What We Have Done

Mary and Lamb

By Charlie Johnston

If you lost your job, but had $250,000 in the bank, you could live normally for quite some time if you are middle class, by drawing down on your capital. Every week you did that, though, you would be headed towards a precipitous cliff. Do it long enough and you would plunge over the cliff to your doom. What we have done the last five months is to dramatically cut back on actual production while simultaneously injecting huge amounts of currency into the system. That is the textbook formula for murderous inflation – the type that topples nations. So, you might ask, why have we not felt any serious consequences yet (though the more than 100,000 businesses that have closed permanently since the start of this might disagree with that assessment)? We are drawing down on the capital of our economy’s vast reserve capacity. Most of our Republican officials and all our Democratic officials are so economically illiterate that they really do not understand this. We are headed at breakneck speed towards the cliff of complete, sudden and utter collapse – and the idiots who hold the levers of power in our society think they can just print more money up to solve the problem. You have already seen some hiccups in the supply chain.  When we run out of a commodity because we are not producing it anymore or have reduced its production to a trickle, then all those dollars we have created will be in competition for the very few of those commodities available – and the prices will skyrocket.

Let me give you a small metaphor. Suppose there is an island with 100 people on it. Those people are dependent on a total of 100 widgets a week between them to survive. For decades, the island’s widget factory has pumped out 110-120 widgets a week. Some folks enjoyed the luxury of buying more than the one widget they actually need each week. Meantime, the island elders bought up the excess capacity to create a strategic reserve in case of emergency. Suddenly, in some panic, the island’s elders cut the production of widgets back to 50 per week. Alas, several of the widget producers go out of business entirely. Even if things ever got back to normal, they now only have the productive capacity for 75 per week. The elders soothe the islanders by sending out bonus cash to everyone. They do nothing about the fact that the island is no longer capable of producing the basic number of widgets islanders need for survival. After all, there is still plenty in reserve, so everything seems normal. What happens when the strategic reserve runs out? I’ll tell you what happens: life on the island suddenly gets very savage, brutish and nasty. This is what we have done to ourselves – and our officials are too drunk with power to even be aware of that deadly cliff that is still so far away on the horizon, but to which we draw closer each day. The officials just LOVE the feeling of issuing arbitrary edicts.

Don’t think our global enemies are not paying attention to what we do. While we have been fighting over a virus, China has crushed freedom in Hong Kong and is aggressively trying to expand its military presence outward.

CDC Director Robert Redfield confirmed last week that our draconian shutdown approach is more deadly to Americans than Covid. Astonishingly, he did not say it in context of amending our approach, but with the threat that if we do not obey, they will crack down harder and let even more people die. The left – and the “experts” without expertise – don’t care how many people must die in order to force the little people to bow to their imperial will. Enemies must watch with amazement as our national nervous breakdown shows that Americans have so little tolerance for risk that they will inflict enormous pain and damage on themselves in order to stay “safe;” that America has become incapable of adopting targeted defensive measures that do minimal harm to itself; and that vast swaths of power-hungry minor functionaries are downright  eager to brutally punish the people they are supposed to serve in order to secure and expand their power, even to the extent of intentionally letting some under their authority die needlessly.

If I were China or an organized Jihadist group, I would do everything in my power to inject more chaos into the American system while this golden moment (for America’s enemies) lasts. One good, hard shove might well topple the American experiment – and if Donald Trump is re-elected (especially if it is by a decisive margin) this golden moment will pass away.

Whether we dodge this particular bullet or not, the odds are overwhelming that next year is going to be harder and uglier than this year, whoever wins the election, as we reap the bitter harvest we have sown this year. Our troubles have become systemic rather than transient. Cal Thomas wrote a thought-provoking book asking if we have nearly reached “America’s Expiration Date.” Its premise is that most great empires have lasted for about 250 years before entering into steep, irreversible decline. America has had an amazing vitality and capacity for renewing itself, but having hobbled itself with vast bureaucratic parasites, having maliciously bowdlerized its economic system, and having chosen to cede power to self-absorbed idiots rather than govern itself rationally, we have grave, extensive troubles ahead. I suspect that this year will NOT be remembered as the year of troubles in America, but as the prelude to the troubles. For a time, the landmass of America may not be governed at all, but ruled by roving bands of rival warlords.

I honestly do not believe restoration is in the cards for us. The best hope is for transformation and renewal. That is why I am taking great pains to form CORAC so that it can thrive in both a high-tech and a low-tech environment, with or without modern means of communication. You would not believe all the contingency plans I am building in without talking about them. We will not ultimately solve this problem economically, politically or technically. Only resurrecting a common ethos and vision of the good will lead us to renewal – and I fear many of the neo-savages among us will have to be consumed by their own self-destructive violence before their fellows realize that this is a way of death, not of enlightenment or hope. It is ours to gather together the ambulances to show the broken survivors of this madness a better way – a way that leads to life rather than destruction. The first Christians started calling themselves The Way. Our duty now is to help people find The Way once more.

I was both pleased and a little upset that our ZOOM capacity of 100 was filled up within five minutes of opening – and before my Sunday presentation began. I am working on vastly expanding that capacity with a more secure system before we have the national conference.

By the way, the national conference will almost certainly be in Limon again, on the weekend of September 12 and 13. My main concern had been not allowing hostile bureaucrats to be able to pull the rug out from under us at the last minute. That is what they did to the Republican Party of Texas for their annual convention. It is clear to me that, until the election, all Christians, conservatives and pro-lifers are fair game to fully politicized and corrupted bureaucrats at all levels. I developed a certain confidence with authorities in Limon this last weekend. While somewhat remote, it is only 70 miles east of Denver International Airport on the Interstate. It has a lot of hotels, as it is something of a crossroads for travelers. I like the small-town feel combined with the ease of access. Plus, if worse came to worst, I have a large, private warehouse available less than an hour away. Attendees would not even have to switch hotels.  I have just a couple of boxes left to check – and will formally decide over the weekend and announce it on Monday.

The video of the talk will be up, along with the written transcript, on Friday. The download and upload capacity where I am at is a little slow, so I will wait until I have more speed. Inset here is my painfully primitive map of the Regions I have broken theCORAC Regional Map country up into. It was 15, but is now 16. I had some folks from Alaska contact me wanting to know who their coordinator would be – and informing me they had had a group of about 20 meeting regularly in association with this website. I had no clue it even existed…so lo and behold, we now have a team in Alaska!

I had one very astute fellow note that I came out hard on the vital importance of the Virgin Mary for all Christians in these times. I did, indeed, for honoring Mary and calling on her is in the vital roots of all Christians; Catholic, Orthodox AND Protestant. It is a rich part of the heritage endowed to all of us by God. I reprint below, without comment, what I said on the subject:

…the fourth home truth concerns the mother of Jesus Christ, the Virgin Mary. Many modern, otherwise faithful, Christians are, at best, indifferent to Mary and, at worst, downright hostile to her. This baffles me. It was not part of the Reformation and, in fact, has only arisen over the last 200-300 years. In his last sermon in 1546 Martin Luther, the founder of Protestants, said, “Is Christ only to be adored? Or is the Holy Mother of God rather not to be honored? This is the woman who crushed the serpent’s head. Hear us – for your Son denies you nothing.” Yes, Martin Luther called her the Mother of God, for there were plenty in that day who maintained that Jesus was not God at all, just a man born of a woman who grew to become a profound moral teacher. But serious Christians – both among the Catholics and the Reformers – knew that when the 2nd Person of the Trinity, the Eternal Son, chose to take on our humanity, He chose to be born of a human woman, a woman chosen from all eternity to become Mother of the Eternal Son – who took on our humanity without abdicating His divinity.

If the phrase, “Hail Mary, full of grace,” offends you, your quibble is not with Catholics, but with the Archangel Gabriel, for this is the salutation with which he greeted her at the Annunciation. If the phrase, “Mother of God,” offends you, you are offended not just at Catholics, but at Martin Luther, John Calvin, Ulrich Zwengli and the rest of the founders of the Protestant movement, who all referred to her under that title – often, admittedly, to emphasize Christ’s divinity rather than her maternity – but the three I mentioned by name were all serious Marian devotees.

In the first chapter of the Gospel of Luke, during her Canticle of Praise, Mary says, “Behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.” You cannot coherently claim to believe in the inerrancy of Scripture while simultaneously implicitly denying the truth of this passage.

The prejudice against Mary that has grown strong in some Christian circles once filled me, too, with dread at properly acknowledging her. Wanting neither to be deceived nor to offend God, I humbly told the Lord that I was going to pray the Rosary (which is not so much a paean to Mary as it is an extended contemplation of the life of Our Lord WITH Mary) for the next three weeks. I told no one else. I asked Him to show me, during this period, whether this was approved by or offensive to Him – and that I would abide by what He showed me. I have been a Marian devotee ever since, joyfully going with her to her Holy Son.

I strongly recommend this method to all serious Christians. I know that, for some men, Christianity is just the pretext they use to justify their efforts to impose their will on others. For these, my cry will fall on deaf ears. But for those who are serious, this method leaves the matter safely – and intimately – between you and God.

Our Lord is offended by many things in the modern world. One of the things He is most offended by is the general contempt and indifference with which so many who call themselves Christians treat His mother.

I have said many times that God calls all faithful Christians – Catholics, Protestants and Orthodox – and all faithful Jews to act as full and equal partners in the work before us. And to treat all men of good will, whatever their faith, as true neighbors. I mean it. But this is urgent. God told Job’s seemingly pious friends that, “…you have not spoken rightly of me as has My servant, Job.” God told these men He would not hear their prayers; that they must go to Job and ask Job to pray that they be forgiven, for God would hear Job’s prayers. I tell you, if you call yourself Christian and hold Mary in contempt, your prayers will fall on deaf ears. Go with Mary to her Son and your prayers will be heard – and you will be re-connecting with the deepest roots of your faith, whether you be Catholic, Orthodox or Protestant.”

    1. Charlie WRT the economy I have heard Pres Trump is getting the US out of the central bank system and fiat money. That he is using central bank money to defund them. The US won’t be paying it back to them.

  2. Oddly enough, the more chaotic things get, the calmer I feel. I realize I am in control of nothing, therefore I must give God everything. The more I do this, the better I deal with what comes at me.

    1. To your point, we were (half) joking at work that the world has reached a such a point that we read apocalyptic writings before going to bed as a means of calming our spirits and bringing peace to our minds as we fall asleep. Whodathunk?! 😉

        1. Mick – the photo is of Adele Brice, a young woman the Blessed Mother visited in 1859 at a place that is now the only approved Marian apparition site in the U.S., a place where prayer is offered daily for Charlie and his rag tag crew of misfits! The BVM’s parting words to Adele. “Go and fear nothing, I will help you.”

              2. I live a few hours from there and visit generally a couple times per year, bringing people in need there. My first time there was before I was Catholic to ask forgiveness for a great wrong I did as a youth. Charlie helped me overcome my Protestant “thinking” about Mary and that helped lead me to the Catholic Church. I hope to get up there in a few weeks. I wonder if they are open…

All intentions are printed and placed in The Chapel altar and prayed for at each Mass for a year. The Queen of Heaven is wants her children to ask for the help they need, especially in this time of renewal! https://championshrine.org/connect/#form

    2. This was sent to me in an email today:
      …”My Heart rejoiced when I heard you say: “God is in control of everything, so do not despair!” yes! indeed I am in control of every situation; some souls might not think so when situations are turning against them for they imprudently rely on their strength and their victories; however, sooner or later, their fruit diminishes and all supernatural lights start fading away; their measure of love for Me as well, lessens in degree and in virtue; evil tendencies start growing in them and the energies they had been obtaining from Me are perilously ceasing and are not being absorbed as before; flesh starts conquering them and their spirit influenced by the world will keep dragging them back to their old passions;

but if a soul remains in Me and does not neglect her spiritual and sacramental life and all that the Spirit taught her, and who allowed herself to be possessed by My Spirit, in times of persecution and in difficult situations, that soul will rely on Me and with confidence will say: “the Lord is with us, so who can be against us?” never say: “our Lord has abandoned us…” or “the Lord has forgotten me…”

            1. Well, it’s good to remember, this is one man’s theory. The Apostles had their theories, too, about how Jesus’ words were going to be fulfilled. They were stunned and fled in fear during the Passion and Death of Jesus. And the Lord did say He would send the Advocate, yet, could the Apostles even imagine what they would experience?! I imagine not. Even with all the messages we’ve been given and the various timelines put forth, we are wise to keep our eyes on the Lord, acknowledging Him and His Way of unfolding His Plan, that we not miss the very next right steps to which He’s calling us, that He may make of us a sign of hope.

  3. Very sobering stuff, indeed, Charlie. I will have to read your post over a few times to grasp the enormity of it. But, I agree. There are no two ways about it. Eventually, we will all be yelling, “Geronimo!” without a parachute, without a soft landing.

Looking forward to watching the video of your talk as I was traveling so I missed your broadcast.

And the state of our Union is in real peril as we saw a respected Attorney General be totally disrespected yesterday by the Democrats in a hearing, we saw no Democrat speak out against the violence of anarchists in Portland, Washington DC, Seattle or other cities, and Big Tech determining what constitutes valid medical treatments as they censored frontline doctors and even took down their whole website featuring 6 hours of presentations. Doctors who are in the trenches and have successfully treated hundreds of Covid patients with hydroxychloroquine, a 65 year old, cheap, proven-safe medication. And Fauci still criticizing this drug because the “studies” say it’s not effective.

And when you said, “…even to the extent of intentionally letting some under their authority die needlessly”
…I thought of how horrible that this safe drug, hydroxychloroquine, is being withheld from sick people who are dying for this evil leftist agenda.

That cliff is coming up really fast. I don’t recognize our world anymore.
    Praying continually.

    1. Texasooz57: I could stomach only about 15 minutes of the Barr hearing. I turned it off and preceded to weep. The censoring of doctors who have used the French doctor Didier Raoult’s hydroxychloroquine, zinc and Z-pack protocol is beyond belief. The left has now politicized even medicine but money is at the root of it all. BIG Pharma Money. Hospitals get more money if they can diagnose a deceased patient with covid even if that patient dies because of i e heart failure, cancer. The worse thing you can do is wait 14 days before you get treatment yet that is what your doctor will tell you to do. The hydroxychloroquine protocol includes early intervention. Worse is that the enemies of this country from outside and within know now how to attack us and control us. That sitting congresspersons allow it and foment division is criminal, evil. About 10 years ago I concluded that Democrats didn’t give a da-n about the victims their policies create. Abortion is a prime example but the cavalier treatment of the elderly during the pandemic underlined the absurdity of their policies. Add now the defund the police, the abandonment of protection of small business owners’ property and the blindness at the Barr hearing to ANTIFA you can conclude YOU simply just do not count. Look up the Red Guard, Nazis Brown Shirts, Colectivos (Venezuela), Reign of Terror (France), and the Bolshevik (Stalin Russia), Khmer Rouge (Cambodia), ANTIFA is copying them. Andrew Duncomb, a black journalist was stabbed Saturday, others are being murdered and brutally assaulted. Protests are turning violent at the instigation of ANTIFA. They are communists and so too BMN. BLM is not shy about claiming that mantle.

  4. Charlie, you do tell it TRUE. I believe that many totally agree, and can see, what you speak of, with their own eyes. As Jesus said” let those who have eye, let them see.” I just can’t understand how many are still asleep, and unwilling to stand up ( with God’s Grace) to the evil around them. Thank you for the wonderful explanation about Our Dear Mother, Mary. Hopefully many will see the light in regard to our devotion to the Blessed Mother. Thank you.

  5. I recommend reading the following blog post (written 7 -29-2020) by Sundance of The Last Refuge. I am sharing it because I think it’s a great example of acknowledging God, taking the next right step, and being a sign of hope to those around you.

(Backstory for those unfamiliar with Sundance, an anonymous name, he’s a political reasearcher/ blogger. He has complied an 80 page research paper on Spygate, and he is now presenting it to others in government that hopefully will see the irrefutable evidence that he has complied about the treasonous acts of those in the Obama administration, and other uniparty activists, trying to overthrow a duly-elected President of the United States, President Trump. Sundance was in Washington DC last week in the setting of the following story.)

IMHO, it’s not coincidental that Charlie and Sundance are speaking about the emotional, spiritual, physical state of the people of our nation at this same time…

    1. LittleLight, I DVR’d the Star Wars movies last week, hoping to engage my son a bit more. (It’s one of his favorites, next to Lord of the Rings). I’m trying to remember the characters names and where they fit in. Lots to digest. I have been watching one movie a day when I can and some of the parallels from what is happening in those movies to what we are experiencing here in America are mind blowing. I just finished #3 last night. I don’t like watching the end fight between Anikin and Obi Wan where Anikin almost dies, even though it is a big part of the story.

What Yoda says to Anikin when they meet for the first time, “Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering,” really hits home in all the unrest going on around us.

I haven’t seen ‘The Mandalorian’ yet but the cupcakes I make at work with Baby Mandalorian on them sure sell well!

      1. There is so much in those movies to inspire 🙂
Our older kids have taken the books out of the library and read them. Star Wars The Clone Wars and Rebels ( both animated on Disney Plus) the kids and my hubby tell me George Lucas wrote. Those cartoons add a lot of dimension to the story. They are all about a rag-tag group, greatly outnumbered, fighting with true grit and hope against all odds. Many are martyred and considered it a privileged to give their lives for freedom and liberty. Yeah, it’s good stuff. I have a hard time keeping all the details straight but do enjoy it.
The Mandalorian is so cool. Kinda reminds us of Clint Eastwood. We think it has a Western feel to it. Anyways The Mandalorians have a saying: “This is The Way” they are kind of a religious group and that is code of ethics they pledge their lives to uphold.

        1. A western feel? That’s kind of cool. My son had The Clone Wars set up on the DVR and watched it every time a new episode came on. We just had a discussion on this a few days ago and he said that The Clone Wars answered a lot of things that weren’t put in the movies. Maybe some day I will get a chance to watch them and The Mandalorian. Thanks for sharing LittleLight!

        2. So I was watching Star Wars IV: A New Hope yesterday and there’s a scene where Darth Vader’s leaders are having an argument about wiping out the rebellion. One of them says, “The Rebellion will continue to gain support in the Imperial Senate.” Grand Moff Tarkin walks in and says, “The Imperial Senate will no longer be of any concern to us. I’ve just received word that the Emperor has dissolved the council permanently. The last remnants of the Old Republic have been swept away. THE REGIONAL GOVERNORS NOW HAVE DIRECT CONTROL OVER THEIR TERRITORIES. FEAR WILL KEEP THE LOCAL SYSTEMS IN LINE. (Fear of this battle station).” When he said this, I got the chills. Battle station could be replaced with ‘Covid’ or ‘Deep State.’

What I would like to know is, are some of the democratic governors who are following faux Fauci, the CDC, HHS, PQRSTUV, etc., and just going by the information they have been given, not seeing some of these other things, are they being manipulated like others are? I’m not talking about the ones from the rioting states, but others? We are going to end up being the rebellion, aren’t we? Of course with Jesus and Mary as our guide.

  7. I am trying to choose the best words to describe the state of mind I am in ? I have read your posts Charlie for the last 6-7 years (as the years fly by I loose track). It has been like watching a slow moving tragedy and now I feel we are flying at warp speed toward the abyss… As I have stated here my dad is a retired military veteran..30 years in the Air Force. I have loved my country since I was a little girl, and I realize Obama didn’t begin the downfall he sure did all he could and continues to undermine and destroy our beloved country. I was so thankful when President Trump won and although many don’t like his personality I believe he loves people and he loves this country and more importantly he fights for the unborn and Loves GOD..I also think he knows GOD is using him.. this is what I see in him.No of course he is not the savior only our Lord JESUS is but all throughout GOD uses people.. The pure EVIL he and WE are up against is beyond frightening and also at times I think this cannot be happening..but it is and will get much worse.I watched what these demons did to AG Barr I had to turn it off..he should have walked out. I also watched the frontline doctors GOD bless them.. now this fool Dewine has allowed hydroxychloroquine to be banned for treating Covid in Ohio. This is it I have had enough of these stinking demonic fools.. how long must we sit and watch this utter destruction of our country take place everything we love and cherish which has nothing to do with materialistic things but ..GOD family and country.. how long must we have perversion shoved down our throats and have to whisper about the evil surrounding us and our support of Trump? And now they ban a drug that other countries are using and is working to help Covid patients??? I read an article about what many are feeling called “cold anger” that would describe me.. HAd ENOUGH!, President Trump must act now like a hammer..what have we got to loose the evil grows by the day. Forgive me..I am not doing well today.,I am not depressed my belief..Be Strong and Courageous..Help me LORD show me my mission I am ready to fight for HIM

  8. My nurse daughter, who is actively tending Covid-19 patients, went to Medjugorje when in college. While there, she prayed to Jesus what she she do with her life. She heard, “go see my mother.” She then went to what is called, “Aparition hill” where the Rosary is prayed often and where Mary first appeared in Medjugorje. There, she asked the Blessed Mother what she should do and consequently heard, “go see my son.” What more needs to be said.

And as we wait upon Our Lord and His Mother to intervene, may He find us faithfully living the core message fostered here – acknowledge God, take the next right step and be a sign of hope to others – as God’s Will unfolds in each of us, for God is ready, oh so ready, to have us partner with Him as a Great Sign that He *is* alive, that He *has* a Plan – not simply a moment or single event – that is unfolding… and it’s a Plan that involves all hands on deck as we traverse this phase of the ever-intensifying Storm.

Perfect for these times. This large (45″ x 36″) fabric print is now hanging in my kitchen on a curtain rod. Perhaps some of you will find it inspirational and consoling. https://www.homesew.com/Images/FA3580.jpg 🙂

  10. I think the hydroxychloroquine drug dilemma has two causes.
One, it stops the hypoxia/heavy metal toxic action (organ inflammation) by preventing Covid-19 from knocking the iron molecule off of the bloods hemoglobin. This is only effective BEFORE this happens as it cannot REVERSE this symptom. Once the virus has reached critical mass, the hypoxia must be treated differently as the hydroxychloroquine will only stop further blood cells from being effected and this is why they say the drug is ineffective in later stages. It would be like applying an antibiotic salve to a gangrenous finger. The infection has already destroyed the tissue so removing the infection does not reverse the damage done.
Secondly, hydroxychloroquine is not the drug used to kill the virus, that is what the zinc-pack is for. With some strains of the virus mutating back to its original form, it is dropping the man-attached genes and is no longer creating the hypoxic condition that hydroxychloroquine addresses. Therefore hydroxychloroquine becomes inadequate in treating covid-19 which is reverting back into a rather mild form of the flu.
Of course this mutating back to its original form takes time and each strain will be different thru this process so the use of hydroxychloroquine will be needed for the strains that are still causing the hypoxia.
But this is the main reason we are seeing different test results because of these different mutative forms occuring over time in different regions/populations. These mutations will probably take several years to level out into the “common” strain it will eventually become.
Even then, this will only be by region and not a global strain.
This will also make any vaccine developed sketchy in its ability to treat this virus and is why it is being claimed by Bill Gates that a multiple battery of inoculations will be required!

    1. Phillip you raise some interesting conjecture in my mind. It’s about all the false positives and false negatives test results.

I have a relative who got pretty sick about a month ago. Had a couple of odd symptoms like weakness in his legs. His primary put him on a course of antibiotics. Didn’t resolve his Covid like Flu like symptoms. He was going to “tough it out at home” but his family contacted the primary who sent him to the emergency room. He got shoved through the door to the emergency room where they administered a Covid test. Negative. They did another test. Negative. They wheeled him up past the Covid floor to a “safe” floor to try to figure out what was wrong with him. He was in there about a week to 10 days. They never figured out what was wrong with him although he was told by one of the many physicians who came by to examine him that he was “the most interesting case they had in the hospital”. He is at home now recovering from Not Covid because the double testing came up Negative. His recovery is slow. He is still weak and tires easily. He had an antibody test done. Negative. He doesn’t have Covid 19 antibodies.

He is convinced that he had Covid 19. I’m leaning that way too.

I understand there is some evidence or theory that Covid 19 is weakening and reverting to its most primitive pre-bioengineering- weaponized form. It is mutating and perhaps quickly.

The tests. The tests are looking for some particular molecular structures are they not? A particular combination of stuff associated with the strain of Covid 19 cells which they think they have figured out. But what if the thing has mutated such that the tests can’t match it? You got some form of the thing that is not being tested for perhaps? False Negatives????

False positives. The tests may not be as robust as we think. Coronavirus. Lots of coronaviruses that we call head colds or chest colds or flu. So you got some kind of flu that comes back positive in the less than robust Covid 19 test?

Perhaps testing is not all that it is cracked up to be. Flu or colds mixing in with real Covid cases resulting in misdiagnosis or no diagnosis at all?

The Negative test results may be the most worrisome of all. In my relative’s case he was lucky to be hospitalized because he was pretty sick and nobody could figure out why. “Interesting Case”. Sent him home after literally everyone just shrugged their shoulders.

Moral of the story is: If you feel sick and you get a Negative result keep pushing it with your doctor and don’t let them drop you through the cracks in the system. If you get a Positive result don’t treat it as a death sentence. Just treat it.

      1. Ed,
There are literally hundreds of cold (corona) and flu virus out there. Couple that with molds, mildews, bacterium, parasites, chemicals, etc and there are multiple ways for us to get sick. At any given moment we may have a multitude of these in our system, nose, throat, mouth, etc. Many are inert, but present. Depending on the tests gene target
, covid can mirror any number of coronoviri DNA as they are very similar. Also, there must be a large amount of virus swabbed in order to get a big enough sample to “amplify” it in order to extract the targeted DNA gene as DNA is a fantastically tiny object. This amplification is prone to contamination and the contamination can swamp the sample inhibiting the test from finding the target genes.
When we are sick, other forms can multiple because of our weakened immune system creating multifaceted infections. These added infections then lend to a variety of symptoms that may hide or pronounce other symptoms.
Below, Steve BC comments on the use of HBOT treatments. This treatment helps stop outside antigens from taking advantage of our weakened condition by killing these antigens, reducing inflammation and invigorating our whole system thus allowing us to heal the main illness.

    2. Now my son, who’s in his 20’s, came down with Covid . He lives with my husband and I. We did nothing different. We didn’t quarantine him, wear masks, or clean anything more than I normally did. My son only had a low grade fever for a few days, then cough and cold symptoms for 3 days. My husband and I got nothing. I just don’t understand the behavior of this virus. Could he have had one of these mutations? I dunno….. I’m not a doctor, but I don’t get why it affects some people so badly.

      1. GK,
It has been reported that testing accuracy for Covid -19 is in the 30% range for some tests. Other coronoviri can give a positive for corona-19 because of the similarities of all coronoviri strains. If your son had some other coronovirus that you and your husband are immune to, you would not get sick and his symptoms are more normal for a flu.
Or, if you had a similar illness to covid-19 in your past and your T-cells recognised covid-19 as this similar virus, your immune system (which is older and wiser than your sons) would kill it before you showed any symptoms.
These are but two possibilities as to why you didn’t get sick.

    3. PF, interesting ideas. I was puzzled by the hypoxia issue for quite a while, and I still don’t know the actual mechanism. However, I have a number of reports of people very far gone, very close to death from extreme hypoxia, who revive and go home days later after having several sessions in a hyperbaric oxygen chamber (HBOT).

The original hypothesis by many was that the virus was wrecking red blood cells, as you say knocking the iron out. If that were true, the only way you could cure someone far gone in hypoxia would be a massive blood transfusion to replace his destroyed red blood cells with healthy red blood cells.

The HBOT results prove that theory and solution wrong. Either the HBOT knocks the virus out of the RBC and helps that cell gather iron and restructure the damaged hemoglobin molecules OR the virus only interferes with the RBCs gathering oxygen, meaning it jams the process without wrecking the hemoglobin molecules. I very much lean toward the latter now.

HBOT eases oxygen uptake in all cells and reduces inflammation. Since inflammation is a huge issue in Covid, this means whole-body healing. If the virus has inflamed the RBCs without wrecking them, then the HBOT only has to remove the virus from the RBCs, allowing the RBCs to begin to work again.

And that is exactly what happens. People go home in days, even though they literally were about to suffocate to death before starting the HBOT treatment.

      1. Steve,
I think your point about reducing inflamation is key. Also, the highly oxygenated environment (like what an antioxidant does) is hostile to ALL virus/infections and becomes a one-two punch for the bodies defence/recovery.
We have an amazingly adaptable body and can survive through and with things that are thought to be lethal. If the body is fighting the virus and inflammation at the same time, it can be overwhelming yet some people live for decades with even worse conditions because of the bodies adaptability.
I think that HBOT treatment relieves even hidden conditions in a person and “resets” their whole system which allows for a healthy unhindered function and recovery.
This reset allows the bodies natural balancing ability to work unhindered and, as you have noted, speeds up recovery which can happen amazingly fast.

        1. Phillip and Steve, Some of the inconsistencies in treatment results may in fact be attributed to different strains of Covid-19. A British study just reported states they found six strains which produce six distinguishable symptom clusters, and presumably treatment effectiveness may thus vary with the particular strain cluster:

” British scientists have determined that there are six different “types” of COVID-19 distinguished by specific clusters of symptoms – which could help in the treatment of the deadly contagion. ” ( https://www.foxnews.com/health/different-types-covid-19-study )

          1. Jack, I hear you on the different strains, but I’m not sure at this point whether it matters when considering Quercetin or HCQ with zinc and appropriate levels of Vitamin D and C, and especially when considering HBOT. I gather that a few sessions of HBOT at 1.5 to 2 atmospheres will burn out every virus anywhere in the body.

My current biggest concern isn’t treating the illness properly. There are now so many ways to prevent and treat Covid-19 that really nobody should die of it. No, my biggest concern is leftover occult or hidden infections in tissues not properly oxygenated (and doesn’t that make you wonder about the mask push, which reduces tissue oxygenation and immune function?).

Such hidden pockets of infection by this virus can mean slow, long-term, ongoing damage to the person who has had the disease. The virus is known to be able to “immune-escape” and sit in low-oxygen tissues. That long-term damage could come back to haunt those with such pockets.

The only treatment I know of that will kill off such hidden pockets of virus is whole-body oxygenation. That might be done using ozonation techniques, but I have been told and have read that HBOT will burn out every virus. So every person who has had the virus needs to find a HBOT clinic and have probably 4-7 or so of those sessions, just to make sure any possible pockets of immune-escaped virus are completely eliminated. Then taking the right supplements and given any antibodies they may have should go a long way to helping that person never get infected again.

                    Here is an excerpt:
“If our eternal self is a point of energy, a DNA strand that makes us eternally unique, then that is what comes into us through the Eucharist and that is what we intuitively recognize as pure. The hope of transformation is what simultaneously humbles us and gives us hope. So, let us understand that the frequency or vibration of Christ is unique. Over time, if we receive the Eucharist frequently or at least regularly, the hope is that we come more and more to exist on that same frequency as Christ, or at the very least, come to understand more where we are different from Jesus and thus where we need to change. What is it in us that does not resonate with the perfection of Jesus Christ? He, himself reveals that to us if we receive him regularly.” -Excerpt from Part Two: Jesus in the Eucharist

                    1. This “frequency” is perfected in the incorrupt saints who have been transformed and “uncorrupted” by their Holy lives. It is postulated that they have gained a part of the “New Jeruselem” in their flesh and have become partly glorified.
This is a beautiful gift to us by God to show us His words are true and that we may look forward to the day that , we too, become part of His Glorified.

I have confirmed reports that people who become very seriously ill and are given several HBOT sessions all live while those put on mechanical ventilators almost always die. Maybe his system really was too weak to survive. Maybe it was indeed his time. However, I am very serious when I say *nobody* should die of Covid-19. There are too many ways to prevent or cure it that even a stage 4 cancer survivor like Cain should come through it just fine.

    4. At this point many people wholly do not trust Bill Gates or anyone associated with him, and for what appears to me at least to be good reason. If he is involved with any vaccine that vaccine is going to be rejected by millions of people. The US government is surely aware it needs to do a great sell job to the American people or many will want no part of it. There is a religious aspect as well, nobody wants the mark of the beast, and that association is strong with Bill Gates. Plus, it is being reported that 80% of vaccine trial subjects have had systemic effects from the vaccine. What those are is not known yet, I believe. It is a nightmare that Ohio allowed that ban on Hydroxy, that needs to be rescinded immediately. Since when can pharmacists usurp doctors right to prescribe a drug that has FDA clearance and has had it for about 50 years? Our nation is in the grips of Satan. We need prayer and spines.

Getting the US in fighting form is a big task that will not be fully operational until, I estimate, late September. After we have got that in solid and well-grounded motion I do intend (and have said so previously) to give serious attention to those people in nations outside the US who want to get things revved up. God bless you for your fidelity and eagerness. If I could do the whole world all at once, I would. But the best way to get big victories is to start with little victories, well-formed, I think.

                1. Annie, We have Shaky (for Shakespeare), and a Sun Conure, Goldie, Both birds are bright, and they really are like children. Wen Goldie, was 8, 10 now, she stopped flying for nearly two years. A vet did a thorough exam, but could find nothing wrong but after two years, she started to fly again. Shaky, like all of the Grays, is intelligent, sings and dances, and is also sneaky (likes to bite baseboards and my books).

When Shaky was five, one day we moved into a new house. Monday morning. As I was unpacking, I stumbled in the garage, and Shaky, on a shoulder, flew off, but out the open garage door, up and away across a culvert to a house about 300 yards away. By the time I drove over there, he was gone. For a week my wife and I searched in vain. We were worried sick and really heartbroken that he was in trouble, as Albuquerque is not a good place for birds, and there are hawks around. Saturday morning, I got an idea to place a wanted add, but then realized that was really dumb, because no one would catch him, and if they did, I could not expect they would search the adds to find the owner, and he could by then have flown hundreds of miles away. But then an unvoiced voice started to “nag” me to place an add. So, reluctantly, I called the wanted section of our lead newspaper, and got a clerk. She asked if I had seen the tv news on CBS the night before, which I had not. She said that an animal shelter showed an exotic bird that had been brought in Tuesday morning, and I got the number from her. Called, and hurried over to see if it were Shaky, and it was. While I was doing the paperwork at the front desk, my wife let Shaky out, and he flew right over and started kissing me all over my face and singing his happy song. They said he had not made one peep all week, and just sat there glum.

When we were ready to leave, we put Shaky in a carrying cage, and started out the front door. Shaky turned around to face the tv crew and shelter staff, and sang out, AU REVOIR! I have to believe that the idea nagging me came from some helper.

Two more little war stories. I see that Shaky has snuck off and is walking over to one of the places he ;like to bite the baseboard. So, I quickly walk over to him and say, “No bite.” He looked up at me and said, “Papa, go poop.” I had not heard that from him before, was surprised, and asked, “What did you say?” This time, he looks up at me again, but says, “Papa, go walk walk,” with the obvious meaning to leave him alone.

I carelessly spilled some coffee in the overhead kitchen microwave. Got a stool, and started to clean up. Shaky was watching from his perch about 20 feet away, and had not seen anything like that before.
So, Shaky yells, “Whater you doin there?” I said cleaning. Shaky then flew over to inspect. Got on a shoulder and leaned forward to see what I was doing, and said, “Oh, poop poop,” and flew back to his perch.

I have had many pet dogs, but Shaky is something special. Animals are not only intelligent, but must also have souls. And the OBE reports say they have met their passed pets on their brief visits to the other side. It really is shocking to see any animals mistreated. Well, there is also so much mistreatment of children and all of the “adult” strife going on now too.

Actually Mike has all along been saying that our nation is going to be in SERIOUS trouble first because of our debt, and secondly because we are printing money like there’s no tomorrow!!! He’s starting to actually help me to think long term now in regard to things going down! First discussion was of course bullets!!! Hahahahaha and yet our new guns are STILL in the bag! We are just not that sort I guess. But michael did come up with an interesting idea about water! Sump pump! There is an unending source of water supply forever in our sump pump! Maybe you too have a sump pump? Does anyone here have any thoughts on this subject or any thoughts of the purity of water from the sump pump??!

Here’s a sort of cute story too….So michael and I each have an alarm clock ⏰ on our Respective sides of the bed 🛌….as most Christians do, we each have a special fondness for the number 333! So at 3:33 Michael’s time, he exclaimed joyfully, “Linda, it’s 3:33!” I looked over to my alarm clock! I said, “Mine says 3:32!” Then when his hit 3:34 mine hit 3:33! “Ha! Yours is exactly one minute before mine, Michael!” In the dark of the night came the words, “Well Linda, it’s as it should be. I’m the husband and a good husband should always be just one step or minute before his wife to protect her!” Isn’t that so sweet!!!❤️❤️❤️

Thanks again Charlie! Looking forward to rewatching your zoom meeting!!!

Gosh I love you all so much!!!

          1. Oh 😅 whew!!! Thanks so much Beckita!!! It is sooooo wonderful to have a place to go…family…and be so excepted unconditionally for the personality God gave ya!!! That’s what I really love about Tnrs ASOH group here! Authentically Catholic aka pretty much like what I feel Jesus would be like!!!

I’ve been thinking 🤔 a lot about Charlie! I think he just may be the new “St Theresa of Calcutta!” Of the Americas!!!

Sometimes the things he says about loving people and converting people JUST WHERE THEY ARE reminds me of her!!!

Example: in the zoom meeting…Charlie told how of one campaign there was a transvestite who was doing an unbelievable good job…but because he/she? was a transvestite, they thought maybe he was a spy! Charlie said…well get me 6 more just like him! He does a great job and I’ll either convert him or scare the hell out of him!!!

Ha!!! Now that is DEFINITELY what Jesus would do, and fearless St Mother Theresa!!! There’s a rare holiness there!!!

My musings of the morning!!! God is good!!!🤗🤗😘🐿🙏🤔📿🥰💕

            CoRaC to the rescue!!!🐿

  13. It’s not only the BVM who’s been under attack, but also God’s Holy Words. Evolutionists claiming the mantle of science as their own, and modifying the scientific method to accept only naturalized explanations no matter how ridiculous or improbable, have ruthlessly attacked the Bible and viciously denying Biblical events & people ever existed, they even go so far to say the Bible wasn’t inspired by God, but borrowed & modified from pagan legends of older cultures. This is the mindset of the left & those who reject & deny God.

No. 274 RED NECK REVIEW! 7/27/20

A couple of comments this week! Both related to old topics, but the second a wee bit newer! First: Have we not been told that the Corona virus would lose some of its strength during the summer months? Much like the flu which seems to come on hard during the “flu season” that begins later in the fall? If true, then why would any state, community, school, or sports program back off of earlier commitments or cancel or postpone sessions or games because of new spikes in the Corona virus! Especially since the death ratios at our state and national levels have been reducing over the past several weeks! Today a Google search gave me 149,000 deaths and 4,290,000 confirmed cases in the U.S. This is a death ratio of .0347319, or 3.5%, down from the 6% a similar research gave a person just weeks ago. The statistics do vary from site to site, but the overall trend is definitely down And the same is true of Idaho’s rate over roughly the same period, hovering around 1% recently compared to 3 to 4% weeks ago.

My point is simple! Until a reliable vaccine is found, some WILL contact the virus, so I am forced to ask: What is the advantage in delaying the further opening of the economy, or of delaying or canceling sporting events, anywhere, from the highest professional to the college or high school level? To me it makes more sense to move forward now, rather than wait until a colder time when bugs like these seem to thrive a bit better! Especially when the states, the communities, the schools, or even just the individual person involved choose to take their chances now, during warmer weather, than in a colder maybe more dangerous season. Or maybe choosing the possible safer choice of staying totally locked down and out of all contact with the virus… for only the Lord knows how long it will take to be perfectly safe!

Especially when a bit more math tells us that half way through the year 2020, the 149,000 deaths so far compared to the 330 million people in the U.S. tells us that only 1 of about 2200 citizens of our country has died of Corona so far this year. At the same death rate, for the year, the odds of any single citizen dying of Corona still hovers around only 1 in every 1000+. I FAIL TO BELIEVE that ratio can justify the fear of the virus or can justify the trillions of debt dollars spent in the fight!

Second: The unparalleled expenditure WILL trigger dangerous INFLATION, and furthermore does threaten us with national bankruptcy! Will the average citizen continue to listen to the modern Pied Pipers in government and the banking industry who try to assure us that they can solve the problems and all will come out OK! Or will we listen to the lessons that history keeps shouting to us that WE ARE IN TROUBLE! Repeated claims here that precious metals, especially silver, are due for a price explosion are already beginning to happen. The reasons are many, and are known to those who have studied the facts and the history involved, so the current breakout from the $17 sn ounce average level over the past couple of years, has recently spiked to $23 an ounce! And mark my words, aside from bit movements up and down, it is destined to go much, MUCH higher!

And of course, have we learned the lessons taught by the 1930’s depression? The “Roaring ’20’s” was similar to our last decade of an ever soaring stock market, traced to near zero interest rates, then as is the case today! Then as now, people dove deeper into debt, lured by cheap borrowed money, and an every increasing market. It ended in “Black Friday!” All came crashing down, and every sign today is that we are in the same boat today, Repeatedly we are told that national debt, corporate debt, personal debt, even college student debt are at all time highs today. Are we totally blind to what will happen if the FED is forced to raise interest rates to combat a serious surge in inflation? Read the most eye opening book I have just read: Rickards THE ROAD TO RUIN! On p. 121, he says: “Today we see lessons being ignored again. Wall street is back to business as usual. The next catastrophe will be exponentially larger….the next time the world will not bounce back.”

What you say is right in line with Charlie’s warning. We are about to go over a cliff, God help us! I worry about the children and grandchildren, as there is only so much I can say.

  15. Charlie, you have to stop spreading misinformation I realize you cite to a source but that source was wrong. If you look up Dr. Redfields comments, he was talking only about schools. So the Redstate article you cite to left out the important first sentence. Surely if Covid had actually been causing twice as many suicides and drug overdoses, we would have heard about it by now. This is just Redstate perverting the truth so they can be a “conservative” and as we all know, conservatives have begun lying about Covid as much as liberals lie about Covid. Here is the real quote

But there has been another cost that we’ve seen, particularly in high schools. We’re seeing, sadly, far greater suicides now than we are deaths from COVID. We’re seeing far greater deaths from drug overdose that are above excess that we had as background than we are seeing the deaths from COVID. So this is why I keep coming back for the overall social being of individuals, is let’s all work together and find out how we can find common ground to get these schools open in a way that people are comfortable and their safe. And if there is a need for investment and resources, just like there is a need for some of the underprivileged children that are probably better served if they have certain comorbidities to do homeschooling, they need the access to be able to have the computer and the internet to do that.

Has any source actually reported an increase in number of suicides? I don’t think so.

    1. Dendrite, you make one good point – and then completely mis-analyze everything else. Redfield was talking about schools, primarily, but not solely. He was talking about the primary danger to young people, particularly in high schools. I don’t know where you came up with the business that Covid was causing “twice” as many suicides and drug overdoses, for neither I nor Redfield ever said any such thing. Though nothing I said is inaccurate, it was not couched in the precise language I usually use – saying it has become more deadly without emphasizing that the suicide and overdose rates have been rising dramatically since May while actual Covid deaths have been declining could lead people to think that more have currently died cumulatively from the former, which is probably not the case – yet. I say “probably” because we have no clue how many Covid deaths there actually are because of the intentional inflation of statistics (even Dr. Deborah Birx estimated the stats are inflated by as much as 25%). In part, it hits home for me, because while I know a few people who have had Covid, I know none who have died from it. I DO know a man who, after the shutdowns cost him his life’s work, committed suicide in May. VVhile conservatives have, of late, engaged in hyperbole on points they are making on the subject, they have NOT engaged in the routine outright lies that are the sum and substance of leftstream reporting. Therr is nothing even close to a moral equivalence to the two sides.

I had hoped that you were a regular reader dismayed at my failure to provide the usual nuance and precision. But two things make me suspect your comment is not in good faith. You present yourself as knowledgeable on this subject, but your last line is entirely absurd. There have been a raft of studies showing that, since May, suicides and overdoses have been rising on an ever-steepening curve – and for you to pretend to have no knowledge of this tells me you are either not very knowledgeable at all on the subject or did not make the comment in good faith in the first place. Second, this is the first time you have EVER commented here. That has often been a sign that people are not acting in good faith, but trying to confuse matters to prop up leftist talking points.

If I have misread you, I regret it. But before you come loaded for bear telling me to stop spreading misinformation because you did not like my somewhat hyperbolic emphasis, you need to get your facts straight and accurate. On the bright side, it did encourage me to make sure to recommit to avoid hyperbole without fully putting things in context.

    2. Dendrite, Welcome to discussions here. Since this was your first post, you might be unaware that Charlie is especially well informed about contemporary affairs, as well as history. Likewise, I think that if you would peruse the comments you would learn that posters here are also intelligent and well informed. Thus your politically motivated attack won over no one, but did identify you as a hostile partisan.

Nevertheless , there is a real issue about the financial and emotional stresses that accompanied this pandemic and our shutting down the economy. If you have ever been unemployed, needing work and its income, and discouraged by lack of jobs available, you would know serious depression follows, and depression obviously leads to substantial increases in suicides. Data have been collected following the 2008 economic collapse that substantiate common sense. For example, ” A dramatic spike in suicides between 2008 and 2010 can be linked with the economic crisis, according to a study published today in the British Journal of Psychiatry.

Researchers from the University of Oxford compared suicide data from before 2007 with the years of the crisis and found more than 10,000 “economic suicides” associated with the recession across the U.S., Canada and Europe. ” ( https://www.forbes.com/sites/melaniehaiken/2014/06/12/more-than-10000-suicides-tied-to-economic-crisis-study-says/#2cb19ae57ae2 ).

However, because intelligent discussion is interesting and welcomed here, I would enjoy additional comments, given you include a factual basis.

Dad had this bird house feeder that sat right outside our dining room window and he would try to come up with anything to get them to not eat his bird seed! One time he took a super large garbage can lid and attached it in the middle of the pole between the bird feeder and the ground. It took those old squirrels a while to figure out how to get around it, and of course, they did. They’d crawl up the side of the house (it was stucco), get on top of the air conditioning vent and jump to it from there. It was too, too funny! Would have been even funnier if they would have overshot the feeder and landed in the pool. haha

      1. President Trump was reacting to a CBS project that tried to prove that mail in votes were safe. They established a faux ballot, sent out 2 releases of 100 ballots each to a PO Box they established. The results 3% of the first 100 never made it to the address and 22% of the second batch never made it. Also a primary was recently held in NY based on mail in ballots and it has been a horrendous outcome. The primary was held 6/23/20 and results did not come in until 7/17 plus not all absentee ballots have been counted. Many many ballots were deemed not valid. Don’t expect any results the morning after the election. Fraud will be rampant.

        1. …and it was announced this morning that the final tabulation was concluded this week, the last week of July. So in the presidential election I imagine ballots will be continued to be “discovered” throughout the tallying (a month or so) depending on how many ballots are needed?

    2. Perhaps there’s a method to President Trump’s apparent madness … Here’s one of his Tweets:

      “Donald J. Trump
      @realDonaldTrump
      ·
      4h
Glad I was able to get the very dishonest LameStream Media to finally start talking about the RISKS to our Democracy from dangerous Universal Mail-In-Voting (not Absentee Voting, which I totally support!).”

… because mail-in voting would very likely delay (aka postpone) election results (along with being more prone to cheating).

Seems to me like President Trump makes a controversial statement the better to drive home the real point he wanted to make all along, which would have otherwise been ignored by the media.

      1. Although there are times I wish President Trump would not tweet some of the things he does, I totally think he trolls his opposition when he is tweeting. He is too smart to tweet some of the comments I’ve seen on twitter. The outrage from the other side accomplishes even more attention to his comments. The same thing is true when his comments are “flagged”. So many more people are aware of his comments after they are flagged.

        1. A part of me is really perplexed when this line of Trump apologetics comes up, based on everything the Bible has to say about how we are to fight.

Most conspicuously from his mouth (twitter finger), via his heart, Trump clearly fights the way the world fights. Since it’s NOT the way the Christian is given to fight, obviously it’s ultimately futile… if not fraught with the potential for future worldly recriminations on the Body of Christ. Not that I fear recriminations. And not that I don’t sometimes get some sort of base satisfaction from the grenades he launches.

Three cheers for him defending the family, the unborn, our Constitutional rights, etc., but that mouth and temper are anything but genius.

          1. I gotcha there MP.
Everything we do has a “butterfly effect”, especially in the spiritual nature of things. Dr. Scott Hahn comments on how many of the inappropriate progeny of biblical figures became the enemies of Israel. He concluded this was do to the sin in thier actions against the law of God and, dispite God “drawing straight with crooked lines” the damage was done and it’s effect, like original sin, had serious repercussions.
Trump has a cloud of witnesses praying for him and like the husband who does not practice or totally believe but allows his wife freedom to worship, is enabled to do God’s will effectively through his office.
And this is the real genius at work….

            1. In fact I was contemplating God’s promise to Abraham among other things last night, along with the unhappy consequences of Sarah’s lack of faith… her subsequent plotting and whatnot.

The Lord makes His promise, then the faithful one simply believes, waits on Him to bring it to fulfillment, acting as appropriate as called by God. Human second guessing and scheming doesn’t bring it about.

In the case of Sarah, the unhappy consequence is a wild jackass of a man, with a hand against everyone and everyone’s hand against him, living with hostility towards all his brothers.

One can see the Sarah’s of the world everywhere –– even amongst our own. Where are the ones with real, patient faith and wisdom? Oh, quietly going about His business in their ordinary lives I reckon.

          2. I agree with you MP, I have never been a fan of some of the off the cuff things he says and does, although the more I think about it God is always using imperfect people to accomplish His perfect will. I was trying to think of a biblical figure that he resembles, Sampson, Saul/Paul, or Peter in some ways? Anyway, I think Trump is slowly being humbled by all the good people he works with and I hope and pray that at some point he will have a road to Damascus moment, maybe not as dramatic, but that it will maybe turn around the temper and mouth. Besides, God is always using all us imperfect creatures in some way to accomplish His perfect will.

            1. Honestly, SJ, I think the satan throws rocks from both sides of the fence with equal cunning and effectiveness, but it would be more accurate to say that he has spewed an unimaginable torrent of disorienting and divisive filth out of his mouth to sweep all away. A flood heretofore unseen.

Woe to any mouth that imitates his.

In a surprising twist during prayer last night, I paused to come in out of the heat and discovered Bill Maher and a couple of guests discussing the horrors of the censorship and the cancel culture. Probably one of the most lucid and heroic shows I’ve ever seen him produce, with a defense of the First Amendment and most noble of American principles put forth with barely a whiff of partisanship. Oh, Jim Carrie joined the show later and jumped into more senseless Trump bashing, but Maher actually tried on multiple occasions to reel him back in.

Never been a Maher fan in the least, but God can indeed use any person for any purpose, however grands or small. As a matter of fact, that was only time I ever watched more than 15 seconds of that show.

Resumed things in the early a.m. this morning with a quick trip to get some caffeine. Encountered this sight just up over the hill on my way:

No words needed, but I did happen to be thunderstruck with one word: Unity.

Best we all let go of what hinders us.

              1. MP, I do agree on the mouth.

Really? on Bill Maher? Not a fan either, but that is pretty amazing to have a talk show like his actually talk about something that is closer to the truth of what we are facing these days.

Unity…a great hope we all have for our country, that’s for sure. What a gorgeous sunrise! I saw the sun coming up on my way home from work this am. I usually go chasing it while praying but wasn’t feeling that great this morning. Cold coming on, I think. Pushing it away with lots of Vit C and rest, hence why I have been talking here so much all day. BTW may I download your picture so I can put it on my computer?

“Best we all let go of what hinders us.” Wise words. Wish it were easier done than said. Working on it all the time, though. God Bless!

  19. A couple of things came to mind as I read this new piece of Charlie’s. First, I am glad to know that MN will have a regional coordinator. Can’t wait to meet him or her and all in or near MN. I met with Katico for lunch on Monday and really enjoyed our time together. She is amazing! I can’t imagine doing half of the stuff this beautiful lady has done in her lifetime with all the challenges she has faced. I was truly humbled. Thank you Kati!

I have been noticing more and more at our little grocery store that many shelves aren’t being restocked with many common items that people used to buy all the time. I have also been watching the costs of our bakery ingredients and supplies slowly creeping up to the point that we are going to have to up our prices yet again! We used to raise them about every three years. The last time was a year ago. Our bakery manager has been trying to put it off as long as he can but it is no longer possible. Now we have to start all over again. It is a big undertaking for such a small shop and I always feel bad every time we have to do this, especially with so many seniors on limited incomes that shop at our store.

Something I also have noticed over the last few months is that we are so busy fighting within our country with all the rioting, political jabbing, and bankrupting our government, I haven’t seen much in the news about what our adversaries are up to. That makes me super nervous.

Also, you are so right Charlie! I wouldn’t want to mess with the Archangel Gabriel either! Hail Mary, full of grace, pray for us sinners! I did what you did Charlie about praying the Rosary, but not for three weeks. Something happened to me a long time ago that shook my faith both in my Catholic faith and believing in Mary. It’s been a long road where I was going back and forth in my mind so much about is this right praying the Rosary? or is this wrong? Not too long ago I finally started seeing the mind games that were consuming me for what they were and just started praying it every day in hoping that Mary would take this trick of the satan’s little minions away from me. I now have a peace that I haven’t had since I was a teen about praying the Rosary and I am so grateful to Mary and Jesus for granting me this grace.

  20. About the devotion to Mary: I love this dialogue snippet from “The Chosen,” Episode 5: Jesus, Peter, and other disciples are walking to Cana for the wedding feast.

Simon (Peter): If this wedding is worth a journey for you, who has so much to do, perhaps it is also worth a journey for many wealthy Jews.

Jesus: You believe important and powerful Hebrews will be there?

    Simon: Possibly.

Jesus: Very keen, son. The most important and powerful person I know will be there.

    Simon: Oh, yeah?

    Jesus: My mother!

Can’t wait for the next set of episodes Sr. Bear.  My Lambzie ordered long and short sleeve shirts and I love wearing them in public.  I once met a young twenty something evangelical in the local sub shop who noticed and we had a great conversation about out our faith.  I expressed how important Jesus is to me and how much he changed my life.  He eventually asked where I worshipped and I said Ste Maries Catholic church.  Pause…..  Silence…..  Then it started to click in him that Catholics can have a vibrant Christian faith.  My favorite is the navy blue short sleave shirt that says, “get used to different.”  It is a great conversation starter.—- Sent from Doug’s Back Pack

  21. Last night our Cursillo group happened to discuss Our Lady and the perplexing attitude that some Christians have toward her. I wonder if protestants have a knee jerk negative reaction to Our Blessed Mother as a response to our Catolic devotion to her. It is so hard to understand how someone who loves Jesus could not love His Mother with great ardor.

    1. Kim, as a convert from Evangelical Protestantism, I’d like to chime in. Protestants reject devotion to Our Lady out of their love for God. They are not taught the difference between worship (which belongs to God alone) and veneration (deep honor and respect given to saintly people). For this reason, when they observe devotion to Our Lady, it looks like the worship which rightly belongs to the Trinity is being given to a human creature. The very idea of a human being placed on par with God appalls them, just as it would any faithful Catholic. When taught the difference between worship and veneration, it is much easier for Protestants to grasp the concept of honoring Our Lady.

Evangelicals and protestants usually believe in sola scriptora which means basically the Bible alone and the tradition and magisterial teaching don’t count.  That in and of itself is a debate, but for my evangelical and protestant brethren, I stick to the scriptures. In Hebrews, it referenced the old testament that the tabernacle contained the mana (bread if life), Aron’s staff (the great high priest) and the stone tablets (word of God).  Jesus is the bread of life (John 6), great high priest (Hebrews) and word of God (John 1).  When the Bible was originally written, there was no chapter and verse delineation.  Thus, Revelation 11 and 12 flowed together.  At the end of Revelation 12, John saw the arc of the covenant before the throne of God with lightening, rumbling, etc.  The next Chapter immediately begins with the woman with a crown of 12 stars who was about to give birth.  The arc of the covenant that John saw was the blessed Mother based on how scripture immediately flowed into Rev 12.  I then go back and point to the old testament at how revered the arc was to the point that it almost looked like the Jews worshipped the arc.  If someone carrying it dropped it, they were immediately smite by God.When the correlation is finally made, it is very evident that Mary was extensively prefigured in the old testament by how often the arc of the covenant was mentioned.  However, the key take away is how revered the arc was which prefigures how revered the Blessed Mother will be.I learned this teaching from Scott Hahn when he visited NH and gave a talk.  It brought my understanding of Mary to a whole new level and this after she brought me into the Church almost 15 years prior.Blessings to all here!Doug—- Sent from Doug’s Back Pack

      1. Doug– your bringing up of solaca scriptora reminds me of an occasion when we had a good friend over for dinner. He believes that way– that whatever is in the Bible is absolutely literal truth. But when we asked him about the words of Jesus– that if we do not eat his body and drink his blood we will not have life everlasting, he kind of stuttered about it a bit and then said that Jesus meant eat His words. I just don’t get it– it absolutely contradicts the premise.

      2. What I don’t get Doug, is where do they think the bible came from? If it wasn’t written for 300? years after Christ rose from the dead, how can they make the argument for sola scriptora if it was written through the magisterium from tradition?

        1. Juls, I agree, but just a bit of correction.  It was written by the original apostles along with other works written by the original apostles that are not in the Bible.  The Gospels, Acts, epistles and revelation were not organized.   They were codified in the 300’s by the church.  Not all of their works made it into the Bible.—- Sent from Doug’s Back Pack

      3. So right, Doug! I regarded Charlie’s last few paras on Our Lady as a most useful, succinct, summary of what we believe about Her and our veneration, not worship, of Her. I did know about Luther but not about Calvin or Zwingli, so that was an added bonus. A significant part of the Protestant population in Ireland (Northern Ireland, mainly, but also in the spreading Evangelical movement throughout) is very Calvinistic. Not that I’ll be picking fights or anything, but useful to have in the back pocket, so to speak. Most of them are very pro-life, God bless them. We sure need them!

  22. More on the reason the reported numbers on Covid-19 don’t match the true reality.
“Writing at the American Mind, Angelo Codevilla recently argued if the CDC had used the same criterion for the SARS virus as COVID-19—primarily “severe acute respiratory distress syndrome”—total COVID fatalities in the US would have been 16,000 through June.
Nobody knows the true count, of course. But the one thing left and right seem to agree on is the data we have are junk. And yet the lesson we keep hearing is “trust the experts.”

  23. I was on way to Mass this morning and 💭 thought to myself….wouldn’t it be cool if Charlie came up with a CoRaC daily morning prayer!!! I say the morning offering and Anne’s lay apostle prayer and co redemtrix and Auxillium Christianorum prayers but CoRaC daily prayer would be a very nice addition to my bathroom mirror! 🤔

Linda, I love you, but when I saw your comment, I thought, yeah, I am 80 hotdogs into this hotdog eating contest and you are asking wouldn’t it be great if I could just down 20 more real quick.

        2. Here’s to helping you with your other 20 hot dogs Charlie!

Maybe we could ‘adopt’ a simple prayer like this one to St. Joan of Arc.

“O Lord, you wondrously raised up Joan, your virgin,
to defend the Faith and her country in Your name.
Through her intercession grant that the Church may overcome the snares of her enemies, and attain lasting peace. Amen.

Or make up our own. Maybe something like this?

Lord, you have called upon your servant (Charlie) to create
the Corps of Renewal and Charity .
Help us to continue (t)his mission, (or vocation, or quest?), to
Defend the Faith, Hearten the Faithful, and Defend the Faithful.
Through the intercession of St. Joan of Arc and Our Lady of Tepeyac, (St. Gabriel?)
we ask for a greater Trust in God.
Show us the Next Right Step to take
so we can be a Sign of Hope to those around us
          in doing Your Holy Will.
In Jesus name we pray. Amen

I don’t know…maybe someone else has might be inspired to write one.

Thanks Charlie for all you do.

I JUST NOW saw this comment of yours! lol Well actually, When Beckita told me you have more than enough on your plate to do that, it dawned on me that you already DID do it! lol I say it many times a day when people need prayers! It’s the prayer of Miraculous trust! Ever hear of it??? lol So see…. you don’t need to scarf down 20 more hotdogs! They are already glued into your DNA! lol And actually the PMT is better than a daily prayer as I think most of us pray it more than once per day!

  24. John Solomon [con. journalist] along with S. Hannity and others have helped expose the “deep state” since 2017 and report that At. Gen. John Durham should be giving us information close to Labor Day as this occurred even in 2015 as At. Gen. Barr said it was longer and a Texas At. Gen. is now also involved so more unmasking will occur.

Jim Jordan got Dr. Fauci to admit that the protests and rioting caused more Covid but would not say it should not be done as he was saying about attending Church. It was so good about exposing Dr. Fauci.

    1. Nance, I will pray for your sweet little one. How soon does she need surgery, immediately or down the road a few months? I don’t know if this will be of any comfort, but my youngest had heart surgery at barely 3 months; she’s a grade-schooler now and is as fit as a fiddle. Praying for a miracle for Aria, either the “wow”‘ kind or one through the hands of her surgeons.

    1. Never more important, Linda! And if one resolves to make the continuous 5 starting today it will take one up to Sat 5th December, just 3 days away from the great feast of Her Immaculate Conception – with Christ-Mass only 2 weeks later! Never a better time to start than now, with many of Her images having been profaned – which was one of the reasons Jesus asked for this devotion.

  30. Charlie, I agree with the holding the economy hostage to the idiots in charge we are going to be in a bad place either way. Statements and others provide good examples as related in references to Our Mother, I a sure there are many more She has done, but once we get to Heaven, hopefully, we will be full of Joy at her love. for If we believe through faith that “Mary” will was one with Our Lords, via the Divine Will of of God So if Mary Our Lord for something good, God gladly replies.

I was really anxious to see the territory breakdowns as well as well as a some different things roles that are being established within the CORAC structure. I can see it is a monstrous effort and you deserve all our support and patience to get this moving knowing it will be tweeked to get it running as well as it can be. I think people must also understand that issue. And the listing and execution of assignment of goals as well as the direct internet interface with a tracking and that tracks people and events. But as you noted yesterday you have lots of contingency plans to keep things moving. This is always a good sign of a solid organization with a devotion to getting the message across and to protect its people. assume will certainly have a way of doing its offline, minus its distribution.
‘Paraphrasing ‘Mary can refused nothing when offered in Our Lords ‘.

Charlie and Beckita, and others, take a rest and dive in. It happens to me as well. I w
ill loose track of food and drink until I am ready to collapse. this happens to spiritual and temporal efforts.sd

;. I know Mary performed a miracle to save my life as well as 3 other siblings. There is no doubt. However, people with no faith will have doubts and thereby reject any miraculous interventions. It has nothing to do with there actions or reactions nor their life of living good or evil, or there continued support for banrupt and socialist policies.

    1. Good to hear from you again, jpo. I know so many continue to pray that hearts are softened so that people will respond to Divine Intervention. Fr. Wang, nearly 92 now and an avid reader whose eyes tire more readily these days, has taken to praying many daily Rosaries in each of the languages he spoke frequently in his twenties and thirties… French, Latin, Mandarin Chinese, Italian, Spanish and German in addition to English. That’s one soul responding to Our Lady’s pleas to intercede for our brothers and sisters. Servant of God Maria Esperanza often spoke of the many shafts of light (the ordinary people all over the world who pray for the conversion and salvation of others) rising to Heaven from the depths of darkness. An often silent Sign of Hope.

      1. Beckita,
Thanks Beckita for a really inspirational story regarding Fr. Wang and his rosaries he prays in so many languages. I have often thought of language and that it such a wonderful gift from God. People in general take it for granted that it was established by these people and then another etc. I firmly believe God loves diversity in his creation. God put in place the framework for man to use their intellect to allow them to communicate, as Fr. Wang is doing in praying the rosary in so many languages, mentally and vocally. I like t look at this as a sort of way in which Fr. is giving back to God, through prayer, one of His infinite gifts that he has freely given to man. I think this is a very special gift that Fr. Wang can represent so many aspects of just one of God’s gifts in which He has blessed us. Jesus communicated with both man and the Father and Holy Spirit, and in some cases used human language as one of his methods. I think all forms of communicating whether it be good, bad or mentally or verbally originate in the heart. This is where Jesus desires to reside if we are willing to let Him in. But Jesus really wants to possess us in His Sacred Heart for all eternity, Blessed are you Fr. Wang and all those of God’s flock that praise Him using this precious gift to man.
