Happy New Year! 

I have a meaty post coming tonight, but for now I thought you would be happy to know that we have come within $60 of our goal, as you can see from the thermometer above. 

With a bunch more calls this weekend, I think we are going to reach somewhere around $30,000, maybe higher in our Epiphany campaign. I will have the thermometer amended to keep you apprised. Thank you all so much for your help in getting us geared up for a year of activism and hope through CORAC. Because of your donations, I was able to offer assistance for coordinators who have enough people coming that they are thinking of renting a van. 

If you have not donated yet and have a little cash you can spare, please help us out as we head towards Epiphany in Washington, D.C.

For many of us, our trip to Washington will be our first exercise in open activism – though it most assuredly will not be our last. If you are going, please contact Mary Lapchak at lapchakma@gmail.com. She is keeping track of everyone in what could be a real huge crowd. If we have your name, number and email address, we can keep you notified of rally points. I intend to get the people I know are there from our group together for a late lunch or early dinner on Tuesday. I’ll be staying in Maryland so the dinner will be east of the Capitol. I hope to see you there, but I can’t tell you where unless you have let Mary know you are there.

  5. Good advice from Michael Young. I will leave my back pack back at the ranch. Got new boots. So I’m good there. Will carry extra water and some energy food in zippered pockets in my coat. I need to get an attachment so my glasses don’t fall off or keep a spare set in my zipper pocket. Maybe I will take my glasses off and store them. I’m looking forward to meeting other corac folks there! That will be one of the best parts!

    1. Amen, Judith. Our Angelic Friends are all around us. We need only say but the word and they spring into action for us and with us. Adding to your beautiful prayer by sending an honor guard of Angels to protect all representing CORAC as well as all people of Good Will who will gather on Wednesday!

  7. Sorry I can’t be there but some thoughts on the spiritual protection side of things. Be prayed up and do some fasting in advance but not immediately before the march as you will likely need the energy, in fact extra energy due to the cold, physical activity, stress of the time, etc. . Remember that those counter protesters, many of them are likely “Useful idiots” of the satan so be ready to surround yourself with prayers for the blood of Jesus the Name of Jesus, Mary, Joseph and the St. Michael’s prayer but if things get hot only a quick “call out” Jesus or Michael , or to Mary for help may be possible. Hopefully it won’t come to that but be prepared. And remember the instruments of the satan will try in every way possible to agitate, create confusion, disruption as well as attempt to stoke up you all to an angry and poorly thought out response. Ask for the grace to hold your silence in the face of attack and of slander. Perhaps treat it like you are in the middle of an exorcism and don’t speak to evil but only to God, unless given a special grace and urging to speak of God’s truth, or love, etc. Remember that Jesus said “You will know them by their frutis”. And I and, I am sure many others will be holding you all in prayer ourselves and offering some sacrifices for this work. God Bless All.

      I will pray for the safety of our CORAC members heading to DC. That they are able to stand strong by the grace of God as they will surely face insults and scrutiny from others including the MSM. Remember you were born for this particular time. God be with you!

    4. BoBG: I was thinking of Nick Sandmann, the Covington Catholic teen who stood his ground, stood as a wall against the trap being laid for him. He was silent but did not budge. He did not even let his fellow students betray his calm. Slings and arrows here hurled at him and yet he stood in control. Antifa will be in DC. If one is attacked, hundreds should surround them in quiet control. Will be in prayer on Wednesday.

There was a bit of an “announcement ” today…… apparently the mayor (?) of DC has ordered all gas stations, hotels, restaurants, “tourism supporting businesses” etc, etc, closed for the duration, hoping to limit the amount of protestors. (Do they really not understand? Its more of a march in support, lol).

  13. I learned something today — It’s all about the footwear. Who knew that wearing boots would be #1 recommendation when attending a protest. I guess you’ll be digging out the trusty old Keens, Charlie! 😆

    3. I thought he meant the old hefty work boots with steel toes that laced halfway up the calf. I’m reminded of some survival advice I read as a kid for a potential stampede situation. Surrounded by a mob of panicky people pressing up against you (e.g., someone shouts ‘fire’ in a crowded theatre), just lift up your feet.
      Will be praying a rosary for all CoRaCers who attend. Stop the Steal but Thy will be done.

    1. Linda; I would love to think Pence actually believes what’s in the statement but he didn’t write it. It’s third person right out of the gate. “Vice President Pence shares the concerns…”. His Chief of Staff released it and maybe even wrote it (?).

      I’m taking it with several grains of salt.

  17. Anyone in Dallas area, I would like to have a place where we all can get together to make a statement about supporting the legal votes and President Trump as the winner on 1/6/21; I will ask my Repub. friends to join. anyone respond and I will give my phone #. Others may want to do the same.

    Lin Wood and Sidney Powell ask all to go to church on Sunday to pray for America and and I add to that all the people who have done so much to uncover all the fraud!

  18. Lesson on boots
    I have a longer story which is great ‘tell’ on Policing. The short is I responded to call for help, ran into an abandoned building lot and planted my right foot on a nail protruding from a 1×4. Needless to say, I was thankful I wore boots rather business shoes.

    I felt the impact, skip/jumped, ripped the 1×4 off my foot and
    responded to my fellow cop in need.

  20. I really enjoyed the commentary by Bishop Barron for today’s readings (sun, 1/3/21)
    It made me think of all that will be going to DC in the next few days!!! It makes me want to go even more!!!

    MATTHEW 2:1-12
    Friends, the story of the Magi told in today’s Gospel is a summary of the principal dynamics of the spiritual life. Watching the night sky with scrupulous attention for signs of God’s purpose, the Magi evoke the importance of alertness in the spiritual order. We must keep our eyes open to see what God is up to.

    Once they saw the star, they moved, despite the length of the journey. Sometimes people know what God wants them to do, but they don’t act, either out of fear, laziness, or the influence of bad habits. The Magi teach us to move.

    When they spoke to Herod of the birth of a new King, he tried to use them to destroy the baby. When you walk the path that God has laid out for you, expect opposition.

    The wise men came to Bethlehem and gave the child their precious gifts. When you come to Christ, break open the very best of yourself and make it a gift for him.

    Finally, they returned to their home country by another route. As Fulton Sheen commented so magnificently: of course they did; for no one comes to Christ and goes back the same way he came!

Our Monsignor today had little bags with directions and blessed chalk for home epiphany blessing for today with directions to write on brick the epiphany numbers, say an our father and sing a song 🎵 we three kings…and we got into a laughing gig because we could just imagine all our neighbors watching us and gossiping that we were probably all juiced up b4 the Cleveland browns game this morning! Hahahahaha (which we weren’t btw)😂😂😂

      1. Linda, please tell Mike that I watched the last few minutes of the Browns game at my dad’s; and I was cheering them on all the way (and so were my kids, although we had to explain to my dad why we were cheering for the Browns and not the Steelers). 🙂

President Trump and Dan Scavino confirmed the specific location in DC with a video from TrumpMarch.Com – The January 6th rally in Washington DC is shaping up to be the largest ever assembly in Washington DC history. Millions are inbound. From what can be ascertained from social media and grassroots communication, the scale is growing exponentially now.

    The video confirms what we anticipated before. The primary venue for assembly and speaker content will be focused on The Elipse, a 52-acre park south of the White House fence and north of Constitution Avenue and the National Mall; however the recommendation is now to arrive before 9am on the date of the event.

    For those who prefer to listen/watch, here it is. I think his video version is even better than the written!

    Ok, ok… I still can’t drive myself to DC, but if someone else driving from WA State (w/economy car?) needs another person to share gasoline expenses with, PLEASE twist my arm, and get me to join you!!!
    I walked the Camino, I am willing (need) to travel frugally, and especially to drive the “other shifts” while you sleep to avoid motel expenses, etc.

  25. Sources say there will be NO cell phone service at the event.
    Portable radios (walkie-talkies) are then an option, you just need to decide on which channel for all to set their radios on BEFORE you go there so everyone can be on the same frequency. They work a fair distance and you can use ear buds for privacy and better clarity. They will not work if someone is behind a building from you.

    What the email we got from security said today:
    
    “A variety of First Amendment activities are planned on January 5th and 6th within the National Capital Region.”

    What the email meant:

    “A shitload of armed wackos are descending on DC, so stay inside.”

    It is sad to think that people who are looking for truthful answers and making their voices heard are seen as wackos carrying guns. It’s hard to have a conversation. 🤷‍♀️
