Prayer Requests

Praying Hands with Beads
Praying Hands with Rosary Beads and Dove

On this page, readers are invited to send in their prayer requests. I will leave requests up for nine days. All readers are invited to pray for those who ask for it and any who want to offer a word of comfort are invited to do so, as well. May we work together to mutually build each other up and support each other in times of trial.

      1. Praying for your daughter, her friends, as well as you Mom. This is such a hideous evil movement that keeps growing in where they are trying to make the youngest of kids think it is all normal.

    1. Starboy’s Mom, I’m praying for your daughter, her friends and all young people who are confused these days. Also praying for our country and the entire world for an end to this evil. God bless you.

  1. I am in need of some prayers. I have been experiencing pain (maybe esophagus or stomach) when I eat/drink. I cannot eat or drink much at one time. I will go see a doctor today at our local hospital. I need strength to endure this trial. My anxiety kicks in whenever I have a serious health concern. I have been praying for the grace to trust in God and to accept this suffering for the good of my loved ones. Thank you for praying. God bless!

  2. Please pray for ++ MISSION S.O.S. ++

This is a tightly-knit group of devout Pro-Life Catholics in Sioux Falls, SD. They are renting an apartment overlooking Planned Parenthood, not 30 feet away, which they converted into a chapel. Every Tuesday night, the men courageously pray the Rosary on the busy street in front of the PP building, while the women simultaneously pray in the chapel upstairs. Then the entire group gathers in the chapel and prays the Chaplet of Divine Mercy together (see photo). Also, they recently held a Eucharistic Procession that encircled the building with the Real Presence — so this PP’s evil days are numbered.

After an article published in the Argus Leader drew attention to them (subscription required: https://www.argusleader.com/search/?q=mission+s.o.s.) they are now under attack and efforts are being made to evict them. They have a lawyer from the St. Thomas More Society defending them. Oorah!

This means these good folks are having a very negative effect on PP’s contemptible business.

    PRAISE GOD!!

The evil one is on the ropes. This is yet another one of his feeble attacks using his human accomplices.

I believe this is the only abortion service provider in the Great State of South Dakota. May we be purged of this scourge.

      1. A lady from that group just shared with me the concerns she had when the article came out. She said she had to stop reading the page because the comments were “so hateful.” Twice I witnessed these folks get taunted and harassed as they prayed outside PP. Of course, those are just the loud ones that get noticed. Probably far many more people support them than is known. 🙏❤️

    1. Patrick, I’m praying for these good people. I was out in St. Paul yesterday with a couple KC’s and two women from our parish, praying in front of the PP there. Terrible things written on the sidewalk in chalk that we tried to smudge off with our shoes. I won’t repeat what was written, but it was blasphemy. Talk about an evil presence. I was told that there used to be a “chapel” across the street similar to what you describe, but it’s not being used anymore. The worst heckle we got was “Get a job!!” A sidewalk counselor said, “This IS my job!”. Praying for your friends in SD.

      1. My first thought reading your post was of Our Lady crushing the head of the serpent with her heel.

I have the utmost admiration for you and other such ProLife warriors who courageously step into the line of fire for Good.

      2. Remember that the evil one knows who God is. So if you are being harassed you know that God is with you. If the evil had already won he would leave you alone.
When our perpetual adoration chapel door was vandalized with satanic stuff, to me it was very affirming. God is with us!

      3. I recently joined the Confraternity of the Most Holy Rosary as well as this group: https://marianbluewave.com/2019/04/03/what-is-mbw/
I am sent a weekly reminder: Need a quick refresher? The Marian Blue Wave intentions are for an end to all abortion, for the closure of all Planned Parenthood and abortion facilities in the US, and for protection of our Lord in the Eucharist.
Praying for you, Audiemarie, and those prayer warriors in SD.
I took some notes from David Daleiden’s talk in Rapid City (summarized) : 1) pray and ask God for forgiveness of all enemies of life.
        2) ask that any curses be turned into blessings–anything bad aimed at you be turned into blessings.
        3) pray and ask that those blessings would return upon whoever sent them THREE TIMES OVER.
Ask for forgiveness of the enemy (“Father, forgive them…). Take whatever is bad and turn it into something good and make it go even better back onto them because that love and that grace will become irresistible and that can convert them.

          1. Audie, I so need reminders. 🙂 Anyway, a long time ago, I found this blessing and I just printed it off without documenting its source: I bless you with the Blessing of Our Holy Mother and may the Power of the Holy Spirit come upon you; may the Peace, the Love, the Joy, the Healing and the Protection of Our Lord Jesus Christ be with you now and forever!
I was told that those who are so vociferous in their defense of abortion may have encountered it personally and are in deep need of healing. God bless you too.

  6. Please pray for my youngest grandson age 3 who has speech delays. Please pray for the situation he’s been in with his parent’s separation. My DIL moved 2 1/2 hours away from my son with another man. My grandson hasn’t had necessary stability. Now I learned he will be a big brother in February. I just finished going through grandparent’s visitation legal proceedings. Please pray my son and DIL get him the early intervention he needs. They are in denial.

    1. Kayla, praying a PMT for your 3 year old grandson with the intercession of St. Padre Pio and Sts. Francisco and Jacinta Marto. At a very young age, Padre Pio reportedly had visions of Jesus, Mary and his guardian angel. He is said to have thought everyone could see them. 🙂 May your beautiful grandson receive the personal assistance of the Holy Family through the intercession of his guardian angel also.

  7. Please pray for my husband Bob. He is 6 6 and has lost a lot of weight. His usual weight is 175 and he’s down below 160. He has pneumonia and between his initial MD visit and a follow up he had lost 7 pounds in 1 week. He’s had a lot of medical tests with nothing abnormal. Has colonoscopy and endoscopy scheduled mid-Dec. He is double vaccinated and I noticed a loss of energy since then but the weight loss was happening before that. We are pretty anxious.

In addition, I have never fully recovered from COVID last winter and I am having cyclical feelings of malaise when I want to have strength to care for Bob. So I ask prayers for myself also. Thanks again for all the prayers offered for me when I was sick.

And a final request: our granddaughter Melody has some behavior issues. She is in a Catholic school and is in real danger of being kicked out if she doesn’t improve.

  9. Please offer a prayer on behalf of my dear niece, Hunter. Just days ago, she passed her national teachers exam, after a few failed attempts, and is now in surgery for what we’ve been told is appendicitis. Fortunately my sister is at work at the same hospital and my BIL is there too now. Hunter is 22 years old I was told she was in tears. They had no time to process what was ailing her. This all just happened so fast, as these acute conditions warrant immediate medical attention. Thank you. ❤

  10. Please join in praying a nine day novena for the overturn of Roe vs Wade. The U.S. Supreme Court will be hearing oral arguments in a case that could result in its reversal starting Dec. 1. Please pray at least five decades of the Rosary followed by this prayer:

O Mary, Mother of the Unborn,
protect the gift of human life which your
Divine Son has allowed to be given.
Give strength and joy to all parents as
they await the birth of the precious
    child they have conceived.
Give courage to those who are fearful,
calm those who are anxious and guide
all of us, with your motherly care,
to treasure and protect the miraculous gift of human life.
We ask this through your Son,
    Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

  18. Prayer Request from Sr CatherineWybourne, aka @digitalnun

#CatholicTwitter has a vast an amazing community. I just read this morning that we are losing one of our cherished sisters in the U.K. Benedictine family. Despite the life ending diagnosis, Sr. Catherine is filled with joy and mission.

I share her profoundly positive testimony and ask for prayers on her behalf. ❤

Excerpt ~ "I’m sorry for the times I have hurt or offended people. I think I can honestly claim never to have done so intentionally and hope you will forgive me. Forgiveness and reconciliation achieve much more than division, condemnation or insults, and what our world needs now is surely a more lively sense of our common humanity and a readiness to change."

  21. If you all could pls pray for Fr. M. He has been rapidly re-assigned. What’s worse it was found out in a publication and not direct communication. This priest gives life blood for the poorer community he ministers to. And the little problem of the extraordinary rite. Prayers for the entire situation, which no one understands, and must be complex (problems in the place he’s going to?, etc.) Prayers needed for healing, peace, God’s protection to navigate this minefield according to His will.

      1. TY Beckita & HTTP! Today Fr. said: “to be clear I haven’t been reassigned, I have been removed.” And, the most egregious part, the entire community and priest found out about it after it had been published, by reading about it. It seems it is being done to break our (collective) spirits. But, as Charlie says, “God wins.” The way I see it, when God invites us to suffer, we can either see it for the gift it is or get angry. I pray everyone involved, myself included, may have His grace to tnrs and walk His plain pathways.

  23. Please pray for my husband Tom. He has prostate cancer which has spread to bones and surrounding tissues. Doctors never gave us any hope but we may have found an alternative treatment, good for ridding the body of anaerobic cells. However he is having problems with his eliminations perhaps due to cancer spread, so next couple of weeks until new treatment can start working is critical. Thanks for your prayers.

  24. We officially have Covid in the home. My daughter tested positive and has been sick for 6 days and seems to be getting better. My granddaughter started with fever today, and my throat is now getting scratchy. We have 7 people in our home and I have another daughter who lives upstairs with her husband and 2 sons (the baby is just 5 days old). Please pray that we get through this. I am hoping it’s Omnicron with milder symptoms.

I was wondering if Charlie was keeping track of his oxygen levels when he was sick. I know he refused to go to the hospital, but I’m wondering how low someone’s oxygen might be before they should get supplemental oxygen.

    1. Praying for your family, CDN. I was Charlie’s caregiver for his first 23 days of intense illness… and remember, its intensity was so because he had likely gone into phase 2 of covid when he arrived in my city. I did keep written notes of his O2 levels and while he didn’t go to the hospital, he did have access to supplemental O2 for a while. I can tell you from Father’s past bouts with pneumonia that medical people express concern when levels are below 90. The thing about an oxygen compressor – at least in this country – is that you cannot just go order it up. It’s supplied only with a prescription for its use. I had covid a year before Charlie did and, with supplements, I recovered without need for O2. Just get on top of treating it with the many good remedies mentioned here and in other sane places

  25. I was hoping to piggyback on a prior thread, yet am unable to so I’ll reference our dear Twitter seminarian or priest friend, Austyn Mario, that we highlighted in December here: https://asignofhope379.com/2021/12/07/eager-to-return-to-the-land-of-the-living/comment-page-1/#comment-146101

who is normally a wealth of daily joy and information, was in a serious car wreck this weekend. His brother, Justin, who was the driver and has broken English has been giving sparse updates. At first he said the accident was fatal. I was direct messaged by Charles E. O. @OziboOffical, who appears to be a Nigerian Official stationed in Canada who is also very concerned if I knew how Austyn is doing. I did not and so I asked a fellow Nigerian Twitter pal/priest, Father Bassey @FrEvaristus in a neighboring parish he could let us know his condition. A few moments later Austyn’s brother updated the thread he started for Austyn. https://twitter.com/UgonnaMario/status/1482804637577224197?s=20

Also my sister in law, Jenny and her husband are in Brookings, Oregon, my step sister in law Avrial and her family are in Fort Meyers, Florida and my mother-in-law, Penelope is in Georgia. Jenny is under a tsunami warning, Avrial is under a severe tornado watch, and mom tells us the state of Georgia is in a panic and is paralyzed at the moment due to snow.

Please pray for us. Thank you! ❤

Often, it buoys me. I tell The Lord this and ask Him to take care of you and yours and your intentions. I’ve been told by those with more authority (and I Believe), “He can’t be out-done in generosity”

    1. Father Austyn Mario appears to be back to posting online today! His brother Justin, said yesterday that although he was still in the hospital and was being sent for additional tests to check for internal bleeding, Father was asking about the welfare of his flock. One sweet old disabled woman in particular! All good signs that he is recovering well.

Our neighbor Chris’ family, who are of meager means due to the devastation of chronic illness physically and financially, have chosen to have a private burial followed by a memorial next week in his honor – https://www.friedrichjones.com/obituaries/Christopher-Daschner-Funk?obId=23738565

      1. TY! May I ask, there was a prayer/devotion to Our Lady you once mention for a couple who wanted a baby. Iirc, it involved the Miraculous Medal. Do you remember?

        1. Sure do. It was a story of how a priest, who happened to be seated next to Mother Teresa on a flight, asked her to pray for his niece and her husband who so very much wanted to conceive. Mother said to ask those who would be willing to do so, to speak to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal and simply pray: Please bring ____________ a baby. I was so touched by that story that when a choir member and his wiffe were yearning to conceive, I gave a Miraculous Medal to everyone in the choir and we all agreed to pray that simple prayer for our friends who conceived a child later that year. Here’s a story about St. Teresa’s love for the devotion to Our Lady under this title. And I pray now: Dear Lady of the Miraculous Medal, please bring LL’s daughter and her husband a baby. Amen.
