In the last item today, I will highlight a piece from our friend, Dan Lynch, founder of Dan Lynch Apostolates and tireless promoter of Jesus, King of All Nations, Our Lady of Guadalupe, and Our Lady of America. I have always gravitated towards people who do stuff, who get things done. Too many folks in religious ministries spend too much time talking and not enough time doing. Dan certainly talks the talk – but I admire him because he walks the walk, as well. He promotes processions with images of Our Lady and Our Lord – and he supplies the images to groups across the country.

Last fall, I gave a presentation in Estes Park, Colorado on Saturday, October 16. Earlier in the day, pilgrims with CORAC had made a pilgrimage at Mt. Meeker – and Dan supplied a beautiful image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. That morning, before the presentation, I wrote the piece, “Fatima Unfolds Before Our Eyes.” It was unusual because usually I spend days or weeks mentally composing pieces before I begin writing. But this one came all of a piece that morning. I intended to make it the heart of my presentation – but did not have a way to print it out. I figured no problem, I would just pull it up on my phone at the presentation.

The image of Our Lady of Guadalupe was prominently displayed at the hall where the talk was held. I pulled up the text I wanted and used it. I noticed that some of our organizers seemed startled by my action – and could not figure out why. Ha! If someone is going to be startled, it is usually because of something I say, not something before I begin talking at all. After the talk I found out the reason for the quizzical looks was because where I was speaking there was no internet service or cell phone service – so I should not have been able to pull up anything on my phone. I laughed and gave a big thanks to Our Lady of Guadalupe for helping me – and a little thanks to Dan Lynch for providing the magnificent image of her for this talk.

Through many little acts of faith, we are weaving the fabric of faith anew together, which is the true foundation of our culture.

This weekend many on the left are planning a “mostly peaceful” protest at Catholic Churches around the country to vent their anger at the possibility of the overturning of Roe v Wade. The left is as angry now as 19th Century American southerners were when the nation insisted they must free the slaves…or the German high command when forced to quit murdering Jews and other people they didn’t like…or as the Chinese officials will be if they are ever forced to stop murdering Uighurs and starving the people of Shanghai. Demonic powers are most frenzied and violent as they approach the precipice of their defeat.

It is good that Churches should prepare for this by having burly men at the entrances and on the aisles to respond quickly if the “peaceful” protests by the left suddenly become fiery – as usual with that crowd. The magnificent Fr. Dwight Longenecker had a great suggestion, too:

Planning for protests at your Catholic Church on Sunday: Get some of your folks to bake a batch of cookies, and if protesters show up get the children to give the cookies to them and say, “Thank you for coming to Mass today.”

Some places will, undoubtedly have some hissing and snarling. That’s what demonic acolytes do. As for us, to paraphrase St. Padre Pio, “Pray, hope, and don’t worry” – but be prepared. Update – A Priest friend suggested that this would be a great time for the Knights of Columbus to mobilize to protect our Churches. I heartily concur!

I have long been fascinated by Russian history. It is kind of a cousin to American history, but written in tragedy and grief. I have taken notice, though, that events in 1916 in Russia and 2022 in America are WAY too close for comfort.

In 1916 in Russia, though she was not the sovereign, Czar Nicholas’ wife, Alexandra, was calling a lot of the shots. Problem was, she was completely crazy and obsessed. She successfully pushed for the appointment of the most mendacious mediocrities to high office – who proceeded to loot the country while mismanaging everything and proclaiming themselves geniuses. No matter how bad things became, the officials deflected, blaming others or bizarrely claiming that the misery they engendered was actually success. This process accelerated dramatically when the delusional Nicholas went to take charge of Russian troops in the war personally – overruling his commanders routinely and creating chaos on the front. When the mismanagement led to severe, crisis-level food shortages, it didn’t phase the duplicitous officials Alexandra had gotten into office a bit. They had theirs, after all, and were content so long as the gravy train kept rolling for them.

Everyone except top Russian officials knew the country was on the verge of revolution. Maurice Paleologue, the French Ambassador to Moscow, wired his superiors that, “Anything is preferable to the state of anarchy that characterizes the present situation…I am obliged to report that, at the present moment, the Russian Empire is run by lunatics.” The reaction of the lunatics in charge to growing public discontent was to try to clamp down harder on the people and punish them for any criticism of the regime. People of substance worried less about whether there would be a revolution and more about when it would come. A newspaper editor in Moscow wrote that everything was seething and that he feared that, “…the tighter the government screws down the top on the cauldron, the bigger the explosion is going to be.” (See pages 31-32 of Red Victory: A History of the Russian Civil War by W. Bruce Lincoln)

See a few parallels? We have our own Alexandra (better known as AOC) pushing hard that the solution to the problems her ilk have fostered is to do more of the same thing that brought the problems on. Our economy is diving into a tailspin while our Rasputins tell us that grooming children is a good thing, there is no way to tell a man from a woman, and that free speech is a threat to “our democracy.” The government tries to screw down the top on the cauldron with the establishment of a Ministry of Truth and a Dept. of Environmental Justice.

When the revolution came, folks didn’t even realize that was what it was for a few days. Seven thousand starving women who worked at a textile mill started a protest seeking at least subsistence wages on Feb. 23, 1917. By dark, the protest had grown to 70,000 people – and by the weekend it was at a quarter of a million. Of course, Russian officials had the police and the army to enforce their will…until a few days into it the local army garrison joined the protesters, vastly outnumbering local police who, bit by bit, joined the revolutionary forces as well. Top officials thought they were tamping down dissent. Actually, they were drying out the kindling.

Within a week, the revolutionary forces had taken effective control and the Czar had abdicated. Leaders of opposition to the regime in the Duma (the Russian legislature) took control, which they confusedly shared with the Soviets (local “people’s councils”) that popped up. But the formal “revolutionary” leaders in the Duma were timid men. Russians were delighted to be free of the demented oppressions of the last Czar, but the society had no clear direction other than that. In October, Lenin and his forces seized control from the Duma and over the Soviets – and the prolonged national nightmare of the Soviet Union began in earnest.

I can’t help but wonder if the French Ambassador to the U.S. has recently written to the home office that, “I am obliged to report that, at the present moment, America is run by lunatics.”

Chastisement Protection Prayers, Promises, Medal and Image

On March 8, Jesus King of All Nations revealed this message,  

Once more I say that this image and devotion of mine were revealed for these times. Times that will witness the greatest punishments seen thus far upon the earth because of the tremendous sin that covers it. … 

Do not fear my children for I AM with you to save you. Come before my image and pray my prayers. Wear my medal. Acknowledge to all that I AM the True King of all peoples; of all nations! 

 

Jesus revealed His devotion, precisely for these times of secular “wokeness” that have brought these chastisements upon us. He revealed His protection prayers and promises and his medal and image in order to avert or mitigate these chastisements that He has prophesied to correct the conscience of mankind as an act of his justice and mercy and to bring humanity back to a relationship of love with Him. He has also prophesied a Great Renewal of the Holy Church, of Mankind, and of All Creation. This should give us hope.  

The original messages and revelations were granted the Nihil Obstat that is a declaration that they are free from doctrinal and moral error, that they contain nothing that is contrary to faith or morals. Bishop Enrique Hernandez Rivera D.D., Bishop of Caguas, Puerto Rico, granted the Nihil Obstat on August 15, 1993. The bishop said that he recognized “the need to foster more devotion to Our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ, True King of All Nations.” No bishop or other Church authority has condemned the revelations or issued a negative judgment on them.  

Jesus King of All Nations said, “In these times, only one thing will be given as a remedy. I myself AM that remedy!” (Journal 159). “I have told you of the remedy, that of the public practice of my Devotion and veneration of my Image.” (Journal 671).   

Bishop Robert Barron wrote, “A king is one to whom total allegiance is due, one who is not subject to the people but who rather commands and orders them. If the way of Jesus is to prevail over and against the enormous power of the way of the world, He must be acknowledged as King and Commander – and we must be willing to march in His army.”

Jesus King of All Nations has now prophesied a GREAT CHASTISEMENT because of unrepentant sinful humanity. He said, “Let it be known and made clear, that soon, very soon, there shall come upon mankind the Great Chastisement which has been prophesied for many years yet held back by the most powerful intercession of my immaculate mother and the prayers and sacrifices of my faithful ones.” (Journal 420).  

He said, “Awake! Lift up your heads my people! Do you not see the signs all around you?! A great catastrophe is about to befall you!” (Journal 664).  

He said, “It is for your good, O mankind, that I allow my justice to be poured out in order to awaken your conscience and correct your sinful behavior.” (Journal 414).

  1. That’s an eerie looking image of the earth, Charlie. It reminds me of Servant of God Maria Esperanza’s oft’ repeated concern: “The earth’s core is unstable.” I, then, consider Genesis 1:28 and it makes sense to me that the gravity and magnitude of the sins in our evil times have made their impact on this Storm, including the earth’s core becoming unstable. Then, too, the timeless truth: “Behold! I make all things new!” rises in contemplating these things and I’d be surprised if God left anything in His creation untouched in the Renewal even now underway. The word, “unfathomable,” comes to mind. And we get to partner with God in His Magnificent Plan.

    Oh yes the parallels, between Czar Nicholas’ reign in Russia and Biden’s usurped-power-reign in our USA, are there. In fact, it seems fitting and timely to consider contemplating the Rules of Regency in light of what is transpiring before us and around us.

      1. We shall see, Linda, what actually transpires. 🙂 I know it’s pure wisdom to hold everything loosely with open hands. What God wills, what He allows, how authentic prophecies are actually meant to be fulfilled (often NOT how mere humans interpret them), what has been offered in forms of mitigation and what surprises Abba will release in time must keep us all in the spiritual mindset of total surrender to and reliance on Him – with the comfort of clinging to Our Lady, Stella Maris – as we walk in God’s Providence and walk out His Plan for each of us, with everything unfolding within the context of His Greater Plan for all mankind and His Creation. We just have to hit the mark of embracing a mature spirituality, willing to take up our crosses while offering whatever discomforts and sufferings will emerge for the sake of saving as many as we can touch who will be seeking the HOPE we have in Christ. In fact, every saint had purification aplenty in their lives which opened a storehouse of graces to go about doing God’s Will and reclaiming souls for Him, the fulfillment of all our desires.

    1. Charlie, as much as I respect Fr. Longenecker, I think he’s dead wrong on this issue and that SanSan is correct in saying that his cookie idea is nuts. The crazed, demonic leftists who would enter a church for the express purpose of disrupting a Mass could well become violent, and might well be armed. What prudent father or mother would let those madmen anywhere near their children, let alone send their children toward the door in order to offer cookies to the infiltrators?

      The pastor at our parish got word of Ruth Sent Us’s plan, and he has contacted the parish’s Knights of Columbus council in order to work out something. I can’t imagine that our pastor or any of our good Knights would think it prudent or safe to let kids get close to those who are clearly entering the building with malevolent intent. Real men put themselves between malefactors and children, rather than putting children between malefactors and themselves.

      Perhaps Fr. Longenecker was being facetious; this situation, however, is no laughing matter. If he was serious, then I submit that he is naive. In either case, I believe that he is suggesting irresponsible behavior that has a not insignificant probability of placing children in harm’s way.

      1. Both you and SanSan are right on this one, Mick. It is a clever retort IF we were dealing with honorable dissenters. But to send children into a pack of protesters who literally are there trying to intimidate us into keeping their ability to kill children unchallenged would be foolhardy, indeed. They are savages.

        1. Some program on Fox news reported “stipends available” regarding recruiting protesters for Supreme Court members. I imagine that would apply to all other protesters too ie. they would be payed to protest.

          1. That’s how it’s often done all right. Just think of the numbers of arrested and jailed “protesters” representing Antifa and BLM were not only initially paid, but also set free from jail by high level Dems bailing them out.

        When I first read it I thought oh how cute. Then reality smacked me-are you nuts-these people want unborn and even some born babies DEAD.

        1. Ha on the cane! When I was a little boy, before I started school, we had a neighborhood bully who bothered everyone. My Mom was relentless that I must not fight, no matter what. So I put up with it. But then, I broke my arm badly one Easter and was put in a cast. The bully picked on me again. I explained to him that he should come after the cast was off. He picked on me anyway. I was shocked and saw red that he would pick on a kid in a cast. Couldn’t help myself. I whaled the tar out of him with my cast. It was a blessing for the neighborhood: he never picked on anybody who was with me or was known to be my friend again.

            I only ever got in one fight. It was in second grade. A group of boys used to bully me on the playground and hurl racial epithets at me. One day I snapped and took on the ringleader, a kid who looked exactly like the little boy on the 1970s Campbell’s soup label (hilariously, he had a twin sister who looked exactly like the girl on the label). He was on the ground in two seconds. Not only did none of those boys ever bother me again; but from that moment on, we all became friends for the remainder of our school years together (and I went grades 1 – 12 with most of them). 🙂

      4. We are all children of God. I, for one, as a child of God have no fear of offering cookies to these other misguided children of God. It reminds me of St, Francis of Assisi going to North Africa to preach the Good News to the Muslims.

        The devil would prefer that we children of God be divided.

        1. To pick an important nit…the Bible does NOT say we are all children of God. Rather, it says we are all given power through Christ’s sacrifice to BECOME children of God. (John 1:12) We must choose to exercise this power by following Him (or, if ignorant) following the good as best we can. St. Paul further adds that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, that the perishable does not inherit the imperishable. (1 Cor. 15:50) I am prickly on this because popular culture’s misquoting of this makes them think they are relieved from any effort to respond to God’s gift. They are not excused – and if they do NOT seek Christ and the good to obtain what He has gained and offered freely to us, they are not children of God, but children of perdition. I get most agitated by those popular twistings of Scripture that can seduce so many to their own destruction – and this is a big one.

      I only know that when seeing, confronting and/or defending from assaults from our adversaries, me and my ilk are way beyond cookies… as a matter of balance.

  4. My ancestors were German-Russians (really, just Germans who moved to Russia) and they “escaped” in 1914, coming to America for a better life. I had no idea about this history, Charlie, and really appreciated knowing it! And, at the same time, appalled at the similarity of our current government. What’s the quote? Those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it?God help us.

    1. Building a network of local organizations that will work to establish peace and reason locally is the MAIN strategy. That they are affiliated with and know each other will be the means by which we can slowly rebuild national unity. But I would not beguile you that it will be an easy task or without predatory, ambitious power-seekers trying to stop a coalition of neighbors.

  8. An astute and timely article, Charlie. As citizens of a country that may well be about to collapse, we’d be the last to recognize its ultimate demise. Yet, all we need to do is look at history, just as you’ve done by observing the events preceding the Russian Bolshevik revolution.

    Looking at biblical examples, God had to send an outsider, Jonah, to warn the Assyrians that their Empire was teetering on the edge of an Abyss. They repented upon hearing Jonah’s God given message of impending doom. Yet, judgement of their atrocities was only delayed for 40 years, a time often used by God as a period of waiting to allow a generation to pass from prominence.

    In America, we have now allowed abortion to continue for 50 years. As a consequence, a 63 million death toll now stands against us, both here in the USA, and in Heaven. Even if the Supreme Court’s 5-4 vote banning our own Reign of Terror is allowed to take effect, abortion will still be free and legal in any State that wants it to continue.

    It’s not as if we haven’t been warned of the danger of our evil ways. Every Pope and major Evangelical leader has been opposed to killing unborn children. As a nation, just like the citizens of Nineveh (the capital of Assyria), we must wholly repent of our sins, or else face the same fate as Assyria – sudden, unexpected destruction.

I’m not sure if the Rocky III movie premiered there or what, but my husband and his friend ran into Mr. T. coming out of the theater and had never seen or heard of him before. His friend asked him, “Who ARE you?” Mr. T. replied, “I’m Mr. T., and you need to leave, fool!”. He had quite the image! My husband said they respected his space. 😉 tee hee

        I’ve never been to the RenCen. In fact, I haven’t been to Detroit but 5 or 6 times in my life; I don’t like big cities (and anything over about 50,000 is a big city to me). And once they tore down Tiger Stadium and built the thing they use now, what’s the point in my going? 🙂

        1. Thank you, SanSan. I actually have eight children, but my oldest joined God 21 years ago at the age of eight, on May 13, 2001. Her death changed a lot of the ways I raised my others–first and foremost was to not fear death, as long as our journey is always on the path of God’s Will. The graces God gave us during that time keep me grounded in my faith now when this world gets overwhelming. He took such great care of us that I know I can trust Him to get us through this next chapter.

          4. Amen, Jewels. I lost two babies in one year due to ectopic pregnancies. I was crushed to say the least. I was offered IVF by the doctor, but said no bc I knew, that it was not God’s plan to make babies with a 3rd party, plus the destruction of embryos in the process. I thanks God for the grace He gave me at that time to resist all temptations. I wanted a big family like yours, but God had other plans. One day I would be helping unwed mothers have their babies. My wanting more children became a reality through all of the women and children He brought my way. God is good, all the time.

  24. I had to smile at what happened at my church on Sunday. It was the Knights of Columbus Rose for Mothers’ Day which meant that each entrance would have Knights standing there “selling” roses. The door I exited had four Knights who had been in the pews adjacent to the doors now standing elbow to elbow with roses in a bucket of water. Awesome. 🙂

  27. I’ll be honest, I think we are an economic crash away from becoming a 3rd world country in many ways. In other ways we are already there, as the protesting at Supreme Court homes demonstrates. In a lot of 3rd world countries government officials have to live in secure compounds to protect them from violent mobs and assassination. I’ve been to quite a few 3rd world countries, and see how things there work. I also can’t help but notice we are on that road. For example:

    Crumbling infrastructure
    Unreliable systems
    Highly corrupt government at all levels
    Power through patronage
    Cities where the wealthy require private security and live in houses surrounded by razor wire, walls and electric fencing (even in nice areas)
    Government officials live in highly secure compounds to protect them from violent mobs
    Control of communications
    Minimal trust in contracts or other written law
    Arbitrary enforcement of law
    Random shortages and supply breakdowns
    Banditry
    Lynch mobs replacing official justice
    Banks and jewelry stores protected by private security armed with assault rifles
    Uzi-carrying security patrolling wealthy areas

    These are all daily life for some places. Am I wrong in thinking this is our current trajectory?

    1. Amen, Lake. In making this list of what’s developed and further crumbles, you are describing prophecies unfolding before our eyes. I think, too, of how societies throughout salvation history have crumbled in their days. Such a motley, stiff-necked people are we humans… throughout the ages. Here we are, once again. As a majority, we too often have turned our backs on God – just as we have been doing in our age – and spurn the Covenant He made with us, forcing His Hand of Justice, the very same Hand of Mercy, to discipline us by allowing us to feel the consequences of what we have done. As Charlie has said before: It’s all coming down like Babylon. And so it is. Amazingly, Abba is a Father who intervenes to rescue us from the very messes we ourselves craft. And so it is now. SO grateful for ASOH and CORAC with the ways we have marked ourselves as on God’s side, embracing His ways, and we’re already participating in the Renewal of what is not only coming down, but is so rotted that it MUST come down, giving way to rebirth… and this time, it’s a civilization built on a foundation of Love. Oh we will suffer much. That we will. I’d rather suffer while partnering with God for something good than to suffer because of a direct hit from evil.

    2. Lordy Lake, I wish you were wrong on the trajectory, but you are right on target. It’s almost like we are following a bloody script – a very old script.

      I think most involved with us see it now, but I had a different idea than most thought when I founded CORAC. Organizing to oppose the dysfunction was never my main priority – though I did not object if that was the main priority of others. In the last month I have had two people who previously thought I was warning of collapse as a means of motivating people to work harder to stop the dysfunction say to me in astonishment, “Everything really is going to collapse, isn’t it?” I took my cue on this on how the Lord handled speaking of His upcoming crucifixion with His disciples – with a VERY light touch. He was candid with them but knew that its necessity was outside the scope of what they could process – so He did not push them as long as they lived fidelity to the work before them. From the start, my priority was on building the basic infrastructure so we could begin to rebuild anew and effectively resist the rise of rival warlords controlling things, a la Mad Max.

      What is has become so thoroughly corrupted it must perish before what is new and honorable can truly rise. It is doing a perfectly fine job of destroying itself so it most assuredly does not need my help. That is also why I have never emphasized some huge recruitment drive. As things continue their collapse, people will gravitate to what we are doing because it offers the best means out there of collaborating with others to build something true. While some worry about how to up recruitment, my worry has been more on how to handle the flood of new members coming in when we reach critical mass and people know that the old is too rotten to be salvaged. I have been candid about it, but I have never pushed it, knowing that people have to see with their own eyes – and that it is a comfort to kid themselves that what is is still salvageable. Over the decades I was allowed false hope at times because the Lord knew I was not ready to process the full reality without despairing, so I have tried to emulate His method. But that which is right now is all going away. Better that we begin to rebuild before it is entirely gone without being overly distracted by the spectacle of its gaudy, ongoing collapse. You have assessed the situation well.

      Someday people will understand that “Acknowledge God, Take the Next Right Step, and Be a Sign of Hope to Those Around You,” was not designed as a soothing slogan, but as the essential instruction manual for these times – a manual that is easily memorized and carries all the tools we need for the renewal.
