Since late in 2018, people have been sending me personal emails suggesting that I listen to Fr. Michel Rodrigue whose talks were being uploaded on You Tube. A few suggestions were sent to me via our TNRSAnswers email service. Since last fall, some commenters have, intermittently, pointed readers to new You Tube offerings from Fr. Michel. While Charlie has given us a lot of latitude when people refer to their favorite apparitions and messages, we are ever redirected to the true purpose of why we have formed this community: to live out the core message fostered here:  “Acknowledge God, take the next right step and be a sign of hope to those around us.” The deeper we get into the vicissitudes of this Storm, the sweeter and more strengthening this message has become.

When we were at TNRS, I actually reread Charlie’s writing more than a few times… some pieces more than others. I laughed when I once – among many times – popped a Charlie quote into my comment and he then quipped: “You remember what I said better than I do.”  Seriously now, how often he has reminded us – at TNRS and ASOH – to let go of the fascination with trying to figure out God’s Plan. How often we’ve been reminded that interpreting prophecy is a most intricate and precarious process. Just last November, Charlie wrote in his piece, My Hierarchy of First Things:

“It may surprise some, but at the very bottom of my tools of discernment is private revelation, including my own. It is exceedingly rare that I have looked to private revelation as a tool to decide what to do. There are too many frauds and delusions in the mix for it to be reliable. Even when it is authentic, it is unbelievably hard to interpret accurately – and often even partially so…

If we use the best of it as a sort of terrain map to gauge the challenges we face, it can be useful in helping to apply Scripture and the Magisterium to those particular circumstances. But if you ground your discernment and decisions on private revelation, you build your house on sand. It is easy to get enthused into thinking you know God’s secret plan by letting private revelation become your magisterium, but to do so requires that you ignore almost all of Scripture and the experience of the authentic Old Testament prophets who rarely knew more than the next right step ahead of them, even when they were prophesying about things hundreds of years in the future. However straightforward it sounds, it almost never is. Without the benefit of hindsight, who could have understood what Jesus meant by His assertion that if the temple were torn down, he would re-build it in three days? Or his insistence that we must eat His body and drink His blood to have life within us? God does not so much disclose Himself to us as He unveils His presence – and the final veil does not fall until the end of time. As St. Paul says, so long as we are here, we see as if through a glass, darkly. (see 1 Corinthians 13:12)

The best of private revelation is like a weather report, useful in determining how to outfit ourselves. But when it comes to action, we must stick to the hard bedrock of the land and roads as expressed by Scripture and the Magisterium through obedience to the lawful orders of legitimate authority set over us by God.”

These reminders led me to a decision I made on Sunday after it came to my attention that Fr. Michel, whose writings and videos are featured at a new website, has instructed those who have been featuring his material on their site to clarify the standing of Fr. Michel’s Bishop Gilles Lemay concerning the alleged messages Father has received which have been receiving wide attention. The following passage was posted on the new website:

“On April 23rd, 2020, Fr. Michel Rodrigue informed us that his bishop, Rev. Gilles Lemay, does not support Fr. Michel’s messages; he stated to Fr. Michel, in writing, that he does not support the idea of “the Warning, the chastisements, the third World War, the Era of Peace, any construction of refuges, et cetera.” Fr. Michel, wishing to remain obedient, has asked Countdown to the Kingdom to remove any mention on this website of his bishop’s support of his messages, which we have done.”

Unfortunately, in my assessment, those who followed the directive requested by Bishop Lemay went on to state that they are keeping all of Fr. Michel’s material on the site. I don’t think this is a wise decision. To consider why, let’s reread another passage from My Hierarchy of First Things:

“When I am given direction by my Bishop, whether publicly or privately (and I have been given both – and, over time, by more than one Bishop), my question is NOT whether his judgement is better or worse than mine. That is utterly irrelevant. My questions are whether it is within the sphere of his legitimate authority and whether it is a lawful order. If it satisfies both conditions, I obey, for in doing so I know that I am being obedient to God by my obedience to the hierarchy He set up. If I have serious and weighty concerns over a lawful order, I certainly have the right to discuss it with the authority over me, but it is a right I use very sparingly so as not to be merely willful (although my director Priests might dispute that on occasion. Thanks be to God, we developed such a good, warm relationship that our visits were usually a mutual search for what was right and true – and were mutually rewarding.) To be entirely candid, often when I have gotten lawful direction, I have been relieved because that is, at least, one decision I don’t have to make, knowing that even if it is temporarily errant, the obedience itself is pleasing to God.

Understand that, in Christianity, obedience is not a matter of the lesser submitting to the greater. Rather, it is a means of opening up channels of grace. Both disobedience and thoughtless direction clog the channels of grace. If I have been disobedient, the thoughtfulness of my superior’s direction helps open the clog. If my superior has been thoughtless, my obedience helps open the clog.”

While the promoters of Fr. Michel’s messages on their website have done what Bishop Lemay requested, I have discerned, in the spirit of obedience, to ban Fr. Michel’s material from A Sign of Hope. Remember, it is the local Bishop who has the legitimate authority and responsibility, given by the Church, to investigate and make decisions concerning alleged private revelation received by someone in his Diocese. And, while the Bishop has not yet conducted a formal investigation, he has clearly stated he does NOT support the ideas in the messages. Therefore, I think it is the greater wisdom to rest from the alleged messages and trust that God will open new doors if the messages are of Him.

I understand that Fr. Michel’s new religious order which he founded, The Apostolic Fraternity of St. Benedict Joseph Labre, has been growing and there is a new monastery under construction. I’ve also read that Father’s work includes preparing priests for the future of the Catholic Church. May God bless Fr. Michel and may his good works for the Lord flourish as we pray for all our Priests!

  4. Hmm, the bishop did not ask them to remove his videos or words or stop him from traveling around the country the last 2 years, so I think it is a wise decision for Christine, Mark, Daniel, and Peter to keep Father Michel’s messages up.

    Father Michel went around the world for the past 2 years giving talks, and he said all during 2019 that he was told by God that he was not going to travel outside Canada after February of 2020. And he advised everyone to have a lifelong confession by the end of 2019 and monthly ones thereafter. Father had talks scheduled monthly for 2 years spreading the word, but scheduled no talks after Feb 15, 2020. As hindsight now shows, he was exactly right as we’ve all been made to shelter in place by this virus no one saw coming. One can believe or not all his other words, be he was proven to exactly right on this and no one else in the world, to my knowledge, publicly said this. Lucky guess on his part? I for one, will be keeping a close eye on him but will not discuss it here per your request, we’ve all had enough warnings and one is not awake yet to read the signs of the times, not sure any more warnings will help awaken those 🙂

    1. It is a bit of a conundrum as to why the Bishop didn’t prevent the speaking engagements and videos being distributed, Tom. Yet, the Bishop’s current statement is very clear and Fr. Michel, to his credit, has obeyed and conveyed that the Bishop does not support key elements in his messages.

      We surely have had ample warnings that this Storm would come to pass. 🐿

        Even the best of us, when we are rock solid sure about things, find out we are but chaff in the wind. God tests us to show this to ourselves so we can be reminded He is sovereign, mystery and power. Charlie has reminded us too, that few get it right.

    2. I think this is a test of authentic obedience for Fr. Michel and all of us. God knows the whole picture and has it under control. We must do our part regardless. 1 cor 13, “prophesy, tongues and knowledge will cease……………..but love will endure forever”

  6. Hi Beckita!!! Very good article here! I remember Charlie telling us in Jackson that obedience is more important than anything!!! Michael likes that because after Charlie told us that I’m trying to be more obedient to My authority over me; namely Michael!!! It’s so hard for I am a strong willed gal!!! I want to grow a garden but he says I’m a person of higher ideals and I’ll never be able to do it!!!!😫😖😳🤔🤭😬🙄 but anyways, I’ll keep knocking on that door and am hoping if I pester him enough he’ll eventually let me try!!!😃

    I do like Fr Rodrigue I’m glad to hear he’s being obedient!!! I’m not sure he’s 100% accurate but at this point I do see what you are saying in that we have to simply acknowledge God, take the next right step and be a sign of hope to those God puts in our path!!!

    Even THAT is very hard to do and I take great comfort that if you take the wrong step…well…it’s to be expected and just regroup!!!!

    One good bit of news!!! Ohio bishops are opening Masses back up May 29th!!!! Lord knows I personally really need Him as we all do!!!

    1. Linda, I agree! I started to look into what Fr Michel was saying, and did find many similarities to the ASOH message, though he did have a few aspects that seemed so sure to happen that I thought in my head about how humble and cautious Charlie had been in the past about things happening.

      I really like Fr Michel’s charisma and I do think much of what he suggests (asking guardian angels for help, keeping the Holy Family as our guide, etc), but then there were some very far out claims that I thought “wow”….

      1. Many prophesies are conditional depending on our response. A trap to fall into is to believe it is a given and there is nothing we can do to mitigate or lessen. If anything, I would hope it motivates us to live our own faith more deeply and be a sign of hope for others by doing the daily work in front of us.

        1. Amen, Doug. Because prophecy, as Charlie has so often reiterated in an abundance of ways, prophecy is ultimately a call to turn to our Heavenly Father and make a return to the Covenant He made with us. That conditional element in prophecy keeps me praying for the finest mitigation there is: the return of hearts to our God.

        2. Fr. Michel’s prophecies, along with the whole thrust of the “Countdown to the Kingdom” website, threw me into an absolute tailspin as this was starting up. I prayed for God to take me home, as I no longer wanted to live in the world he prophesied as certain to come. Yes, it is as if what is prophesied will absolutely come to pass just as is being predicted, more like looking into a crystal ball than as a wisp of what may come in some fashion if we don’t pray and act. There is no chance of mitigation or another way for things to happen. Those predictions are horrible!! Who wants to be the survivor of a concentration camp because you’re a Catholic when the person next to you, perhaps a strong believing Christian but not Catholic, is executed in front of your eyes and you somehow miraculously go free? What scars would we carry with us? And so much of these prophecies seem to make us passive sheep (pets, as Charlie called them earlier), unable to do anything to effect the outcome of the battle. Sorry, I would rather go down fighting with everything in me than just sit back and wait to see if I made the cut! If the nightmare happens, at least I will have known I did all I could to stop it. So, bottom line, I am happy to see this decision about Fr. Michel’s prophecies, even though he seems very likeable and holy.

      I can relate to your wanting Mass to start back up. They have started allowing nine people in our parish to sign up to attend daily mass. I want to so bad, but being a bakery worker and exposed to people when I work makes me nervous to sign up because we have so many seniors who regularly attend our daily masses. I would never be able to forgive myself if I were one who gave someone this virus. Mind you I am not afraid of the virus, just possibly exposing someone to it.

      Gardening? My dad had the green thumb. I’m the Midas of plants. Everything I touch turns brown. Now if it were gold I wouldn’t mind! lol I have started looking into hydroponic gardening. My husband is the dirt gardener in our family. We got a huge crop of potatoes last year and he did the potatoes in containers you would normally buy a large tree in. They came out in funny shapes though. We had a Smurf, Wimpy(from Popeye), Chewbacca, and R2D2, just to name a few. We had some very interesting meal conversations with those!

        I had a garden once when raising my boys… I liked it very much but of course was much younger so we will see…but I figure it can’t be any harder than cleaning 🧹 a house for a living which is very hard work… first off we need some 🌞 and warmth!!! Hahahaha Your potatoes 🥔 sound so cute!!! May I ask you how to grow potatoes???

        1. Linda, thanks for the kind words. I can relate about the busy brain, there are some days I can’t shut mine off! Haha. Just to clarify, I am not a baker, I don’t think I could ever do that kind of work. Those 50lb. sacks of flour would do me in! I am just a packager and decorator (OK, and eater, too lol).

          Gardening: If you want the kinds of character potatoes that my husband grew, you’ll have to ask him. Haha. Remember me? The brown thumb?

          I just asked my husband for you how he grows his potatoes and he said, “In dirt!” Omgosh, I’m so overtired, I can’t stop laughing!!!

          OK- done laughing now…
          He puts a few inches of soil and a light sprinkling of fertilizer (he uses miracle grow) in the container, then places the seed potatoes with some of the ‘eyes’ upward in it. Maybe three or four in a container (his are about 22″ diameter and about 12″ deep). Then put 4-6″ of dirt on top of them with a little more fertilizer. Water 2-3 times a week, just make sure to keep them slightly moist. If you overwater them they will rot. Grow in direct sun. As they start growing into a bush you want to make sure if any potatoes come exposed above the soil you need to put more soil on top of them. If they get exposed to the sun they can get a green skin on them which is poisonous. You can keep adding soil to them as they grow up towards the top of the container. When the bushes start turning brown and start to die, that’s when you cut off the top part and dig out the potatoes, carefully so you don’t damage them. Brush them off and let them sit on a tray for a couple of days. This lets them develop a tougher skin and helps preserve them longer. If the skin on any of them gets damaged you need to use them right away or they will rot. Store in a cool dry place and they will keep for a few months. (They never last that long in our house because my hubby is a meat and potatoes man).

            1. Yes, the pots are the ones that small trees are sold in, so about 20″-24″ diameter by 18″-20″ deep. He said this year that he is going to plant them in the garden so he gets better results. If you do plant them in the garden you need to plant them 8″-10″ deep with fertilizer put in first, then some dirt then the potatoes. Then fill in with soil to garden level.

              2. Juls, I’m loving your stories of your husband’s gardening exploits! Regarding planting potatoes in the garden, what kind of soil do you guys have (sandy, clay, good humus)? We have soil with a ton of clay in it. Planting potatoes at the usually recommended 8″ – 10″ deep is extremely difficult; and digging the potatoes at season’s end would be pert near impossible. We plant ours about 2 inches deep and then just hill them like crazy during the season, so that all the potatoes form above ground. Just my $0.02. 🙂

                Another question (sorry if you answered it someplace else already): Which potato varieties are your guys’ favorites to plant?

                1. You’re right Mick! Thanks for the two cents. I looked at the pot and I think he plants them 6″ deep.

                  Our soil is generally sandy (our house was built on a swamp, of course didn’t find that out until a couple of years after we bought it). About 30 years ago we brought in black dirt (combo dirt and compost). We gardened for about 20 years and then decided to take a break and support our local farmers market for a while, so the garden became a dumping ground for leaves, a duck boat, old growing pots, etc. The ducks, possums and mice loved it! Me, not so much! Turning those leaves under really made for some rich soil though. About four years ago we started up again. My hubby decided to go all out last year and bought eight tomato plants. We had to pick them before they were completely ripe because we compete with the squirrels for the tomatoes.(my husband’s wildlife pets, he has them all named, lol) We had tomatoes on the window sills, on the kitchen table, and even the central air unit! Lots of spaghetti sauce and tomato soup last year! 😛

                  Last year he planted Red Norlands and some other kind of white potato (his words), and yes, they cross polinated so we had some unique red and white combos, too.

                  This year he got the Red Norlands again (delicious potato, btw), Superior (whites), and Yukon Golds. He is planning on planting the tomatoes, green peppers and strawberries in pots and the potatoes in the garden with the pumpkins this year. We’ll see how it goes. Maybe we’ll end up with pumptatoes! Wouldn’t that be a combo to try! haha

                  1. Oh, Juls, I would love to see your garden! It sounds amazing (well, except for the squirrels eating the tomatoes). I’m laughing at the image of all the tomatoes on all the surfaces in your house. Right now we have that issue with herbs that we’ve harvested: I have dehydrator trays full of nettles and violet everywhere! They’re on top of the piano, covering the couch and the piano bench, and….

                    We planted Red Norlands this year, too, for the first time. Thanks for letting me know that they actually taste good. We haven’t had much success with Yukon Golds for some reason. Kennebecs do well here, though, and don’t seem to mind the clay soil.

                    1. Ok all you horticultural experts– I took my lime tree outside a few weeks ago. It had about 50 babies on it. Looked at it yesterday– all were eaten! Anybody know what might have gotten them? Googled, but came up with nothing. So sad!!

                    2. While I was on my pilgrimage, I was just entering Oxnard, California, when a small box of produce dropped off a truck turning in front of me. I was pretty hungry at the time, so I got it up eagerly seeing what form my “manna from heaven” would take. There were some strawberries, some lemons and some limes. Needless to say, I ate the strawberries first. But I did not waste a bite of the lemons and limes. Yeah…made for a pretty sour dinner…but when you are really hungry (haven’t eaten for 20 hours or more) EVERYTHING tastes a lot better. Sorry you lost your limes – but I had nothing to do with it!

                    3. Ha, Charlie! You would be welcome to them– but they were just tiny beginnings of limes. They wouldn’t have been filling for you like they must have been for the birds. You must have been really hungry to eat lemons and limes!!

                    4. Funny thing, Kim, after you have not eaten for about 36 hours, hunger completely dominates you. Thankfully, it only happened to me occasionally on my walk. The longest period with no food was three days. Fortunately, it did happen often enough that I came to realize that we Americans do not know what hunger is – and I only scratched the surface. Weirdly, after you get used to real hunger from time to time, it doesn’t always (or even usually) manifest in the sort of pangs we talk about when we say we are hungry. Often, there is rather an oppressive fatigue that overtakes you. I discovered this walking up an extended hill early on in Alabama. It was early morning, I had slept fine the night before, but I could barely put one foot in front of the other. I sat down and had a yogurt-covered granola bar from my pack. Man! I perked right up. If you ever do something like this, try to always have trail mix and granola secreted in your pack. It metabolizes fast and gives you almost an instant burst of energy. Processed foods such as packaged donuts or honey buns take a VERY long time to process – and will not give you the jolt of energy and alertness you need in extreme conditions. They’re not bad for you – they just do not give results until much later.

                    6. Oh I don’t know if you would really want to see it, lol. We grow among many weeds we are fighting constantly. It’s funny how much yield we do get considering the weeds. Too bad the weeds aren’t edible. We’d never go hungry! 🙂

                    12. Juls, are you certain that the weeds aren’t edible? My garden has plenty of burdock (which we let grow for the sheep and goats), dandelions, pigweed, lamb’s quarters, and chickweed, and nettles, all of which are edible (and tasty). It looks a bit untidy, but hey! Free food that I didn’t have to plant! 🙂

                  1. Audie, I’m guessing that it’s probably mullein, especially if the leaves are fairly large. If they’re soft but much smaller, I’d guess that it’s probably woolly lamb’s ears. (If it’s mullein, it’s also good for respiratory tract infections–including pertussis. If it’s woolly lamb’s ears, it’s good for cuts and other wounds.)

I imagine you have books and a good memory, but is there one book you’d recommend regarding healing properties found in nature? I think someone has mentioned certain books before (you?). Thanks!

                    2. Ha, Audie! I do have plenty of books. And I used to have a really good memory; then I had kids, and… yeah…. 🙂

                      For some of the more common medicinal plants, the two books that have been the most helpful to me are The Herbal Home Remedy Book, by Joyce Wardwell; and Making Plant Medicine, by Richo Cech. Both books are fantastic; but if you only want to get one book, I would suggest Wardwell’s. (one word of warning, though: the index stinks). Here are the links for the cheapest sources I could find:

            1. Thanks, Juls! They were tiny little baby limes. We were so excited. Bought it for my husband Christmas before last so he could have the limes for his Corona beer! That site suggested hanging cds or netting the tree. I need to do that for my apple tree too. Every year something eats all our apples in one night– before they’re ripe. #@!*%$!

              1. Wow Kim, I would have been angry, too. CDs that’s interesting. What part of the country do you live in that you can grow limes? I’ve always wanted to try an indoor lemon tree but I’m in Minnesota so it’s only hot 5 months out of the year. I hope whatever you try works. Let me know! I have plenty of old cds so now when my very inventive husband decides to get the apple tree he wants I will have a possible solution for him. Hmmm…I wonder if CDs would deter the birds and squirrels from our black raspberries? Will have to look into that. Thanks for the idea! ~juls

Juls—the idea for the cds was on the site you shared with me–we live in the Memphis area–I have a sun room in my house, so our lemon tree and lime tree and various other plants come inside in the winter. That room gets lots of afternoon sun, so they do well in that room. In the spring I bring them outside. Glad my husband can still move them around for me!

By the way Kim, I also had raccoons that kept climbing a tree in my front yard and taking down my bird feeder every other day.  I finally caught him one night when I saw the feeder sway.  I got out my high intensity mag light flashlight and saw the little bugger climbing to the top of the tree.  I initially thought it was a bear because they raid bird feeders in NH (not just squirrels).  So raccoons,  bears and squirrels are all in conspiracy together to raid bird feeders.  My feeder now resides under the eve on my porch.  So far, none of co conspirators have since reached it there.—- Sent from Doug’s Back Pack

I have a friend who is a master gardener–she is going to look at the lime tree–she hadn’t heard of little limes being eaten–she wondered if it had gotten too dry or if they had blown off.   7. Actually the Bishop says he does not support his messages, he does not say we can’t read his messages. It great that Fr Michel is obedient, even though the Bishop did not order him to stop. The local Bishop was against Medjugorje as well. Thanks be to God this was taken out of his hands. Perhaps the same will happen for dear Fr Rodrigue. So many are put through this test, like St Padre Pio, St Faustina, Servant if God Louisa Piccarreta to name just a few! Until I hear that listening to Father is forbidden I will continue to listen to him. The Bishop stared his personal opinion with no investigation. I will pray for both of them!

    1. While the Bishop’s statement is without a formal investigation being mentioned, he has supported Fr. Michel in his endeavor to start a new order so surely these two have had an ongoing relationship with discussions, perhaps, about many things. The Bishop’s current statement bears great weight because he is the only one, in the initial observations and fact gathering, charged with the responsibility and legitimate authority to make declarations about private revelation given to someone in his Diocese. This is an authority which bears more weight than simply any Bishop’s opinion. Praying with you and all who are concerned.

      1. I should note that I completely support your decision, Beckita. I am in the somewhat incongruous situation of being exasperated with the frantic efforts to decipher various signs and wonders these days. It is not as incongruous as it seems at first glance. I have consistently said that, once we are in the rapids, what we do and our habits of mind are far more important than what we think we know. We are in the rapids – and panicked efforts to figure out exactly what God is going to do while we sit as frightened, passive spectators waiting for it to come to pass will avail us nothing. I have always maintained that we are God’s hands and feet on earth – and now it is time to work, to do, to act…rather than continue to speculate while doing little or nothing.

        A plausible case can be made for hearing Fr. Michel. But the focus of this site is how to go forward, how to act well as God’s hands and feet. I have no animus against Fr. Michel – and apparently he is doing some very good things. But while you are striving on the battlefield under fire it is not the time to get a briefing on how the guns work. If we have not done that already to help set our course, we have already failed. Our focus here is on how to go forward under God, taking the next right step, and being a sign of hope. I certainly do not despise prophecy, but to treat that as if it is all there is when we are under fire and God, through Our Lady and others (particularly over the last century) has called us to ACT when these times came, is a distraction. I want to keep our focus here on what to do and how to live each of our particular vocations well and with fidelity, that we may participate in ushering in the prophesied Triumph of the Immaculate Heart.

  8. Hi Beckita, please notice the bishop neither condemned the messages. Each private revelation should be credited 50/50 chances at most by anybody, but still what if? Same applied to Charlie. He is a very reasonable, insightful and intelligent man even if there were some unreliable outcomes. I came upon this countdowntothekingdom website a week ago, but it looks to me that with a high possibility,these messages may be true. The approach, “let’s see later on if it comes from God” is not a prudent one in my opinion… Look at Medugorje, this was not only not supported but also CONDEMNED by the local bishop for a long time, now that is last year Vatcan See approved pilgrimages to Medugorje,St. Faustina’s Divine Mercy messages were condemned too initially, now we have Divine Mercy Holiday first Sunday after Easter Sunday…

    Here we have Fr. Rodriguez ,an abbot obedient (so far) to his bishop, who also is an exorcist… Got to give it 50/50 for sure and it is prudent to examine and discuss these messages on Catholic forums like this one too. Anyway the most important thing is to stay close to God, private revelations are not substantial. They might be substantial for those that need to convert, as a confirmation for unbelievers or as a supplemental guide for those who are close to God and will be helping others. Just a thought.

By the time Charlie first established TNRS, we had already been flooded with prolific alleged messages. What I appreciate is that TNRS and now ASOH is a place to dwell on how to navigate this Storm. We have worked on mental habits and encouraging one another in living the core message. Now we must continue to live it as we hearten each other along the way.

  9. Beckita, Your good note here, with its explanation about reservations about contemporary prophesy as treacherous resonate with my own feelings. As a youngster, I took to science as a way of understanding how this world was created and follows God’s Law, what science terms principles or laws of the universe. But now in my old age, I’ve come to appreciate the human knowledge, powered most of the time by our wt brain, is simply not capable of fathoming what God is and what God does, or intends– beyond what scripture reveals, and that may itself be hard to fully understand. I’ll give three examples of how seemingly simple phenomena are deceptive.

    One night in an electrical engineering lab course I was taking for the fun of it as a physics major, I heard a commotion developing. We were all given quite literally black boxes to work with and had o determine if there were three resistors in the box configured as a Y or as a triangle. A couple members of our illustriously bad football team at Carngie Tech had gotten frustrated enough that they were breaking open one of the boxes. Now, what was in the box was not three resistors configured as a Y or triangle, but a mess of capacitors and resistors, much a you would see in the old television sets. That left an impression on me about how formulating ptinciplrs might seem to work, ut not faithfully represent the underlying, unseen, complexity.

    In the old days in school, we were shown nice, simple drawings of human cells. These cells had a cell wall, and in the interior there was a special area with a walled off nucleus. Much later on, science found that the nucleus contained the marvelously engineered DNA, and also a variety of RNA messaging molecules. With high powered microscopes, we were then able to see the the cell wall was intricacy fashioned, and the cell contained hundred of proteins acting a virtual machines. The cell that used to appear simple, was in fact a fantastically complex marvel of engineering.

    In physics there is a principle from quantum mechanics that i9mplied that elementary particles could communicate instantly regardless of how far apart hey might be, even light years apart, their communication would be instantaneous. Einstein pointed out that no mechanism would be plausible, because communication time was required for even messages traveling at light speed, and light speed set the maximum speed possible. So, he labeled what he thought was a mistake in quantum physics as “spooky action at a distance.” It could not be possible, he thought. But it turns out that this principle from quantum mechanics works. Conventional physics still lacks any explanation for how it works.

    God’s works are simply ultimately beyond our comprehension.

Your analogies remind us to totally rely on God, trusting at every moment we’ll be given the inspiration and grace to act in ways which allow us to co-create with Him in His great Plan now unfolding before us and within us.

As an example of how that works for me, as I now watch how so many or the leadership in the Democrat Party are scheming to harm our economy, with the media supporting them by attacking Pres Trump and dissing potentially available treatments for the virus, I get vexed–but then catch myself by trusting God has it all under control, even if I will not see how it works out while I’m here to watch.

          Hunters and fishermen use a tool called a “feed phase” which tracks the best potential time periods for game activity. It uses a set standard of sun/moon orbits to descern when these periods peak and along with the season’s, can be a very accurate tool.
          Interestingly enough, I have seen how these periods can coincide with other animal movements and tide and wind movement.
          I can be on the phone with someone in another location and we will see these actions simultaneously. As you note, an invisible power activates these movements and, by our observations, seem to happen instantly across the land.
          Of course, these are well recorded and even the term “lunacy” considers the effects of the moon upon man. Charlie has coined the phrase “the dynamic tension of the universe” and I find it quite accurate to most interrelationships.
          I also believe in other “unseen” powers which are not of nature but are supernatural in their source which are effective despite space and time. Bilocation is one such reality and those entering the angelic realms seems to have no impediments from time or space.

          1. Phillip, Yes, there are forces and domains that operate in which our mortal sense-perception may at best see only the results, but not those forces or other domains of reality. As we have learned from science, there is an electromagnetic spectrum of which we can sense only a tiny portion. In my text, Near Death Experience of Space, Time, and Consciousness, I organized features from the NDE reports with principles from science, such as found in Relativity Theory (e.g., time no longer existing at light speed, implying photons do not experience time), and quantum mechanics (e.g., entanglement), to theorize how the spiritual domain functions and influences what we may experience, such as paranormal phenomena and receive transcendental knowledge during the NDE and deep meditation.

              Watching video footage of the children in Garabandal while in esctacy gives an interesting look at the “other side”.
              I noticed that they are looking into different directions and are not focused on a common spot and sometimes seem to be having different conversations with Our Lady at the same “time”. This is similar in the Medjugorje visionaries behavior as well. This reveals that they are “seeing” with their souls and not their eyes. They are also hearing with their souls and not their ears. Other phenomenon relates them being too heavy to move, unresponsive to pain and light, etc. This indicates a change in their actual nature as well and how time and space h been effected in their flesh as well as their perception.

              1. I’m thinking this phenomenon is something many men can relate to: my wife can read my mind.

                Not only that but she talks to me in my sleep. She makes sure I got my to do list for the next day. Plus, she gives me little pep talks in her sleep.

                Often I’ll be thinking about something to be done or somewhere to go and she will say “Let’s go out for ice cream.” Go figure.

                I think God works pretty much the same way. God hears us for sure. No prayer goes unanswered. Sometimes the answer is no. God invites us to talk to Him. Perpetual Adoration chapels are a good example and a good place to go talk to God. He’s waiting. But, luckily, conversation with God is not a one way street. I believe we can all hear what God has to say to us as individuals. Directly. Sometimes softly as in a whisper like Elijah in that cave on Mt. Carmel, or sometimes, more urgently and with emphasis like that mule and the two by four.

                God hears us loud and clear. 5 X 5 as the pilots say. Us? Many of us are more like 1 X 5 in hearing what God is transmitting our way. Noisy, weak signal. “Say, what was that Lord? Can you repeat?”

                The key to hearing is listening. Got to have a good listener. Got to be adept at listening. Listening is a skill that can be developed and improved. Perhaps a matter of concentration. A matter of training and practice. Lots of reps. Kinda like Jonesy here:

                A key is to make sure your antennae are up and scanning the frequencies looking for and anticipating “a message from God.” Cuz, He’s broadcasting whether your receiver is up and running and listening to hear the signal or not. And quiet. Be quiet and attentive and prepared to receive.

                So here’s the thing … IMO it is wise and well to be cautious about the things you are hearing in the night that might be from God. Or, maybe not. Maybe it is from your own chemically disturbed brain cells. Or, just maybe it is from the Enemy trying to appear like he is God talking to you. He is a deceiver after all. Demonic deception … a phrase Charlie coined in describing Islam. Got to be extra careful about that Demonic Deception thing. So what to do?

                You wait for confirmation. You let it sit for awhile. Sleep on it. Turn it over in your head. Then form a conclusion in your mind. A matter of Faith? Belief in things unseen? Go ahead and then watch for the fruits. If it is good you will know it. If it is a deception you will know that too.

                I don’t ever dismiss the personal revelations of others too quickly or too peremptorily. You never know. And why shouldn’t God be talking to that guy or that girl? If that person is a fellow Christian I try to give them the benefit of the doubt. God may be applying the two by four to you through that person.

                Harden not your heart if today you hear His voice. Even if that voice is coming through the vocal chords of somebody the world considers to be a nut job.

                I take everything I read here at ASOH from the contributors pretty seriously. I think many don’t know it but they are operating to deliver a message to those who have ears to hear and to those who don’t. Messengers. You know what a messenger for God is? Why, an Angel of course. That’s what they do. Angels are as Angels does as Forrest Gump might say. Did it ever cross your mind that you might be functioning as a human angel for God? Why not? God works with what He has. He’s got us.

                Don’t know this Fr. Michel. Human angel or disturbed brain chemistry? Not a clue but I am going to look him up.

      1. Yes, a huge Mellon donation got the name changed, It enjoys a high academic reputation. One of my ironies is that I left Carnegie when I got disappointed by the limitations of physics knowledge as explained by their Nobel prize winner, Herb Simon, in his psych course, snd then when I was about to graduate from UConn with a PhD in psych, he was interested in having me join Carngie Mellon for my first job, but I was then committed to serving in the Army, where I eventually made my main career.

Pour forth your brilliance upon my intellect, dissipate the darkness which covers me, that of sin and of ignorance. Grant me a penetrating mind to understand, a retentive memory, method and ease in learning, the lucidity to comprehend, and abundant grace in expressing myself. Guide the beginning of my work, direct its progress, and bring it to successful completion. This I ask through Jesus Christ, true God and true man, living and reigning with You and the Father, forever and ever. Amen.

    That said, whenever I get caught up in prophecies I have to ask myself why do I want to know the future so much?

    If in the past I would have known what was coming in the future would I have done something different? Perhaps yes, if so do that now.

    Sufficient is the trial’s off today.
    Please Lord help me to know and do your will.

  12. There’s no way to know God’s complete plan, even when we look at biblical texts & approved messages from Heaven, those are usually very small bread crumbs & vague road maps, it has to be this way to keep the devil & his servants in the dark.

    Messages like Fr. Michael’s doesn’t give peace of mind to a stressed out Church, but only crushes the spirits of the faithful, so they accept defeat and choose to give up and die now. These messages often say we won’t be saved until 2037-2038, making many ask “Who can be saved? The children will be brainwashed into globalist evil.”

    The only things I can identify is the plots of wicked, as they plot our demise; God save us!!! From those who would enslave & exterminate us! If anyone is to be saved, please shorten these days for the sake of the elect…

      What we need is miracles and plenty of them to revive the church. Just like the first reading this week where the disciples did amazing things of healing.

        If I’m not at times lost in how to effectively deal with my own internal turmoil, then I’m at a loss to help others in their turmoil, as mentioning God, faith, and hope often offers no comfort (and sometimes anger or resentment depending o their beliefs) for those who are in distress.

      I suppose many flock towards they prophetic, because they need closure that evil will be defeated and they can get out of “survival mode” and back into “living mode”. What’s the point of living if life has no period’s of rest & peace? These are what’s on many people’s minds, it’s hard for people to get unstuck in the present of hopeless, and the fears it won’t change for the better, but only continue to worsen…

The thing is, we’ve been told by Our Lady at Fatima, Akita, Betania, Amsterdam and Quito, among other places where she came and left public messages, that things would get very difficult. The only way out of it is through it. God.remains.with.us. Just as the Cloud of Witnesses who have gone before us have traversed trials and tests, we’re in the process right now ourselves. In Christ, we are always truly free. Brings to mind this quote:

          It’s like this: Yes we trust in God & Jesus. We don’t trust the world, will God save us from the wicked? Probably NOT, we’re not worthy, and the rain will fall on the just & unjust alike… Feelings of sorrow, despair, helplessness… Many people find themselves in the miset of Lazarus’ sister “Yes, I believe you will raise him on the last day” in a sad acknowledgement of faith.

          I’m not sure how we get past such baggage like these that makes it difficult to get to the next step…

            At times, this IS the way we are supposed to feel. Do you suppose the apostles were ment to enter, as it were, the tomb with Jesus? Scripture said: Jesus told them, “This very night you will all fall away on account of me, for it is written: “‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.”(Matt 26:31). The “church remnant” fell into a dark night along with its Head for those three days. It is told that the Church will follow the Lord in His life, death and resurrection. Are these times ment to be dark and mysterious, full of worry and pain? Every single life has them and every period in history does too. Seems now the church, once again, is going through the same.
            And as Jesus set His eyes upon the goal during calvary, so to must we have this same hope in the goal.
            “For the Lord Jehovah will help me; I have not been confounded: therefore I have set my face like flint, for I know that I shall not be put to shame.”(Isaiah 50:7).

            This passage has always brought me great peace.
            God’s ways are not necessarily the ways I have imagined they ought to be. I particularly remember sitting on the couch after my husband and I had finished our rosary. He was asleep but I was wide awake making plans about how I would call a travel agency the next morning and we would fly to Lourdes and get a miracle. I didn’t want him to die. Little did I know that he would die in two days. Instead of going to Lourdes the next day, I would be setting up a hospital bed in the living room and planning to drive to pick up my two oldest from college so they could say good-by.
            Only looking back, which I do about this time every year (May 13), does it become so clear to me that God really does love me. He never left me alone, He worked miracles for me–too many to count.
            I write this not out of sadness. It is about thankfulness. If my God can save me, may He save me. But even if He will not, He will always be with me because He loves me so much. I know that I am His favorite and He is mine.

            5. Joyful you have given a tremendous witness about where the rubber meets the road for all Christians.

              If you ever go on a Cursillo weekend the very first talk given by a lay team member is called the IDEAL talk. It is my favorite talk. It is foundational to all the rest of the talks of the weekend. It is a first day talk where God is never mentioned. The talk is designed to get the participant to do something of a deep dive into their own interior state of their soul. A self-examination of what is truly important to them and in essence what is the most meaningful thing in their lives and the importance of determining what that really is … no fooling around. No kidding yourself about what your true IDEAL is.

              The basic question we are urged to consider is: what is it that enlivens your life? What gets you up in the morning? What motivates you? What are you pursuing? What is the driving force in your life? The group is asked to think about it and to discuss their own IDEAL in small group discussion. Yup, we each have an IDEAL and sometimes it is painful to acknowledge the TRUTH about what it really is.

              Most men in small group discussion will say that their IDEAL, what gets them up out of bed and moving in the morning, is their Family. They would do anything for their family. They love their family and would work three jobs if necessary to make their family safe, secure and happy. Yup, they are all in on Family and Family is what gives them joy, fulfillment, purpose and happiness.

              All well and good. A noble IDEAL. A wonderful IDEAL.

              I once encountered a guy whose golf game was his IDEAL. Golf got him up and moving and motivated him throughout his day. Spent most of his time thinking about golf. He played every course in Virginia and North Carolina. Work was a kind of necessary drudgery in his life to allow him to pursue his golf passion after work and on the weekends.

              Maybe not so noble an IDEAL. But the fact that he truly understood what his real IDEAL was is halfway to the point of the whole exercise. Don’t kid yourself about what your TRUE IDEAL is not the one you put a public face on.

              The second aspect of the talk is for the participants to realize that whatever your personal IDEAL is in life …. noble, good, bad, or simply mundane … it can be torn away from you on a moment’s notice. In a flash. Perhaps in a fiery car crash that takes your whole Family is a second. It happens. Or maybe over time as your kids grow up and move away and your husband dies. Or divorces you.

              Or, maybe you come down with severe arthritis and your doctor tells you that you can’t play golf anymore. IDEAL gone.

              The second half of the IDEAL talk exercise is to get the participants to think about what happens when, not if, you lose your IDEAL in life. Where are you when it is gone?

              Losing one’s IDEAL blows a hole in your life. A big hole. You face a crisis. One that has the potential to destroy you. Losing your IDEAL can lead to depression, despair and hopelessness.

              IDEAL changes over the course of our lives. We do not have the same IDEAL as the one we had in High School. We change. Our IDEAL changes and evolves over our lifetime. But one thing we all have in common is that whatever our IDEAL in this life is it is a temporary thing that we ALL will lose one way or another over time.

              So is there anything solid under your feet? Anything that is permanent.? Anything that won’t change or evaporate?either in a fiery crash or over a lifetime?

              That thing is the love of God. God is permanent. God’s love is permanent. You can’t lose that. God’s love sustains. Nothing can separate us from the love of God.               JoyfulHope. Joy filled hope. You have nailed this lesson. You’ve got it! Are you a Cursillista by any chance? If not, you might want to consider making a Cursillo weekend. A good number of widows and widowers make their way to the Cursillo weekend and their sharing and witness is a way of moving through their own grieving process and their presence is always an inspiration and encouragement for others going through the same thing.

              This morning I was thinking about what we call The American Dream. What is the American Dream? It is America’s IDEAL. Its a little different for each of us but similar in many ways. Think about your own American Dream. Thing is America is right now experiencing the loss of it’s American Dream.

              A big hole is being blown into the life of America, Almost virtually in a fiery virological crash on the highway. Waylaid and ambushed by a little invisible bug. Bang. Gone. IDEAL gone. Job gone. House gone. Life style gone. Maybe family gone. Going, going, gone. Result? Growing depression, despair and hopelessness. Loss of that IDEAL has the potential to destroy us. Trump knows it.

              They say suffering is a blessing. It turns us toward God and God’s love. The one sustaining permanent thing we as individuals and we as a country can depend on in the Storm.

              In God We Trust. Oh my Jesus, I place all my trust in you.

          3. Al, we buried our beloved 18yo son to suicide in 2017. None of us had ANY idea. Can you imagine??? To find a child dead on the roadside when he did not come home from work one night and not know??? Faith? Understanding? It shatters everything one thinks one knows most efficiently.

            I understand the feelings you’ve expressed better than I wish.

            I am here today with joy and Hope in my heart, for my son, my family and us all because of Our Awesome Triune God. +Jesus+, Second Person of The Trinity walks with me. As does His Mom, Virgin Most Powerful and ALL my Holy Soul and Saint and Angel Friends. They love my son, my family, me and us all. AND they all are helping us in ways we cannot even begin to understand. Praise God I can say that! +Thank you, Jesus+

            I struggle alot. So from past struggles with major depression I’ve learned to focus on others rather than on my feelings. Use the Golden Rule.

            To take action. What am I good at? Writing notes, praying, making things.

            Holy spirit inspired me! And…

            So, I made some cake pops and dropped them off on people’s doorsteps. (Best if anonymous!)

            So people know someone cares and it made me feel better too.

            Sometimes actions speak louder than words. But words surely do give comfort.

            What next? I don’t know. I don’t feel I’m doing enough and it’s hard to stay positive.

            But God does give us moments of joy when we need it. Like yesterday, I was in a long line at the bank to pay a tax bill. I turned off my car since I had some time to wait in line and then it wouldn’t start! A woman was overjoyed to help me start my car, the bank manager was happy to help us locate the battery ( hidden by a black cover) and the folks behind me were gracious in waiting for us to get my car started. And it all happened in the rain. And what a beautiful moment. A bunch of strangers working together in the rain with charity and compassion. Thank you God!!

  16. Good discernment, Beckita; and I applaud your clarification as to the purpose of ASOH. My “reservation” about the issue in general is this: Fr. Michel’s bishop writes that: “…he does not support the idea of “the Warning, the chastisements, the third World War, the Era of Peace, any construction of refuges, et cetera.” Leaving aside WW3, the physical construction of refuges, and whatever “etc” may be, do you think that the bishop contests: the Warning and/or chastisements, and the Era of Peace? Truth be told, I pray for God’s Will to be done, and “whatever it takes” to have souls turn to Jesus before it’s too late.

    1. I don’t know, Fred. As Tom noted, Fr. Michel was on a speaking circuit with his videos uploaded to social media and it seems like his Bishop would have been aware of this. I initially wondered if a lot of frightened people, knowing it is the local Bishop who makes official declarations on private revelation, contacted him for his current discernment. I’m with you 100% on praying for God’s Will to be done and we are in solidarity with everyone in this community in this prayer.

      April 30th holds special meaning for me: it was the date I was sworn in to the nYpd. Twenty nine years ago (retired nine). Over the years, I have witnessed swearing in ceremonies. I always tear up. It hits home looking at all those young, fresh new faces taking an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States (&NYS) against powers foreign and domestic.

I recall meeting him on the job. A flipped over car on the upper east side. I, a newly promoted Sergeant, was complaining to the Fd Lieutenant… quit the nonsence and get the car flipped and off the road. He remarked we’re training the rookies…

        I hear my ‘HS/college’ nickname (not my Frat name, thank God (which is worse) beckon me, I turn and see Dennis working on the vehicle. After a bit of Brotherly love, I look to the Fd Lt and say you have a few more minutes.

        I think that was the last time I saw Dennis. 1998 or 99.

  18. I like Fr. Michel and think God has a purpose for him to reach out and save souls. Such a heavy burden. For those that love God, I think they will stay in the now, and try to do daily what we are called to do. Trusting God and praying for others and be good. If anything in watching Fr. Michel, I laughed when he laughed (so jolly) but understood his urge to pray, learn the catechism, read the bible, participate in the sacraments and can only hope it will reach someone who thinks God, Angels, Heaven & Hell are fairy tales. Not needed on this site. I was thinking this site is to encourage believers as you said being a sign of hope 🙂

  19. I do not follow that site, but I do know that the bishop simply said he does not believe in those ideas. If he doesn’t believe in those ideas, since they are private Revelation, he is free not to, but those ideas are contained in many many many private Revelations, so this was not a morning about Father Michael himself but about certain ideas that the bishop did not want his approval connected with. We should make distinctions.

    1. I searched the Diocesan website, thinking a written statement for the public might well be posted, Anna. There was none. What I posted above, from the website that I mentioned, clearly states the Bishop’s directive. The Bishop has every right and, actually, responsibility to change this initial public statement should he discern the need to declare authenticity. To this point, he has not done so.

    1. Linda, I’m not saying yes or no, but there could very well be an anti christ before the triumph. There have always been anti Christs throughout the ages. If so, it would not be the Antichrist with a capital “A”. He will come at the end of time. Again, doing our little part in front of us is what counts.

Charlie has painstakingly reiterated in his writings for us that this is not the end of time, although it may well feel like it is with all the upheaval, the chaos and confusion, and the division. Too, Desmond’s writings have explicated for us why this cannot be the time of THE Antichrist, as you say.

        This topic draws me back to John’s first epistle:
        “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God; for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. And this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming; and now it is already in the world. Little children, you are from God, and have conquered them; for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore what they say is from the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us, and whoever is not from God does not listen to us. From this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.” (1 John 4:1-6)

        So, already in the time right after Jesus died, John proclaimed that the “spirit of antichrist” was in the world. Certainly figures of the recent past such as Hitler, Stalin and Mao are examples of totalitarian leaders who personified the spirit of antichrist and, with their cohorts, brought great evil into the world. I have sometimes pondered for our times: Is there a standout person leading or is leadership comprised of multiple bad guys? Well, we’ll find out soon enough as events continue to develop. So it’s carrying on with your closing point, Doug 🙂

        4. To me little antichrist is just another way of saying a very bad charismatic/influential person or is there something more? Is the title really needed at all? Or just a symbolic grouping the sheer magnitude of evil things these people have done?

              7th age – Does not concern us, but after a significant period of time, the 1000 years mentioned in Revelations 20 could be symbolic.

              When you consider Pope Leo XIII, warned us of a 100 years reign of evil, would it not be strange that some details of a evil 100 year period of history would not be mentioned in the book of Revelations? The kingdom of the beast is tied to the globalist funny money system, and that system is falling apart as the kingdom of Christ is approaching. We shouldn’t fear the crumbling of the globalist controlled currencies & trade, globalist funny money is what kept the human race as salves & prisoners to sin & evil.

Michel – as one who has received the Illumination. Her book sounds great; her explanation of the “event” sounds solid; her advice for us to be prepared to teach the CCC (Catechism of the Catholic Church) to those who will FLOCK to the churches appears to me essential. What a sign of hope!

    1. I’ve actually read the book Christine Watkins wrote and I have read other accounts of people experiencing an Illumination of Conscience. Too, additional message bearers have spoken of it before. It really isn’t new news, Fred. Back at TNRS this topic came up often. When we were discussing Charlie’s teachings on the intricacies of interpreting mystical, prophetic language, he would often point to Scriptural accounts where Biblical characters didn’t understand the full meaning of prophecies and where some prophesies were mitigated because of the response of God’s people. The Apostles are the classic example. Walking and being taught by Jesus, Himself, still the Apostles thought He was going to establish an earthly kingdom and they fled in fear at Christ’s Passion and Death. As a person who actually made a pilgrimage to Garabandal, I expect a discrete event where every person will see himself/herself in the Light of God. Yet truly, every time in the last few years when the cover has been pulled back from some hideous evil, we have been illumined in conscience; we have revealed our hearts to God by the ways we have responded to the revealing of Truth.

      So the point of placing the ban is not about whether or not one believes a discrete event called the Warning or Illumination of Conscience is coming. It’s about obedience to legitimate authority and it’s about focusing – especially here – on how we hearten one another to continue acknowledging God, taking next right steps and allowing God to make of us a sign of hope.

        Also, just curious if you put much stock in MB’s headliner blog today on SD. where he quotes prophecies from someone who has requested anonymity for 30 years?! I think if even an illiterate, peasant girl,St. Bernadette was willing to put herself in the public eye….

        1. What I especially enjoyed in the book were the accounts of individuals who had experienced the Warning and how they set a new course for their lives after experiencing it. I enjoy conversion stories.

          As for the anonymous prophecies, I never pay attention to them. You make a good point with St. Bernadette, Maggie.

I just don’t ever get tired of testimonies 🙂 I can always imagine all of heaven cheering ! Reminding me of how we try to bring the light but God does the work 🙂 Praise God!

It’s probably to a very small degree then the true fortold warning but my sins and mistakes and consequences seem to be forever in my mind, heart and soul!!!   26. Someone sent me a video of a talk by this priest. I just came away with the thought that he is saying what we are already aware of. Things are shaky — the world is in a mess– we need to pray and fast. Really, it is so much better not to know the future. We’d crumble. We get the grace we need when we need it.

      2. We consecrated all our lives, each child, everything, the entire farm, to Our Lady and do our best to pray rosary, renew this, etc., daily. Warts and all, we are all Hers. And now St. Joseph.

        Interesting to me is that on Sat we will be joining a joyful, obeying social distancing etc, picnic in the park at our st.capital, advocating for liberty. It cheers me greatly that this is our nation’s reconsecration day. Also, this is the day our oldest is presenting her thesis for graduation. 🙂

  29. I don’t know of whom you speak in this article, as I try to avoid prophecy. I do so precisely because I know I can get drawn in. Going down those rabbit holes has never served me well.

    When I first found TNRS, what had me stay was the clarity with which prophecy was framed, much like what you wrote above, and the very hands-on advice.

    The practicality of tnrs and asoh has saved me many times. I am very grateful.

    1. I’d like to clarify my request. This is my understanding from what I’ve read and what Charlie’s said:

      According to some researchers (Israel, Stanford) and Sweden and DHS research on heat/humidity, and downward hospitalization trends, it would seem that the virus is going to fizzle. It seems weaponized fear is being handily used as a tool for control now. Second wave can possibly be worse as in 1917, but may not be.

      It seems there is a window of opportunity now when the virus fizzles and the numbers dive, to punch through the lies. But the narrative has to be taken over. There is an air of urgency—-I could be wrong, sometimes patience is most needed.

      Right now all the media loudspeakers are set on stun, and despite all this talk about moving forward, it seems there is a real dedicated effort to keep rolling out restrictions. Is there an effective way to take over the dialect here like the example of adult stem cells/fetal stem cells argument? Can the thunder be stolen before the next flu season arrives? Or is patience the better way?

Littlelight, Despite Fauci and the CDC “warning” that the worst may yet come if we do not religiously accept all of their dictates, and despite the Dem governors and mayors trying to kill our economy and freedoms, aided by a corrupted media, Republican governors are now starting to open up they states. When the world does not suddenly come to an end in these opening states, the fear mongering will be seen for what it was.

  31. I have a common sense question for anyone who can answer it…how do you inspire hope in an individual who is very confused and even angry at what is going on during the fear of this virus??? Ya can’t tell them…well this is the dress rehearsal and it’s gonna get far worse before the era of peace IF in fact you (or I) MAKE it to the era of peace for to be sure many of us will probably be called home… so I’m just sort of not sure what to SAY these days to be a sign of hope! Lol. What are y’all doing or saying these scary days???       Me personally, I have decided that I must with great joy and no fear embrace all the freedom I am legally still allowed. There is still quite a bit. For me this involves begging God for the grace to not despair and to hand Him all my considerable anxiety and fear.

      I am trying to find local leaders who are making a difference and then doing my utmost to support those leaders.

      We have written our elected officials, to let them know we are concerned about civil liberties being shredded, and encouraged others to do so. When the question comes; “why bother?” the answer is because it lets them know their constituents are engaged, watching and care.

      Anyone I notice that is heroically fighting for freedom, I am emailing my personal thanks.

      I spent a wonderful, spirit-filled and joy-filled Easter week with him at a retreat in Quebec a few years ago. He’s a very gifted and holy priest. It’s actually a bit “weird” to listen to his talks in English. He translates pretty much directly and sometimes I have to think in French so I can understand the words he’s actually using in English. In either language, his faith and humour come through. God’s grace is so abundant these days, and for that I am thankful. Every morning, when I get up, and start my day praising God, I hear the words, “Look Beyond”….and so I do. Whatever I read or hear, all I want is to draw closer to God. He really is “all I need and want” (and so the purification continues!!!)

      1. I do like Fr. Michel’s silly humor, AgentJ9. It’s infectious. But then I taught first graders for my entire career in education and I think it’s the childlike nature of Fr. M coming through.   35. Since this topic has been brought up, I have some problems with Fr. Michel Rodrigue’s predictions as well;
    1) “The Antichrist” is a end of the world figure, so why would he be showing his face in the flesh now? Certainly there’s an antichrist spirit & evil people about.
    2) Refuges? Building some is pointless, it wont keep out the evil for long. It seems like a toned down variation on Rapture ideology.
    3) World war 3? Didn’t Our Lady say WW3 is cancelled? While I may have doubts about every message coming out of Medugorje, I put more faith Biblical predictions & Our Lady’s messages at approved sites more than most other stuff out there.
    4) I don’t like how the predictions play on people’s fears, there’s something not right about it.

    I’m open to the possibility of a Warning, a Awakening, and a age of peace (or period of peace) as described at Garabandal & Medugorje.

    There’s good reasons to doubt the authenticity of his messages & claims.

      Regarding the AntiChrist: there does seem to be some confusion. The beast (the AntiChrist) arises in Rev 13 but it seems that he is overthrown in Rev 20. There then ensues a “thousand years” of peace. At this point Satan again arises and there is the final battle. So the AntiChrist is not exactly an end of the world figure since there seems significant time between his arrival and the end.
      I agree that there is a “rapture” feel to much of what is being said – i.e. WE will be protected in our ‘refuges’ while all those bad people out there suffer.
      I get a little confused when people talk about certain chastisements (e.g. WW3) being avoided. If the purpose / intent of the chastisements is to purify the Church and the World and to bring about the conversion of souls then my view is: LET’S GO! The abatement of chastisements seems a little like the questions my students used to ask me: “How close can we get to sin without sinning seriously?” (How much sin can we get away with before God steps in?) I pray, admittedly with some trepidation for I know I am part of the problem, that God would purify His Bride, the Church, and with her the whole world – whatever it takes.
      One of the problems I have with Fr. Michel is that he never seems to acknowledge (at least in the pieces that I have read or to which I have listened) the symbolic nature of prophetic revelation. He lays out the vision without any subtlety of interpretation. It seems the equivalent of reading the Book of Revelation in a physical literal sense as if a multi-headed monster is really going to arise from the sea as in some Japanese monster movie. One of the things I first appreciated about Charlie back in the TNRS days was his appreciation that the things he ‘foresaw’ could happen in ways that might not be glaringly obvious or self-evidently miraculous.

I do think it’s important to review Desmond Birch’s piece, The Middle Coming, to gain clarity on THE Antichrist as a discrete figure who comes on the scene at the end of time. It then becomes equally clear that we’ve been enduring prominent figures – with expansive influence – who embody the spirit of antichrist (as described in John’s first epistle) since the beginning of the Church.

          2. PS: Reading the signs of the times can be a delicate business. While it is unarguable that JPII and BXVI said as Desmond quoted. It is also true that St. Pius X stated that it was possible that the “Son of Perdition” (THE Antichrist) was already physically in the world at the time of his pontificate. Which would indicate that PX thought all the conditions that Desmond lays out as necessary had been fulfilled by his time.

I noticed a lot of non-Catholic critics of Revelations like lump a significant portion of Revelations and other Bible ending prophecies into a period of 7 years, it’s no wonder why “the Antichrist” is seen as a now figure, because many of these people believe the world is going to end soon witb Armageddon.

          Anyone saying “the end is near” and Armageddon is about to happen, should set off a “red flag”…

The difficulty is the Bible is only one piece of the picture.  The church and tradition paints a much clearer picture when it is considered.  This cannot be ignored when the authority of the church is fully understood.  The non Catholics don’t have this and, sad to say, many Catholics themselves, now a days, don’t know the churches teaching with regards to eschatology.  Desmond Birches book, “Trials, Tribulation and Triumph” is a wonderful exegesis on the subject and gives a much clearer picture on the subject.  It is roughly 700 pages and worth the read.  I would like him to write the condensed version for us average Joe lay persons.—- Sent from Doug’s Back Pack

      2. Just thinking about sinning is a sin, although it’s not the same magnitude of following through and committing the deed.

        There’s definitely a “beast” presence in the world right now and he’s probably one the devil’s generals, I was under the impression “the Antichrist” is the devil in human form who will start Armageddon.

        Those things aside, tribulations & chastisements are fires that purifies the soul, otherwise the soul has to be purified in purgatory which is more painful according to the testimonies of those witnessed it.

        From a certain point of view, God’s prophecies are meant as a guide, so we can make ethical decisions in the present, desiring specific knowledge of future events is a form of laziness & vanity, that people may plot & dream of wasting their time in the present instead of doing the good that should be doing right now in the present.

        1. Prophecies sometimes are revealed in “layers” of events and timelines. This is why they are so often missunderstood. Also, the prophet is not usually the one who is gifted with “interpretation”, that being the formal responsibility of the Church. Many visionaries know this so they just tell it as it is without worrying about how it looks.
          Charlie himself has experienced the fact that his discernment of his OWN prophecies errs sometimes! His mission is a unique one for sure, as he has been mandated to give hope along with descerning the “signs of the times” and admits his understanding of this is often fraught with uncertainties.
          So many great saints went through a period of church disapproval so we should just relax a bit about this bishops take on a rather complicated visionary who, like Padre Pio, had some amazing charisms too. Part of the discerning process is how these things pan out and how it effects the faithful. Basically, the followers of these prophecies become the spiritual guinea pigs of discernment to its reality or, like with Jonah, it’s not comming about.

  40. Thanks for the timely prophecy reminders (approved, pending or otherwise). I have been more tempted as things get crazier. In contemplating how much to expand the garden or poultry, I caught myself being tempted to piece together predictions I had read to inform my temporal survival decisions. The “rapids” analogy re-run was timely for me. I love that Charlie/Beckita keep this site disciplined and focused. That’s why I spend my limited internet time here. Still I think it’s important to allow and even bless other C ministries of good will who reasonably disagree (on non fundamental issues). We’re all pulling in the same direction in our own stumbling ways. If we are going to be equal partners with Protestants and Jews, we have to master unity with orthodox C’s using a different approach first. The tone here as always has been charitable and measured. I wanted to mention it to keep us humble and on guard against a subtle we’ve got it right and they’ve got it wrong mentality. Both approaches (in obedience to the Magisterium) bear fruit in their own time and way. I see this take root in other Christian groups and battle it myself at times so just sounding a tiny and probably unnecessary caution.

    1. Oh Irish! I’ve done the piecing together of prophecies and coming up with a timeline on more than one occasion in the past. I had been to many places where Our Lady appeared and I was so grateful to honor her and her tireless efforts to awaken her children and build an army of praying folk. I felt that constructing a timeline sprang from an earnest desire to be ready. Then, I arrived at TNRS and began to look at this kind of preparation from different dimensions, thanks to Charlie’s writing which guided us all to reflect on how in the world knowing what would happen could ever help us know “what to do” when all was unfolding. Oh, and all the pieces Charlie wrote about the incredible process of discerning prophecy provided knowledge, insight and rich contemplation material.

      Absolutely agree that we bless and hold in good will people from other ministries and apostolates, Irish. Sometimes, we’re simply going to disagree, especially in the prophetic arena where interpretation and discernment can widely vary due to layers of meaning and due to the very nature of prophecy being a look “through a glass darkly.”

      I see great good coming from our discussion here. It has brought us to refocus on why Charlie initiated TNRS-ASOH as we have embraced anew the core message and strive to live it.

      1. Yes absolutely. I’m so grateful for the years of mental training from Charlie. Even WITH his meticulous preparation I find myself reflexively trying to outsmart, outmaneuver and out knowledge (via prophecy) the Storm. Since burning self reliance out of us is the whole point of chastisement, that is a pretty bad plan. So very thankful for these past years of Storm formation. I can see God’s wisdom in giving us years of this site to form habits of mind so that they are rooted deeply enough to stick in chaos. Only months into the opening act and already his principles have allowed me to quickly identify these internal snares and course correct.

  43. The most obvious thing I notice as I walk around and talk to folks in my neighborhood is fear. Way back last century when I spent some months behind the Iron Curtain being a useful Catholic, I was told in no uncertain terms In confession that to fear was a very serious sin because that meant I was minding God’s business. I was to do my duty without thinking of the consequences because all consequences were God’s affair. I did take the normal precautions of losing the guy following me and debugging my room, but then it was trust.
    Yes, I see what is happening….folks who have technology are separated from physical presence but still able to see a televised face. Unable to even make music together because of the techno time warp. Next stage was not being allowed to be near anyone unless in your circle, and now…..veiled faces. With those dumb masks on we no longer read each others’ faces. And if you are ill or old you are totally isolated and the only folks you see are dressed like astronauts. Several writers describe hell as being absolutely isolated and alone. Government is teaching hell step by step.

      Katicos, before the infamous Obamacare legislation went through on a federal level, my state adopted it’s own, more draconian version of this same law.

      I did a tremendous amt of research, at the time. The groundwork for this law in my state was started about 10 years prior to it being initiated–this was seen by following the funding trail. So the relevance of this legislation to what’s happening today is the legislation set up the legal means for my state to appoint a bureaucratic panel—removed from voter access—-to re-open our state.

      There was an editorial in a local paper complaining about the reopen panel. The complaint was that the panel was removed from voter oversight (Duh!–I thought) But that’s where any hope that this editorial was an authentic call for renewal ended. The writer went on to say they wanted special interest groups to have a say in the specifics of reopening. They wanted a voice because they wanted *more draconian restrictions–i.e. more “safety” regulations for the teacher’s lobby etc.

      Clearly, the majority of voters here have gotten exactly what they wanted. I don’t think many of them fully understand what they have purchased.

      The argument can be made that the push for this kind of communist control has been ongoing for decades. It took 10 years to get the funding for the socializing of our state health care system, then another ten before they could fully unleash it’s capacity for regulatory control.

  46. Just recently watched the new movie from 2019 about Faustina and the Divine Mercy called Love and Mercy. Had forgotten that the Vatican had silenced Fr. Sopocko years ago (now Blessed Fr. Sopocko). He was obedient to both the Vatican and to Jesus. He was ridiculed by others and died thinking that his work had brought little fruit. But today there is so much fruit and even a Feast of Divine Mercy that is celebrated worldwide. In time we will find out more about the CTTK messages. There have also been Church-approved messages such as Akita that are very strong, comforting even though they involve great suffering, but their truth brings comfort, even though they are very thought- provoking. I like both sites (ASOH and CTTK). They help to have hope that God has so much tenderness and is working to encourage in spite of my many flaws, fears, sins and mishaps. It is easy to be scared in these times: most of all scared that in trying to do His will that I (maybe others feel that way too?) have no idea what is is so much of the time. And then there is much stumbling, sorrow over that and almost a paralyzed feeling that can be a bit heart-wrenching. Perhaps this is Jesus’ boot camp in prep for a great spiritual battle of sorts. It is encouraging that Jesus told St. Faustina that prayer and suffering save more souls than a missionary does in a foreign country. Praying for comfort, strength, courage, wisdom and guidance for all in these times.

  47. There is much truth coming from all sides. The challenge is in proper interpretation and finding the balance that makes sense of it all. God always maintains a sense of mystery lest we in our vanity think we have figured it all out and know the Mind of God. May the Holy Spirit continue to bless and guide all here.
