An Announcement amidst Signs of Hope

(ASOH is grateful to share this news while encouraging support for the newest prayer initiative, first announced by Fr. Richard Heilman at his site, Roman Catholic Man. Under the video which accompanies this announcement are two signs of hope. ~Beckita )

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT:

THE WORLD UNITES TOGETHER IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE

From Fr. Richard Heilman       March 31, 2018

Jesus promised St. Faustina, “I bear a special love for Poland, and if she will be obedient to My will, I will exalt her in might and holiness. From her will come forth the spark that will prepare the world for My final coming” (Diary, 1732). I have been saying for years, now, that Poland is the “spiritual epicenter” of the renewal of faith on our planet.

Providentially, on October 7, 2017, as the whole world looked on (New York Times article), a grassroots call for prayer, in mostly Catholic Poland, grew to one million strong in what was called, Rosary on the Border.” Shortly after that, Ireland was inspired to do the same, and then Italy, and now the British Isles in what they call, “Rosary on the Coasts,” set for April 29, 2018. We, in America, have had something similar, which we called, Novena for Our Nation.” Tens of thousands of faithful prayed the miraculous 54 Day Rosary Novena from August 15 (Solemnity of the Assumption of Mary) to October 7 (Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary).

ANNOUNCEMENT:

International Coordinators from Poland, Ireland, the British Isles and Australia – as well as other countries – have pledged to join the US, both in the prayers leading up to and through world-wide prayer events scheduled for the weekend of October 6-7, 2018. In essence, this world-wide alliance of spiritual warfare is the coming together of the new “Holy League of Nations.”

Between now and October 7, under the banner of Rosary Coast to Coast,” Americans across the country are invited to lead, pray and engage with “Rosary Coast to Coast wherever they can gather: along the US coasts and borders through pilgrimages and processions. If unable to organize trips to the US coastline, they are encouraged to participate in parish churches; in front of state capitols; as families; or simply while viewing the live-stream of the National Rosary Rally in Washington, DC.

The events will culminate with the Rosary being said, simultaneously, throughout the country (and the world) starting at 4:00pm eastern, 3:00pm central, 2:00pm mountain, 1:00pm pacific.

WHY NOW?

My friends, as we entered Lent this year, we were shaken by a terrible tragedy. On Ash Wednesday, we faced the horrific news of the shooting deaths of 17 (mostly teenagers) at a high school in Florida. As the events unfolded, we were additionally horrified to discover that four armed officers stayed outside of the high school, behind their cars in the school parking lot, as they listened to the shots fired inside; each of which meant another life taken by the shooter.

I was scheduled to give a talk the next day, on spiritual warfare, to a men’s conference. I made the decision to reframe my talk, based on that recent terrible event. As I recounted the event to the men, I then said, “You see?” (I told the men) … “those four officers, cowering behind their cars in the school parking lot, as they listened to the gunman kill one child after another, could not encapsulate more effectively what has gone on in our culture, especially in the past half century.”  “My brothers,” I said, “this was under our watch. Why did this happen? Because we allowed it. We crouched behind our proverbial cars in our proverbial school parking lots, while we allowed souls to be lost.”

Jeffrey Kuhner of the Washington Times wrote this …

“For the past 50 years, every major institution has been captured by the radical secular left. The media, Hollywood, TV, universities, public schools, theater, the arts, literature — they relentlessly promote the false gods of sexual hedonism and radical individualism. Conservatives have ceded the culture to the enemy. Tens of millions of unborn babies have been slaughtered; illegitimacy rates have soared; divorce has skyrocketed; pornography is rampant; drug use has exploded; sexually transmitted diseases such as AIDS have killed millions; birth control is a way of life; sex outside of wedlock has become the norm; countless children have been permanently damaged — their innocence lost forever — because of the proliferation of broken homes; and sodomy and homosexuality are celebrated openly. America has become the new Babylon.”

Yes, this has happened “under our watch.” As Kuhner wrote, we “have ceded the culture to the enemy.” How could we let this happen?

Please allow me to give my analysis …

This past year, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady at Fatima. Some contend that Our Lady’s warnings at Fatima marked the beginning of the 100-year unbinding of Satan that Pope Leo XIII spoke about in his vision on October 13, 1884; a vision that inspired the St. Michael Prayer. Remarkably, Pope Leo’s vision was 33 years (the lifespan of Jesus), to the day, to the Miracle of the Sun in Fatima (October 13, 1917).

In Pope Leo’s vision, Satan asked for 100 years, and a “greater power.” I believe this “greater power” points, not so much to Satan’s strengthening, but more to our “weakening.” Over the past century (1917-2017), we have sat by as aggressive forces did all they could to destroy our belief in the supernatural power of God. As the past 100 years progressed, we removed our spiritual armor (Ephesians 6:11) and dropped our spiritual weapons (Rosary, et. al.), as we have stood naked and unarmed on the battlefield of spiritual warfare, while Satan moved mostly unabated in our times. Satan has had an easy time of it, now with a “greater power,” as we ignored our Lord’s warning … “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26). Engrossed in our worldly cares, we simply sat by and allowed our country to become the “new Babylon.”

At the very beginning of our nation, Sir Edmund Burke said, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” Archbishop Fulton Sheen put it this way, “The refusal to take sides on great moral issues is itself a decision. It is a silent acquiescence to evil. The tragedy of our time is that those who still believe in honesty lack fire and conviction, while those who believe in dishonesty are full of passionate conviction.”

In our culture, just less than three years ago, we were “told” marriage no longer meant what it had for all of civilization. Now, it can mean whatever we want it to mean. And we hid behind our proverbial cars. Not too long after that, we were “told” we must allow adult men to share a bathroom with our little girls. And we hid behind our proverbial cars. It has now been 45 years since we were “told” that innocent babies, in what was once the safest place in the universe … our mothers’ wombs, no longer received those protections. No, we are now free to brutally dismember these babies. And, for all of these 45 years, as 60,000,000 innocents were murdered in the USA alone, the VAST MAJORITY of us have been hiding behind our proverbial cars in the proverbial school parking lot.

The time is NOW!! As Archbishop Fulton Sheen wrote, we’ve lacked fire and conviction while the enemies of God were filled with passionate conviction. But now, in Poland, Ireland, Italy, Great Britain, Australia, America and all around the planet, faith-filled souls are rising up – with weapons (rosaries) in hand and belief in the supernatural power of God, as each of us says …

“I’M GOING IN!”

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” -Isaiah 6:8

Two Signs of Hope

God said, “This is the sign of the covenant…When the bow is in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant that I have established between me and all flesh that is on the earth.” (from the Book of Genesis)

On Holy Saturday, Fr. Heliman posted an update to his piece on the March 31st Blue Moon and included this photo:

“As the sun set on Holy Saturday, a symbol of our Easter hope in the Resurrection appeared over St. Peter’s Basilica.” -Vatican News

Two days later, when Our Lady of Medjugorje came, as usual, on the 2nd of the month to pray with Mirijana for all those who do not yet know the love of God, this sign was captured on camera:

Blessed be God! Ave Maria!

  1. Beckita, I love this! In order for this to take off, we really need our Archdiocese and Diocese to get on board. Sadly, the last time I sought my parish and diocese to participate in the February 2, 2018 Rosary for the Purification of the Church event, it fell on deaf ears.

FB, emails, and tweets just do not seem to grab the attention necessary. Granted there was a short window of opportunity to get organized once this was announced. ASOH family, how can we best be involved in rallying behind this event?

Also, I am sharing a personal video from earlier today captured bya fellow social media follower. I got chills reading and watching it!

“Breaking News from #Jerusalem the Resurrection Church :blood is leaking from the stone Jesus body was laid before his burial . You can hear the Israeli police closed the area.”

    1. Wow, Jen! I find that the blood leaking from the stone is chillingly ominous. Makes me think of Charlie’s piece “Crimson Tide, Blue Wave.” I recall, too, Our Lady of Kibeho forewarning the seers in Her messages in Rwanda. She said that “a river of blood” would flow across Rwanda unless the Rwandan people stopped harboring hatred and animosity for each other. She exhorted them to, instead, turn their hearts with love and brotherly charity towards one another.

It would be interesting to test that blood seeping from the stone marking the place where Jesus’ Body was laid before his burial. I wonder if it matches the results of His Blood tested in many Eucharistic Miracles from around the world. Does this sign of blood connect with the sign of the rainbows above? We have spurned Abba’s Covenant which He made with us, His precious children, originally created in His Image and Likeness. The Father and Son are ONE. “If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” (John 14:7) Must it be the spilling of blood to bring people to their knees that they may repent to rise again in True Love of God and our brothers and sisters?

Echoing your question, Dear Jen: ASOH family, how can we best be involved in rallying behind this event?

      1. “Must it be the spilling of blood to bring people to their knees that they may repent to rise again in True Love of God and our brothers and sisters?” – Amen Beckita.

In the video, a pilgrim from today’s Orthodox Good Friday Procession, which ended at the Church, dipped their wooden cross into the blood/fluid. Perhaps it will be analyzed. I’ve found no other news reported on this, so far.

      2. From the entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday:
        36
        As he rode along, the people were spreading their cloaks on the road;
        37
and now as he was approaching the slope of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of his disciples began to praise God aloud with joy for all the mighty deeds they had seen.
        38
        They proclaimed:
“Blessed is the king who comes
in the name of the Lord.*
        Peace in heaven
        and glory in the highest.”
        39
Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples.”*
        40
He said in reply, “I tell you, if they keep silent, the stones will cry out!”

        Indeed, I think they have.

      3. Well, Fr. Heilman said that we could gather “as families” to pray. Well, TNRS-ASOH is a family. Couldn’t WE do it? Can’t we commit to pray together, as a family, in this endeavor?

    2. Amazing JB Thank you.

It brought to mind a few thoughts about stones.

“And the stone that the builders rejected has become the Corner Stone”

We cannot get blood out of a stone but God can.

“Thou art Peter and on this rock I will build my Church”

      “Set your face as flint.”

“I tell you solemnly if these did not cheer the very stones would cry out.”

“He is the rock of ages who shed his blood for us”

When Moses struck the rock with his staff there came forth water. When the soldier at the cross struck The Rock with his spear immediately there came forth blood and water.

      1. Thanks for sharing this discovery, Mezza. I, too, went searching after I noticed your comment and found the Church Pop article as well, Jen, and noticed the notation on You Tube, Harlan, concerning the 2014 date. It’s important to be accurate. My further wondering: Has anyone discovered verification that this blood-seeping phenomenon actually did occurr in 2014?

        Liked by 1 person

        1. I have spent considerable time ‘sleuthing’ to see if there is any reference to this actually happening as a supernatural event. I can find nothing. The vision does look like blood but maybe it was placed there by a misguided person, or even a self harmer although I pray that was not so.

  2. Beckita,

The “Two Signs of Hope” you cite, may well fulfill the portion of of St. Bosco’s prophecy which reads:

“There shall yet come a violent hurricane. Iniquity is at an end, sin shall cease,  and before two full moons shall have shone in the month of flowers, the rainbow of peace shall appear on earth…

    To God be the glory…

  3. Not everyone can get out to join a physical prayer chain. So what to do?

A number of years ago Dad was in hospital at deaths door. In desperation, I picked up my Rosary and begged for my father’s life and offered up a 54 day Novena Rosary. I began that Novena on December 7th. My Dad recovered but after three years he was called home on December 8th. That is the power of the Rosary! God does not refuse anything that passes through our Blessed Mother’s Immaculate Heart.

We could unite spiritually, all of our Rosaries, sufferings and offerings under a common goal for each of our countries that we represent. We will need the assistance of St. Michael and all the Saints, particularly those Saints that God sends to help each of us. We will need them to protect, strengthen and help us. My church where I live is no help so I usually unite spiritually with others on the internet that have similar intentions and missions. We could begin with a Novena to the Holy Spirit to organize and lead us.

    God bless everyone here!

    1. Cathe….i am offering you a suggestion ….this is what I did today after i read this…— I sent out email to personal recipients who will want to do this. Not all are savy prayer warriors, so in my mass email, made suggestions to start our training now like any good warrior does before a scheduled conflict.
      1. Start training now….a quick prayer for this intention, ….a decade of the rosary, a short prayer of Jesus Mary and Joseph, we love u, please stir the hearts to conversion, or a fasting of sorts…not yelling at the traffic light, the person who bugs you, the yelling screamer , etc….
      2. Expand the endurance.
      3. train the body mind and soul leading up to Oct 6-7

If you cannot not form an official church group, then your virtual group is another effective support.
We got to lace up our boots, and hit the trail! God bless and best of luck!

Has anyone heard of an author named Philip Lawler, book titled Lost Shepherd? Was highly recommended that I buy it and will explain alot within the confusion these days. Thank you and God bless

            Liked by 2 people

            1. Hard to believe you’re having trouble locating this book. Type the title and name of the author into your browser and take your choice of the many links discussing it. Apparently it’s a recently published put down of Pope Francis written by a Catholic, most would consider credible.

              Liked by 2 people

            2. LEEL004, here is a good review of Philip Lawler’s book:

              http://www.patheos.com/blogs/davearmstrong/2018/02/phil-lawlers-lost-shepherd-amazon-review.html

Here’s another review. The writer’s tone is fairly exercised; but he makes some decent points, and he gives several Lawler quotes that make me wonder if Lawler may be starting down the same road that Kelly Bowring is on:

              https://ronconte.wordpress.com/2018/01/17/phil-lawler-versus-pope-francis/

As for me, I’ll be taking a pass on the book. There are some well respected Catholics who think that this book is worthy of serious consideration. I am a nobody with no theology or philosophy degrees and no book titles to my credit; but to me, this book looks like a poorly reasoned hatchet job that could quite possibly lead or contribute to a schism in the Church. Just my $0.02.

              1. Thank you Mick. You have so much common sense and I agree with you. I am not going to read anything negative about our Holy Father as I do not know where God is going with all of this. Let us just pray cintinuously for the Pope.

                Liked by 5 people

              2. Couldn’t agree more with you, Mick, about saving my coins and passing on this book. Here’s another review of Phil Lawler’s book, leel. Of course, Mr. Lawler is editor of Catholic World Report so, surely, there would be bias in presenting his work as balanced. The value of the review, is that you get an overview of Mr. Lawler’s concerns which, actually, comprise topics we’ve discussed here. Bottom line for me not bothering to read this book is that it ascribes motives to Pope Francis which *no one* can possibly know with certainty. And, as Mick notes, Mr. Lawler incites and encourages schism.

I thought Ron Conte did a good job of pointing to the dangerous declarations and suggestions made by Mr. Lawler, yet, I sit here shaking my head. Why? Ron Conte’s writings were banned from TNRS due to his own outrageous and faulty thinking as he presents himself as a theologian (who actually writes a ton of speculative theological stuff and claims his undergraduate studies as his right to be called a theologian).

We are in a time of great confusion. Understatement to the max. It has become so very difficult, even for those spiritual writers who keep a pulse on current crises via writing in measured and insightful ways. One of my favorites in this regard has been Fr. Dwight Longenecker. In one of his recent pieces, he expresses his own frustrations. His closing advice in this piece: “All the more reason for Catholics at the local level to up their ante and be more radiantly, positively, joyfully Catholic. Now is the time for some truly dynamic, radical Catholicism to appear.” Another such writer is Fr. Richard Heilman who finds a way to discuss the issues without condemning our Holy Father as he did in this piece.

I’m of the belief that we’re simply not going to understand everything until we have hindsight. I also believe the greater wisdom in this scenario is to simply pray our way through this and to keep taking next right steps as a steadying force… we pray to remain at peace ourselves, for Pope Francis with petitions as does Charlie in his third decade of the Rosary, and for our brothers and sisters in the Church to remain in the Barque of Peter. Prayer changes everything.

Closing now with focus on Charlie’s closing in his latest piece about our Holy Father who deserves our support and prayer:
“I doubt we have seen the end of strange statements emanating from Rome that give scandal to much of the faithful. I miss the days when the question atop this article was more obviously rhetorical. Yet in all things, God has His purposes, even when the intention is obscure to our eyes, when we can only see as through a glass, darkly. So I continue to regard the Pope with filial devotion, even when I wonder what, in heaven’s name, he is thinking. And I will continue to offer the third decade of every Mystery on his behalf and in submission to his legitimate spiritual authority. The story is not finished, yet – and tonight, the Light of the World rises anew in our sight.”

                1. Thank you all for your perspectives. I appreciated very much.
In my discussions with my friend recommending this book, the concept of “separating the sheep from the goats” came up. Interstingly we agreed that it may be what God is allowing now.
Not knowing the mind of God, we do know the EMPHASIS He has on OBEDIENCE!
Thanks again to all who responded. Aloha and God bless

                2. Oops…. Sorry, Beckita! I’d forgotten that Ron Conte had been banned. When I saw that he was the author of the second review to which I linked, I was thinking, “Hmmm… that name looks familiar, but I don’t know why.” 🙂

Anyhow, mea culpa; and I’ll try to avoid linking to ban-ees in the future. Maybe you could e-mail me a list? (Ha!) 🙂

                  1. Ha, Mick. No worries. Actually, I thought the piece you shared from Ron C did a good job of enlightening the problems with the book. What prompted my head shaking was the realization that our times are so convoluted and I actually appreciated his insights this time. We removed the LifeSiteNews link from the side bar at TNRS as well but, sometimes, they’re right on target with information and analysis. Same with 1Peter5 which was very anti-Pope Francis. Some pieces which are posted there are worthy of consideration. It seems we’re living in a world more surreal than Alice in Wonderland right now.

                    1. Beckita, your comment reminded me of Is. 40:4, which also lead to Is. 42:16. It made me mindful, hopeful that God is gathering His children in ways we don’t understand.

“Let every valley be lifted up, And every mountain and hill be made low; And let the rough ground become a plain, And the rugged terrain a broad valley; Is 40:4

“I will lead the blind by a way they do not know, In paths they do not know I will guide them. I will make darkness into light before them And rugged places into plains. These are the things I will do, And I will not leave them undone.” Isaiah 42:16

  5. This is an excellent article, and I have been saying this forever. With each evil act and law that has been passed the people of faith get up in arms ,complain and slowly it drifts away..We are guilty of complacency and so we are now at a point of living in times far worse than sodom and Gomorrah. The comment I posted earlier about rising up and saying no more were not calling for violence but we cannot continue to remain silent..the evil is rising daily and it is hard to believe what we are witnessing. The power of this Worldwide Rosary Rally is incredible..I remember the apparition of the African Priest praying because of the slaughter of the Christians in his area at the hands of the Muslims..Jesus appeared to him with a sword in his hand which he handed to him..It instantly turned into a rosary.

  7. Dear faithful Beckita – Thank you soooo much for posting this. It is critical, I think. It would be significant if our Baptist/evangelical brothers and sisters join us in some way in this effort. They too are appalled at our current state of morality. Let us not focus on differences but on sincere prayer to Almighty God – our Christian God – to hear us and answer. Show me Lord what I can do; inspire me through your Holy Spirit. Fire up our hearts and give us the grace of fortitude and perseverence. Amen. I feel just a little of the weariness lifting!! Thank you Lord!!

Mezza49, I did attach the ChurchPop article to Nicola’s timeline and he has since responded that he was not claiming that it was filmed live – the ‘breaking news” followed by his video of the church earlier in the day saying do not google for info, he is there (paraphrasing)…, was misleading.

In any case, it would be interesting to research further the news from the time is actually occurred for more information. ❤

  12. Sun Spins at National shrine Divine Mercy Stockbridge, Vigil Mass for Divine Mercy Sunday. Fr. Chris & Fr. Joe stated such commentary during EWTN discussion after Communion service. I believe Fr. Chris Alar is the person who stated about one hundred people viewed the sun spin, dance, move, change color etc. He stated not so today as it is snowing.

  13. update on Sun spinning in Stockbridge. It was Fr. Joe who introduced at 1:56 hr of 2:30 broadcast on EWTN. Fr. Chris elaborated further stating they may have a miracle hundreds upon hundreds of people who remained after the Vigil mass saw the sun circle, rotate, pulsate… expand burning red … hundreds if not thousands saw it”.

Fr. Joe beautifully concludes: The Lord is saying, I know times are tough… I am here… I have not abandoned you. I am close,

  15. Blessings of this Solemnity of the Annunciation to all of us and our families! All Glory to God for creating and choosing our Blessed Mother for His Son and that Jesus gave Her to us as Her children. May oceans of graces continue to wash over us as we pray without ceasing:

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with thee.
    Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death. Amen.

  16. Took all your prayer intentions (stated or otherwise) with me into the desert this weekend, clinging to the thinnest thread of hope and experiencing a very rare bout of feeling sorry for myself (or perhaps it was a sustained stretch of contemplating too many sorrows). Thus, I was led deeper into the desert and away from the usual stomping grounds that are always a tremendous consolation. On top of that, I haven’t seen my buddy, Old Gold, in weeks… and maybe that was the kicker.

Nonetheless, it dawned on me that being a part of The Body is everything, my concerns really nothing, and sometimes just walking (even if it feels endless), being led by The Spirit, gives a fella resolve and makes a sorrowful slog into a purposeful journey. What an honor to be truly mindful of your prayer intentions, pray for my brethren, and to know that your intentions are already nestled deeply in His Heart… with our without my little effort.

Somewhere at about the 11th mile I crested a small ridge and the first real grin of the day sprouted. There in open desert, right in front of me, was an impressive herd of wild mustangs, and it was obvious to me in an instant whose progeny they were. Old Gold’s.

Yep, I would know the markings anywhere. This colt in the middle is a grandson… heck, his stance is exactly like the gransire. A real chip off the ‘ole block.

For some time after, I simply sat on a nearby rock and marveled at the wonderful dynamic at work in this family and the extended herd. Truly, these relatively ignorant animals provide an example of how it should be in our families, doing precisely what God designed and intended us to do. Small experience that it was, I still took this as a great sign of hope, and, dare I say, a promise.

I know this, of course, just as sure as we’re all embedded deeply in His Heart. And that thin thread? Oh, surely it was stronger and thicker then the greatest anchor chain, but sometimes a fella has to start a long slog and see it through to get a clearer picture.

    God Bless,
    MP

    1. What beautiful horses, MP! “Nugget” is quite the appropriate moniker. 🙂

By the way, a couple or so days back, you came into my mind out of the blue; not sure why. Anyhow, I said a prayer for you. Just wanted you to know. 🙂

      1. Thanks, Mick. Nugget is quite the character. That’s his brother on his rear and the mare in front is his ma.

Appreciate the prayers as always. I’m not gonna lie… it’s been a challenging stretch lately, but I sometimes chuckle when I think of your, “Yep. Bring it!” I too think that we need to get through this to a better place, though I’m usually quick to add, “but if you must bring it, bring it gently… or at least keep it manageable for Heaven’s sake…”

The downside is that so many find a mess in their midst with little reliable help on hand. The upside is that we’re a part of The Body, maybe scattered across vast distances, but connected nonetheless. When it’s choppy seas, I send my Guardian Angel to rouse the troops in prayer. When it’s really darkest, I have my GA make a beeline (unless he’s got a better plan) for my go-to’s… the ones I know who are always alert, ready to heed the call.

‘Course that works both ways, so when someone pops in my mind out of the blue, I get right to the praying.

        1. I’m not presuming that I’m one of your go-to’s, but I’m thinking that it must’ve been your guardian angel whispering to me the other day. Glad I wasn’t napping when he came a-callin’ (I do love my naps, when I can catch one). 🙂

I was proud to see the New Zealand bishops mentioned in this wonderful call to holiness by Pope Francis. I woke in the wee small hours as usual and began to read it. Our Holy Father is just that – a holy father to us all, full of wisdom and kindly exhortation who meets us where we are and leads us to greener pastures. Deo Gratias.

    1. Thank you for this, Joe. I’m about halfway through the text, revealing Pope Francis’ insights as he reiterates the spiritual wisdom of the ages in light of the needs of our times. I love his emphasis on the triad of prayer, the sacraments and works of charity as he calls us to grow in love of God and His people. Immediately, I could see this commensurate call to cleanse ourselves of any vestiges of apathy, echoing – in new ways – these words of Christ. “So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” (Rev 3:16) A constant battle it is to grow in holiness! So needed in our times are Pope Francis’ reminders and as I looked at footnote references, I noticed the beautiful closure, both venerating and calling upon the intercession of Our Blessed Mother”

“176. I would like these reflections to be crowned by Mary, because she lived the Beatitudes of Jesus as none other. She is that woman who rejoiced in the presence of God, who treasured everything in her heart, and who let herself be pierced by the sword. Mary is the saint among the saints, blessed above all others. She teaches us the way of holiness and she walks ever at our side. She does not let us remain fallen and at times she takes us into her arms without judging us. Our converse with her consoles, frees and sanctifies us. Mary our Mother does not need a flood of words. She does not need us to tell her what is happening in our lives. All we need do is whisper, time and time again: “Hail Mary…”

      Amen. Alleluia!

  18. It has come to me most clearly these days of how intense the primordial question of Pontius Pilate reverberates throughout the world in these times of growing apostasy, “What is Truth?” Jesus gave us that answer, “I am the truth, the way, and the light.” And yet how few today recognize that everlasting truth and put their faith and trust in it. Come Holy Spirit, come dwell within us, lead us to all holiness and truth, come by means of the powerful intersession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary your well beloved spouse. TNRS/BSOH

    1. Amen, sojourner. I have found that we not only NEED the Holy Spirit, HE is y.e.a.r.n.i.n.g. to be called upon in these days. There are spiritual writers who speak of the first two thousands years (more or less) of salvation history being a time when Abba was very active in His communication and deeds with us, His children, as He led us to grow in knowledge of Him, the Covenant He made with us and His Plan for us. Upon the arrival of the Messiah, we entered into a new two thousand year (more or less) segment when Jesus engaged with us in communicating the Will of the Father in all He has said and done. Now, two thousand years (more or less) after Jesus’ arrival to earth, we are about to enter an Epoch of the Holy Spirit aka a Second Pentecost aka a New Springtime aka the fullness of the Coming of God’s Kingdom, aka the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. What a time to be alive!

        1. Yes, Nancy! Amen and Alleluia! Truly, since the fall, God is making all things new.

With my comment, I was referring to anticipating the full flowering of events particular to our times in which God is making all things new. Much understanding can be gleaned from books such as “The Splendor of Creation” by Fr. Joseph Iannuzzi in which he culled gems from the writings of the early Church Fathers, the Church Doctors, and preeminent mystics of the twentieth century. Pope St. John Paul II, too, wrote prophetically about these times. I believe we are moving squarely through the process of what he foretold in 1978 when he visited our country as Cardinal Wojtyla:

“We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has gone through. I do not think that wide circles of American society or wide circles of the Christian community realize this fully. We are now facing the final confrontation between the Church and the anti-Church, of the Gospel versus the anti-Gospel. We must be prepared to undergo great trials in the not-too-distant future; trials that will require us to be ready to give up even our lives, and a total gift of self to Christ and for Christ. Through your prayers and mine, it is possible to alleviate this tribulation, but it is no longer possible to avert it. . . .How many times has the renewal of the Church been brought about in blood! It will not be different this time.”

And when Fr. Longennecker – whose writing I love and constantly follow – so beuatifully closes his piece with this: “Driving home from Easter Mass yesterday I contemplated this further thinking that the last two thousand years have been the steady, constant outworking of the release of this new energy into the world. Despite all the tragedies and triumphs–despite Christians’ failures and the church’s hypocrisies, still that energy surges. Still the power of the resurrection and the power of Pentecost fire flames the world.” I say Amen, again, and acknowledge that according to the writings which I mention, even greater power is yet to unfold via the Holy Spirit’s action in these days. All Glory to God in His Infinite Goodness… for how He has made us new from one generation to another, in the ways He continues to make us new in these days and for what He has in store for us as we strive to walk in His Ways, surrender to His Will and fulfill whatever mission He has entrusted to each of us. God bless us, one and all.

  19. The Hidden Throne of Israel & The Blessed Mother – All Roads Lead to Rome

I believe you will find this article of great interest.  It’s explains the role of the “Queen Mother” during the times of the Kings in Biblical Israel.  It definitely reinforces the teaching of Our Lady as Queen of Heaven and why recitation of the Rosary is so powerful.

Note: As usual my links do not come through in blue. Steve BC can you help me with this problem? For now, if you copy and paste the link into your browser it should take you to the web site.

  20. I highly recommend the Pieta prayer book.

There’s seems to be renewed interest in Charlie’s Storm at spirit daily.com, there seems to be the idea that the conflict between good & evil is just beginning after the 100 year reign of evil will, and that the storm didn’t finish in 2017 but is starting to intensify now…

What is your take on all this Charlie?

    1. Noticed this article as well yesterday, Al. The words of several prophets are mentioned in this piece and each must be discerned. Michael Brown does serious and good work while consistently presenting everything for discernment. Charlie remains steadfast in his words to us that God has a Plan and the details are in His Hands, that we are the ones who have brought on this Storm, that God will draw good from the Storm – just as He has from every storm throughout salvation history, that TNRS is our way to navigate all which we are now living, and that we are walking our Via Dolorosa and it is this Way of the Cross we must traverse as we move towards the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart.

Of course, Charlie speaks for himself; I simply note that despite the two prophetic errors, I continue to see Charlie’s words unfold before us. What Michael Brown quoted from Charlie yesterday is happening in real time before our very eyes:
“From the beginning I had insisted that there would be a rise in wide-scale stark terror as a primary method in this storm. I had written in ’01 that we would see a significant warming in our relations with Russia for a while, followed by them dramatically hitting the rocks again. But I told the priests [who serve as his spiritual directors] to keep their eye on Russia, because in the end she will be our most steadfast and reliable ally. As I have also said since the start, the storm ‘…will break through North Korea, but will not be centered in North Korea.’ That is specific language that has been used with me and you can speculate endlessly about what it means.”

      AND

“In the early years, Jihad will seem the great battle. Certainly, it is the most showy and determined. But it will collapse more quickly and easily than people can imagine – once we understand that it is a battle that we can’t negotiate our way out of. But Jihad is not the most dangerous of the bad actors – it is China. It will take some years for us to see that China is the real center and the real implacable enemy of western civilization. China may already be the most militarily strong nation in the world. It will be the challenge posed by China, once she is fully unmasked, that drives Russia into the west and common cause with America.”

      1. Yes, I’ve been making the same observations Beckita. It seems that both the “Storm” & “Rescue” will be a slow process stretched over a period of time (maybe years). Was it wishful thinking by us that it would all be completely finished in 2017, or is delayed events as a result of God’s mercy?

It seems events are not close to being over by a long shot. As always, it’s human free will & choice that decides our future…

  21. I have volunteered to lead our parish’s participation in the Rosary C2C event on Oct. 7. So far, the Discipleship Coordinator likes the idea, but she wanted to check with Father first. Knowing Father, I am confident he’ll love the idea.

So, no time like the present, right? Has anyone organized a rally like this before and could share some pointers? My parish is right in the middle of the palm of the mitten (Michigan), so we don’t reside on a coast… however, knowing this amazing small German Catholic community (we only have our St. Mary’s Catholic church in town) – we’ll have a fantastic turn out…

In the past, I’ve participated in processions, inside the church, and in front of the statue of Our Lady of Fatima outside in front of the church… anyone have any other tips to consider, other than someone (maybe and likely me) opening with the intention of why its being done and a prayer, and then leading the rosary at 4pm EDT? I will also reach out to Fr. Heilman to see if he has suggestions… thank you in advance! God bless us all!

    1. Bill, I’ve got no pointers for you (organization is not my strong suit); I just wanted to tell you that I drove by your gorgeous church on Saturday after dropping my kids off for a Catholic youth group that meets at The Ark. They need more people (there are only 4 right now, and 2 of them are my kids). If you know any college-aged kids that might be interested, I could pass along the info to you. 🙂
