The Washington Post adopted a new slogan a year ago to coincide with the beginning of the Trump Administration: “Democracy Dies in Darkness.” This last week, ALL the legacy media and the Democrats have rooted for darkness. After the Nunes Memo was released, the legacy media has been relentless in avoiding any discussion of what it contains, instead focusing on how Democrats, and those tainted, corrupt FBI and Dept. of Justice officials it exposes feel about it. The Federalist put up a summary of the most flagrant abuses the memo reveals. To ignore the content of the memo is a terrible mistake on the media’s part. When they fail to give the substance of what everyone is curious about, most people will just use search engines to find the actual text. That will get more people used to going outside the legacy media to find actual factual information – and will reveal to those that do that the media has been lying relentlessly for over a year. In this case, the media is not able to cover for its ideological allies; only capable of taking itself down with them.

This is a HUGE deal – and don’t let anyone tell you different. The feds wanted to spy on the Trump campaign, couldn’t get enough evidence to justify it, so used an opposition research memo, without disclosing to the FISA court that that is what it was in order to do their political spying. Not only that, but the FBI repeated the abuse several times before the FISA Court long after it was publicly clear this was a sham. The highest levels of government bureaucracy have been engaged in a clear coup attempt for the last year. If this stands, the gov’t. needs no evidence whatsoever to investigate and indict anyone. Just take the rants and smears of your worst enemy and it’s off to the races. I knew that former FBI Director James Comey was corrupt, but with his tweet minimizing the gravity of this, I regard him as an absolutely loathesome hypocrite. No wonder we had such corruption at the Bureau with such a self-righteous weasel in charge of it. I am hoping that, over the next few days, some Democratic patriots will rise who say it is NOT okay to spy on Americans without evidence or cause, except pure partisanship. If, unlike many Republicans during the Watergate scandal who stood for country over party, all prominent Democrats just circle the wagons and prevaricate and obfuscate to protect their power, we have a long, ugly road ahead of us. The legacy press has revealed itself as contemptible lickspittles.

I am disgusted by some “Never Trump” conservative commentators whose hate of the man has so unhinged them that now no abuse is so offensive that they won’t dismiss it, provided the abuse is directed at Trump. We have vast swaths of the country who have NO standards of decency or perspective: such archaic ideas are merely weapons in the ideological and partisan toolboxes. No abuse is so great it is not to be excused if wielded against a conservative, Christian or Republican. Now the Mueller probe is threatening with more attacks on “obstruction of justice.” Really. So now in this country, provided it is mounted against Republicans, you can execute a completely bogus investigation based on a pack of partisan lies and, when the whole narrative falls apart because there was no crime at all, you can still stick it to your targets over whatever efforts they mounted to defend themselves. And you want to call this justice? At the same time you’re calling revelations of truly corrupt efforts to mount a bureaucratic coup a threat to national security? If this is not resolved with clarity, then Nancy Pelosi is right – we will have a Constitutional Crisis – and it will be resolved by civil war. This cannot stand. This must not pass with a mere shrug – or America is truly over.

We have not found a smoking gun in these matters; we have found a crate full of smoking guns – and all the left and the legacy media can tell you is to ignore the evidence. I am too angry to write at length about this now, but will re-visit it in the next week. We are in unprecedentedly perilous waters. Democracy dies in darkness, indeed.

I am amazed that in the groups of people I have encountered in the last week, not only were very few people aware of the significance of the FISA memo, most did not seem to know it was even an issue. I share Tucker Carlson’s intro to his show last evening, another succinct presentation on both the content of the memo and the lies being perpetrated because of it.

    1. yes Beckita, this exchange was truely telling. The Dem from CA had his “talking points” and would not answer to one factual question by Tucker. Thank God for Tucker’s show last night. The anti-American Dems showed their colors at the SOTU address. Disgusting. We have a HUGE mess on our hands. President Trump and all the pariots left in D.C. need to clean house and quickly.

    3. That was a terrifying exchange! The congressman from CA is a “true believer” in that he appears willing to do or say anything to wield power. I often wondered how the German people gave themselves over to the evils of the Nazis. This fella would fit in well with a statist regime.

    After having watched Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity last night, and also some of the lying liberal news…and now reading this Charlie, my only hope on a human level is that every single person, especially the leaders of the democratic party, are arrested and sent to prison ASAP if lawfully tried and found guilty of crimes, etc. If only the little guys and underlings pay, and the leaders are left free, they will simply continue to be subversive and infect more people! This will never end and they will see to it!
    Trump has the backbone, the attitude, the right, the responsibility and the power to do what needs doing and he should start at the top!
    But if instead God intervenes- well, then that will be an entirely different story. Either way, this is going to be a struggle. God help us!

    1. I agree with your premise, Snowy. At the same time, I think all those apt descriptors of Trump are exactly what allows him to be patient while supporting the process of unmasking – which has only just begun, concerning the corruption in government and its connection to so many levels of society – and allowing the natural conclusions to be reached within our current system, holding the guilty accountable. If he simply starts at the top and single handedly takes care of these things, he may well look like a dictator of sorts. It seems wiser to clean the system than over-ride it. I actually think this *is* God’s intervention to allow these things to be drawn from the darkness into the light.

      2. Beckita, I didn’t mean him alone, what I meant was he has what it takes to keep the focus and get this done before the cancer grows even more deadly and spreads further! I’m praying they can be stopped in time! They have had so many years of freedom to do their damage, and look at what they have done to not only America but other countries as well and it’s gone on long enough, I think. This disgusts just me beyond what I can handle… had enough of it all.

  4. Boy, Charlie, I’m with you all the way. I see everything the way you do, but you have a gifted way of expressing it. I love your messages. We need to hear from you because we need to support each other in this bizaar situation with our government. It’s scary. People are blinded against the truth. The devil is still alive and well and causing doubts and confusion. We needs the “flame of love of the immaculate heart of Mary” to blind the satan. Let’s keep praying for her triumph.   5. Looks like everyone has got a lot more praying to do…

    I’ve been wondering if everyone is going to have to do a little more than just pray? We need to reveal all these evils one by one for all the world to see, the trouble is how do we get the message out there…

    I confounded a couple trouble makers earlier claiming to be atheists on Pope Francis’ Twitter feed. The poor Pope gets a lot of hate tweets, after he tweets his messages of love, peace, & respect. If we can, we should fight back evil with the light of truth and send them packing wherever & whenever we find it in society.

  6. I am studying all documents and trustworthy articles in order to arm myself against the fight that I know is coming ( with some of my loved ones). I’m not good at articulating myself and I feel like this is the test of a lifetime. I want to be ready. To add to the political mess, my heart is broken over Pope Francis’s request to the faithful Bishops in China to step back. Charlie, can you address this as well, please and thanks?

    2. I think you’re doing the right thing, Kris. It’s important to know as much of the facts as possible – it’s sort of like training in advance for a contest. Don’t be too afraid of not being articulate, though. I’ve found that so many of the other side are not prepared at all! They’re so confident that they’re right (because all the “right” people say so) that they don’t bother to do the basics. Once they’ve run out of their “talking points”, like that pathetic Dem, or their ill-digested “Wiki history” when attacking the Church, they’re completely stranded. Then, quite often, the abuse will begin. If they don’t start with it from the beginning, that is!

      Being calm and patient, walking away when necessary, is very hard. But if you’re well prepared you’ll know when to beat a “tactical” retreat, and it helps you to avoid getting confused yourself, which can too often lead into panic and descending into an undignified slanging match.

To atone for overwhelming sin, I read in an e-group I have the privilege of belonging that after receiving Holy Communion, we can pray that for every beat of our heart, the good Almighty Father look mercifully at an unrepentant sinner through the benevolence and sacrificial love of His Son Whom we have just received. The focus is on the sacrifice of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, not on the sinful vessel that we are.

    3. Gemmas story Beckita, is much like the revelations Our Lady told to Mary of Agreda. She tells how God would carefully prepare her beforehand to ready her for the trial. The demons would come to tempt her with similar temptations they tempted Gemma with but, because of her perfection and peace and pure trust and focus on God, these “temptations” backfired on the demons instead who would then turn on one another and retreat to hell in humiliation and great pain.
      Charlie made a critical statement about demonic tempters using the “crack” in our armor by using the things that are near and dear to us..
      Our Lady, being so pure and humble in her trust, dedication and focus on God’s will, gave the enemy nothing to cling too, his talons finding no cracks to pierce through the Teflon of her soul.
      Gemma, though tempted, never gave in to temptation and therefore became the “jinx” the excorsist said the demon called her.
      The understanding of suffering to those in such a high holy state is very mysterious but the effects it has on the lives of those who are devoted to or watched over by the holy ones of God sheds real light on the importance and effectiveness it has for souls other than their own.

      1. Amen, Phillip. The gems of suffering are mighty jewels in the Treasury of Grace. While I don’t look forward to the intensity of suffering yet to come for us all, it will be an honor to offer that, too, for the conversion of those who struggle to repent and surrender to God.

  12. We’re up against a whole system of evil. There’s the cabal, the globalists that we know of, but the more hidden is the evil down the street in our neighbourhoods. Everyone heard of the Smithsonian? This organization has been on a mission for the past 100 years to destroy the remains of giants and any other evidence that challenges Darwinian evolution; they’ve been evangelizing the youth with evolution to destroy people’s faith in God, the worst part is it’s just one big pack of lies. Lots of artifacts & ruins have been found over the years that defy explanation, so are classified as forbidden archaeology or opparts, anything that shows there was a worldwide flood & pre-flood civilization is taboo.

    We’re up against a whole paradigm of untruths that wish to hide the light. Democrats & Liberals champion minority’s because it’s a good divide & conquer strategy, so they can pass their culture of death policies unchallenged. How do we fix a badly fragmented society?

    1. I had a colleague who was an associate professor in Bolder who lost tenure because of his “fresh” ideas that did not fit the Darwinian mantra. He was ostracized from the community at large but continued to publish his research as a privately funded PhD evolutionist.
      Most interesting is his brother is a curator at the Smithsonian! (Brother against brother, Matt 10:21).
      My friend did not fall prey to the globalist agenda as he is a free thinking, intelligent person (allbiet an atheist) but he let the facts be what they are in his research. Interestingly enough Al, Darwinists are not the only scientists publishing their views in the world court, in the West yes, but as a whole, it isn’t even the most accepted form of evolution. Seem ID (intelligent design) is still a favorite globally accept theory but this theory is a nod towards aliens and not God as we Christians know Him. Still, they do recognize truth when they see it even if they cannot rectify it to their atheistic world-views. In the end it may just be, for some of them, their salvation.

      2. Intelligent design is at least not as biased against God as Darwinism is. Still, I make it my business to know a little of everything, so that I won’t be surprised by current ideas. I do like creationists viewpoints that allow for biblical events.

        An atheist’s sole purpose is to deny God, when we understand this motivation, we understand they cannot be reasoned with; they will accuse-deny accuse-deny in hope they can destroy other people’s faith in God.

        1. “I do like creationists viewpoints that allow for biblical events.” Al, a while back via a social media link from another source, I found this scientific minded young man. His name is Jordan. He is a self-professed non-believer, that tends to sound a bit new-age like at times. In this, the video that I watched from the link I had been given, he does a good job of explaining biblical events from a scientific perspective. From a religious/biblical perspective, it ties in with the coming of a new age, astrology, days of darkness and even higher consciousness/illumination. He closes out the video by saying we need live a life of love and service toward each other. 😉

    2. How to fix it? The ONLY way out that I can see is:

      1. ACKNOWLEDGE GOD Engage in the work of ever-deepening our relationship, connection to Him, in all the ordinary ways encouraged and provided by the Church: prayer, fasting – some evil can only be driven out with fasting, sacrificing via self-denial, offering ordinary suffering, confession – and not simply ridding ourselves of sin but intentionally reaching for the virtue opposite of the sin, lectio divina, bible studies, praying those particular prayers given to us by Heaven for these times, such as – but not exclusively – the Rosary, Flame of Love prayers which blind the devil, the Lady of All Nations Prayer, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament… all of this contributes to the goal of honing the skill to hear God in His unending ways of whispering to us as He leads, guides, directs, shapes and forms us in all our ways. (And it’s foolish to try to newly do all these things all at once. The Chinese say you cannot eat a steamed bun in one bite. So we can focus on one part; when readily integrated into our lifestyle, choose another gem to practice and make permanent, etc.)

      2. TAKE THE NEXT RIGHT STEP God takes note of even every baby step; Charlie so often names this “the prayer of doing” and each step – even the messy or misguided ones, offered to the best of our limited ability, become gold in the Hands of the Lord. His Word is true: “And we know that ALL things REALLY work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)

      3. BE A SIGN OF HOPE TO THOSE AROUND YOU Acting in faithfulness to Number 1 and 2, God WILL make of us a shining beam of His Hope to those around us.

      Is it easy? Heck no! Can we do it? Yes we can. Is it worth it? Absolutely. Is it really a way forward? Most certainly.

      Thank you, General Sherpa, for stirring up the troops and heartening us in all the ways you have. Because of your FIAT, we are here with each other… walking in the current darkness with Christ’s Light of Hope enduring. In solidarity, we can hold each other up. We don’t have to be paralyzed by our anger, fear, discouragement or any other human emotion. (edit: Of course emotions can be so hard and intense that we need a time out to regroup and recover in order to carry on.) Together, we really can do this. We can. Because God’s got this and He’s got us and we’ve got Him with all the special patrons of this mission and message.

        1. Ha, Sean! In all my trips to China most of the time has been spent in Shandong Province. My favorite meals might just have been breakfast because of the delightful steamed buns, dumplings, and all manner of ways in preparing bread. Northern China is wheat country. Long before the Italians “invented” spaghetti, the northern-living Chinese were eating it. Rice is available on demand but not at all favored as it is in the south of the country.

    I remember your post “fake news on stilts” and you were so passionate as all of us expecting the coup to happen immediately so as to prevent the presidential inauguration. We all knew what John Mccain and obama were upto with the russian meddling and expulsions. Stelle’s dossier was so fake and i wouldnt be suprised if they deliberately leaked it or got him to do so.

    Charlie if obama is arrested eventually or there is irrefutable evidence against him i got to give it to you:) for whaever reasons they backed out of an immediate coup or it was meant to happen this slow drawn out way i believe the undercurrent elements are just too much to dismiss.

    I know we are not a cult and we kind of us all saw the world in the current form as hopeless unless God interverned and far from leading disapointed people away from God you and we all hung in here for God as the ultimate sign of hope. The 100 years of satan rule is up! The antigod lefts gig is up and God is unstoppable in his mission.

    I am fed up debating my non christian friends who support their fundamentalist party who keep committing crimes on christians and other religions and want to basically reverse every thing the british or christian missionaries did back in their home countries but proclaim the western world has never been judo christian even though statistics and history show this and say they enjoy the benefits of secularism after migrating and why atheism is good and christisnity has no place in today’s world and must be attacked vigorously and bible is so fake 6000 years etc compared to neo Darwinism.They keep citing richard dawkins as their saviour who shows why religion is the cause of all evil in the world and there is a scientific term for all this hope we believe in and it is termed “negative bias”.

    Suprisingly when i did research their saviour when often pressed with important questions on the human genome and his theores he admits he doesnt know and to give it time like another 1000 or so years:) . By the way its ok for them to say honestly they migrated from xxx countries because of the corruption and population but they are quick to attack trump when he said it behind closed doors to trusted members.

    Now we have jay z, merly streep, eminem, u2, almost all of holywood and musicans along with main stream media attacking a president who has done so much in 1 year and who proclaimed on christmas day “God became small and entered the world as Jesus as our saviour”. EVERYONE (or at least most people) on various online forums (where you can actually get an honest poll and insight on the matter) thinks the Left has, once again, broken a host of laws in their unending quest for raw power. People are getting sick of it. Sick of being lied to. Sick of being victimized. Sick of the double-standard. This kind of crap, even when it was less obvious than it is today, is why Trump won.

    You can try to overthrow the President of the United States as a liberal and get away scot-free (and steal classified, and delete classified information, and destroy federal evidence, etc. etc. and so much more). But oh, you don’t want to back that cake for that same-sex couple (who went out of their way to offend you)? Pay up, bigot.

    Lord have mercy. The corruption of the Left and most of the Main Stream Media is totally out of hand. Totally. Every time you think it can’t get worse, it does. They’ve doubled down so many times that just when you think they can’t get any lower, they go subterranean. It’s deeply troubling.

    It’s like…think back to when Romney and Obama were running in 2012. What if we found out Romney hired a foreign spy (who openly stated he hated Obama) to go to Russia dig up dirt on Obama?

    What if we found out Romeny’s campaign paid $160,000 to said spy, then had the spy leak that dirt (illegally) in the form of a dossier to the press?

    What if we found out Romney then had that foreign national spy use the news coverage of his leak to help the FBI/DOJ get a wire-tapping warrant against Obama?

    What if the FBI/DOJ knew the dossier was a bunch of baloney but in turn decided to omit certain information and LIE to a federal judge about said dossier so they could spy on Obama before the election?

    What if the Romney campaign then accused Obama of colluding with Russia and tried to have him impeached/take out of office?

    Yeah, the whole Left/Media would lose their minds. It’d be the story of the century. They’d make movies about it. It would be the end of the Republican Party (and probably much of the FBI and DOJ) as we know it. Why? Because you’d have and FBI/DOJ and a major political party willing to lie about their enemies to ruin their lives and accuse them of crimes they didn’t commit. Just think about that.     Flip the script and have Obama (A SITTING PRESIDENT) do all those thing to Trump (after oh-so-condescendingly sneering “How can you even rig an election?) via the Clinton Campaign and you get….crickets. Or no, you get worse than crickets. You get a bunch of “Oh, it’s nothing!”, “That’s it!?”, “This is all a conspiracy theory!”, and “This is just Trump deflecting from his Russia collusion.”

    Lastly, all this comes to light after Trump gives a solid State of the Union where even the corrupt, lying, partisan MSM said 75% of Americans liked the speech. These people will never learn. Or rather, they’ll learn the way you said they would in a previous article- after they see their unrepentant ways lead to swift, violent opposition.

    I think we’re getting closer and closer to No More Mr. Nice Guy Trump. There’s only so much abuse you can stomach before you have to defend yourself. The breaking point is near. The Left has shown they do not care about anything but power. Raw power.

    Your anger is righteous and understandable. I also have felt it flare up. My husband feels confident that Trump and those around him have the situation well under control, they know which cards they are going to play and when, and that we need to be patient and let them play those cards. Personally I feel that’s giving a little too much credit to human efforts, but we shall see. I know everyone here is praying for a positive outcome for our nation.
    I do believe that there are patriots on the side of the Democrats but that their voices are not being heard with all the screeching of the corrupt. In my effort to educate myself in all these issues, part of my research led me to the site Disobedient Media, which is run by Elizabeth Beck. She and her husband are attorneys who have filed a class action lawsuit against the DNC for what they did in the primaries, making sure that HRC was their candidate and dissing Bernie Sanders. Notice how that story got swept under the rug. Meanwhile Beck and her husband claim to have had their home ransacked and other strange things happen to them. She has done a lot of digging and has some interesting stories on her site. Also, there are certainly many other patriots on Twitter putting out a lot of good information and connecting many dots as to how this all relates to Obama’s Iran “deal,” Hezbollah, ISIS, Clinton Foundation, Haiti, Seth Rich, the WikiLeaks emails, Guccifer 2.0, etc. etc. This memo is only the tip of a very large and filthy iceberg as I think we all suspect. One of my favorite investigators is Tracy Beanz, who has a YouTube channel and many excellent videos. She is outstanding as well as upstanding and has done amazing research and says “We ARE the media.” The media has shirked their sacred responsibility and it is now up to We the People to hold the corrupt accountable and spread truthful information.
    I apologize, I know that the moderators may not publish this because it contains information about sites and people that are unverified but even if just Charlie and Beckita see it, that’s okay too. I do feel strongly that we just cannot rely on the media to inform us anymore. Fox News does a decent job but so many people will not even listen because they’re convinced that Fox is too partisan, and Fox is hindered by needing advertisers, profits, etc.
    I am praying and hoping to trust in God alone with all my heart. Thanks be to God that we are here in these times. Is truly astounding to watch these events unfold. Thank God that we all have each other. Thank you for your ministry to us.

They each have their own small piece of the bigger picture and I enjoy listening to them too.   21. Actually, shortly after the election there was more than a little talk of assassination of Trump and Pence. If there is a murderous heart, surely illegality is a minor step to take to achieve your goal.
    I think the rhetoric rings like the pre-civil war South newspapers and even those in Rwanda prior to the massacre.

    1. For what it’s worth, Bob, I thought the eclipse image a fine metaphor for the current darkness. Just as light in the eclipse can be perceived, the Light of Christ can never be extinguished in this darkness. As we continue to TNRS, choosing Him and beaming His Light in us to others, the darkness will fade while His Light and Love reign.

  23. I’m outraged too, Charlie. This has been building in me for decades. As I read your post it was as if I was shouting your words in my mind, every sentence with a furious exclamation point.

    The Dems are in deep kimchi and it’s getting deeper and deeper and deeper (and it stinks). Since they are digging their heels into their own muck, clutching onto the darkness they worship, spreading lies upon moronic lies out of desperation, they (I predict), having backed themselves into a corner, are soon going to go ballistic (yes, even more unhinged, nuts, wild, bonkers, insane, and berserk than we’ve seen to date). This is bad news for all the rest of us. The Dems are in a downward spiral and with their filthy claws will recklessly and without hesitation take the rest of us, U.S., down with them….unless something can change this course.

    How they will attack, I cannot say. They may sabotage something like the economy, or ignite violence with their pawns like Antifa. We can most certainly count on the willing help of their surrogates in the media to pour on the fuel and fan the flames.

    Hope I’m way off base. I pray that this be stopped, but it may be necessary for our country’s renewal. God’s will be done.

    1. Mary’s Ark…reminded me that a couple of weeks ago, I walked down to the beach (I’m snowbirding in the US from Canada). It had rained a bit and when I got to the beach, there was a beautiful rainbow. I took some pictures and thought of rainbow in French, which is “arc en ciel”. I immediately thought of Mary’s Ark. This lasted maybe 5 minutes, then I turned to the right and saw very dark clouds and the wind picking up. It didn’t take long for the darkness to overshadow the rainbow. There was a real line in the sky dividing the sunny side with the rainbow, and the stormy side. Very strange. I felt peaceful knowing that Mary’s Ark is my safe space. Lord, have mercy on all of us…your children.

    Last evening I wanted to add a comment but could never get my thoughts organized [under Blue Blood Moon article]. Finally gave up. Figured God wanted me to wait, so I went to bed.

    Today I open up “Rooting for the Darkness”. You, Charlie, have clearly laid out the troubles we face as a nation. Tough times ahead if we are to remain united and free. I think we have not seen the depth of this evil. Like a vicious, wounded beast, it becomes more violent and unpredictable. I think you said it earlier, this is not a case of dislike, it’s gut twisting hate.

    But, as you know, God has His Plan, and we are to participate. I want to share a remarkable book with you folks. “In Sinu Jesu” by a Benedictine monk [anonymous]; a journal of a priest at prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. This priest has been led by Christ to enter into profound adoration for the purification and sanctification of priests. Christ is restoring and renewal of the Church, starting with His priests. “and He will purify the sons of Levi…” Malachi 3:3. This impacts religious and laity and all humanity. We will not overcome this evil, God will. When we humbly adore Him, God comes to us wrapped in our praise and thanksgiving.

    Have courage and confidence in the dark days ahead. Adore our God. Think of the Cross. When all seemed lost, victory was ours, in the Lord. “By Your Precious Blood,O Jesus, purify and sanctify Your priests.” [One could certainly pray this for others, as well].

    I bought this book through Amazon but after reading some of the comments about Amazon’s practices, one can purchase it through http://www.angelicopress.com [cheaper than Amazon, and tells more about the book, too]. I wanted to print two prayers from the book for you but I think I must contact them for permission . I will check.

    1. I agree with you Judith. It’s a very beautiful book. I read it last year and have been thinking about sending copies to some of my priest friends. I love these words from the anonymous monk author in the Introduction: “With a grateful and expectant heart, I gladly give this journal into the hands of all those readers whom Our Lord and Our Lady have already chosen for it, with my prayer that it shall bear abundant fruit, and with my priestly blessing.”

  27. Question: when do the defamation charges get brought against the media outlets who have been knowingly propagating one falsehood after another? I just watched an MSNBC clip of a guy saying dozens of instances of Russian collusion have been proven and there have been 2 or 3 convictions of Trump campaign workers. All COMPLETELY made up, and the speaker had to know it. When do defamation and slander charges get brought?

  28. There is another scientific (psychology) term Josh called “magical thinking.
    This term describes how much of the present generation goes about “believing” that they will get what they want dispite the reality that they need to put in an effort to actually “earn” these things for themselves. It has created a giant mess because the main reason they think this way is because they were raised with a lack of “accountability”. Parents have shielded children with any lack of talent, self control or personal deficiencies with a buffer of “protection” thereby “enabling” them to become “nothing” (nones sounds similar here doesn’t it?) but still rewarding them with the same rewards those with true talent actually earn.
    Obama is a prime example of this nonsense since he is a person with literally no credentials or accomplishments of his own who with no real justification for the position is elected the POTUS and then given the Nobel Peace Prize for doing absolutely nothing! This is like being given a degree just because you signed up for classes!
    This lack of accountability has led us into the “nanny” state we are in and to the point of this article. That the lack of accountability for wrongdoing or omission has opened the door for unlimited corruption, and not only in government but in every individuals life either by corroboration or effect.

    1. Hear, hear! All the “I identify as X therefore I am X” is the same magic unicorn “thinking”. And one is instantly a “hater” if one ever so gently tries to point to reality.

      It’s this instant reaching for the “H-bomb” that’s the most depressing thing about it all, for me. Apart from the absolute debasement of the language that it represents, it’s also a debasement of the individuals themselves, in that it’s a willful abandoning of our God-given faculties of logic and reasoning and a descent into selfish, undignified, childish tantrum-throwing.

      But now we have those who vaunt themselves as the “adults” not only indulging in but also encouraging this sort of thing, while still preening their superiority. Truly, in my countryman’s words: “Things fall apart, the centre cannot hold… the best lack all conviction, the worst are full of passionate intensity”.

  31. A powerful darkness will be powerful as long as no light is shed upon it. All I can ask of my fellow Christians is to keep praying. We all know the truth, We all believe that Light overcomes dark. We all have been given the means to fight this with reading Scripture, daily mass, confession, Rosaries, visits to the Blessed Sacrament, Novena’s, fasting, the list goes on and on as to what we have been given to do. It has to be constant, constant, constant, no time for rest. There are days I wake up and put on my armor and get ready to fight heartily and then by the end of the day I am worn out and have to ask for strength to get through another day. The attacks on my family are relentless. The efforts the satan threatens with to get us to stop are foolhardy on his part because he just doesn’t get it. I’ve heard it said that he knows his days are numbered that is why he is flailing about like a fish out of water, but I say he is just stupid. Because God’s Glory, Power, Might and Goodness are so blindingly bright and His Mercy is what will save us and He is a Mighty God and satan is weak and insipidly shallow and we are all waiting for the Immaculate Heart of Mary to crush is proud head. I’m done being anything but a soldier for Christ. I stand on that Rock. I fight the good fight with boldness because I am convinced the my God is an Awesome God. Do not give up your prayer to annihilate the darkness. This is our fight as with St. Paul in Ephesians Chapter 6. You know this do this.

    Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.

    2. You are right about putting on the full armor of God.. It seems that from day to day, I run into more physical problems due to the body aging.. Nothing fatal just annoying.. Cataracts to be removed, not covered by insurance. Had to have a tooth pulled, was going to have an implant. very expensive, but then after having the tooth pulled and bone built up, I was told I probably should of had a sinus lift, and probably not a candidate for this process.. Actually, I do believe the Good Lord was looking out for me.
      If I had gone through with the Implant and then found our about Cataracts impairing my night vision, I would have really been in a bind..
      Today the news is about the stock market taking a big fall. Charlie did speak about this happening in 2017, the timing was off, but this does not look good.. Stocks are really falling… I am not in the stock market, but if this happens. our money will not be worth anything. Of course they are saying, this is just a correction..
      Trusting in the Good Lord and waiting for Our Mother Mary’s intervention.
      Let us all pray for one another.

    3. Diane, the devils are not “stupid” it is their very nature to pursue things the way they do and they can never stop. They are “fused” in this thinking/behavior and will be so for all eternity.
      Our Lady told St Mary of Agreda this when she wondered why the demons were so relentless even though they suffered great pain and humiliation.
      Our Lady told her that they will never stop, that thier nature of hatred, evil and revenge was fixed in them and that dispite them knowing it is in vain, they cannot help themselves. It is a great mystery to us who can still change our minds and learn from our mistakes that these even more intelligent and powerful angelic beings are “stuck in a rut” so to speak. But it is a great lesson for us to contemplate as we too, once we are judged, can become fused in this way if we go to hell. We can see our potential fate in them and by the revelation of thier great suffering and deficiency, we can understand a little about this terrible condition and hopefully, avoid it.

Sadly we can see in our own world even among humans that some are so “stuck” in their hatred, malice, and desire for revenge that, apart from major Divine Intervention, there doesn’t seem much hope for them. And in our world with it’s polarization, we know that, apart from God’s intervention, even with Trump and others, we have little hope. So as St. Paul recommends us, let’s make sure we take time to focus on where Jesus is seated in Heavenly places.

Charlie… what’s happening with the stock market reminds me of something you said awhile back.. you said it would crash on a Friday and then on Monday, it would crash even more and then by the following Friday it would really really crash… I don’t know if this is “it” but I sure remember you saying it.. Glad I don’t have any stock…have a feeling we will have a whole lotta not’n but God here soon! TNRS

    1. Hi Linda. I believe what Charlie was getting at was that the crash would hit with striking speed. To paraphrase off the top of my bald head: after a big downturn, they (government officials, the news) would be reassuring us on Monday that things had stabilized, but we’d be in figurative ashes by Friday. I don’t believe he was saying those specific days were when events would occur but rather as an example of how remarkably fast things would fall apart. But that’s not to say it won’t happen as you described it!

      I don’t invest in the markets either, so that’s one less thing to get stressed about.

  36. I was praying the Joyful Mysteries today, & the meditations took me down memory lane…

    I the further back in time my memories went, the happier the memories were, and in a lot of those memories we were poor & struggling (when I was a child), but there was lots of love. It’s strange how a shared struggle bought people closer together, and promoted selfless acts of charity for loved ones. I wonder if society is going need to “hit rock bottom” before it comes back to it’s senses; was holy poverty replaced with a easy life of comfort? How society has fallen, to have gained so much in technological wealth and yet be so bankrupt in the Lord our God.

    I once asked a coworker why he had to play his music all the time (it was loud & annoying lyrics), didn’t he enjoy quiet time? He said he didn’t like the quiet because it made him think… It’s a strange world we live in, I can never get enough quiet time… What’s wrong with thinking?

    Personally, I’d rather blend in with the surroundings & mind my own business, but evil needs be fought back if my children are going to have a fair future…

  39. I was out yesterday shoveling a couple of inches of fluffy white–in the silence. I have come to appreciate silence more because of the babble of chaos and discord that is all over the news. I can’t even take it when talk is “fair and balanced” anymore.
    That being said, the cardinals are back and they sound beautiful. There is hope of spring. My mind goes to planting things and repairing this poor house…and God will take care of the things I can’t 🙂 .

            Ha! I like two kinds of potato chips: Lays Sour Crème and Onion – and Lays Classic. My son, on the other hand, loves weird potato chips. Once when I was visiting I was at the store and picked up a bag of chips. Then I realized that Chaz would be upset if I didn’t think of him, too. But we have such wildly different tastes. So I looked and found what I considered the single most disgusting inedible variety of chips I could find and got it for him. When he got home he thanked me – and asked me how I knew those were his favorites. I laughed and told him…and he laughed. So I guess I can’t begrudge you being a heathen: I sired one. (Although he does NOT put ketchup on a hot dog or pineapple on a pizza…so you are not out of the woods just yet.)

That you are a hot dog purist tells me there are some truly noble traits in your genetic background. (The proper way to eat pizza is with Italian Sausage. If you are getting sassy, you can add peperoni. Alas, the poor quality of crusts, sauce, and cheese outside of the Chicago and New York areas mean you are only getting cheesy breads masquerading as pizza – and in such cases, I sometimes load up to make the cheesy bread, which is NOT pizza, a bit more palatable.)

                  I LOVE Italian sausage pizza- that’s my favorite (with onion, mushroom and maybe green olive or peppers if I want that flavor!) I agree 100% about the crust and sauce! I simply make my own and I make good dang pizza- EVEN if you wouldn’t eat it! You are such a Food Barbarian!

                  1. Yum BD- just about anything cooked over an open fire is good! I’ve made hash with spam and fried it all in a cast iron pan on the wood stove-YUM! Tastes like ham on a pizza and it’s good with pineapple.
                    We could all go on and on about SPAM SPAM SPAM if we want to torture Charlie- he hates it 🤭 haha!

  44. I was thinking of a recent Bible study we had on the Book of Revelation. Jeff Cavens commented on how as John was shown the things which must come, these revelations were interspersed with John being shown visions of heavenly, worship, visions of the Glory of Heaven, etc. In like manner, methinks that the lesson for us here is that when we hear of wars and rumors of wars, disasters, etc. we also should frequently, as much as we are able, turn our hearts to heaven, in prayer and consider the Glory of God and contemplate how God may be seeing things from the eyes of heaven. This should serve as an encouragement to us that God is in control and that, despite appearances, “all is not lost” but hope in God is trustworthy.

  45. What is democracy? What is demacracy supposed to stand for? When a group of similar people come together and decide on a set of rules, laws, & standards for the good of all? What happens when those elected to represent the people betray the people? Why do Liberals like ethnic diversity? Why is ethnic diversity used as a weapon against the followers of Christ? Minority this and minority that are just another way of saying “you don’t matter, we will do our will, not your will…”. Is is any wonder why Liberals love ethnic diversity? It’s the perfect divide and conquer strategy… What is a vote? If the rulers no longer serve the people, a vote is just a symbolic token that keeps a tyrant in power… At least for now there’s Trump, but how long will it last…?

    O dear Lord is it time to smash that Nebuchadnezzar statue yet…?

      The modern era mirrors the old (Babylon, Persian, Greek, & Roman) in a way, why? I don’t know… A Spanish head of gold, a French chest of silver, a British torso of bronze, and a American legs of iron… What does it all mean? I certainly can’t say, but it’s a interesting observation…

      The exact definition of a democracy caught my eye as I recall what the occupy wall street, anarchists etc have repeatedly shouted “this is what a democracy looks like”.

      Democracy- Rule by the omnipotent majority. In a democracy, an individual, and any group of individuals composing any minority, have no protection against the unlimited power of the majority. It is a case of Majority-over-Man.

      Republic- A republic is similar to a representative democracy except it has a written constitution of basic rights that protect the minority from being completely unrepresented or overridden by the majority.

      Constraint on government:
      Democracy- No; the majority can impose its will on the minority.
      Republic- Yes; the majority cannot take away certain inalienable rights

      1. Thanks for explaining the difference, I do generalize a little too much sometimes. If America goes down to the globalists, we’re all doomed to a worse scenario, those of us in Canada that understand this, are doing everything we can to cheer you guys & Trump on… You guys are our only hope right now for breaking free of the globalists ourselves… We share a lot of the same threats from the globalists, but as you mentioned there are some differences…

        To clarify where I was going before, it seem like the minorities are being used as the weapon of choice to oppress & break the majority into submission.

      Our Lady at Fatima told the children there would be another war “if men do not stop offending God”.
      This is the trick.
      It wasn’t because of this or that political move, it was because men kept offending God which held back His restraining hand.
      We weren’t causing a mess,-WE are a mess! But God helps His children to live the abundant life. But if we say no to Him, remove Him from our ways and thoughts, He isn’t able to stem the tide of humankinds disastrous ways which is the ONLY real reason things go well for us because through Him “all good things come”.
      We cannot vote our way, govern our way or rule our way into prosperity, it comes from above…period.
      Once we realise this mystery (which we probably won’t ever fully understand here on earth) we will have nirvana.
      Right now we are fighting against our very peace, tranquility and happiness by believing somehow it comes through us. But we need grace, the power from on high, which is the key ingredient to bind the mix.
      Communism has all the ingredients for nirvana accept that main one…God. That’s why it doesn’t work. They believe man can do it alone.
      But we are relentless and stupid (like the devils) so we make the same mistakes over and over dispite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

      Charlie once wrote (paraphrase): The change needed in these times is a ballad of the ordinary man. Here’s an inspired rendition of that very thought which reflects God working in His ordinary people. May the Fires of God’s Justice and Mercy burn ever brightly in our prayers and deeds.

    5. We used to have kings of such faith that they would perform exorcisms. They operated under “The divine Right of Kings” — that Kings have a special bond both with the land and with God. It was such that if the King operated in sin, then the land also became unhealthy. (check out the Old Testament for numerous examples.) The actions of the King were reflected in the Land. The bond with God was such that they were to be the instrument of God’s Will (both punishment AND blessing) upon the king’s subjects.

      The problem is that the kings viewed this “Divine Right” as flowing only one way — from the king to the people. When kings started interpreting “Divine Right” NOT as the King acting as God wanted, but rather God wanted what the King wanted, then the people suffered. When the Kings ignored the fact that the subjects not only owe fealty to the King but also to God, and God is the ranking royalty, then their subjects couldn’t expect the King to present their needs and petitions to God, as the laws of fealty required. When you have royalty rejecting the leadership and declaring independence from God’s Holy Roman Catholic Church, then the subjects cannot help but try to lead their own lives divorced from royalty.

      As with royalty and the Divine Rights of Kings, democracy works when all (and I mean ALL) members of the body politic recognize their roles and responsibilities (and yes, swear their fealty) to God. America worked because this loyalty was expected by both the leaders and the followers. It falters when, like today, the leaders and followers reject the leadership of God and refuse to swear fealty to Him.

    6. It can be helpful to look at the roots of the words we use. Democracy comes from “demos” and “crater”. Demos means “people” but can in its darker form mean “mob,” so democracy is either “people power” or “mob power.” Autocracy means self-power and is applied to tyranny.

      What we want is words ending in “-nomy” which means “rule.” Autonomy means self-rule. Next step up would be a word I made up, which is “pneumonomy” which means rule by the spirit. The highest would be something I don’t know how to say in Greek, “DivineWillonomy” which literally means rule by the Divine Will.

I understand they prayed together and had Bible study and a few that were not baptized, came to believe and were baptized… Is it any wonder they won the Super Bowel. They were filled with the HOLY SPIRIT.. PRAISE GOD. Are there any fans out there..

      I recently stopped receiving a daily prayer reflection in my Comcast emails and wrote the ministry to inquire about this. Over a year ago their site was attacked by a DDoS (Denial-of-service) attack. This is what they responded:
