The establishment media has carefully avoided giving any coverage to the preliminary hearing in the criminal case the California Atty. Gen.’s office brought against David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt in their undercover journalism project to reveal Planned Parenthood (PP) and other abortion outlets sale of the organs of aborted babies for profit. The sale of such parts for profit is illegal throughout the country.

Obviously, if the news were good for Planned Parenthood and its allies – and bad for Daleiden, it would be front-page news all across the country. That the establishment media is effectively blacking it out tells you who is taking the hits. Even so, the revelations are so horrific that some are bleeding out despite the media’s best efforts to keep it mum.

We have learned, over the course of this hearing, that many outlets were, indeed, using the organs of aborted babies as a profit center. We have learned that former Obama Atty. Gen. Loretta Lynch pushed the California AG’s office to target and prosecute Daleiden. We have learned that abortionists endangered women’s lives by doing more dangerous means of aborting their babies in order to get preferred types of intact tissue. We have learned how extensively the California AG’s office worked with PP to support laws which they could use to “get” Daleiden and Merritt. We have learned how closely PP and the AG’s office jointly coordinated the planning of this prosecution.

Most horribly, we have learned that the beating hearts supplied to research centers were harvested from living, born babies. The reality is so horrific that Dr. Forrest Smith, a California abortionist whose career spans many decades, took the stand to testify to that reality. Dr. Smith initially intended to expose Daleiden as a fraud – but when he realized what PP and its allies are doing, he was horrified. He is a witness friendly to Daleiden now, convinced that these barbaric practices must be stopped. Some of the babies, fully born and living, are killed by the dissection process itself. How depraved does a person have to be to see a living, distressed baby and, instead of cuddling it, instead cut it open with a scalpel and tear its heart out? This is truly an evil worthy of Nazi doctor Josef Mengele. When I wrote, a few months back, that I had learned something so shocking that I couldn’t sleep for several nights, this is what I was talking about. Most of the people who kill these babies through dissection are women. How dead must you make your conscience, your humanity, to do this and consider it all just part of a day’s work?

LifeSite News has given the best, most comprehensive coverage of the preliminary hearing. Breitbart has done yeoman work as well – and the revelations have been shocking enough that Fox News, National Review, and the Federalist have weighed in, along with sporadic coverage from other outlets. Keep in mind that this was just a probable cause hearing – which will determine whether the criminal case can go to trial at all. It was peculiar that the California AG chose to go the route of a preliminary hearing rather than use a grand jury to indict and go directly to trial. With a grand jury indictment, which a competent prosecutor can get for almost anything, the dirty laundry would not have been exposed so soon. I suspect three things were going on:

  • The AG and PP wanted to get an idea just how much Daleiden and his team already knew before going to an actual trial.
  • The AG was hoping to tank the case and get it thrown out before having to go to an actual trial, where it will be harder to hide the ugly truth of all this (though heaven knows, the media has gotten very adept at hiding facts that damage the left.)
  • There is an intense game of chicken going on here. At some point, the AG figured it has a disaster of a case. PP puts a LOT of money into politics – yet is completely unaware of how damaging all of this stuff is. It has gotten its way by bullying opponents for many decades now and is certain that tactic will still work. None of the rational leftist officials wants to become the subject of PP’s ire – for though it can’t help anybody much anymore, it can still hurt old allies a lot. So the AG wants to make the judge, Christopher Hite, the scapegoat for this case tanking. Judge Hite, who I think is a left-leaning but genuinely honorable judge, sees this game and lets it play out to illustrate, as it all implodes, that the AG had no business bringing this case in the first place.

Judge Hite will decide in the next month whether the case can go forward to trial or whether to…um…abort it. I am convinced that the AG’s frontline prosecutors are deeply hoping Hite tosses the case. The judge may well consider that all he really needed to come out to show what a misfire this case was from the start has come out – so I give it a 50/50 shot that he will toss it.

Meantime, the federal civil case that PP has against Daleiden goes to trial in just a couple of weeks. That is an even more disastrous case for PP than this state criminal case is. My perception is that Judge William Orrick, who is a judge completely supportive of PP, has tried to give the abortionists several graceful opportunities to bow out over the last few months. But PP is utterly convinced that its raw muscle makes it invincible, so has not taken the hint. I really look forward to the civil trial, as I think it will be an utter humiliation for PP and the National Abortion Federation (NAF) – and will be brutally hard for the establishment media to ignore.

Though PP and the media think it can hide the death camp level of depravity that infuses abortion centers, they would be well-advised to heed the counsel of America’s 2nd President, John Adams, who famously said while legally defending soldiers from the Boston Massacre – deeply unpopular defendants – that, “Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence.” Adams won his case.

I am glad of the hubris and arrogance of PP. I am convinced that the commencement of this preliminary hearing was the commencement of the fall of Planned Parenthood. We know who they are. It is being revealed through this hearing and more to come. Now, each of us must choose who we are. And all of us will have to give account for what we choose.

Seeing how far humanity has fallen, “O God have Mercy.” I wonder if all of these torrential rains are really the tears, of the Angels and Saints, falling from heaven. Many of us have stated that we are glad that our parents and grand parents are not here to see what has happened to mankind. We are living now, at this time, because of God’s Plan for us. It truly is time to choose. Life vs Death. I choose Life. May God grant us the strength, courage and perseverance to TNRS.

  7. I love how God writes our history. This story is really biblical in the sense that a young man with no particular expertise but just a will to follow his conscience, sought to do what he saw was the next right step. And now twists and turn are happening that no one could have foresaw to bring down this evil. I think it was Charlie that said if God was a pool player, He would bank the ball 20 times before sinking the ball He intended. Can’t wait to see the bank shots coming in the federal civil case!

      Great post to remind us that God can create victory from the middle of what seems to be a defeat.

That the story of David and Goliath in Sacred Scripture is so well known to the the great mass of Christians makes the parallels with David D’s battle seems less like irony and more like a simple, straightforward Word from God to his people. Where God is saying, “remember, oh you people of little faith, and triumph through Me.”

        How long the 40 days of boasting will go on is anyone’s guess, yet it’s up to the remnant Faithful to flood the valley after the inevitable, put the enemy to rout, pursue in to the hills, and put and end to this disgraceful horror once and for all.

      BTW, the so called whistle blower was not one of the “listeners” on the president’s call to the Ukraine. The whistle blower heard about it through a conversation about it. His/her report is pure hearsay. And now that the recorded conversation has been released by the President, we are being revisited by the same faux narrative that the Dems used before aka Russian collusion. This time substitute Ukraine for Russia.

  11. Well, the fact that this seems so surreal, but is an actuality, just goes to show how far mankind has come, and how desensitized we have become. Satan is not only working on the destruction of these humans, he is also working hard to stir a large serious anger and hate in good people. It feels like the enemy has moved in closer to the encircled wagons, and we are feeling their arrows. I realize this young man has moved mountains and taken great risk to bring about a change! We can only pray and pray and pray this will not be in vain, but for the sake of His Sorrowful Passion. May the Lord Bless David and may our Blessed Mother cover him in her mantle.   16. This article reminded me that we should pray for the soul of the young woman who shared her testimony with David about what she had to do to harvest a brain from a baby while the heart was still beating. She passed away recently at age 27. Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord….

    From reading the updates on Lifesitenews, the PP folks seem to think that what they did is no big deal. It’s truly chilling. The combination of hubris and lack of compunction just might be catching up to PP and their supporters.

    St. Matthew, on your feast day, please intercede to bring about repentance and conversion of those involved in the abortion industry.

This is horrid.  It is clear that all of this, almost in and of itself, is a major fulfillment of the end time prophesy in scripture.  “Good will be evil and evil will be good”.  I think we, as Christians are clearly being viewed as evil and the Church priest scandal is feeding right into this.  I can see it ultimately leading to our persecution.  I am not too political, but Trump is a repreave right now as I see it.  Lots of prayer and sacrafice are still needed.  I have much to personally work on in this area.  Lord have mercy on us!Sent from Doug’s mobile

While having the case thrown out by Juddge Hite would certainly be a crushing defeat for PP, it would prevent them from being exposed even further in the court trial, and would afford them the opportunity to try to paint the judge as conservative or “anti-women” and that his decision was politically motivated and biased.

      BTW, I have not seen fewer cars at the giant PP in Houston since the defunding. The only thing I noticed was that the prices went up.

  19. I can’t grasp how in this country one is fined for breaking an eagle but killing a human baby is ok. Talk about messed up. The Humane Society spent around $70,000 to “rescue” that mutt stranded on that ship a few years back. If you remember the big hullabaloo about it but human children are disposable, not worth the “reduce”. Lord have mercy.

  23. This upcoming week we once again head out to stand and pray in front of PP abortion facilities. Everyone, please, do your part. One hour every week in reparation for all of these atrocities.     1. I presume you are pro-abortion – for that is what the pro-aborts drag out when one reveals the routine atrocities performed in this hideous child-sacrifice practice. Do you think that living babies should be killed by dissection and have their hearts cut out as the means of their death?

      But yes, I think elective abortion should be outlawed 100 percent – just as I think the only answer to the gassing of Jews in Nazi Germany was outlawing it 100 percent and that slavery needed to be eradicated 100 percent.

      2. That was an erroneous presumption. I am solidly pro-life and equate abortion with murder. I have been asked this question numerous times by pro-life people and was seeking the view of someone familiar with the abortion industry. Why would an abortion advocate even be on this site?

        In any case, I thought the question was a good one, as it advances the pro-life cause as Planned Parenthood crumbles. Defunding PP or repealing Roe v Wade wouldn’t even come close to outlawing abortion entirely, as it would probably still be widespread in blue states.

Dr. A, Are you sincerely trying to understand?  I would suggest you ask yourself one question.  Is it life at conception or not life?  If you believe it is life, then what do you think the answer should be?  If someone was raped and conception occurred,  is it not life?  What does this mean?  I do know a wonderful priest whose mother conceived him when she was raped.

Hi Patrick, I don’t know.  That may be his/her motivation.  That is why I formulated my answers as questions in hopes that the person may think about it and if he/she is open may come to the right conclusion.  If he/she is a wounded soul, may God come in and touch the core of his/her being and show his love and mercy to this person!

      1. In this day, there are NO “medically-necessary” abortions. There is NO disease or condition of a woman for which abortion is a cure – except being pregnant. It is true, that sometimes a quick c-section and or early delivery is indicated, but those conditions are NOT helped by abortion. Ectopic pregnancies usually indicate removal of the fetus, which is NOT an abortion, because baby was never IN the womb, although a woman HAS carried an ectopic pregnancy to term and baby was born healthy. Preclampsia might indicate an emergency delivery, but often both mother and child can be saved. In fact – to press the point – either of these operations is safely and morally done in Catholic hospitals!

My Lambzie had preclamsia and our twin girls had to be taken by C section a month early.  It was touch and go as premies.  We almost lost Jenn.  Jenn is now 32, married, has 3 kids, living her faith in a most beautiful way and has now been chartered to study NFP as a nurse and will be officially teaching it.  She and her husband are very open to life.  We also continue to celebrate Dominic Xavier who officially came into this world on Sept. 14.  Their priest will become the God father.  Funny, when they were engaged, the Holy Spirit impressed it upon me very clearly that Jenn’s husband would be a deacon and one of their children would be a priest.  I have never told them this and do not plan to tell them.  Jenn’s husband confided in me later that he aspires to be a deacon.  He now works full time for his parish as director of religious education.  I feel like I won the lottery here.  Like Mary who after the finding of Jesus in the temple who treasured all these things in her heart, this us how I feel.  Ok.  One down.  Two more kids to pray into the kingdom.  St.  Bridget is my companion here as I pray daily the 12 year prayer for them.  I am two years into it.  Ten to go.

      A simple leading question, the answer to which is already known and entirely predictable, designed to label “the enemy” … which is us… as “radical right wing abortion EXTREMISTS”. Religious nut jobs.

      I think we have all seen enough trolls to know one when we see one.

      Usually, as a personal practice, I don’t engage with trolls because that is exactly what they want. IMO the key words of its question are: IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES. i.e., Rape and Incest. Why those particular words? To get ASOH posters conflicted and divided and slashing at one another. Leading to the internal collapse of the site. Destruction from within. Warning: we may even witness this anonymous troll attempting to argue with itself in the form of another anonymous fake identity.

      Be assured this “Fake Question” is not aimed at Charlie but at the readers of this site and those who post here.

      Used to be trolls used foul and abusive ranting and raving to disrupt a website. That got to be laughable and counterproductive particularly on well moderated sites like ASOH. Now the very best trolls seeking the destruction of “the enemy” … which in this case is us … use the very rational and cool and calm approach to elicit the desired effect. A simple 12 word leading question dropped into the pond to watch the ripples role out.

      Best thing to do? Just don’t engage it. That will frustrate the hell out of it. Particularly if the troll is a professional working for a client. Hmmmm. Who in the world would want to destroy this website at this particular time over what particular “issue”? Qui bono?

      Congratulations ASOH. You have become a thorn in their side. You are making a difference. Keep it up. ASOH is a refuge. Let’s defend it.

      1. While I respect you and your right to your opinion, Timothy, I don’t agree with it. Not sure how you arrived at this discernment. For me, I think of Pope St. John Paul II’s teaching which conveyed that the death penalty should be avoided unless it was the only way to defend society. Too, I have read many a conversion story of an abortionist and find that each one’s witness becomes a powerful testimony to the lies and other evils which lead to abortion. I think, too, of Jesus describing in a parable how the shepherd leaves the hundred sheep and goes after the lost one to reclaim him. Finally, Christ’s words to St. Faustina are applicable: “The greater the sin, the greater right that sinner has to My Mercy.”

          Chesterton uses the Lion and the Lamb correctly. Fierceness in defence of the innocent is an attribute of God. I meant what I said. A social order that held abortionists guilty of murder is something I do imagine, and I have warned the troll that those are the stakes.

          The lawyers can put their niceties on the process, and yes, time an opportunity for repentence is a good.

          However, malice mocks repentence. Swords are meant for such as this. Our troll now knows it.

          1. timothy, what I see happening in politics today could easily spill over into violence and civil disorder. Many would suffer, innocent and not so innocent. Perhaps this is a part of the “Storm” coming our way. Our financial system is teetering as well. Collapse of that system would pit brother against brother. Literally hell on earth.

            We need to understand that judgement is reserved for God and his righteous justice. We also need to embrace the fact that many people in powerful positions today, should never be permitted to be in power ever again. I would not be surprised to see some of these evil, diabolical and powerful people to be swinging from light poles as the world rages in the midst of the “Storm.”

                Doc made it clear his/her position, so not sure why the ongoing “troll” reference.

                We fight because we’re fallen humanity, even though Jesus gave/gives us ample opportunity to look at ‘giving battle’ from His perspective. After 40 days of prayer and suffering, He gave battle to the foe by only answering with passages from Sacred Scripture. Later, the serious raising of the bar to “love your enemy, pray for those who persecute you.” There are so many examples, and we all fall short, but I see all –– and I say ALL –– of the Gospel example as the measure. How much do we want to follow His example? Or are we going to default to the usual?

                God raises warriors of His making, and I suspect most folks would pass these by on the street without even the slightest clue they are such. Among the most heartening examples are those He raises up from the most unlikely. Many more are hidden away from the prying eyes of the world, only to be revealed in the life to come.

                There is indeed a time, a season, for everything under the sun, but I’d say Jesus made it clear that some of those things (not even close to being among the most effective… and often with a very heavy price to pay) are a last resort of a desperate humanity.

        2. I began reading Forgiveness Makes You Free by Fr. Ubald Rugirangoga, Founder of the Center for the Secret of Peace. From what I have read and seen of him on EWTN, I suspect the same underlying causes of the Rwandan genocide are present to greater or lesser degrees even here in the US.
          It is only now that I am becoming aware of the more complete history of that tragic episode in our salvation history. My interest is not so much of the causes and effects of the genocide, but in the healing that must take place after.
          This book shines a light on the source of hope: forgiveness. I think the Rwandan genocide was a foretelling of the future, both the ugliness of evil and the hope and peace of healing.
          I realize that the weight of our offenses have tipped the scales beyond recovery, and that we will suffer the consequences. So what could alleviate, if possible, these consequences? Perhaps practicing forgiveness now would help. I am NOT implying lack of justice. There has to be both: mercy AND justice. In the book, the perpetrators had to ask for forgiveness from the victims/their families. That is what reconciliation is–justice and mercy. The God-given gift of human dignity is restored to both the victims and those who committed the crimes.
          That is the type of relationship that we have with Jesus when we receive the sacrament of reconciliation. His forgiveness brings peace. As members of His mystical body, we must do the same.

          1. Amen to it all, Joyful. Forgiveness is a permanent Gospel dictum… and it benefits the one who extends forgiveness as much as it does the one who receives it. Forgiveness by an act of the will is the key to getting on a path to complete forgiveness… and forgiveness is, often, a process. My understanding of St. John Paul II’s position on capital punishment is based on the fact that the worst thing a human being can do is send someone to hell by depriving them of a opportunity to repent of their mortal sin by killing them before they have a chance if we have a reasonable ability to afford it. In self defense, we are allowed to use only enough force so as to remove the threat to ourselves and others. I reason that if threatened by an aggressor and all I have is a gun, I am such a poor marksman that I could not reasonably attempt to only disable them. I would have to aim at the biggest part and hope it stops them. My main intent is to stop them not necessarily to kill them as deliberately killing someone is not allowed if other means can prevail. Since our present incarceration systems are sufficient to protect society from further harm from captured aggressors, it is no longer necessary to execute them and the Christian thing is to give them time to repent and turn or return to God. Love your neighbor as yourself.

    1. Dolordee, doctors should not cut off a person’s leg…but if the leg has become gangrenous, they should. Where the complication from a pregnancy is genuinely life-threatening (not health-threatening, where the idiots on the left has defined it possibly giving her the sadz as being a threat to her health), then a doctor and the patient have to make a decision. That is not so much an abortion as it is a form of triage – and a tragedy. Before we got into the sophistry that has defined the abortion-on-demand era, doctors did those sorts of legitimate surgeries and no one looked askance, even though all recognized the tragedy inherent to it. Let me put it this way, if the justification is just another in the cutesy ways the left has used to try to excuse their atrocities, no I will not buy it. But if it is the rare cases where there is a life-threatening challenge inherent – one that would have been recognized as such in the 1950’s, I understand the triage and tragedy involved. This used to be decided on a reasonable man standard – but the left has torpedoed the very idea of a reasonable man in law. So, bluntly, I acknowledge the tragedy involved in those one in a thousand cases that are genuinely life-threatening, but I will NOT let those be used to justify abortion at any time, for any reason. I suspect you are asking a legitimate question – but for all those who want to engage in sophomoric sophistry to try to get me to agree to elective abortions (abortions that are NEVER medically necessary to save anyone’s life) try it on somewhere else.

      1. I agree Charlie. When we abandon Natural Law and the Laws of God, we abandon God. And when that point comes, and It might have, then humankind has plunged itself into the darkness our Lord expresses often in His Gospels, and through the Scriptures themselves. Not to mention the word of our Lord upon his Sacrifice “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.” Have you ever wondered what that meant, – to what was He referring to? Think on this before you say you know.
        Christ and His mother are looking down, and realizing this abomination is going to lead into something so horrid, so unnatural that I think, He is desperately trying to warn us, all of us. So much so, he has sent His mother, angels, and some saints to awaken us. Monday is the Feast of St. Padre Pio, and he has the favorable position to release the angels in Heaven, who are to assist in extra important issues in people’s lives. We should ask for God’s angels, that they will come and guide us so we do not fall.
        I would like to be upright when it’s time to put on our Armor of God. Ave Maria!

      2. I tragically lost two babies ectopically. The 1st one just burst the fallopian tube and I was rushed to emergency surgery to remove both baby and the tube. The 2nd one, I recalled the pain and “signs” of the 1st one and went to the doctor. I pleaded with the doctor to move the baby to my uterus….there must be a way to save him/her? No, there was not. Again, both baby and my last fallopian tube were removed. I was so crushed, for so long thereafter. It still hurts some 30 years later. The doctor told me I could have IVF, but I knew in my heart that that was not God’s will for me. Thank you Jesus. Because of my loss, I’ve been on the front line for Life ever since. God always brings good out out of every situation that we suffer.

  26. In such a case, DolorDee, the ectopic pregnancy must be terminated because it will not be viable outside the uterus and its continued growth risks harming the mother.

    According to Priests for Life, the Catholic Church permits only certain ways that this procedure can be performed. I can get the details for you if you’d like. I know that a certain technique to end an ectopic pregnancy is permitted while others are forbidden. I find this interesting because the end result is the same: the termination of a life; but it must be done in a correct, ethical way.

    I can’t imagine what a difficult situation this must be for an expecting mother.

    1. Thank you so much for responding to this question. This happened to one of my daughters, and it has been hard to discuss this with her. It was devastating. She had her second child soon after that, then she was told that the fetus for her fourth pregnancy had unoperable holes in his heart, diaphragm and some other abnormalities, and was told to terminate the pregnancy, but of course she carried it full term, had it by cesarean section, he was baptized immediately, and died in his fathers arms a half an hour after birth, being held next to his mothers face. Of course there are no words to describe the hole in their heart loosing this child. For months after his birth the older sister would see white balls of light up in the corner of her room, and they would find white feathers laying around for months. Yes Charlie, this was a legitimate question, and thank you and Patrick again. I needed to hear this. God bless you. She still hasn’t gotten over these situations,and I imagine she never will. The pain is still there.

This is the sort of thing that tears at my heart: women like your daughter try so hard to have healthy children – and it is a deep sorrow when they have such profound troubles. Then women who are genuinely blessed with healthy pregnancies so casually throw them away. Then the malicious harpies use the tragic circumstances of hurting women like your daughter to justify their savagery on the healthy. What a strange and cruel world this has become. I will pray for the consolation of your daughter tomorrow, D, and thank you for being there to console her and give her hope.

Oh Dolordee, this is sad, yet most beautiful at the same time.  I can imagine the white balls and feathers are a thank you for the gift that child received as the parents did all they could.  I imagine the pain is a natural healthy grieving process after losing a loved one.  It chokes me up.  My Jenn has gone through 5 miscarriages and it hurts every time.  She and her husband practice NFP too and desire many children.  They are all precious.

        1. All babies, born and pre-born are precious. If it comforts any of you, know that miscarriages (ie spontaneous abortions), and the taking of an ectopic pregnancy, are NOT abortions. Abortion is “emptying the uterus.” In a miscarriage, the baby leaves, nobody empties the uterus (even if a D&C was required afterwards.) In the ectopic pregnancy, the baby was never in the uterus at all. Hope this comforts someone, I know it did my friend.

    2. My aunt had two tubal pregnancies in the 50’s, both boys. When she would talk about it it was with sadness and deep awareness of a human life was lost. The opposite of today’s flippant attitude of just a blob of tissue. I hope I am making sense. It is difficult to put it into words.
      I had no idea that there are different methods of performing these operations.

      1. I was blown away when my sister in law described her newborn to me as just a “blob.” Her exact word. Strange way to view the beautiful life she helped create. And he was a very beautiful boy.

        I pointed out to her that all humans are born prematurely, even at term, because the baby’s head would be too big to clear the pelvis if allowed to develop, say, for a year. Whereas some calves stand up immediately after birth at the county fair, humans are born far more underdeveloped and vulnerable because God gifted us with a remarkable brain in our large heads.

And the discussions brought forth also served to show the pain that any procedure that takes a life can bring about life long mental pain which may be read by many other readers needing to hear this. So sorry San San to hear of your pain also.
        Doug, I am one year into my St. Bridget 12 yr prayer, thanks to you and Sean. And I was saying it for the grandson who was killed by the drunk driver when he died which brings me consolation. And thank you Patrick for your quick, and kind reply. I don’t know if you remember, but I’m the same Dee that offered you a room when you were living in your tent, but I had to change my name when we went to TNRS.
        Maybe I can now bring up the subject with my daughter as these blogs have offered much solace.

    This is a sacrifice to Moloch ~ the Canaanite god associated with child sacrifice. There is no justifiable medical reason at all for the kinds of abortions that kept you awake at night. (In my view, early abortions are just as bad, but they’re not as visible and not as profitable for the industry.)

    When this information gets out to the general public ~ and it will, just a matter of time ~ many people who assume that only early abortions are done will have a day of reckoning.

  28. I grew up during the slippery slope of “birth control” acceptance which has led to abortion on demand.
    My father-in-law was a pro-life champion and opened one of the nation’s first pregnancy crisis centers and shortly before his death was elected President of Florida Right To Life.
    Needless to say, my wife and I were heavenly involved with pro-life activities through our lives.
    I’m a tough dude but this subject is one I have little emotional tolerance for.
    I’m not afraid of anything but I shy away from the “details” of abortion. After seeing so many babies born, first from my siblings, then my wife and her siblings and now from my own children- seeing so many innocent faces of love on these babies it is quite devastating to imagine, much less read about, these details.
    God forgive us!😰
    On the issue of when abortion or “surgical” removal of a fetus is acceptable.
    For my part, when I look upon all of those innocent baby faces, if I had to decide which one would have to die I personally would choose myself to die before anyone of them.
    Didn’t Jesus do the same for us?
    In some respects, his torture even resembles the violence of abortion.
    Because of our fallen nature, hard choices have to be made and an ectopic pregnancy is one of those hard choice we have to make. Pray that one day we will want to save such a baby by looking for ways to do just that.
    That will be a good day my friends as our strength of resolve will have overcome one weakness of the Fall.

    2. Phillip, I am like you: I must shy away from the details of abortion. After having had two miscarriages and then having a beautiful baby with DS, I can’t even go there anymore. I remember sitting in the NICU when our daughter was a couple days old, and it hit me like a ton of bricks that somewhere between 64% and 90% of parents would have had her killed in utero if they’d gotten a pre-natal diagnosis of the DS. I can’t begin to tell you how that realization shattered me right then and there, and I guess I’ve never gotten over it. So I haven’t seen Unplanned, I haven’t seen Gosnell… I simply can’t do it. When I hear stories about women in crisis and babies at risk and so on, I pray like crazy; but for my emotional health, I have to leave it at that.

  31. I got into an argument with Democrats on nextdoor; I started out saying the difference between Democrats and Republicans. A female said we have to support so many additional children if we let them all live. The Democrats say whatever they think will help them say it is ok; do they believe it?

    I remember as a nursing student going into a back room of an Ob floor and seeing a baby breathing who was all alone and not covered. I stayed there for a little while praying but I did not say anything as I should not have been there. If I were where I am today I would have been very vocal.

    My 2 year old grandson is so precious and so smart; his Mother’s uterus was torn in the C-section and she lost blood but is fine.

    1. Interestingly Mary Anne, the argument about supporting children instead of aborting them stems from pure ignorance of the financial crisis in this country brought about BY abortion.
      One of the main unspoken “benefits” of illegal immigration is that the numbers exactly matches the number of Americans who have been aborted that would now be in those same jobs the illegals are needed to fill!
      On a side note after graduation, these same Americans would then become tax payers (like her) and not just on the recieving end of benefits as they would be adding to the economy by having children, buying houses, clothing, etc just like her and making a positive impact on the nation they would support instead of getting under-the-table wages and sending the money back to Mexico, etc.
      This is the dirty little secret the abortion advocates don’t wants us to know.

  32. All this discussion reminds me of a dream I had some months ago. My mother died last year after a long life. When I was a child, she lost 3 babies, all carried full term. (I was her “miracle” baby, the first one.) Some months back I briefly saw Mom in a dream, her head sticking out from under a snow white quilt, just the back of her head. I asked in surprise what she was doing “here”. All she said, in the dream, was “Such a beautiful baby.” I truly believe that God showed her the beautiful babies she lost. I hope that will comfort some of you. It makes me cry just writing this.

  36. Of course I confessed that I hadn’t done what I should have done as a student nurse of 19 0r 20 in the
    late 60s; I will never forget what I saw! No one ever approached me about smoking pot as they probably knew I wouldn’t have and I never smelled it at parties I went to back then. Once at an abortion center praying a girl stopped her car crying and being upset with us but she would not stop!

He is pretty critical of the hierarchy of the church . I feel as though most of what I’ve heard him say is needed to be said . I don’t know if you Beckita or Charlie agree ?     1. Sodakotarancher, I removed the links mainly because I don’t have the time to vet these particular videos and viewing takes much longer than reading articles about the material. Charlie has written here that he knows Church Militant has done good work. At the same time, the reporters can get ahead of their facts. I do check in at Michael Voris’ site then continue to read additional pieces and consider a broader picture as news develops on these topics. Like you, SDR, I think Michael is trying to give accurate info and be a lay voice which wishes to encourage others to be aware and stand up for truth and change.

      So agree with you that we must be willing to speak and face the truth. Perhaps the greatest danger in our reading is that we’re often tempted to hyper-focus on the problems. We know our Church is going through a mighty Passion Time. We can be sure, as in ages past, that God will continue to discipline us in these days. There’s a proverb, attributed to various people, which states: It is better to light a candle than curse the darkness. In times past, when crises have emerged in the Church, it has been the personal striving for holiness – and all that entails, including being ready to do whatever God asks of each of us – which brought about change, renewal, and setting things right.

Oh, how is it possible for folks to speak and face truth without Him, The Truth? For surely to pursue truth is to find Him. To speak truth is to speak of Him. To face truth is to look only upon Him.

        Talk about transforming the way we search, speak and see!

        In the midst of floods here yesterday, I took a break from pumping to ponder three of my favs: Lou Holtz, Vince Lombardi, and Charlie Johnston. What do these three have in common? Simply put, I see them as lovers and teachers of good processes. Sure, some would say they were/are focused on outcomes. Winning. But I think it’s better to highlight that these three were more focused on the process because the Win is assured in Christ Jesus. They know that. God wins. How we get there in His Divine Will is the process. Good process coupled with the degree to which we engage with and embrace the process –– putting forth our best –– is the key. Sure, there’s plenty of sweat and toil there… but there’s also an overriding joy and peace.

        Some favorite anecdotes from the lives of these coaches/teachers of process…

        On Lou Holtz: Someone asked him what he and the team typically prayed for before game time. He responded that they usually prayed for unity, overcoming, and each other, noting that they never prayed for victory. Why? Because he felt that victory had to do with preparation a –– doing the things they each needed to do.

        On Vince Lombardi: Some of his players were pleased that they showed up for a team meeting ten minutes early. “You’re late,” said Lombardi. “But we’re 10 minutes early,” protested the players. “The rest of the team here showed up 15 minutes ago. So, you’re late,” quipped Lombardi.

        On Charlie Johnston: When constantly queried about what is to come, he consistently answers with TNRS. When that is apparently not enough, he might throw in something like, “now, each of us must choose who we are.”

Amen, MP… to find Him and speak of His Justice and Mercy as ONE – true Justice, not free from anger, but not stuck in it either and to trust that HE has the WAY forward for us, if we but pick up our cross and follow after Him, ready to do w.h.a.t.e.v.e.r. He asks. We are living the Paschal Mystery of These Times. Sometimes, we deeply emulate Jesus, other times, it may be Simon, Veronica or the Angel in the Garden as we profess and strive to be a sign of hope to those around us.

I do know to an extent what it does not consist in. Too often we ascribe righteous anger in ourselves to anything but. In those many cases it’s the merely human emoting from our fallen nature. Maybe the episode of Jesus in the Temple with the money changers gives us a glimpse if we raise our sights to Empyrean realms and ponder deeply. On the surface… He springs into action with corded rope and overturns tables. Beyond, a Burning Love for His Father that we cannot fathom.

              1. That’s a tough one, Mick. Kinda like asking me what my favorite pie is. Depending on the day of the week, I’d probably give you different answers. Mostly, I’m a Lombardi man, but Landry is your man if you want a great example of quiet, masterful strategy and concentration as an art form.

                Lombardi had a gregarious, in-your-face style that heavily valued discipline. I like it that they named the Lombardi Trophy after him.

                As for “Bear” Bryant, there’s a famous Irish Pub in South Bend that has a little wall devoted to the man (amongst a wealth of Fighting Irish memorabilia). That should tell you something about the man, and how well respected he is in serious college circles.

                I think Jim Harbaugh is a Lombardi man too, what with the way he’s trying to rock the khaki’s, glasses, and ball cap. And I’m almost certain that Lou Holtz had a smidge of leprechaun in him. Surely we can agree on that.

    Fortunately, I discovered a new site https://thelibertydaily.com proclaiming “the conservative alternative to the drudge report”… at first glance, I felt at easeand at home. It is remarkable how a website can affect us.

    1. I’d say that Mat Drudge has always had a liberal tendency to reporting, but it’s pretty obvious his site is primarily a money-making machine at this point. That relies on eyeballs. Today’s eyeball grabber –– the big “i” word proceedings. Admittedly, I’m starting to get annoyed at the overuse of red headlines.

      Yesterday I got my morning news from a Sonoran Desert toad, an achy knee, the wind and a foreboding darkness. Sure enough, the storm broke hard at what should have been first light, and my clan spent the better part of the day battling flooding. Lotta work, but all is fine today.

          3. Your toad has already been a news topic of considerable interest in the past, MP.
            This is the toad the “toad lickers” were using to get high from back when toad licking was all the rage. The bigger part of the media event was people were licking the wrong toads, the Marine toad, and getting very sick and I believe some even died. So toads can be a litmus test for degenerate behavior as well as rain sometimes. Either way it’s a sign we’re all wet.
            Go figure….

            1. At first I thought it might be a stray Guinea pig because it was too dark to see clearly, then I saw it hop. My wee trail dog with a brain the size of a a walnut was smart enough to back off. Probably got a whiff of something unpleasant, so she shot back to heel at my boot. Nothing surprises me any more with this wicked generation. Toad licking for a high and devil tattoos… and the left thinks they’re attaining to the highest levels of civilization ever imagined.

              I don’t know how you feel, but I’m invigorated for the challenge. We were made for this!

There’s a confluence of events that I had never put together regarding Reagan, Pope JPII, the Berlin Wall, and Med. beginning. It gave me goosebumps; is really worth watching, only about 7 minutes.     Mick, there is a small Mexican rest. near Northwest Highway in Dallas where the Cowboys under Landry used to go and photos of those days are all over the walls. A patient of ours was a coach under Landry, had photos all over his house, and about 10 years ago was still having Tom Landry charity golf tournaments in the San Antonio area; he loved talking of those days.

    MP, the frog has eaten a lot of insects and must have been around for a good while.

    Charlie and Beckita, you both are doing God’s work! Thank you for all the time you both spend on helping us!
