The Widening Gyre

Whirlwind – Leonardo Nierman

By Charlie Johnston

I will be home later this week and expect to get back to a more regular publishing schedule. When I got on the road last November, Donald Trump was president, gas was a dollar a gallon cheaper, and Americans were not being arrested or declared “domestic terrorists” for having the ‘wrong’ opinion. Good times, those were.

*********

When I was a sophomore in high school, my class counselor, Mr. Erdmann, was a wonderfully wise and funny man who provided me a lot of good counsel during that formative time. We talked two or three times a week, as friends. It is great to have a wise mentor at that age.

One day, enraged by a teacher who wrongly targeted a kid he had a grudge against for something the kid clearly did not do, I burst into Mr. Erdmann’s office loaded for bear. I wanted to take the teacher down and was ready to create a huge demonstration and protest. Though Mr. Erdmann kept trying to calm me so we could have a more thoughtful conversation, I wasn’t having any of it. Finally, out of nowhere, he reared back and punched my elbow off his desk. Immediately and instinctively I cocked back my other arm and made a fist. “See Charlie,” he said, “I know you think the world of me, but when you are hit, your first reaction is to hit back – even against someone you think the world of. Sometimes you have no choice but to fight, and I know you are always willing to do so on a matter of right and wrong. But it should always be the last resort, not the first. And you are smart enough to figure out how to resolve most disputes without a fight. I expect you to do it.”

That caught my attention. We did handle it differently and effectively, eventually obtaining an apology from the teacher and learning, in the process, that his son had been killed recently and he was still working through the waves of grief and anger in the process. I was profoundly grateful that my counselor helped me to devise an approach that resolved the situation, cleared my friend, and did not further hurt a man who was already hurting quite badly. It was a formative episode that sticks with me, even now, and that I will never forget.

Last week, over at Church Militant, Michael Voris wrote a piece on the hypocrisy permeating the Diocese of Dallas where a pregnant mother, suffering morning sickness, had the police called on her by an unhinged Priest at her own Parish because she would not put on a mask – even though she had already moved away from other people in the pews while trying to catch her breath. While refusing to publicly comment or to correct the errant Priest, Dallas Bishop Edward Burns attended a fundraising cocktail party at which all attendees, including him, were maskless. Prominently named in the article were the well-to-do hosts. Someone in their circle was disturbed by the hypocrisy and captured several photographs. It did not make anyone involved look good.

Now I am informed that an organizer of the cocktail party has sent out a nasty, if somewhat incoherent, email rant targeting Deirdre Hairston, the young mother who the police were called on. I have not seen the email, but have had it read to me. Two parts jumped out at me. First, it called Hairston an “entitled heiress.” It is a nasty attack, though Hairston is the daughter of an influential and well-to-do family. I know her and her siblings, all of whom are completely down-to-earth with a solid work ethic who passionately champion those things they believe in. Her parents have done a magnificent job of raising an entire family that, despite many advantages, have no hint of entitlement. Then, bizarrely, the email pharisaically boasts that the folks at the cocktail party have a “seat at the table” while Hairston has her place on the sidewalk. Hairston often prays and demonstrates outside abortion clinics, so that is the sidewalk the author is presumably referring to, though it is a particularly vicious slur – and rather severely undercuts the “entitled heiress” line earlier in the missive.

St. Thomas More is, perhaps, the most prominent example of a saint coming from the table of power – though he didn’t reach saintly heights until he refused to participate with power in committing injustice. The fact remains, though, that saints are more easily formed on the sidewalks than in the boardroom. The complaints voiced in this email are eerily similar to the complaints the Pharisees had against that itinerant Preacher in the desert and His band of nobody Apostles some 2,000 years ago.

I am getting reports from some credible sources that the Bishop is encouraging smears against Hairston as a trouble-maker and rabble-rouser. I pray these reports are not true. I am going to assume, for the time being, that these are people who are just instinctively hitting back wildly after being hit with some most unfavorable publicity. It is the Bishop who is best positioned to de-escalate this. Unless he is prepared to diminish himself as a part of a faction in the Diocese rather than head of the whole Diocese, I am confident that Bishop Burns is formulating an approach to put this behind everyone.

If I were advising the Bishop I would suggest two things to wrap this up.

First, re-assign Fr. Milton Ryan, who escalated the whole situation in the first place. He has since been adamant that he will have Hairston arrested for trespassing if she dares set foot in her home Parish again for any reason, and reportedly is still sliming her to everyone he encounters. Send him to a spot where he has no routine contact with the public. That will send the message that you will not accept your Priests preying on the flock rather than ministering to them – and petty displays of bullying pregnant Moms are, indeed, a form of preying on the flock.

Second, have a luncheon at that Parish honoring notable volunteers in the area who have done good work for the Church and the Diocese. Make sure that Hairston is among those honored for her tireless work on behalf of pro-life causes AND that the hosts of the cocktail party are honored for their notable financial support of the Diocese. If the Bishop is seen publicly honoring these folks from different camps, among others who have performed notable service, he can begin to reunite the Diocese in a way that reminds all that we are all different parts of the same body, united in Christ.

As a bonus, since Texas has lifted all mask mandates, perhaps the Bishop could instruct his Priests to reserve one side of each Church for those who choose masks and another side for those who don’t…or have a Mass that is masked only and others that are mask optional. That would both de-escalate the divide AND respect the actual science and the law.

Colombia has degenerated into civil war. Whether or not it will slip back into quiescence under heavy government violence or not remains to be seen. But it has passed from protest to war. A few days ago, the entire city of Santa Marta was in flames. I know this from some very sparse media reports, but more importantly, from sources who are in Colombia.

It is not that war has broken out that puzzles me; that has been building for two years and seems inevitable. My conundrum is why the media and the American foreign policy establishment seem determined to pretend it is not happening at all. I would hazard that not one in a hundred people on the street in America even know there is a problem in Colombia, much less that it is going full Venezuela in real time. Perhaps it is because the peasants are revolting against cronyism, the destruction of the economy and their jobs, and the imposition of murderous new taxes to fund all the government fantasies in that country. Colombian citizens have figured out that when leftist idealists talk of equality, they mean tearing the successful down, not raising the needy up; that government spending never goes “for the people,” but always to the cronies of a small elite at the top – and it is the people who pay for it; that the rules are only for the lowly citizens, never for the elite.

I think American media and leftist Democrats want to keep this quiet because it hits too close to home – and they are not nearly as confident as they say in their screams that they can pacify and subdue Americans.

*********

Why are Democrats and the media acting like vampires confronted with holy water in trying to shut down the audit of the votes in Arizona? They are even risking contempt of court citations by refusing to produce the routers that were used for reporting election results. It’s simple. They’re guilty and they know it – and are terrified that Arizona will set a precedent for other states. Then their fraudulent occupation of the federal government will come crashing down. If they were innocent, they would be the biggest boosters of audits to prove the integrity of the election. All their cries of “conspiracy theorist” and “domestic terrorist” have only served to inflame themselves and silence the preternaturally timid.

While calling groups such as Oathkeepers and the Proud Boys “domestic terrorists,” they are busy bailing out and dropping charges against the actual domestic terrorists of Antifa and BLM – you know, groups that have actually torched buildings and businesses, assaulted and even killed innocents, and promise to commit more mayhem all through the summer. Name me one time that either the Oathkeepers or the Proud Boys initiated violence. Their only crime is that they will not knuckle under to the media and government narrative – which is the only thing those that occupy the halls of power in Washington consider a crime anymore.

You can see the battle lines forming and the troops quietly gathering. A terrible clash is coming. At stake is whether we will become a neo-fascist oligarchy or renew ourselves as a free republic. The one thing I like is that the pagan left leaves no room for neutrality. Everyone must choose whom they will serve and publicly declare themselves. Almost all the institutions have already chosen the side of neo-fascism, many simply because they think that is the side that is winning. It will be ugly, it will probably be bloody, but God wins. I have been startled the last few weeks at how many sober, serious writers now assume the country is going to come apart. Those who say it won’t sound increasingly like they are whistling past the graveyard, expressing their hope rather than what they actually expect.

*********

The media and the left went nuts when Tucker Carlson finally spoke of the incredible number of people who have died within a few weeks of taking the gene therapy jab called a vaccine. That number is now up to 4,100 in the United States and is taken from the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (or VAERS), which has been used by doctors AND the CDC for over three decades to help assess the safety of new drugs. That number is higher than the number of such deaths from all vaccines combined for the last 15 years. It is still a small number overall, but it is clearly a problem that the CDC and other boardroom doctors did not anticipate. And it is only a short-term problem. Not a long-term problem. Those may start to become apparent during the summer. Still, the left’s cry is, “Stop asking questions. Just shut up and take the ‘vaccine’!” The pagan left just love themselves some junk science.

I insist that we on the right act with steady sobriety, analyzing the data to give good information that is grounded in actual science and fact. The media jumped on an MIT study showing that you still have risk of catching viruses at even 60 feet of distance – and that the six-foot recommendation does not stop the risk. The idiots in newsrooms said that meant your risk of infection is as great at sixty feet as at six, presumably to support full lockdowns. But that is not what the study said at all. It based much of what it said on the rule of dispersion to say that six feet, or even sixty, does not eliminate risk. Let’s translate it to mosquito infestations. Let’s say that, in a hot spot, you have 120 mosquitoes around you per square yard. Sixty feet away, you have three mosquitoes per square yard. The distancing does not end the risk – but any idiot knows that the risk of being bitten when there are only three/sq. yard is much smaller than when there are 120/sq. yard. Except, I suppose, idiots who work in newsrooms. What I am most appalled at is that some conservative commentators who clearly know better have used that same framing because they think it serves their purposes. I do not like the politicization and mangling of facts and evidence, period, whether done constantly by the left or occasionally by the right. There is going to be a reckoning for bearing false witness for political purposes. We all make enough mistakes that we should not compound them with intentional malice and, thus, forfeit our credibility.

*********

In Canada, they sent a SWAT team out to arrest a pastor for “inciting” people to attend Christian Worship Services. The videos are just astounding and horrifying. The incredible smugness and complacency of the battalion of police involved is repulsively horrifying. O Canada! How I wish you had remained true to your stated commitment of liberty. O America! How far behind are we to this level of fascist compulsion? O Lord! How long? Must there be an explosion of violence before this ends? Don’t you leftist brutes know any history? Keep sowing the wind and you will indeed, reap the whirlwind.

In a couple of bright spots, the Texas legislature last week approved a heartbeat bill, completely banning abortion after a fetal heartbeat is detected. It also passed Constitutional Carry – empowering all Texans who are not legally barred because of convictions to carry a concealed weapon as a matter of right, without a permit. In Pennsylvania, David Daleiden testified before the legislature about the hideous experiments the University of Pittsburgh has been conducting with fetal body parts and lab rodents. Make sure to check out the video at the bottom of this link. I think it may be the most powerful video Daleiden has yet produced.

  1. Kudos to Mr. Erdmann. And kudos to you, Charlie, for your suggested way forward for Bishop Burns. It’d be awesome if we have reader(s) from his diocese who could share these ideas with him.

That’s a piercing insight concerning lack of coverage on Columbia’s trials. It seems it won’t be long before what’s happening in Columbia will be seen the world over.

Thanks for all your analyses and the links. San San previously shared a link with photos of the human-lab rat experiments. SO sick of Fauci, even while praying for him, and his ilk, out of duty. The accompanying video in your link brings to mind a point you made in the Grace Force interview. Let all the institutions riddled with corruption and putrid evil be as the walls of Jericho and the Tower of Babel. Tumble down! Get behind us, evil spirits! Maranatha!

  3. I will bet everything that the deaths from the jab reported on VAERS is underreported, because it’s not including the elderly in long term facilities that died within 2 weeks of their vaccinations. Those deaths are all hushed with,”They were old,” or “Preexisting conditions.”

I’d love to see a study on elderly jabs/deaths within 2 weeks.

If you’re old, you’re just expected to die, don’t ya know.

And I’d have to sit and count, but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen more deaths from isolation at this point than from Wuhan Flu. In my facility it’s roughly two people a week at this point.

Lord, have mercy on us. How you put up with our cruelty and lack of love astounds me.

In better news we got it put on the county ballot that Murphy should be investigated for his responsibility the NJ nursing home deaths by mandating nursing homes take in Wuhan positive patients.

      1. So far they haven’t mandated it. They have just been rattling the keys. So I’m there for now, until it’s a hard line.

I do plan on leaving as soon as school is done in 16 weeks.

Thank you for remembering and asking!

    1. I tend to agree Briana. A sign of the times would be that over the weekend the Twitter-verse had their bots trending that VAERS is overstated because people are making false reports, hyper-inflating the stats to the credit of anti-vaxxers. Projection 101 right there. Just when you think the non-sense and hype in *their* narratives can’t get any more absurd, *they* prove us wrong.

Lord light our paths and impart in us the graces needed that we may cooperate in ending the madness, I pray. ❤

    3. The VAERS stat is definitely underreported, downplayed, & minimized.

Here’s another stat: 60% of the people getting sick with “covid” already had at least 1 Covid “vaccine”. The big question people should be asking is what kind of health is the 40% in that didn’t get the jab, as the 40% doesn’t represent all the unvaccinated.

    4. BE, I know for sure it us under reported. I know two folks who have died after taking the vaccine. One was the sister of the husband of a couple that sponsored one of Charlie’s talk. She was 70 and died of a brain embolism 2 weeks after the shot. The second was an EMT who worked with the brother in law of a close friend of ours. He died of a heart attack 2 days after the second shot. The fire chief insisted it was not vaccine related and would not report the death as such. If death rates are so low, it us amazing I have hit the lottery twice by knowing of two.

  5. Madness befalls us everywhere, even with people we thought were ‘normal’. And again even with people who
died because of the ‘jab’. My son just told me a story, one of his customers took the jab, became very ill, and his wife, who took it sits all day in a chair just staring into space- for weeks now. No reaction, no movement. Now, that rocks my world. It has taken something away in her mind. The most terrible idea, and yet…they just keep taking it. Thank goodness, Texas passed a bill that no one could be forced in their work place to succumb to it. What have we allowed to happen!!! May our Lord have mercy on our souls. Those precious babies will receive their just rewards. So much sorrow and insanity ~ We must share with our Blessed Mother and Beloved Father. And yes, the anger is building, but they think they can ‘outlast’ that anger, and even
overcome it. Thank you, Colombia for your bravery and example. A thousand pricks in the skin will finally begin to bleed. Hold tight and stay focused. Ave Maria, O’ Blessed Sorrowful Mother.

She is no longer “focused”, seems distracted, no longer answers phone or listens to voicemails. I was shocked that she got the jabs. Time will tell.

  7. I’m seeing and hearing of more and more unvaxxed people reporting very strange things happening to them. This spike protein shedding is real imo. I talked to a woman who runs a hair salon. She has 4 or 5 girls who rent space from her and 90% of their clients are women. I asked her if she hears any talk of monthly cycles getting unpredictably weird. She didn’t even hesitate and said “Oh yeah, lots”. Just this morning I passed by our bathroom mirror and saw what looked exactly like a bad sunburn on my chest, shoulders, and back. It only covered about the upper half of my torso. I haven’t been outside without a shirt in over 20 years. No joke. If this doesn’t go away or starts spreading I’m not sure what to do. Fortunately there’s no associated itching or sensitivity (yet). I’ve never had this and there’s no way it’s some food allergy.
    Anybody else experiencing similar things?

    1. I have not heard or experienced anything first hand, Christopher. I’ve been looking for any credible source to research and determine if massage therapy with people who have been jabbed is contraindicated, either for the therapist and/or the client. So far I’ve only learned that the AMTA that I once paid handsome yearly membership dues to in order to be a professional licensed member, has had extreme mandates for their members not to earn a living.
Due to my 2016 injury, I am no longer licensed and/or under their control; referring to this national association and state regulatory thieves.
I am paying attention and would love some additional feedback from others. Thank you for sharing. ❤

Those who have hypersensitivity reactions to all the vaccines, which is likely to be very rare, may gain some protection from treatments such as the monoclonal antibodies from Eli Lilly & Co. and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Roche Holding AG, or those being developed by AstraZeneca and GlaxoSmithKline Plc with Vir Biotechnology Inc., if shown to be effective.

Also, a new friend had one pfizer shot and then got COVID. He has an angry red rash at his scalp line.

I often wonder the effect of vac+ flu shot + birth control pill etc.

    5. Christopher, yes. It is a real thing. My wife and I had been experiencing ancillary symptoms and couldn’t put a finger on it. I’ve talked to a doctor who is an OBGYN and they agree it seems to be occurring. We can place the beginning of the symptoms to when our relatives got their 2nd shots… it was crazy and we thought we were crazy!!! We have started to try to counteract the effects with pine needle teas (please do the research if you try them, as pregnant women shouldn’t take and some can make you ill). We love it and it is full of great healthy benefits… God bless!

    6. To Chris J and all here, the Pfizer documentation itself (internal reports and so on) say the spike proteins will be spread from vaxxed people to everyone else, and they view it as advantageous in possibly vaccinating unvaxxed people.

Getting the spikes on or in you can indeed cause problems. It appears that a vaxxed person will shed for about 2 weeks, at the outside maybe 4 weeks. The symptoms of this shedding in people who are not vaxxed should fade within a couple days of removing oneself from the presence of vaxxed people, and as far as I can tell, does not have long term impacts. However, I do wonder how the unvaxxed person’s immune system will react. It’s conceivable to me that there could be a kind of vaccination from this.

I have heard that the sunburn and rash sometimes seen in people who have been vaxxed can be gradually soothed away. Go to c60purplepower.com and get a 4 or 8 oz bottle of C60 in whatever oil you want. Rub it on the affected skin 3 or so times during the day. The person who recommends this says that the red skin and rash bumps will slowly fade over the next 3-4 days if it’s going to work for you. C60 is a very powerful anti-inflammatory without any side effects and can be spread on the skin like this or taken internally. Extremely safe. Unfortunately, it is also very expensive, but for a one-time use like this, I gather it is well worth trying. I don’t know of anything else that will help.

Please let me know if this helps you if you try it.

  10. The link CD posted above shows a correlation between the increase in Covid-19 infections and the increase in vaccinations.
This study shows how the immune system becomes “suppressed” by the vaccine for a period of 3 weeks (+-) and opens up a window to infection (which is particularly pernicious for people who already have a natural immunity to the virus and would not have become infected in the first place). It also suggests it creates a pathway for vaccine resistant variants to proliferate by suppressing this natural immunity.
The study mentions many other issues- too numerous to post here and is filled with graphs and charts that are rather extensive, so those who get a headache reading such articles be forewarned!

  12. “Sometimes you have no choice but to fight, and I know you are always willing to do so on a matter of right and wrong. But it should always be the last resort, not the first.”

Wise words, I can feel the tensions rapidly rising, it’s palpable. Everyone is one edge, you should see people scrambling to get gas here in the SouthEast, it’s surreal.

The Holy Spirit put this psalm on my heart last year and I have it set as a daily reminder as I feel it’s very important, as you obviously do as well:
“Be still before the Lord; wait for Him. Do not be provoked by the prosperous, nor by malicious schemers. Refrain from anger; abandon wrath; do not be provoked; it brings only harm.”

  13. It is a time of true testing. I thought my worst trials were over now that I am no longer on the front lines against teens in gangs. Now, it seems, that a lot of teenagers are being taught to be gangsters for the State and I am, sadly, reaching my saturation point. Thirty years ago I was young and enthusuastic and energetic. Now? Let’s just say that the Holy Spirit will have to give me a huge booster to keep me going. Thanks to everyone for their prayers because I know you will pray for the teens suffering under this spiritual oppression, too.
May the Lord grant us all the strength of David Daleiden. What a hero!!!

    1. Thanks again, Chris. This article and it’s references are enough to suggest to me that touch therapy, massage, physical and lymphatic may present a danger to both/and – either/or the provider and their patient/client. Always, err to caution, and do not harm is my stance.
That is a just another measure of human healing and consolation being eliminated by the nefarious results of our sins in these times and it’s heartbreaking. As an intern, I longed to make infant care my therapeutic specialty only to learn that in my state it is illegal to treat/care for babies. The notions and threats of predatory and litigious harm outweigh the virtues and real health benefits again. I’ve been here before and will adapt.
I pray for the slate of sinfulness to be wiped clean and for the wisdom to know what I/we can do in the interim in order to best love and serve one another in God’s plan until then. ❤

    2. Just wondering if the shedding proliferation is highest immediately after the jab, and dissipates over time; or is it constantly shedding…? Worried about having family visit who took the vaccine.

      Liked by 5 people

      1. Maggie, I have heard the shedding lasts for a couple weeks, but to be safe, 4 weeks sounds more than adequate. But that is an estimate. If they visit after a month and you end up with symptoms, that would be unusual. My understanding is that the symptoms should fade in a couple days after exposure, and there appears to be no long-term effects. But again, you will have to monitor that.

            1. Yes, Maggie, I saw that. NAC made the mistake of being noticeably helpful against Covid, so they took it out. I’m not sure what to do about that yet. Since a big benefit it creates is to increase Glutathione in the lungs, it may be that shifting to a Glutathione supplement is the next fallback. I’m also going to keep my eyes open for sites that do still sell it. Also, if necessary, doctors may prescribe it, so some of the online docs who have treated Covid might make it available relatively inexpensively. We’ll see.

  15. Charlie mentioned the gas prices going up, but here on the east coast there are some actual shortages. They say it’s due to Russian hackers breaking into the software for a major pipeline and demanding ransome. Yet I have not heard much of anything in the news about the shortage, just mention of the pipeline hackers. Some online friends in SC tell me the gas stations are completely out. Have you all been having any issues where you all are?

    Liked by 2 people

    1. The issues are broad across the East Coast, Go’S. There was a hack that shut down the Colonial Pipeline. It is not yet known whether that will be a short-term or long-term shutdown…but about 45% of the gas on the East Coast comes through the Colonial Pipeline. There is a preliminary report that the hack came from within Russia, but that is useless right now, for serious hackers routinely hide the origin of their attacks – both to prevent apprehension and to create mischief for innocent parties. Of course, Joe Biden immediately blamed Russia while simultaneously saying he had no evidence that Russia was behind it. Typical malicious incoherence from the occupiers of the federal government. If you can’t blame Trump, blame Russia. But if the issue is not resolved, it will lead to big shortages and huge price spikes across the country.

  17. Great piece, Charlie!!! I meant to write this when this piece came out and life got cooky for me again!😂😂😂 I was cutting a partially frozen chicken breast from a side angle to make this great chicken mayonnaise parmigiana meal and the surgical stainless steel knife cut nicely through my finger! My first surgery to date!!! 😂😂😂 I was even praying to my guardian angel when it happened and after scolding him, offered it up for the person I was thinking about! Lol. So we drove around for like an hour trying to figure out if it needed stitches 🧵 or not. It surely did but It miraculously stopped bleeding just before getting to the er ! Soooooo that’s why I forgot to write to you about this wonderful piece!!! I’m such a woos!!! Dear God a little cut finger really throws your day (or two or three or four????🤔)

Just imagine Our Jesus and His passion!!! I just can’t imagine such love. Thank you Jesus for loving us all to the point of inexhaustible agony!!!

But there are so many pieces to this piece I love I’d have to just copy and paste this whole piece back to you! lol

    Here’s my fav:

“You can see the battle lines forming and the troops quietly gathering. Those who say it won’t sound increasingly like they are whistling past the graveyard, expressing their hope rather than what they actually expect.”

I pray to God the people that are fighting God so hard, turn and choose to serve Him with just as much passion !

Thanks again Charlie! You always hearten me and everyone of us here!!!🥳😇🐶🙏✝️🥰🐿🧵🇮🇱

Infowars was the first to break the Biden election fraud & globalist activities.

The “smoking gun” article had non-infowars video footage & article references that proves the left’s guilt, which is what needs to be focused on followed, not the rambling Alex.

        1. Al, Charlie has given us guidance on how to vet news. There are sources out there that report in a sane way which are between the extremes of the Mainstream Media (the propaganda machine of the Left) and the breathless, exaggerated type of reports at Infowars.

            1. It’s all there in the archives of Charlie’s writing. When you scan the pieces of the last few months, you’ll see various reminders about how to vet things. Another tip is to read the links Charlie provides in his pieces and take note of the writers to whom he often references. Lastly, I repeat: sign up at the CORAC website – corac.co – and scroll down to the bottom of the page to access “Presentation Videos.” Begin with the Feb. 6th video recorded in Cherry Hills, NJ. Over time, listen to every one of them because each has its own focus, although some themes are repeated and it’s so worth the listen to get a grip on what is happening all around us. The Q and A’s are their own Feast of Hope.

News is breaking around the world that the vaccines are deadly poisons, and that 1 dose of these vaccines can reduce a healthy person’s life expectancy to 5-8 years, and the life expectancy is reduced much more with health problems additional vaccine doses.

Trudeau, the Canadian media & social media are facistly pushing “Just take 1 dose of a vaccine if you want to have a summer this year.” Canadians are hurting bad from being locked down so hard, and most Canadians are cluless to the vaccine dangers thinking it’s just another vaccine, because truth about the vaccines isn’t being advertised in mainstream news.

People should be scared if globalists like Trudeau believe just 1 dose is good enough to get the evil job done!

        1. I do understand the fear, Al. People in the country, along with others worldwide, feel the pain… have seen suicide rates increase, domestic abuse increase, and have lost jobs and businesses because of lockdown insanity.

It’s not at all fun to suffer in these ways. Still, our call is to TRUST in the Lord at all times and to be a sign of hope to those around us.

Some sources report that “Fear not” is repeated more than 300 times in the Bible. Well, I think we’ll all feel the fear intermittently as the Storm hits it height. We can choose to cling to fear or cling to our Father, His Son and Holy Spirit. We can make connections with those around us so that there’s support and real solidarity as we all go through whatever God allows.

I say again, I hope people are listening to Charlie’s visit talks as he’s driven around the eastern and southern parts of the US. There’s hope aplenty for people no matter in which country they live. This evil that swirling all around us cannot sustain itself. It WILL exhaust itself. The old disorder MUST come tumbling down to make way for a New Beginning. And we are called to partner with God to bring about the Renewal.

I’m sure there are people here who can share what they do to bring down fear and anxiety. I’ll go first… A most wonderful to connect with God so He can calm us down is through Silence. If it’s something a person doesn’t take a lot of time for, then begin with just 5 minutes a day. Intend to enter into union with God, acknowledging that you’re his creature and HE is our God with ideas, solutions and graces to bestow which are so far above and beyond us. When we draw near to Him, knowing He loves us beyond measure and wants to tend to us in every way, we can actually rest in Him and His Providence for us.

          1. Beckita, I simply just don’t know how to just let a mass murder of billions of unsuspecting victims just happen. Does trusting in God imply I say & do nothing and allow the slaughter?

Our Trudeau-Hitler and his Liberal-Nazis can’t be allowed to get away with these modern Nuremburg crimes.

            Liked by 1 person

            1. No, Al, trusting in God does not imply that you do nothing. But what, pray tell, have you been doing besides moaning how awful everything is and how we’re all gonna die and how much more terrible it is going to be than anyone understands except you, who know that we’re doomed and we’re never gonna make it. We have 1,200 volunteers in CORAC that are actively doing the little they can right in front of them, lighting candles for those around them instead of relentlessly cursing the darkness and bellowing that we’re doomed and we’re never gonna make it. Do you think they don’t know how ugly it is getting? Of course they do – but they choose to do the little they can and trust God to magnify it.

I have watched Beckita gently try to prod you into doing something productive instead of your constant moaning and wailing. And now you repay her by suggesting she is telling you to do nothing? Quite the opposite, she is trying to gently tell you to man up and do something positive instead of an unending stream of caterwauling.

What trusting God DOES mean is to do the little you can right in front of you, to suck up whatever fear you feel publicly so you can inspire those around you – and particularly children – that no matter how dark it gets, all is not lost so long as you do the little positive you can, present it to Christ as the little fish it is, and watch Him feed a multitude with it.

It seems that nothing yet will pierce the gloom and doom that permeates your every sentence here – or your conceit that complaining is the same as doing something. But I will have it no more. There are sites where the main things that people “do” is impotently curse the darkness. This is not one of them. We mobilize people to actually do the little they can. If you can’t start doing something positive, no matter how little, it would be best for you to find one of those sites. I leave it to Beckita whether to cut you off because your tone is so constantly negative and despairing. I respect and deeply appreciate how patiently, gently and with what fortitude she tries to lead people trapped in fear or despair back into positive action and trust. But slap her again like you did with this comment and I will pull the plug on you. For heaven’s sake, man, get a grip and try to do something that gives people around you hope and stirs resolve in them. The rest of the Christian world is really not so stupid that only you can see how bad things are. They just choose to go forth and be a sign of hope rather than a harbinger of doom.

              2. Thank you so much, Charlie.

Al, every word Charlie has written rings true. Every word. Time for change now. I’m remembering a story my late husband told when he was teaching first graders. He had a little girl who cried and cried each day, refusing to engage in class activities because she missed her mother terribly. It was separation anxiety expressed to the hilt. The principal caught wind of what was going on and showed up in the classroom the next morning. When the girl went into her crying spell, the principal yelled, “STOP IT!!!” And she did.

I very much see this as a “Stop It” moment for you. Time to switch gears into positive mode. Time to take seriously the capstone of our comment policy here: “… and all is designed to build up the people of God, not to tear each other down.” WE ALL need building up, for one reason or another, in these days.

                    1. Contemplation calms everything down, Linda and Al. You don’t even need to wait for Adoration time. You can set aside time each day for some Silence. Start with a small amount of time and gradually increase this time of Silence.

“Christ lived for thirty years in silence. Then, during his public life, he withdrew to the desert to listen to and speak with his Father. The world vitally needs those who go off into the desert. Because God speaks in silence.” Cardinal Robert Sarah

I took copious notes on their first Contemplative Prayer Conference which was presented in December last year. There are various ways to contemplate which I’ve been exposed to over the years, yet I really like the DFOT way. There is one book specifically written as a guide, yet, it’s missing a LOT of what was presented at the conference. That said, it IS a beginning point and you can download it for free. 6. Yes! I attended the Dec. 2020 retreat on Contemplative Prayer too. Excellent, as I know plugging directly into Jesus every day for 30 minutes is just what I need as the confusion swirls in the world snd our Church. I also completed the Contemplative Prayer 10 week course with Fr Darragh at DFOT to help me make it a daily habit. I took notes and typed them which are about 30 pages. All great stuff. I definitely want to participate in the zoom call with Beckita.

On another note, I loved Charlie’s comments yesterday to Al. Although Al was the target, most of us needed to hear it too. All the bad news is so destabilizing, and I have been feeling it bad this week after watching the Truth Over Fear Summit last weekend.

My contribution to how we can better navigate the bad news comes from last Saturday’s zoom call with Fr Darragh (DFOT/ARK) 1. Daily Mass if you can 2. Daily family rosary 3. Regular confession (monthly is great) 4. Participate in a prayer group. 5. Daily contemplative prayer.

                    7. You know, Erusha, I have to say that Al wasn’t actually “targeted.” Nah. It was a stern response which was needed because there had been literally months of awfulizing about where we are and what’s to come. Some of the other guys here had also engaged him in an effort to bring about a shift in perspective. I was feeling exasperated myself and remain grateful to Charlie for naming the problems just as he did. As I reflected today, it was past time for boundary setting. We CAN do all things – including this Storm – in Christ Who strengthens us. Thoughts and words have power to create… more fear and anxiety or greater courage and strength.

And I don’t mind sounding like a broken record in urging us all to listen to the CORAC talks which are uploaded to the CORAC website. Charlie’s given us pure gold there, brimming with insight, knowledge, understanding, hope and encouragement.

                  2. Prayer for Inner Peace:

Oh Lord, sometimes my insides feel like a battle zone, where missiles are falling too close to home.

Other times I’m caught in an endless storm, with thoughts flying out of control. Confusion reigns, and defeat creeps in to steal my joy.

I need your peace—the deep-down-in-your-heart kind that stays with me day and night and speaks confidently into the wind.

Calm my anxious spirit, Lord; all the attacking “if-onlys” and “what-ifs” fill me with needless worry.

I know that trust is a big part of experiencing peace and that fear has no place in my life.

Most of the things I worry about or dread don’t even happen.

So I’m declaring my trust in you. I’m releasing the reins of my life again and asking you to take control.

I may need to pray this same prayer daily, but I’m tired of the frenzy of life that leaves my schedule and my thoughts without any margin. I need more of you, Lord, and less of me.

I surrender and admit: I can’t control people, plans, or even all my circumstances, but I can yield those things to you, and focus on your goodness.

Thank you today for every good gift you’ve given, every blessing you’ve sent, all the forgiveness I did not deserve, and, yes, for every trial you’ve allowed into my life.

You bring good out of every circumstance if I’ll only let go and believe you.

I know that when I pray and give thanks instead of worrying, you have promised that I can experience the kind of peace that passes all understanding.

That’s your kind of peace, Lord. And it’s the kind I crave. Amen

                  3. Al, I’ve found turning off all news for a time (ex: a week, 40 days) greatly helps contemplation and focusing on what YOU actually have the power to change/do and figuring out what God is asking you to do … it may be doing extra chores around the house, it may be not buying Coca-Cola or woke/anti-Christian business products anymore,.. it may be prayer and fasting for someone (which some will scoff at, but it is a lot harder than it sounds and vastly more effective than most realize).
Every one has the God given power to do something, and you are right that we can’t be idle and do nothing. We must all do what we can, however little it may be. But as Charlie always reminds us, God is your audience. His plan is advancing, whether you actively choose to be part of it or not. No worries/fear not.

“A most wonderful to connect with God so He can calm us down is through Silence. If it’s something a person doesn’t take a lot of time for, then begin with just 5 minutes a day. Intend to enter into union with God, acknowledging that you’re his creature and HE is our God with ideas, solutions and graces to bestow which are so far above and beyond us. When we draw near to Him, knowing He loves us beyond measure and wants to tend to us in every way, we can actually rest in Him and His Providence for us.”

Just beautiful!!! I can’t wait for my Holy Hour tomorrow 🥰

  19. My dearest best friends in CoRaC…my brother and sister in law are trying to get into Fort Lauderdale before going to Maine with bad weather. They are thanking us all for our prayers and giving us a glimpse of the mysteries at sea… please keep them in your prayers…they are grateful 🥰

“Hi Linda, Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. We appreciate it! It has been a really good passage so far. We saw humpback whales on the first day out, when we were about 20 miles north of the eastern end of Puerto Rico. They were pretty far away but we could see them breaching and the splashes they made were huge. I can imagine how exciting it would be if we were a little closer because it was exciting enough as it was. We have Bermudian long tails flying around the boat every morning – very pretty birds. Today, we finally caught not one, but TWO fish! We had two lines out and the second one hit as we were pulling in the first. They were tuna and we froze half and cooked half of what is in the frig – delicious!
Tonight I’m on the first watch, 8 -11pm and it is just beautiful. We’re going wing & wing with 12 – 15 knots of wind dead behind us, 6.5 – 7 knots of boatspeed. I can see lights from Eleuthera and Abaco and the stars and bioluminescence are great again tonight.
    Love,
    Bryan & Polly”
