(I have been struggling with the bug that has been going around these last few dates. A commenter asked me to reprise what I had written about Islam a few years ago. I published this piece in November, 2015. The only thing I would change comes in Item 4 of my summary at the bottom, where I speak of sending FBI agents to monitor terrorist infiltration. I would change that to agents of the US Marshalls. I have completely lost confidence in the honor of the corrupted FBI. I thought that the firing of James Comey might be the beginning of reform. But it was under Christopher Wray that an armed SWAT Team of almost 30 FBI agents was sent on a late-night raid to arrest Roger Stone, who even an idiot knew was neither a flight nor an armed risk. It was simply the excessive coercive armed bullying typical of a rogue quasi-legal agency in a banana republic. I have no confidence in, nor respect for, the FBI as a legitimate law enforcement agency any more.-CJ)

People in all cultures reach out to God – usually in the way they are taught. It is instinctive to us to want to know, love and serve our Creator. Most people, even if errant, are sincere in that desire. We are all embedded with a desire for the good, as well. To care for each other, love our neighbor…so we have tools to approach the throne of God even if our basic knowledge and wisdom is deficient.

Most Muslims, like other peoples, want to reach out to God…and do so in the way they were taught. Most would like to do so without the bloodshed, coercion and oppression. In fact, I suspect that many Muslims who emigrated to America over the years came specifically because they wanted to reach out to God in a way that was familiar to them, but without the violence and oppression. America, a land that guaranteed human rights, must have seemed the perfect place to do that. But America betrayed them. In America rose a toxic notion of tolerance, a notion that first enabled, then celebrated and favored cultural practices that were inimical to the values of freedom. This new American “tolerance” empowered the very brutes those Muslims came to escape – and all in the name of tolerance.

Up until 9-11, I considered Islam one of the three great monotheistic religions. It was not the actions of the terrorists that roused my suspicions, but the silence or obfuscation of the rest of Islam on the matter. If a group of Catholics had done that, I knew my Church would immediately rise in righteous anger to denounce the terrorists, to condemn them and proclaim excommunication on any who adopted such poisonous doctrines contrary to the faith. That did not happen with Islam. About the best they could muster was the “street-gang” defense: “It wasn’t us.” – denying personal responsibility while remaining ambivalent – and often excusing – the act.

It was that disturbing episode that led me to study the Koran. It is not very large…only about the length of the Psalms. I was stunned. I had heard all the quotations “proving” that Islam was a religion of peace. It was a shell game. To simplify, the Koran has two very different sets of rules, one for fellow Muslims and another for infidels. All the quotations supporting the “religion of peace” fantasy come from sections on how to treat fellow Muslims with whom you are in conflict. The rules for infidels are that they must convert or die. The only wiggle room is how long you give them to convert before you kill them. Even more shocking, all manner of brutalities against them, including torture, rape and murder – even against children – are not forbidden but are, in fact, considered blessed acts. When Muslim terrorists attacked the Beslan School in Russia in 2004, I stunned some of my friends when I said the Muslims would torture and rape some of the children. They accused me of bigotry – until it happened. Then they asked how I knew. I told them it is in the Koran – and I had read it. My study of the Koran had led me to the shocking realization that the terrorists WERE the expression of authentic Islam.

To be sure, the Hadith are important in Islam. These are commentaries written after the Koran, by various Islamic scholars, purporting to give additional words of Muhammed not included in the Koran. Some of those scholars made attempts to try to soften the clear homicidal bent of the Koran towards non-Muslims. Yet the Koran remains – and it is binding, no matter how much some of the Hadith tries to square the circle.

The great Christian writer and historian, Hilaire Belloc, argued that Islam is not a unique religion at all, but a singularly perverse Christian heresy. Belloc was an occasional collaborator with G.K. Chesterton and was president, for a time, of the Oxford Union. While I think his case is somewhat overstated, it carries deep insight into the historical phenomenon which is Islam. Certainly Islam recognizes but one God, emphasizes that man is to serve him, and posits an afterlife. Other than that, the differences are more striking than the similarities.

In Islam, God is a distant, alien thing. There is –and can be – no kinship between man and God whatsoever. The relationship is that of master to a dog, with a master who encourages a brutal viciousness in his dogs. There is no spark of divine dignity in any human, even the holiest of Muslims. They are either good pets to their malignant master or they are not. People are ever treated like things. This is how you get “honor killings” of family members for various – mainly sexual – transgressions. But those sexual rules only apply to women. A sister who has been raped is “broken, like a plate,” as I heard one moderate Muslim man describe it. She is no good anymore and must be discarded. Islam is a religion of appetites, not transcendent aspirations. It is a religion of rules, not of principles of morality. There is no kinship between God and man. Even the supposed rewards of the afterlife are purely temporal in nature – and still treat women as things. The great Muslim warrior supposedly gets 72 virgins to do with as he will. What, precisely, does a Muslim virgin get other than a vicious man?

G.K. Chesterton once said that the man who is intellectually serious about his faith must “either ascend into Catholicism or descend into disbelief.” While that may be overstated, too, it presumes that a man starts from a spark of truth to begin his inquiries. If your image of God is not as Father, as the source of good, but instead as a demanding, petulant murderer, you are severely handicapped in your search. I have said – and maintain – that most Muslims honestly want to know, to love and to serve God in peace with their fellows. I have also said – and maintain – that Islam, itself, is a satanic deception. In that sense, Belloc is absolutely right that it is one of the greatest of the heresies.

Our challenge then is to evangelize Muslims where we can and defeat Islam where we cannot. Christians can be terribly naieve. We think we have been at peace with Islam for much of the last few centuries, with some sporadic hostilities. We have not. Islam’s aim has always been to conquer the world and wipe out any remnants who will not convert. It has occasionally been engaged in strategic armistices with the west, but has been at war with it since late in Muhammed’s life. Ultimately, it will only accept victory or death.

I never propose that Christians should act with coercive aggression, even with Islam. If an Islamic nation is willing to live within its borders and maintain peace with its neighbors, it should be left alone. But the robust vigor of St. Joan of Arc and the best of the Christian Crusaders is my model for how Christians should behave in defending their faithWhile yet a teenage girl, St. Joan of Arc was sent by God to rescue France from annihilation. and lands against military assault. Understand that Islam is starkly different than Christianity in how it defines the role of the state and the citizen to religion. In Christianity, individual conscience is respected. The state is expected to act justly, according to transcendent principles that guard human liberty. In Islam, religion, politics and ideology are inextricably entwined. There is no freedom of conscience, only religious rules that must be ruthlessly imposed in all walks of life.

I see myself quoted frequently as saying that Our Lady of Tepeyac is going to convert the Muslims en masse. That is true, but only half of what I have said about the matter. I say that Our Lady will, indeed, convert Islam, mainly through its women, but not until we in the west confront it seriously, both militarily and intellectually. Then it will collapse on itself quicker and more easily than anyone can imagine.

All democracies before America ultimately degenerated into chaos, then dictatorship. Because of our success, we have completely lost sight that democracy is one of the most unstable forms of government ever devised. The genius of the founders was primarily in introducing stabilizing elements into the mix, elements that we have systematically and slowly dismantled over the last century or so. The system I would adopt presupposes at least a temporary absolutism. We are headed in that direction. Pray that whoever the absolutist leader is is committed to faith, family and freedom – and that after clearing away the cultural, ideological and structural brush and deadwood that has accumulated, he will return to us a system that is based on our foundational principles.

This is what I would do:

  1. Declare America formally a Judeo-Christian country that is open and tolerant to all people of goodwill, whatever their faith. No unit of government and no official can ban public or private displays and expressions of Christian or Jewish faith. No institution shall coerce any non-Christian into participation of public expressions.
  2. Do not allow Islamic terrorists to hide behind human shields in their own countries any more. Protect civilians in hostile zones by giving them frequent warnings that if terrorists have embedded themselves among them, they need to eject them or get out – because we are coming.
  3. Forget about notions of proportionality. If hostile powers insist on targeting the west or western citizens, the only acceptable solution is their unconditional surrender or their destruction. Continue pounding them until one or the other has been accomplished.
  4. Send FBI agents to watch over every mosque in the country. If worshippers do not incite violence, leave them be. If they do, shut them down. In the 50s and 60s, some racial supremacists used churches as cover for their nefarious schemes. The FBI shut down such covers while respecting the right of innocents to worship. We have a much larger, malignant force using some mosques as cover. End it.
  5. Sharia law is incompatible with freedom and American principles. Outlaw it throughout the country. Remove it root and branch anywhere it appears. Deport any who scream about it.
  6. A false dualism has arisen over the matter of refugees. Taking them in here or leaving them to die are not our only options. We have had such situations before – and in the Middle East. We can work to set up refugee camps in the Middle East to receive and house the refugees without endangering our population in a time of war. If that is not sufficient, we can find geographic locations elsewhere where western citizens are not endangered and then commit to humanitarian assistance.

There is a great deal of confusion and misinformation being spread – and even shrewd people don’t seem to notice. I watched a segment of Fox News where a conservative host conceded a liberal guest’s point that current rules require two years before a Syrain Refugee can be integrated into the U.S. The next segment announced that 351 such refugees have been integrated into the U.S. this month – and it did not even occur to the host to ask how that could be since it has not been two years. Be deliberate. Don’t let emotion blind you to obvious questions. Bad information leads to bad policy. Steady on.

Thank you very much Charlie, I learned the basics of what you said back in the 60’s but you carry it to a profound depth of straight forward and understandable presentation that I can very confidently support unlike some who seek to overwhelm with erudite and lofty arguments that lead to more questions and lack of true understanding. Please keep up your good work and may God continue to guide you and protect you. Simple words but that is my preference.

  2. Unfortunately, I must concur on all points after also having myself studied what’s actually in the Koran. Recently read in the wiki that Israel has 200 thermo-nuclear devices (and another 100 available) aimed on Iran making use of the delivery triad of missile, aircraft, and submarine cruise launch. I suspect that is the reason Iran has not openly sent an army across Iraq and Syria.

    I also have to believe that most Moslems have a conscience are thus as kind as any of us in their hearts, but their organized religion, which is accurately described as not simply a religion but also a set of government and cultural rules will control military behavior.

    I have been disappointed in Wray even before the Stone raid, and would like to see Barr replace him ASAP.

  3. My wife and I have a friend who is from Marrocco and is Muslim. He is a gentle soul. He will eat with us in our home without his meat being halal. His branch of Islam allows him to eat meat from Muslims,Christian’s, and Jews, but not from pagans. He simply wants to live his faith in peace and has disdain for terrorists, although he has not been very forceful about it vocally.

    I agree with what Charlie wrote. I too have read the Koran and was horrified at some of the sayings in it. Unfortunately, Islam is similar to protestantism in that there are many “denominations” to Islam that have different beliefs and no central authority like we have in the Catholic Church to clear up heterodoxy. Some take the sayings in the Koran literally, while others do not.

    I could be in error in what I’m about to write, but I believe from what I’ve read there are many Muslims converting to Christianity in different parts of the world, which is a good sign (I remember hearing this from Father Mitch Pacwa once as well). But, I have also seen an increase in the number of Westerners converting to Islam, which is a disturbing trend. If what I’ve come to understand is true, perhaps it could be because Christianity has become so watered down that it has lost its allure it once had. I think one of the primary reasons our world is in the state it is in is because Christians, particularly Catholics, are not on fire for Jesus and His Truth any longer. We have created a void of faith and goodness in our world, which is being filled by Islam, paganism, and atheism.

    I teach religious education in my parish, write about Jesus in Facebook often, and even started a small prayer group at my parish. It seems that no matter how much I pray and do, I feel like I am bailing water out of a sinking boat. But, I know Jesus and His mother are with me on that boat so I have nothing to fear.

Much more to it than this, but suffice it to say that we are so grateful for everyone’s prayers on both sides of the Pacific. Dr. Reed was delighted with Father’s first phase of recovery and Father was delighted to be able to sit up and eat a small meal this evening. Thank you, Lord! Thank you, Friends! Keep the prayers coming.”

      Offering all the current challenges that our families and friends grow in deeper union with Christ… for our Church, especially our clergy… for Charlie and his work for the Lord and for all in this community and our families… and for our Chinese evangelization work.       3. Beckita. Glad to hear of Fr. Wang’s good progress and outcome to our prayers. My surgery has been moved up to this Monday, reporting in time to be received on Friday. As a consequence, I’ve adjusted my communion novena for Fr. to be completed on this Sunday. So much happening these days. Watch and pray, pray and watch. TRUST in the Lord.

    Reading Charlie’s essay brought to mind a thought that I have had since 9/11. When a society/culture that does not believe anyone, or anything is worth dying for (ours), comes up against a culture whose members will happily die for their cause, I think there is little doubt as to what would be the result of any prolonged conflict.

    I keep hoping and praying that Americans in particular, and the West in general, will wake up to the threats we face and will reclaim our heritage, which is a Judeo-Christian culture and society, but I have my grave doubts.

    God have mercy on us.

  9. I am very much concerned with our freshman Congresswomen in their Muslim identity. Please feel free to talk or explain me out of it. The blatant anti-Semitism and spewing of Democratic hatred towards all not fully indoctrinated to their demands is all intertwined with their religious tenets. Oh, that the Catholic politicians would be so steadfast. One of the congresswomen, Ilhan Omar, is said to have married her biological brother several years ago to get a green card for him. He didn’t get what he thought he would so he is in the UK now and she has since remarried. Very bluntly, why does this matter less than a billionaire playboy 12 years ago doing (unfortunately) what billionaire playboys have always done? I think I just went down Cdl. Cupich’s rabbit hole. (Boy, I think I see Jimmy Hoffa over to my right)!

  11. There is only one perfect example to follow in Islam, the Prophet Muhammad. The Hadith, what the Prophet said and DID, are necessary for applying the text of the Koran to daily life. The Hadith are as sacred as the Koran. Please don’t be fooled as many cultural Muslims are that there are different “denominations” of Islam. Since there was only one Muhammad–one perfect example–there is only one Islam. Many different Muslims but only one Islam.

    As Catholics surely we can relate: there is only one Christ–the Way, the Truth, the Life; there is only one Church, YET there are ‘cafeteria’ catholics at every level. Do the different ‘catholics’ mean there is more than one Catholicism? No.

    While Muslims will be as individual as any other human being would be, Islam is Islam because Muhammad was Muhammad.

    1. Excellent piece, again Charlie! I never forgot the first time, nor the prediction, you wrote about this. When we get lazy, preoccupied, or un-learned, then we get ‘owned’. All guards should be up, no matter what religion or political party-sect-propaganda because it is not Christ. Like communism, the Blessed Mother will crush the head of satan. Yes…, I’ve read & heard as much as you said about Islam, and even that they seek to take over countries via immigration & having large families, so that a few generations later they can overpower the previous residents of those countries through sheer numbers; this wouldn’t be much of a problem if our society wasnt so materialistic and unwilling to have children, instead many unborn are aborted…

  14. Charlie this is one of your best pieces of work.

    After re-reading it I was searching my mind for a description of Pope Benedict’s analysis of Christian-Muslim “Dialogue”. In essence he questioned whether we in the West HAVE a basis for dialogue with Muslims.

    That Dialogue has to be based in a common understanding of the relationship of Faith-Science- Reason. It seems Benedict spent many years contemplating that necessary common foundation for “dialogue”. Bottom line is that if we don’t have a common conception of the relationship of those three aspects of reality …. especially the relationship of Faith to Reason … then dialogue leading anywhere at all is virtually impossible. We are simply talking past one another.

    With such profound differences in the concept of the nature of God and God’s relationship to Reason and to Science, Muslims and Catholics have no basis for a meaningful “dialogue” allowing for any significant compromise or peace treaty or even a cold detente. All efforts to kick start such hopeful interaction have proved fruitless or merely surface encounters.

    Allah is not the Holy Trinity. Allah is not God. Allah is not logos. Allah is not the Word. God does not contradict Reason. God does not contradict Science. Allah has no constraints and can contradict himself at will. God is not pleased with blood. Allah demands it. God does not compel conversion. Allah requires it on punishment of death by the sword. Individual unalienable human rights? Reason and Faith compel it … an intellectual nonstarter for Islam.

    Islam is not moderate.

    We have no basis for “dialogue”. We must submit or die. Or resist.

    I think too many Americans are naive in thinking they can live peacefully with Muslims/Islamics.

    1. Charlie, (or anybody), what’s your take on that gal who regrets joining the terrorist group and that she and other recruits did so because they were “ignorant” and “brainwashed.” Do you think she should be allowed back here; how can one be sure of their remorse…

      1. A) She’s not a citizen and, B) she plans to name a future child after a terrorist murder. Let her ply her malignant ugliness where she is at. She can do it without an Obama Phone and access to Starbucks – or our innocent compatriots. If she is truly remorseful, let her penance be to show her terrorist comrades what a noble place America truly is…but she can do it where she is at.           We talk about CHOOSING here at ASOH and the consequences for choosing poorly. That there is a time for choosing. That time closes. That opportunity expires. There is a judgement.

          Hoda Muthana made her choice at age 19. An adult. She made an adult choice. An awful choice.

          “Hoda Muthana, is pleading to come home after spending more that four years with ISIS.

          She hopes she doesn’t face jail time, but understands it is a real possibility for her once she is back in the United States.

          “Jail time, I don’t know if that has an effect on people. I need help mentally as well. I don’t have the ideology anymore but I’m just traumatized from my experience,” Muthana told ABC. “I almost cried myself to sleep everyday because I know that when I do get back, I will probably be sentenced to jail for I don’t know how much time and thinking that my last few moments with him [gesturing to her son] is stuck in a prison before another prison.”

          Some therapy lessons? That ought to be enough? Therapy lessons ought to be enough consequence for her choices and her actions?

          Not too young. 19 year old adult. Not ignorant. Not ignorant at all. She knew what she was doing. She made her choice to join America’s enemies and work to kill Americans.

          During the Storm we are being given time to CHOOSE our eternal fate in the world to come. We get to choose God and Love, or, Not God and Not Love as our eternal home. Our choice. So many are choosing so badly. We are accountable for our choice.

          Hoda Muthana had the opportunity to make a choice concerning her mortal temporal fate in this world.
          She got to choose. America and Freedom, or, Not America and Not Freedom. A really, really bad choice made from her own free will. She is now accountable for her choice. She is going to get in this world for the rest of her mortal life what she chose for herself. Not America. Not Freedom. She chose Hell on Earth.

          The truly sobering aspect of this interesting situation is that Hoda Muthana judged herself by virtue of the choice she made. AMERICA DID NOT JUDGE HODA MUTHANA.

          We judge ourselves when we choose Not God and Not Love. Fortunately for Hoda she still has an opportunity to avoid making the most horrible choice of all. An eternal judgement on herself. By the grace of God there remains time for her to choose well.

          That time closes. That opportunity expires. There is a judgement.

  18. Peoples of all cultures should indeed look to God for salvation. I do think though that god of creation created us to a purpose. Not to hate, not to kill but to protect that which He created. As an afterthought perhaps He created woman as He said, not good for man to alone. Woman of course would be given the virtue of nurture of off spring of man and woman as was intended by said God.

    Man of course was given the gift of killing for various reasons Free will of course should give us choice as to what we should decide to kill. Protect nature/nurture or just kill to advance ideal/ego. I never really understood as to how a god should deny a gift of one son oer the other. Then again I read very little of the bible. What little I have read though made me wonder as to this cruel god of the Old Testament. Somewhere in my old mind as I read bits of that testament I hear my old ma tell me. God will pass from the jews because of their wickedness. Therefore He will send His son with a New Testament.

    I have not read the Koran of course so I could offer no insight as to how some muslims from afar destroyed The American Republic. You don’t hear those words now I hazard. The Republic, it would seem that republic has been replaced by modern democracy. We also had that republic here Charlie. It was stolen by degrees as we were not paying attention to political cur’s who would sell their soul for a merc car.

    The republic which was given to Mr Washington was not stolen from Americay by muslims. America died, nay, was murdered when a clique could murder a president with impunity.         Listening now as I write to one of the links. I would in no way try to impress to any on here of me knowing any real knowledge of either the Koran or Islam. My first introduction to that way of life was a warning from my old ma as to Turks and the like in merchant shipping. Dem curs always carry knives son, keep a weather eye on dem. What I have learned from that lesson over time has me believe of none, none should be forced to look through a letter box to life. We are hypocrites though in the west as we allow new residents to come live here and carry on such tradition. Hypocrite twice as we accept female mutilation in the shadows and circumcision out in the open.

        The human frame was created with all its flaws. It needs no correction on the part of the human other than medical awareness. That has me think of my sons here as they admired tattoos. No son. If God wanted you to have a tat I’m sure it would be something with more imagination.

        Not intended to sound critical of Charlie as I think he has a much finer thought than I. I think his brush was a bit broad though as I think most today are quick to condemn olive-skinned faces with terror. Broad brushes I think would be used too of course as I worked abroad of here. The names Paddy or Mick as we seemed to have but two christian names once we leave our shores to foreign climes. The “Donkey jacket” comes to mind here as most on sites of construction tended to think donkey equated Paddy or Mick. But that specific fallacy is one of the reasons for making a clear and precise distinction between race and collective names that are assigned to believers–Muslim, Christian, Hindu. Sikh, etc.. You see, just as Catholic isn’t a race neither is Muslim. This fact needs to sink in deeply: Islam like Catholicism is not a race. Precisely, Catholicism is a religion, Islam is a totalitarian ideology with a small piece of religion.

          While olive-skinned faces can describe a characteristic of certain races, the face of both Catholicism and Islam is multi-cultural and racially diverse and both include people with “olive-skinned faces”. Only Islam has a divinely mandated directive to use jihad to strike terror into unbelievers’ hearts. The Koran says it and Muhammad did it.

        2. MAC I can’t believe how shallow your assessment of Charlie’s very in-depth account of what Moslems and the Koran are really all about. The reasons given are valid and yet you seem to ignore everything and reject it all merely because it points out the flaws in the whole system and is unfavorable to an ostensibly religious group.. That is not being prejudiced, that is based on facts which we ignore to our own peril. Charlie clearly points out the difference between how the Koran requires peaceful treatment of fellow Moslems in one part and the violence it requires in treatment of “infidels” in the other part, the difference between those Moslems who follow the Koran as written and those who focus on God and ignore and reject its call to violence against “infidels.” Charlie left out the part that says it is okay to lie to “infidels.” However, we can never be sure if push comes to shove which side they will support if it comes to real war. Perhaps the aftermath of 9-11 gives us a clue. Sorry but I could not just ignore your unwarranted attack.

          I do have a POLICE background and not of the more commonly phrased Law enforcement. I state with emphasis, we are not alike and do differ in attitude and calling. For instance, issuing a parking ticket or retrieving an animal does not make a police, aka “thank God you are here” law enforcement type. [i.e.FBI DEA etc]

          Local Police, and for the most part, (Including State Police) are the 911 responders of most calls. County Sheriffs. too.

          Environmental Control officers, park police, etc do not. Yes, they do respind, Thank God, but are not RESPONSIBLE for the job nor are they required to do so. yet, they possess similar duries and can incarcerate, pursuant to their duties.

      A couple of thoughts in answer to the question WHY?

      First thought: Ideology.

      Marxism, which the modern Democrat Party now embodies and professes with increasing boldness, pride, and confidence is based solidly in materialism aka atheism. Marxism places man at the center of the universe. Man sets the rules. Man orders the universe. Consequently, there are no and can be no inherently unalienable human rights. Individual rights and dignity are simply those conferred upon them by the State. And those rights, whatever they happen to be at the moment and in the place, are REVOCABLE at any time by the State. Marxism is at permanent enmity with even the idea of a transcendent God. And Religion. ANY religion that acknowledges a Divine Creator.

      Since our Constitution is founded on the idea of unalienable individual rights for each of us deriving from our status as Children of God who is the source of those rights, the Marxists reject our Constitution. Of course they do HIDE BEHIND IT as circumstances and convenience demands.

      Second thought: Politics

      Marxism arose in the middle of the 19th century. It was weak. As a political proposition it could not stand on its own ridiculous hegemonic argument. But Marxism is, if nothing else, amazingly adaptable. Marxism, dedicated to the destruction of all social classes save the proletariate working class (urban factory workers) had to learn to adapt to survive and did so by means of TEMPORARY alliances with those class elements in society that could be USED to advance the party line …. scientific materialism. But ALL such alliances were merely temporary constructs. All social elements or classes not properly viewed by the Marxists as necessary to or belonging to the proletariate are slated for liquidation. Destruction. Annihilation. By any means necessary. For real. No joke.

      Ironically, the greatest lie of all from the very beginning of Marxist thought which has perpetuated to this very day and is in full bloom in the Modern American Marxist Democrat Party is a professed preference for the POOR. Marxists have nothing but contempt for the Poor. In their view the most useless of all the social classes. A drag on the productive proletariate working class. Worse, from the standpoint of USING enemy social classes in alliance at least temporarily until time for destruction, the POOR were the least organizable. Marx had a contemptuous term for this social class. He called them the Lumpenproletariat.

      So much for the regard for the Poor by the Modern American Democrat Marxist Party. Useful tools and NO MORE than that. Slated for eventual liquidation. But not while they serve a particular purpose and use in securing political power. The Poor are to be USED to claw to the top before they are liquidated as the degenerate unemployables that they are. The Poor are not IDEOLOGICALLY CORRECT as they have no place in the future Communist State. The Poor are POLITICALLY CORRECT in the interim. So they serve as political allies to the Marxist Party.

      What does this Political cynicism with respect to the Social Class of the Lumpenproletariat Poor and the treatment thereof as useful idiot tools to the accession of power have to do with Jews and Christians?

      Think of Jews and Christians as a distinct social class in the Marxian world view. Think of Jews and Christians as threats to the ascendancy of the atheism of scientific materialism ….. IDEOLOGICALLY INCORRECT … but temporarily useful to the undermining of the status quo social order …. and therefore … POLITICALLY CORRECT. Targeted social classes. Always have been always will be. Just like the Lumpenproletariat.

      Bottom line: You can’t be both a Marxist and a Jew. You can’t be both a Marxist and a Christian.

      This is coming as a shock to Jews in America and increasingly to Christians in America — particularly Catholic Christians — who have been used by Marxists and who have ALLIED with Marxists in the Democrat Party to attain their own social class objectives. A Diabolical Alliance. The enemy of my enemy is my friend …. at least until it is no longer necessary or convenient.

      The immigrant Catholic Church in America, with its preference for the Poor (and for immigrants which it was largely composed of and advocated for), allied with the Democrat Party to achieve its social justice agenda. The Marxists within the Democrat Party were happy to tail along with the 20% of the population political juggernaut from FDR to Barack Obama. Electing ally after ally with the power to steer dollars and legislation in the Catholic Church’s ideological and political direction.

      The Diabolical Alliance of Marxists/Christians/Jews is coming rapidly unwound with increasing speed. At the initiative of the Marxist component of that Alliance. The WHY? of Marxist betrayal seen in the light of Marxist ideology and its cynical view of politics can be understood.

      You can’t be both a Marxist and a Jew. You can’t be both a Marxist and a Christian. Not at the same time. You can’t hold two opposing principles in your head at the same time. Because your head would explode.

      See Aristotle’s Principle of Non-Contradiction. You can only PRETEND to be a Marxist and a Jew. You can only PRETEND to be a Marxist and a Christian. AND VICE VERSA. That pretending existed on both sides of the Diabolical Alliance of Marxists/Christians/Jews while it was convenient and necessary. That would be the second half of the twentieth century. That time has come to an end. No more pretense is necessary … at least from the Marxist position. That is being reflected in clearer and clearer ways in the platform and the politicians of the Marxist Democrat Party of America … call it their political agenda. That political agenda is increasingly leaning to the persecution of Jews and Christians and will eventually lead to a program of annihilation …. by any means necessary.

      Christians and Jews have moved from being IDEOLOGICALLY INCORRECT/POLITICALLY CORRECT to a position of being IDEOLOGICALLY INCORRECT/POLITICALLY UNNECESSARY/POLITICALLY INCORRECT.

      The dance of convenience and necessity is over as far as the Marxists are concerned. Don’t need no stinkin’ Jews or stinkin’ Christians no more! Don’t need no Catholic Church no more!

      The next question — it has always been a question of the unsmiling stone cold rimless eyeglass Marxist intellectual class — is the WHEN? of it. Why NOW?

      A few days ago I posted a piece about the Rise of the Nones. The Nones are that part of the American demographic that professes No Religious Affiliation. A heavy proportion of the Nones are agnostics or atheists. The rest are just … well … otherwise occupied. Religion just does not register on their radar.

      The Nones have no skin in the social agenda of the Jews or the Christians or, more importantly, the moral values of organized religion especially the Roman Catholic variety. Quite the opposite. They view organized religion as a threat to their own misguided loyalty to materialism and the pleasures and rewards of this world.

      The Millennials age 22 -38 and Generation Z under the age of 22 are gaining a demographic edge. Read that voting edge. Over the dying out God Fearing generations. That would be the Jews and the Christians.

      Political power is shifting in America. The Marxists are seeking and forming a new Diabolical Alliance. A Marxist/Nones/Muslim alliance. The new convenient. More importantly … the new necessary.

      The silent majority has remained silent but is inexorably losing its majority to Generational Replacement. Jews and Christians are being replaced by Nones and by those who rub up against Judeo-Christian values and political agenda. An agenda viewed as dangerous to that group’s perceived pursuit of happiness.

      Bin Laden: “When people see a strong horse and a weak horse, they will naturally want to side with the strong horse. When people of the world look upon the confusion and atheism of the West, they see that Islam is the strong horse.”

      Corollary: When people see a strong horse and a weak horse, they will naturally want to side with the strong horse. When Marxists of the world look upon the confusion and atheism of the West, they see that the Ideology of the Nones is the strong horse creating the confusion and atheism.

      JFK wrote a thesis at Harvard which became a book entitled “While England Slept”. It examined the policy of appeasement by the English toward the growing menace of Hitler and Nazism. Lulled to sleep. Surprised when the wolf came to devour them.

      Someday somebody is going to write a book with the title “While The American Catholic Church Slept”.
      It will examine how the hierarchy of the American Catholic Church was slow to awaken to the emerging threat until it was too late. How the Bishops could not comprehend a betrayal of the Democrat Party of America. How the Marxists could end the Diabolical Alliance of convenience and necessity without notice. How the wolf would appear at the door to devour the Catholic Church in America.

      England survived. But will the American Catholic Church and the broader culture in America?

      England got an almost too late wake up call because Hitler misjudged the backbone of the English and made his move to war too early and too boldly.

      The Catholic Church and America may survive only due to the incredible audacity and boldness of the Marxist Democrat Party which may have lead them to reveal their cards and move to war against all of us too early.

      America’s Comfortable Catholics are asleep in the pews and in their living rooms. They don’t see what’s coming at them and what it is going to mean for the next generation and succeeding generations if not confronted … and defeated.

      It was a close run thing in England’s case. It’s going to be a close run thing in the Catholic Church’s case in America.

      The good news is that like England in 1939, the Church has a powerful ally on its side. God wins. God always wins. But it is going to be a heck of a struggle.

      Third thought: Money

      When we observe phenomena that we don’t understand on its surface it is usually a good rule to FOLLOW THE MONEY. A part of the throwing of the Jews and the Christians under de bus is due to the growing influence of foreign money. Oil money. Drug money. Foreign Government money.
      Influence bought for pennies.

      The Democrat Party no longer needs our votes. The Democrat Party no longer needs our money.

      We Catholics look at the outrageous attack on the Jews worldwide including here in America and ask ourselves ….. How can they keep voting for Democrats? How can they keep funding them?

      We should be looking in the mirror.

      England got a rude awakening because they were asleep at the switch and couldn’t see the train barreling down on them. That was on the British politicians plate.

      America’s Catholic Church is now asleep to the growing danger. That is on the Bishops and the Hierarchy’s plate.

I am not going to get into a useless match with you in trying to insult each other’s faith. We don’t do that here – and those that do are usually both too uninformed on faith history and the Bible to do anything other than make outraged ad hominem assertions. I am a former Protestant and am VERY familiar with all the ad hominems. If you read the Gospels, you will see that Jesus said MUCH more than what you cite. You might start with Luke 10:16, where Jesus tells His apostles, “He who hears you hears me, and he who rejects you rejects me,” and Matthew 21:23 which is like unto it. Jesus seemed pretty clear that He was not investing authority in everyone to make up their own interpretations.

                  Your coming from New Age as you are, you may be unfamiliar with a lot of Christian viewpoints. Our Love of God shall not change and our view of The Creator as being… simply awesome!

                  I have though of how to comunicate my thoughts in a relevant manner, and acknowledge I am quite the opposite. I realize actions speak louder than words so I generally keep my mouth shut. Though I do find my foot entrenched quite deeply…

                  Today. My prayers consisted of asking Gods forgiveness, praying for the conversion of sinners, for everyone who shall die today, for purification of all the souls in purgatory and the grace to bestow upon all those who are suffering.

                  I pray these intentions prior to the Chaplet of Divine Mercy…each day.

                  My view of the Catholic mass is: (in my lay view it consists of)

                  -Request forgiveness: “I confess to Almighty God my sins…”

                  -Offertory: Offering prayers, thoughts, hopes, intentions, deeds etc merging “my” prayer into the Passover ‘Seder’ mass at Calvary.
                  {We are present at the ‘Last Supper’}

                  -Consecration: merging prayer with Jesus as He offers Himself to God the Father.

                  Jesus at the Last Supper, aka Passover Seder meal, offered Prayer now and into eternity (time). The Catholic Mass celebrates this action, every day, at every hour throughout the World.

                  It is this primary reason, I attend Daily Mass as this is the Priority mission (of my life) & [Pray Stations of the Cross- Plenary Indulgence]

                  I have the opportunity to offer God my prayers in UNION with the Messiah. Thankfully, I may offer several prayer intentions at one mass.

                  Personal Relationship with Jesus:
                  In relationship, I receive the Body, Blood, Soul, Divinity of Jesus, aka the Lamb of God, {Eucharist} each mass. Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes sin away from the world.

                  => I think I am merging Him into me… rather it is the opposite. We are part of the Church. Jesus is the Head. We are the body.

                  -Priest Blessing

                  Go forth and proclaim the good news, the mass has ended go in Peace.
                  –Praise be to God

          2. It is a basic truth that positions to be valid must be based on a truthful foundation or they have questionable validity at best. While some go up busily erecting castles in the air, I choose to go down first in order to get to the heart of matters for without a firm foundation you cannot truly comprehend anything truthfully. In order to form a reliable opinion of Islam, you first must determine what it is. Charlie has done a marvelous job in clearly and concisely laying out just what it is and what it consists of that we may have a clear understanding of why it is a real threat to Western civilization and the world. One of the main elements of confusion is the labeling of Islam as a religion of peace based on that section which tell Moslems how they must treat other believers while ignoring that section which calls all Moslems to destroy “infidels” if they don’t submit in the time granted.
            All valid opinion must be based on truth not mere choice. We do not come to valid conclusions merely by make a preferential choice. We are not in control, we are not God. Even God is constrained by the truth He has established because He cannot be contradictory unlike Allah of the Koran. If you have disagreements with what Charlie has presented, if it does not have basis in fact which you have not presented, how can I be asked to take it seriously? Today the common attitude is truth is what you choose. A nun once said to me during a short discussion, “There is your truth and there is my truth.” to which I responded, “There is only one truth and that is Jesus Christ.” To which she only responded with a dirty look. End of discussion.
            We individually may not be able go to the sources and develop a strong basis for all our opinions and thoughts but must learn to discern who we can trust to give us reliable information. However in order to contest anyone we have to have a sound reason not based merely on personal preference, otherwise our opinions are baseless. Nihilism, I can’t know the truth, is a lazy cop-out. It is difficult to receive new information without a framework in which to absorb and make sense of it in some proper context. Education is a lifelong process and the more I learn, the more I realize how little I know. In this community there is a call, “Come let us reason together.” I like to think that together we may come to the greater truth as the Storm builds and the challenges become more intense. Let us go forward in love and respect for one another as we journey on together. May the Holy Spirit continue to protect and guide us, lead us to all holiness and Truth.   27. I think that Hoda Muthana should be allowed into the country with the understanding that she make a tour of the mosques of America and tell her story in them for a certain period of time. Then she should be granted her citizenship back. Charlie said that the Muslims will be saved by their women, so why not give one a chance to do it. She seems so highly motivated.     1. Nice sentiments Arthur but I have seen no real indications that she would indeed make this truthful tour as you would envision. Simple statements of regret could easily be a cover for doing the exact opposite if granted re-entrance into the US. There are other indications that she has not truly repented as indicated by a yet to be substantiated claim that she intends to name her child after a terrorist murderer. I would advise caution.

        While I agree that “virtue signaling” (yuck) is a “root hair” of the deception, I think that Dr. Bill Warner, aka Dr. Bill French, has an unsettling insight into the more substantial but perhaps less tangible ‘taproot’ for authorities and Western Civilization in general. He describes it as The Battered Wife Syndrome of the Infidel.

        You may already be aware of his work. If not it can be found at Political Islam . com He’s an interesting specimen, Dr. Warner is. A former Physics professor, he became an Islamic polemicist after 9/11. He wondered where all the outraged moderate Muslims were. Not finding many, he statistically examined the texts of Islam. Spoiler: his findings don’t look good for infidels, but they look even worse for Muslims–especially Muslim women. I hope you’ll take a look since he presents strategies for charitably approaching believers with pertinent questions to help them consider just what exactly they profess.

  31. I am an Orthodox Muslim and I see many similarities between Sufi Islam and Catholicism. Sufi Islam can be described Catholicism of house of Ishmael. Your aggressive zeal may be a reaction to sexual revolution and militant secularism but we cannot resist them unless children of Abraham, Ishmael and Isaac unite. Jesus was not simply a Messiah but a King Messiah, and Islam exists to prepare for his kingdom

    1. ishmaelabraham, Hello and it’s good that you communicate here. I am puzzled though. As I have read about the Sufi approach, it is highly intellectual, thoughtful, ascetic, and that is a good. Islam itself is centered on its Koran, and that’s what causes my puzzlement. Jesus is well known for having given us the Golden Rule which goes beyond mere tolerance for those we find to be wrong, but to even be loving toward them despite differences. By contrast, as Islam_Is Islam was communicating above, doesn’t the Koran hold infidels and women effectively in contempt? And doesn’t the Koran direct it’s adherents to fain kindness to infidels when they have power, but when gaining power over them to subjugate them to convert, and if they continue to refuse conversion to kill them? Thus, how can Catholicism and Islam be equated? Do not the actions of jihadists reflect this ultimate hatred of infidels?

      If you have an interest in Catholicism, EWTN is broadcasting Divine Mercy Sunday. This is the day God (Jesus) is opening up the floodgates of Grace, pouring out over whomever asks for His blessing and help.
