of president, the true resistance has begun.
The rule of law is dead. May we call on God and cooperate with Him in resurrecting it. The hour of the ordinary man is upon us. May we serve God well and truly on the road to Mordor.

Like so many of my fellow Catholics, I am shaken by the level of ineptitude and betrayal among our hierarchy. And yet, I see stirrings of real sobriety and seriousness of purpose sprouting among our American Bishops. At the Fall General Assembly of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), the Bishops elected new heads for their various projects. The slate of new “department heads” is a very hopeful one for those who value orthodoxy and the Magisterium. Even more hopeful is that these “department heads” were elected by their fellow Bishops. That tells me that a lot of Bishops are thinking that the policy of reflexively genuflecting to secular authorities is not working out well for any of us.
Further, in reflection, I suspect I was a bit too harsh in my assessment of USCCB President Archbishop Jose Gomez in his decision to issue a congratulatory statement to Joe Biden. Yes, it was absurd to congratulate Biden on a “victory” he has not won. I know that Abp. Gomez was under intense pressure to issue the statement from some activist fellow Bishops. That, of course, is no excuse. Yet his formal statement was more carefully parsed than I originally recognized. He did not say Biden would be the second Catholic president in U.S. history, but that Biden would be the second man to “profess” the Catholic faith. In normal times, that would be a notably clever piece of work. In these times, honest boldness with careful diplomacy is the watchword. Our Bishops would be well advised to study closely the history of St. John Paul, when he was the Cardinal Archbishop of Krakow. His diplomacy in confronting the communist rulers there was masterful – and is terribly needed in America now. The first thing to note is that Archbishop Wojtyla (John Paul’s birth name) was clearly NOT the Bishop of the ruling class. He was the Bishop of the Catholic faithful in Krakow, beloved because of his fidelity to them and to the faith he was charged with proclaiming. With the people firmly behind him, though ruling authorities would prefer to kill him, they had to deal carefully with him.
Not a decisive turn just yet, but I sense some genuinely hopeful stirrings in the hierarchy.
For those of us in the pews, a great challenge is to try to differentiate between those who are actual enemies of the faith in the hierarchy and those who just make a lot of blunders. The blunderers are not my enemies; they include some of our most important future allies. Be careful not to drive them into the camp of actual enemies.

The annual Texas Right to Life (TRTL) Celebration of Life Dinner was held last Saturday. It drew 650 people despite the Covid business stalking the land. Pam Tebow, mother of Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow, was the keynote speaker. Some had urged her to abort the baby that would grow up to become the college football great. Her decision to choose life then led her to become a passionate advocate for life who speaks throughout the country.
I love the people at TRTL. Though an outsider, I work with them sporadically and have gotten to know most of the team. Every week, they begin several meetings with a reading of Scripture, after which everyone discusses what it means to them and how it has affected them. They are a prayerful team – and the youngest group of seasoned veterans I know.
A couple of years ago, I was down doing some work with TRTL and went to a barbecue honoring the young people who serve as volunteer pro-life coordinators on college campuses across the state. At one point, a lovely, demure young oriental girl who was wearing a cowboy hat and cute boots had her turn to speak. “Hey y’all,” she began with a big grin and thick Texas accent before launching into an enthusiastic speech defending life. It was the moment I knew (with Dorothy and Toto) that I was definitely not in Kansas anymore. I saw her at the dinner this year, in her third year of coordinating her college – and she was delighted that her speech when she first came on board made such an impression on me.
It delights me that I spend so much time with people who are fully committed to life – and have saved so many lives, both in the aggregate and in particular. They are passionate, joyful warriors who fully live what they preach. And I get to be with them for the North Texas dinner in Dallas tonight. I love this state and these wonderful people.
So well said, Charlie, about where we’ve come from as the rule of law has been chipped, chipped, chipped away over the years. We surely do face major difficulties no matter how the details shake out as we continue to stand and do our best to uphold the Gospel values while we wait upon the Lord to see what He allows moving forward. Of course, like most, I would love to see the victory of Truth to reign concerning the fraud that has been part of our election process for too long and which was ramped to the hilt in this election. Still, I’m confident that if we are prevented from enjoying this victory right now, God has a better way to draw as many souls as possible to Himself through His Plan. I know, I know, I know that God’s grace, which we need to carry whatever He entrusts to us, will be there for the asking and receiving because wherever sin abounds, grace abounds the more. (Romans 5:20)
I want to be as Joseph who wore the coat of many colors and praise God for everything that happens, knowing that He ever draws good from evil. Too, I hold in my heart Jesus’ words to St. Faustina: I am Love and Mercy itself. When a soul approaches Me with trust, I fill it with such an abundance of graces that it cannot contain them within itself, but radiates them to other souls. (Diary #1074).
Grateful to see the positive stirrings among the Bishops and I love these thoughts: “The blunderers are not my enemies; they include some of our most important future allies. Be careful not to drive them into the camp of actual enemies.” May this be so.
One of my favorite memes stems from the good God drew from the evil of Joseph’s brothers tossing him into the cistern and leaving him there to die, although, for the call on each of our lives, we need to add: And don’t forget the prayer of doing!

I watched the whole 90-minute+ Guiliani press conference Thursday and was stunned at the disconnect between what I saw and how the media presented it. I was doubly disappointed by Drew Mariani’s take on it on Relevant radio – did he even watch the press conference? Everyone is asking for evidence, yet when any low-life (Adam Schiff) looks at the camera and says “I’ve seen evidence that Trump did whatever but I can’t tell you because it’s secret” everyone buys it like it was the Gods honest truth. In the presser they made it abundantly clear that this was their “opening statement” not the trial. They were telling what they have found and the kind of evidence they will present when they get to court. I’ve done many of these kinds of press conferences in the past – you lay out what your case is in general terms, but, unless you are a total idiot, you don’t give the goods until you get into chambers. Up until Thursday I was in a “wait and see” mode. I’m p*s*ed now. I feel like I’m watching the “Stepford news” glassy-eyed reporters just saying “unfounded allegations of fraud” is repeated verbatim in every news story – like they were all reading off the same talking points. I don’t know if What Guiliani et all says is true or not. What I want is the process to play out legally and fairly. While I do think Trump has some really troubling ego-issues, he can’t buy facts. I can’t imagine that Guiliani and the rest would stake their entire careers and reputation on a case if they didn’t actually believe they were right. So I’m praying for our country…and doing something about it through CORAC!

I agree with you, Beckita. I would love to think that God wants Trump to lead us for four more years and with God’s help, straighten out some of the mess. If it should turn out that Biden is allowed to be confirmed as president, even with all the horrible evidence of voter fraud and voting software that only a crook could love, then I’ll know that God has other plans for us…..and they won’t be pretty. Hang on to your hats! And keep praying!

We do have birth pangs for sure. We ARE, day by day, getting more surely into the rapids. We have yet to enter the toughest days. That said, how many times did our Patron, Pope St. John Paul II, remind us: “Be not afraid.” When I was in Medjugorje, I was invited into the apparition room and saw a shaft of mighty light shoot across the room just before Our Lady appeared. Made sense to me that wherever His Spouse is, there the Holy Spirit is. I was also told by a local person that day it is well known that two of Our Lady’s favorite songs are, “Be Not Afraid,” and can you guess the other?

Linda, when it comes to the crushing of the serpent’s head, I think of a piece which Charlie wrote back at TNRS entitled Each Soul is the Battleground. Our Lady has triumphed in every soul who remains committed to/or makes a return to embracing God’s Will. An excerpt from that piece:
The most important is that ALL things serve to accomplish God’s will. ALL things. God never interferes with our free will. But He is omniscient and knows what we will do – and so orders it to accomplish His purpose. If you are Pharaoh, God knows the hardness of your heart – and uses it to demonstrate His power and to free His chosen people. If you are King David, God knows your intense passion and courage, including it slipping frequently into disorder. But He also knows your love. So He uses it to found a kingdom which is a foreshadowing of the Kingdom He will open up to us with the coming of Christ. If you are St. John Paul, He uses your fortitude, courage and brilliance to fortify His Holy Church. If you are Roman persecutors of the early Church, God uses your persecution to spread the Gospel and the faith throughout the world. Whether you are obedient or disobedient, good or evil, scheming or docile, whatever you do ends up serving God’s purposes, even when you intend exactly the opposite. The only thing that is ever at stake is your own salvation.
We are constantly revealing ourselves and giving ourselves up to judgment. If you speak of charity, but devise it so as to give yourself advantage, you reveal yourself to God. If you speak of faith, but are ever eager to be on the side that seems to be winning, you reveal yourself to God, even if you actually deceive yourself. It was not just St. Peter who was called to walk on water to Jesus, ignoring the waves of the Storm around him. We are all so called, called by God to ignore the fearful waves of trouble, the howling winds of ambition to keep our eyes on Jesus and use all He gives us to serve Him by serving His people. When you can recognize both temporal triumph and temporal disaster as the same fraud wearing different clothes; when you can recognize that the only reality that lasts is loving and serving God; when you understand that you most fully serve God by loving your neighbors and seeing in them His Divine Image, you are at the beginning of wisdom.
The devil already knows all this. He knew it from the moment of his rebellion. He knows he will not win – and that, in fact, every gambit he plays will only serve to accomplish God’s will. He knows he will get no kingdom after this world has passed, but will be as isolated and forsaken as all others who have rejected God. The devil is pure malevolence, his sole purpose to negate what God has created – to mutilate, torture, terrify, seduce, and ultimately destroy as many of the souls God has created as he can. That is the only “victory” he ever gets. The satan works with furious resolve to try to pervert your best qualities into parodies of virtue. He seeks to turn your love into lust, your initiative into greed, your search for righteousness into a shallow self-righteousness preening. With everything we do, we accomplish God’s will while revealing whether we are God’s or the satan’s man. It is only ever our soul that is at stake, not God’s sovereign will.
There is a great spiritual war going on right now…and each soul is the battleground.

I asked Charlie once (Jackson zoom) how in the world is God going to change everyone’s hearts? He got real serious…took a little breath…moved a little closer to the computer and exclaimed, “You’re watching it!” It was quite a profound moment of realization for me personally that this storm is meant to change the world!…and oh how we need this storm!🤗🙏❤️🐿🦃📿🇺🇸😘🍠🍽🥘🥰

Linda, have you ever viewed the film, Mist of Mercy? It’s based on the book of the same title. Jesus mystically took Anne a lay apostle purgatory and both the book and film are beautiful.

The Battle Hymn of the Republic ?!?!?!?!? 🙂
My maternal Grandma requested that song be played at her funeral Mass. I agreed.
Some family members protested that such a song wouldn’t be proper for a funeral. One relative told Grandma that people would think she was an old battle axe.
Grandma’s reply: “Yes. I’m a battle axe for the Pope!” 🙂
She got her wish and the Battle Hymn of the Republic was played at the end of Grandma’s funeral Mass.
P.S. My other Grandma, (my paternal Grandma) had a quite different personality … the song at the end of her funeral was “Let Peace Begin with Me” …

Ha Beckita! I love “Be Not Afraid” and my favorite rendition of it is Kitty Cleveland’s. I listened to it today as I drove from Dallas to New Orleans. (Well…not the whole time…but it was one of the songs on one of the CDs I listened to.)

Before LiamXOXO was baptized, I sang this song over and over again to my 3 little kids. What inspired me was St. JPII motto: “Totus Tuus” and the Saint was always preaching this message. We have “Totus Tuus” on our and LiamXOXO’s memorial stone (3 plots together). How interesting.

We just can’t go wrong embracing and abiding in God’s Law, even if we have to give up every transitory thing in the process.
The alternative, from our derelict and deficient government, is increasingly confused by mutability, multiplicity and injustice –– acquiesced to by a populace increasingly weakened by vice.
Anything is possible, but no one should be surprised or derailed if the mob calls for Barabbas. Any more than the early Church was.
Thanks for news on TRTL and the dinner celebration. I love hearing about focused and unified souls doing good stuff, in spite of worldly woes.

Hm. Interesting that you found that movie depressing. I just thought it was comical. Who really believes that the likes of Swayze, Sheen, Gray, etc. could have pulled that off. They should have cast complete unknowns.
Enjoy your “W” this week, and try not to dwell on the fact that it required a 3rd OT against a 1-4 Rutgers. A win is a win, though I daresay if I was Rutgers I’d probably feel like we won something too.

Well, dear Domer, I found the movie depressing because almost all of the characters that one comes to care deeply about end up dead. This is why I watch Hallmark movies. Nobody dies. Yeah, it’s pure escapism. But my time available for entertainment is limited; so I don’t want to spend it watching movies that are going to make me ugly-cry, end up with a raging headache, and be in a funk for hours. That’s what “real life” is for. 😉
Speaking of which: This is also why I am not watching any Wolverine football this season. Who needs that kind of aggravation? When my husband informed my of the Blue’s triple-OT, war-of-attrition survival of Rutgers (really? Rutgers?!), I muttered, “I didn’t know Rutgers even had a football team.” 🙂

Ok, so I am finally giving an update on the Jericho walk… We had Dave & Peggy White, Mick, John and me there from CORAC (even sporting some nice CORAC threads!). We were joined by a nice young fellow, William from Detroit (William, if you read this, contact us, you were awesome!). We also teamed up with another group praying their rosary for a time, but our walking rates just didn’t match up for the entire 7 trips around!
We prayed a Patriotic Rosary, and for each branch of government along with every State, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, and numerous Litanies!
We shared the capital with some Proud Boys and a ton of Trump supporters as Mick said…. was loud at times, but great activity and heartening to see so many there to support freedom.
We also used exorcised salt and holy water on the 4 corners of the property to hopefully bring God’s graces to that place! We need for Gov. Whitler and AG Dana Nessle to soften their hearts!
It was an amazing day and feel so blessed to have been able to do it with awesome like minded squirrels!

Find Hallmark movies kinda empty especially the supposed Christmas ones. But have started watching old Perry Mason tv shows and if you can’t sleep you can catch Manning and Cannon in the middle of the night. Great scripts all.

As Charlie points out here, Fox management has now visibly aligned itself with the deep state to achieve dominating control over the uninformed, ignorant masses in favor of the rich, well positioned elites. The noted performance of Tucker Carlson was as dishonest as it gets as he railed for production of evidence of voting count manipulation saying there was none–completely ignoring that Texas had found that the software permitted count manipulation and in Michigan the flipping of 6000 votes for Trump to Biden was spotted, because the county had been known to have favored Trump, so the fraud was highlighted.
There is yet hope that cases of voting fraud will be recognized in the SCt, despite Chief Justice Roberts having revealed his disposition to support liberal causes. Republican state legislators may yet get a chance to exercise their authority to select Trump electors.

Dominion (according to online Dictionaries): The power or right of governing, controlling sovereign authority. Rule control; domination. A territory, usually of considerable size, in which a dingle rulership holds sway.
In the Bible : dominion can refer to in charge of or rule over.
Now, on too Dominion software, isn’t it ironic they chose this name? An eerie implication that software is designed to make Kings. However, The fundamental flaw in all of this is with man and not the machine – the machine (run by software) does what is programmed to do. Because the machine / software is of this world there is evidence that can be found in this world. God willing those who seeking, shall find. The President needs our support more so now than ever. Beyond the presidential there are down ballot implications – John James, MI appears to be very special.

Interesting insight, HTTP. I spent some extended time with the Servant of God Maria Esperanza and she was a spiritual mother to me. On several occasions, in Venezuela, I heard her say about the changes to come, “It will start here.” As with most mystical language, there can be layers of meaning to prophetic words. Perhaps she was, at one level, speaking to the voting machine problem. Surely, we can see the devastation of socialism in Venezuela as the end game for the globalists to gain power over the worldwide masses by allowing them to dwell in poverty.

Joy was surely prominent in Maria, Linda. She was selfless and her life was never her own. During my last visit, we held hands and spoke of many thing as mother-daughter. When I left her and spent time at Our Lady’s statue, contemplating what was spoken, I realized my hands had been imprinted with Maria’s odor of sanctity. Through that night and into the next day, the fragrance remained.

She truly is. And she lived what we’re all called to do: faithful to Christ’s teaching and surrendered to God’s Will. Maria would be the first to tell you, just as Mother Angelica often said that we’re all called to be saints and God forms all kinds of saints from the holy diversity He created in each of us.
Maria Esperanza, intercede for Charlie, ASOH and CORAC as Passion of Christ strengthens him.

It’s a beautiful video, Dave. At the same time, everything Charlie has written in this piece rings true and there are *no* guarantees that the truth of election fraud will be upheld with the criminals brought to justice. The people of CORAC are rising – as are others in the country – to respond to what God allows. To whatever is part of His Plan, as we acknowledge Him and take our next right steps, we will give our all. It *is* important to remember, I think, that God’s ultimate goal is to save as many souls as possible as we weather this Storm. God’s Blessings.

I am not a lawyer but I believe the Supreme Court does not judge the validity or lack of validity of evidence. They evaluate whether the decision rendered by the lower court is constitutional or not.
Also, I understand that each side is given only 30 minutes to make its arguments to the 9 Supreme Court Justices. Lots of briefs and petitions usually involved. Not normally a quickie process. I’m thinking it depends on the acuteness of the case. Like an impeding execution, for instance.
I can’t believe that if the sitting President of the United States petitions the Supreme Court to take on this kind of case wherein the fate of the nation hangs in the balance that they would not take it on even if the lower courts were so corrupt that they delayed rendering a decision that could be appealed over a long period of time.
I also believe that those 9 Justices are not stupid. They read the papers and watch Tucker at 8:00 PM.
They know full well that the Democrats, in response to the confirmation of Justice Amy Coney Barrett, have vowed to pack the Supreme Court rendering it impotent and just another captive arm of the Marxist Democrat Party of America. That will have to be in the back of their minds as they review the evidence that Trump’s team will present to lower courts somewhere or directly to the Supreme Court itself as part of the brief review process.
The question, as Charlie raises, is what can they do or will they be willing to do to rectify this mess?
The 2000 Gore v Bush case will be on their minds. In that case they ruled that the election in Florida violated the 14th Amendment covering equal protection under the constitution for Florida voters. The rules and procedures for conducting the election in Florida were different from county to county. Thus some voters were more protected than others. Bottom line, Florida ran an unconstitutional election.
BUT, the Court also ruled that the election re-examination should be halted and the vote certified by the legislature of Florida which gave Bush the win and the electoral votes.
So, it is going to be complicated.
Personally, I think they will try to punt this awful burden off their shoulders and onto the House of Representatives. They will enjoin the 5 swing states from certifying the election results and the electors from those states in the Electoral College or toss the election results out altogether. The Electoral College will meet on January 6, 2021 as called for by the Constitution and the Electoral votes of the remaining 45 States will be opened, read and counted by Mike Pence. No candidate will have the required 270 Electoral votes and Mike Pence will commence the vote in the House and the Senate assembled before him and “immediately” hold the vote as required.
If that happens as described (wished for) above then Trump will win the vote in the House. Depending on the outcome in Georgia, if the GOP can split the two seats, Pence will win in the Senate.
Just my guess and my prayer. The fallout will be historic either way it concludes.

Charlie, I’m so happy to read the positive things you have written. I stopped and prayed what felt like a powerful prayer, feeling the presence of the Holy Spirit, and continue to pray with the Guardian Angel of the U.S. as we have been urged to do.
Those who follow Bud McFarlane and the Mary Foundation will know that Bud is knocking himself out going to every swing state to pray. He needs prayers of support and is a real warrior for Our Lady. May she crush all this evil coming against the election and those who are trying to do good.

Send a Christmas Card to President Trump.
Send a hundred. Today, I supported the local Knights of Columbus Charity fund raiser by purchasing several boxes of Christmas Cards. I printed Avery self adhesive address stickers with the White House address and placed a USPS Stamp on each.
I left a little under 100 on my local breakfast/lunch counter inviting others to fill out and send President Trump a Christmas Card.
Within my card, I requested he AUDIT the voting system. All in all, each card cost about $1.10.
I recommend everyone do the same and pass this message of Hope on.
Yesterday, I sent a letter via USPS stating the same with a statement I voted for Trump as President and cc to my NYS Governor; County Supervisor; Town Supervisor. Mailed all four envelopes containing the exact same letter to Trump.

Liberalism, Integralism and Evangelization: A Pastor Reflects Upon Christ the King
“Nations will be reminded by the annual celebration of this feast that not only private individuals but also rulers and princes are bound to give public honor and obedience to Christ. It will call to their minds the thought of the last judgment, wherein Christ, who has been cast out of public life, despised, neglected and ignored, will most severely avenge these insults; for his kingly dignity demands that the State should take account of the commandments of God and of Christian principles, both in making laws and in administering justice, and also in providing for the young a sound moral education.” –Pope Pius XI establishing the Feast of Christ the King, 1925
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I am of the opinion that it is the responsibility of prominent laymen, rather than parochial clergymen, to comment publicly upon the significance of electoral politics, especially insofar as such politics impacts the faith and morals of a nation. So, while clergymen should stay out of electoral politics, well-formed laymen should be at the forefront of promoting virtuous candidates for political office.
DILEMMAS
However, it is clear to me that many lay Catholics experience spiritual dilemmas resulting from the intensity of those political elections which pose the greatest challenges to the Natural Law and the Apostolic Tradition. These spiritual dilemmas, as described by many parishioners, can even have the effect of leading even the most resolute Catholics to question the omnipotence of God and the efficacy of God’s Church. With this pastoral reality in mind, I offer below my own reflections on politics, doing so more as a pastor of souls than as a normal political commentator. Specifically, let’s take a look at Liberalism, Integralism and evangelization.
LIBERALISM
In his 2018 book Why Liberalism Failed, University of Notre Dame professor Patrick Deneen argues that the Liberal state is unable to sustain itself, due to the fact that by being true to itself, it cannot commit to any particular tradition of moral inquiry, and, therefore, such a state eventually sees its citizens collapse into an individualism that is so destructive to the human person that our human nature, as persons in relation, will inevitably drive us to rebel against the very constitutional order we imagine we prefer.
To be clear, the term “Liberal” is used here in its philosophical sense to refer to a constitutional order which protects the rights of individuals, specifically, the rights to “life, liberty and property”, and is philosophically opposed to Conservatism, which prefers either rule by landed aristocracy, or rule by an imperial bureaucracy. In the USA, both the Republican and Democratic parties are philosophically Liberal, emphasizing competing aspects of Liberalism, although modern electoral polemics have altered the term in the popular imagination.
INTEGRALISM
An online journal called “The Josias”, edited by both a Cistercian monk and a layman, claims the most fitting political goal of Christians is the reconstitution of states in conformity not only with the Natural Law, but also with the Apostolic Tradition. Such a state is called a “confessing state”, and its supporting theology is called “Integralism”. Even in modern times, many states have officially, though always imperfectly, exemplified Integralism, including, for a time, the kingdoms of Spain and Portugal, the various Italian kingdoms, and other smaller states (e.g. Malta, Liechtenstein and Monaco). Integralism has received considerable attention recently, especially after Harvard law professor Adrian Vermeule took up the cause.
Integralism seems like a foreign concept to us in 21st century America, and it certainly is, but not so much as we think. Most American Catholics are “practical Integralists”, as becomes clear when we hear the laments of many parents and grandparents in the USA and throughout the West whose children and grandchildren have largely left the Church. In an Integralist society where Catholicism is the “default” faith, Catholics need only bear children in order to ensure future generations of Catholics, because the Integralist culture, created by the confessing state, prompts every level and lever of society to promote the official Faith. Most American Catholics are the product of immigration or migration from Integralist nations and regions—either Integralist states as such, or dependent nations and regions whose social leaders maintained effectively Integralist societies (e.g. British Ireland, pre-1960’s Quebec and pre-1960’s Catholic “ghettoes” in several US cities). This Integralism has not been part of the American Catholic experience for several decades now, but American Catholics have not yet been conditioned to pass on the Faith in novel but effective ways (to be clear, novelty has been alive and well in US Catholicism since the mid ‘60’s, but its effectiveness at passing on the Faith stands in question).
So, if Liberalism has failed—and there are plenty of moral indicators to support the claim that moral life in our Liberal republic is indeed failing—then Integralism becomes an attractive solution to stop the moral bleeding. More importantly, the salvation of souls is at stake, so a failed political philosophy, if that’s what Liberalism is, must be replaced as soon as possible, even with Integralism, so the argument goes.
EVANGELIZATION
Speaking as an American citizen and as a parish pastor, it seems to me that Liberalism has not failed, nor is Integralism the solution to our political or cultural ills. It is undeniable that Christian influence in the West is in decline, and has been for decades now. But I would argue that the only problem with Liberalism is the reluctance of Catholics to take seriously the mission of evangelization. Christ’s last words on Earth contain the fundamental mission of every Christian: evangelization. “Going therefore, teach ye all nations; baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.”
If Jesus meant what He said, and if we are serious about doing whatever He commands us, then we should be working to fulfill this mission of evangelization. An evangelized nation will produce an evangelized state, even if the state is not constitutionally founded upon the precepts of the Gospel, that is, even if the state is Liberal.
Catholic couples who evangelize will quickly discover how little they know about the Faith, a realization which promptly drives them to find out more about the Faith so they can share what they learn with others. I’ve found that I learn more from teaching than I do from being a student. Parents who evangelize will have children who witness the evangelical faith of their parents, and so, over the years, will come to know the friends, neighbors and coworkers of their parents who accept the invitation to convert to Catholicism. This dual witness of their parents and their parents’ converts will greatly strengthen the Catholic Faith of the children, who’ll grow up to continue the evangelical tradition of their parents.
Couple by couple, parent by parent, neighbor by neighbor, personal evangelization extends the reign of Christ the King into the minds and hearts of citizens, and into the legislative assemblies, the halls of justice and the executive mansions.
PROSELYTISM
What about the dangers of proselytism? Pope Francis speaks frequently against “proselytism”, which should not be confused with evangelization, whether in evangelization’s original form, or in its ecumenical form. It’s not clear to me where all of these adults forced against their will to join the Catholic Church are, but the pope is concerned about it, so we must avoid doing it. But what is proselytism, and how does it differ from evangelization?
I’ll try to explain, using a 2007 Vatican document that treats the subject. “The Christian spirit has always been animated by a passion to lead all humanity to Christ in the Church. The incorporation of new members into the Church is not the expansion of a power-group, but rather entrance into the network of friendship with Christ which connects heaven and earth, different continents and ages.” (“Doctrinal Note on Some Aspects of Evangelization”, 9)
Also, “the Kingdom of God is not – as some maintain today – a generic reality above all religious experiences and traditions, to which they tend as a universal and indistinct communion of all those who seek God, but it is, before all else, a person with a name and a face: Jesus of Nazareth, the image of the unseen God.” (Doctrinal Note, 9)
Further, “every free movement of the human heart towards God and towards his kingdom cannot but by its very nature lead to Christ and be oriented towards entrance into his Church, the efficacious sign of that Kingdom. The Church, therefore, is the bearer of the presence of God and thus the instrument of the true humanization of man and the world. The growth of the Church in history, which results from missionary activity, is at the service of the presence of God through his Kingdom: one cannot in fact ‘detach the Kingdom from the Church’.” (Doctrinal Note, 9)
Practically speaking, this means that “everywhere and always, each Catholic has the right and the duty to give the witness and the full proclamation of his faith. With non-Catholic Christians, Catholics must enter into a respectful dialogue of charity and truth, a dialogue which is not only an exchange of ideas, but also of gifts, in order that the fullness of the means of salvation can be offered to one’s partners in dialogue. CONCLUSION
In conclusion, the Liberal political philosophy upon which the United States of America was founded remains the best guarantee of freedom for those Christians who accept Christ’s command to evangelize. And, there’s no need to take the lazy way out by promoting the reconstitution of ours or any other nation as an Integralist state. If we all leave Integralism behind and embrace Liberalism, we can then get to work evangelizing our friends, neighbors and coworkers in the secular sphere, knowing we have the highly influential power of God on our side as we do so. Together, we’ll extend the reign of Christ on Earth.

“Free Ohio Now” rallies were in full swing across the Great State of Ohio today (Saturday). I was happily in attendance at my local rally. It resembled a Trump rally in tone, spirit, and high levels of patriotism, music, and general enthusiasm. (Can you say abundant life?) 🙂 We the People together, although of different colors and creeds, felt like we were like minds and kindred spirits, like an army of moral support for America and President Trump.
Since I live in one of the more liberal counties, it was amazing the amount of support we got from cars, with the VAST MAJORITY passing by honking their horns. Truly inspirational! 🙂 🇺🇸 ❤️
Not all passers-by were in agreement, and some showed it in not-so-pleasant ways. The most unusual of our opponents threw a single, forlorn half of a French fry at us from out of their car window. Those who passed by and cursed us, I blessed with the sign of the cross. At one point, a supporter driving by said she supported us and was giving us a blessing … so I made a sign of the cross towards her, and she smiled and did the same … then I saw a Rosary hanging from her rearview mirror. 🙂
Crowd estimate was roughly 200 people. Pretty good considering there was very little advance notice and if you weren’t active in the organization hosting the event, you had to be lucky enough to stumble on the rally location information on the Internet. It was cold and there was a snow flurry or two in the air. The event was scheduled for two hours … I left a little after that as night was falling, with brand new Trump gear for souvenirs, and the rally was still going strong.

Cheers from neighboring state Indiana. What amazes me is suburbs of Indianapolis all went to the President by large margins (some by 2:1) where apparently suburbs of Detroit and Philly were opposite. The following Midwest states are more similar than different – Indiana, Ohio, Iowa, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Leave Illinois out due to overwhelmingly influence of Chicago. What am getting at is if Trump won Iowa, Ohio and Indiana by a 7-16 point spread there is no reason to believe he should have been behind in those other states.

I have sadly thought for awhile that, whoever truly won the election, the winner is the one the left, the media and the manipulators of the vote count say it is, unless we have God’s help, that is.

While reading the first part of this posting I couldn’t help but think of Conrad Black and what happened to him during this same time frame. It is a fearful thing to have the power of the Deep State bear down upon you, even if you aren’t among the peasant class. If it isn’t the government, you can be targeted for civil suits. Mark Steyn, a target of such lawsuits, often says the process is the punishment, or something to that affect.
In other news, Father Chris is not doing well and really needs our prayers. My family is doing well and those who were sick have recovered. Sadly this good priest is in the hospital and is not improving health wise. 🙏

I totally agree with your assessments. Hopefully If we can get honest and steadfast judges we will be on our way. If it goes to the supreme court, I pray they view the evidence of massive corruption and fraud that enabled for a prearranged president to win illegality and through fraudulent ways, while also pushing out the legally elected president. This is truly an immense battle of the forces of darkness against the forces of light.
On the other side there are some signs of goodness and truth from our Catholic leaders to hopefully stand tall with the faithful and join the fight. I think we have all been agreeing that we must pray to save the country and beyond to push the enemy back on it’s heels. We also have goodness that we need to joyfully pray for the many people of good will, and from such organizations TRTL and CORAC and many many that we do not even know existed.
In this regard, I think we need to bring all guns to bear. I believe we should all pray specifically to the saints chosen by our parents at baptism and the saint we choose at confirmation. These Saints and our guardian angels are here to help and to encourage us to keep faith and trust in God. And then there are the Angels that are assigned to countries and cities as well.
I believe a prayer can be directed at two different issues. For example; a prayer offered to help a person suffering, hurt, depressed, lost etc. for the person to get better, or have an issue resolved, is also tied to you for your compassion and personal suffering to watch them struggle. For example, I am sure we all know that when you see someone you love suffer, you suffer as much or more. I think this second form of the same prayer can be dedicated to God for the benefit of fighting the forces of darkness that are trying to crush and cheat and lie their way into the American way of life and destroy it from within.
I think our president is in dire need of a frontal assault of prayers trust in God. I am thinking of a few other areas may multiply avenues of prayer that are available to us that may not always come to mind.

My reading of the scriptures leads me to believe that the Lord Jesus will return at the end of the 7 year Tribulation, killing His enemies, leading mankind into the Promised 1,0000 year Kingdom on earth.
Yet, in my opinion, we are still experiencing the birth pangs that were prophesied to precede the beginning of those final 7 years.

Dave, others from our community have linked to similar reports and interpretations. From a Catholic perspective, the Book of Revelation is a dynamically prophetic book, written with all manner of mystical language. Therefore, you can find multiple writers who offer their interpretation of its meaning. Also for Catholics, Jesus’ Mother, and ours, has come to earth leaving messages about the times in which we live. Particularly, under the title of “Our Lady of Fatima” she has promised a period of peace which is coming. The Catholic Church has spoken against the idea of a literal 1,000 year reign. Many spiritual writers speak to the number “one thousand” as a metaphor representing “fullness.”
We can agree, Dave, that we’ll be living the Paschal Mystery with the height of this Storm becoming our Good Friday, our Passion time, in an intense way as the Davos/Bilderber/WEF/UN conglomerate move and the evil one has his hour as God allows. We know, as Charlie has conveyed, again and again, that God is looking for us to make our stand, to reveal that we believe He IS our sovereign Lord and we reverence, love and serve Him and His people. What we don’t know is how much leeway God will allow the evil forces which seek to dominate the people of the earth. Rough as it will become, God has ordained that His Mother will Rescue us and all will see how He cherishes and honors her so that we will follow His example as we live and move and have our being in Him. I don’t know if it’s just me, but it’s rare that I’ve sensed the force of evil as I do from this Davos Global Reset group. According to one of their now deceased members, David Rockefeller, they’ve all been working on the preparation for this attack for 70 years, since around 1950. As far as I perceive it, the release of this virus was the crossing of the Rubicon for them. Most disturbingly, they’ve quit trying to call folks like us conspiracy theorists since most of their plans are now released and are public knowledge.

In solidarity of prayer with you for this intention, Dave. That said, I think of those who have gone before us and had their challenges and trials. I think, too, of God’s pattern in salvation history where he allowed the enemies of his unfaithful, unrepentant people to awaken them via the suffering of oppression. Through every age and every time, He has sent grace upon grace upon grace to us when we asked for His assistance. So I see a balance we must strike. We can’t stick our heads in the sand and ignore the looming darkness the enemy has planned. Neither is it wise to dwell on the evil plans and stoke interior fear and trepidation. I’ve decided to focus on Jesus and watch for His Father’s Plan unfolding as He nudges me to my next right steps. Too, it’s a time to ponder the holy ones who have weathered Storms in days past or who write inspirationally to keep us focused on whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy. It won’t be easy but I know we can do all thing in Christ Who strengthens us. God bless you, Dave!

This is dumb but I didn’t know—–or was too scattered/overwhelmed for a long while to understand the implications of streaming adoration. There is EWTN Polska on youtube and the monstrance is Our Lady–Breathtaking!
I’m hoping to acquire the habit of having it on our tv during the day. It’s really wonderful to have this availble on our phones, other devices, etc. A great Blessing during this time of increasing storm.
Does anyone know about the artist that made that monstrance for EWTN Polska? I’d love to learn more about it.

I was just reminiscing tonight about Charlie’s prophecy that Christmas’s will not be like normal anymore and many will not be around the table!!! Ha!!! Spoke with a few family members today who are NOT coming for Thanksgiving and wonder if maybe we should cancel Christmas this year!!! 🤔

Since my daughter is having a “weird” covid thanksgiving outdoors with lots of CA rules, we will go instead to our adoptive family and eat around the table indoors with the kiddos. Birds of a feather flock together. Thank God!

MY heart breaks that we can’t be with our daughter during sacred holidays, but that’s the way it is. We love our daughter and granddaughters, but our belief systems are fully at odds. We have “word”s online, but never in person. Its really sad and sick. But they do not do “dialogue” bc they do not agree and are not “open” to reason. I pray for their illumination of conscience. Only Jesus can break through, not I. Come Holy Spirit come.

I have to admit that the past week I feel as if I have been operating in a great fog.
As a historian and an attorney, the legal and historical significance of what is happening with the election, the government, the suppression of information by so called private entities, the near total disruption of normal life by the ongoing and renewed lockdowns, are all mind boggling to say the least.
Historically, I keep wondering if I am living in a high-speed fall of the Roman Empire, the last days of the Weimar Republic before Hitler is elected into power, or in 1917 St. Petersburg as Vladimir Lenin disembarks from his train from exile to set off the communist Bolshevik Revolution.
As an attorney I am appalled as the last shreds of constitutional government and the rule of law appear about to be shredded as we watch.
Much of my thoughts the past few days have been directed towards learning all I can about the company called Dominion that possibly may have engineered the most incredible election fraud in recorded history.
My confusion was becoming quite profound. The confusion was giving way to pessimism and despondency. I kept praying for God’s will to be done but my heart was entertaining doubts.
Then I came upon the following passage in the Office or Readings in yesterday’s Prayer of the Hours. In my translation it was stated as follows:
“The dominion of the world has passed to the Lord of us all, and to Christ, his anointed: he shall reign for ever and ever.
All races will worship the Lord to whom all sovereignty belongs; he shall reign for ever and ever.”

The word “dominion” jumped out at me. The version of the Divine Office I follow is online and uses rather modern translations. The word dominion does not come up very often. It was as if Jesus was saying to me be calm, have faith, I am in control even here.
Keep praying. Ask our Lady to storm heaven on our behalf.

I continue to return to the idea that we must become comfortable with the uncomfortable. When I lived in West Africa for more than two years, I constantly bumped into signs which read: “Expect the Unexpected.”

Maybe it was a sheer coincidence, or maybe I am trying to see a sign or comfort here, but two days ago I was thinking about getting a new credit card, and I came upon an ad which pictured a credit card with last name… BARRETT on it. Maybe she will save the day now. Or perhaps she will have a crucial role in the future… Anyway, speaking of credit cards, President Trump should get a great credit for appointing three pro-life justices. Let’s hope and pray he will add more in his, God willing, second term.

Tonight it has become abundantly clear that law and order is not at the helm. When you have judges who will not even look at evidence that clearly shows fraud, well then…..and we do not have our legal systems to back up law and order like the FBI, DOJ, Homeland Security or legislative representatives….we are in a dire place. I feel we are in the consequences of our collective sin. The chastisement will come. Man’s inhumanity to man will be at its greatest threat in the history of man. (can that be possible?), yes, it can. Stay close to our Lord and our Blessed Mother. It will be a firestorm of hell on earth before the Power of God is revealed completely. Mea culpa dear Lord. Mea culpa. God save your children.

Hi, everyone, I don’t know if this appeals or not, but my sixth grader recently expressed interest in reading the Lord of the Rings trilogy by Tolkien. I was doubtful that he was up to the old fashioned writing style, but as he had finished The Hobbit this summer, he wanted to know what happened next. I had read the trilogy in college so it’s been awhile for me so I picked it up as well. We are both finished with the first part (The Fellowship of the Ring) and I CANNOT get over the similarities to our times. And I realize I am stressed out for Frodo and his friends even though I know the ending! Just like I know the Blessed Mother will rescue us, I’m still anxious! If anyone needs a diversion, but a faith affirming one, try out the books. What a gift for our times!

I get such a chuckle out of the look on the kids’ faces when one of us will say a word and the other says, oh yeah. Referring to some conversation where we couldn’t remember some name or something and the other remembers it a week later. It is a wavelength that only the two of us share. Please pray for my sister. She is in a rehab facility that just now has Covid cases and they were found on her floor. No results yet after she was tested this morning. The facility is having staffing difficulties and Mary Margaret has had a surgery delayed, minimal wound care, pain meds not given at the proper intervals and more. When I talked to her this evening, she sounded like my husband did when he knew he would die soon–he gave me instructions on things that needed to be done. She was crying and telling me about my nephew and how much he needs to get help with his PTSD. In every way you can imagine, she is in so much pain. Please, if you would, say a PMT and ask for the intercession of all your favorite saints. Thank you for all prayers. God bless you for them.

Thank you, William. As of yesterday, three more caregivers have tested positive and sent home for quarantine. Positive patients are in a separate unit and it is still spreading. I now ask for prayers for all who staff the facility as well as all the patients. Mary Margaret is one of many and she has told me of some of the more serious situations going on among the staff and their families because of this virus.

SanSan, Diane, for the sake…, dolordee, phoenix, st judith, timothy, Beckita and everyone else who prayed for Mary Margaret, thank you with all my heart. You know that I asked for a miracle and I can see it happening (not all at once, of course, but in God’s perfect time). Some things I cannot pass on, but please take my word for it, gifts and blessings are falling like snow flakes. First, Mary Margaret tested negative for Covid, pain med intervals more appropriate and daily wound care started again after 3 days of none. She definitely is better physically and emotionally. She even asked me to have masses said for her son and all the staff members and caregivers of her facility. (I mentioned below that three more caregivers tested positive yesterday.) Bless you all and may the blessings that your prayers brought return to you in abundance.

To echo an earlier comment on the “Great Reset”, google World Economic Forum video 2030. It’s a short video that tells us their “predictions” for 2030. It begins with “by 2030, you’ll own nothing and you’ll be happy.” The WEF doesn’t make predictions. They take action. Part of their action is to eliminate borders and national cultures. It’s not a conspiracy theory it’s a clear interpretation of what they are saying publicly. It’s so transparent now that Biden’s transition team is using the exact same slogan as the globalists: Build Back Better. This is a 2030 goal, and they simply can’t allow Trump to stall for 4 more years. Sure they could assassinate him, but that will show too much of the game. They don’t want to create a martyr, they want to create a buffoon and still maintain the pretense that democracy works. It’s all happening now…

I believe it’s likely they are all useful idiots: Biden, Trump, the tech moguls, even to some extent the Pope. That’s not saying that I believe they are all stupid, but that they are being manipulated by global powers and pushed toward a global government by those who wish to bring an antichrist to power.
I doubt Biden really knows any better; I’ve always thought he was just an empty suit. Harris would probably sell her own mother if told to by those able to give her power. If the real deal Antichrist shows up I have little doubt he will discard those two like old socks.
Trump is a conundrum. They may have allowed him into power by mistake. Or, they may have allowed him in power to get the peons to beg for “professionals” to take back over (forgetting that just a few years ago these same professionals were the ones that caused all the problems they are now promising to solve), playing the long game that electing and then discrediting Trump will serve the globalist interests in the longer run. He’s been useful to blame for covid, even though it is very likely that Covid was an invention of the globalists who have also purposely withheld information that HCQ, Vitamin D etc are just as effective as a vaccine. They can blame Christians for the virus and discredit HCQ all in one move.
Pope Francis unfortunately seems to be very easy to manipulate because he seems to know little to nothing about economics, law, energy, the environment etc but is very anxious to proclaim on all these things. He does at least repeat what the church teaches on most of these things and brings Catholic social teaching in at least sometimes. That won’t prevent the globalists from betraying him when he is no longer useful to them, but hopefully at least some people learned some things about how the Church sees universal brotherhood.
The tech people and those like Gates I think really do believe that a secular utopia is possible, and is their job to bring about. They too will probably be discarded by the one who does not share power..
We will need to be vigilant as things speed up..

I think it’s critical to keep a mind on God and what we CAN do, and if he sees fit to allow some goof to get in our space and put us face first into the dirt, what of it? That’s just the sort of place a fella ought to think that he has is foe right where God wants them. A little grit and good earthy smell can provide a surprising amount of clarity and fortitude.

I do not think anyone “allowed” Trump to be President. I think that everyone of the New World Order was completely shocked. I am sure they had a lot of fraud in the voting even then, so to STILL lose kept HRC up at night, writing books, and trying to explain things on her tours. Their response to his election was to come up with plans to undermine Trump even in 2016. The false dossier, the illegal FISA warrant, the impeachment against Trump (for moves the Ds actually made). They simply thought that they would “take care of the problem.” They failed and, hopefully, they will again. (They really upped their dark game of fraud.) I am sure there have been several assassination attempts that no one outside of the Secret Service has known about…….. I do not watch the news. I do not believe a single thing they are are told to say. It is manipulation. They are trying to condition the masses to accept the end they want. It started on election night! Amazing that so many of our institutions are infected. It is the Saul Alinsky way. If you have not read it, you should.
