Rather than just link to it, I sent him a note asking permission to reprint it in its entirety…and yes, I disclosed to him that I am THAT Charlie Johnston. To my delight, he quickly and graciously granted permission. I have been a fan of Fr. Heilman for several years now. Well known is St. John Bosco’s “dream of the two columns” where he foresaw the future difficulties of the Church, envisioned as a ship on stormy seas. Several popes strive to moor the Church and anchor it between two columns which arose amid the dangerous waters. The columns symbolized the two devotions to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and to Mary Immaculate, the Help of Christians. Calm and peace for the Church is won only when one of the popes finally succeeds in anchoring the Church between the two columns.

Another St. John Bosco dream/prophecy is less-known, which can shed light on interpreting the dream of the two columns.

The dream/prophecy ends as follows:

“There shall yet come a violent hurricane. Iniquity is at an end, sin shall cease, and before two full moons shall have shone in the month of flowers, the rainbow of peace shall appear on earth … Throughout the world a sun so bright shall shine as never seen since the flames of the Cenacle until today, nor shall it be seen again until the end of time.”

Here’s an interesting insight that will blow you away …

This year, there is a rare occurrence of two full moons in the same month … two of these in the same year. When this happens, in any month, the second full moon, in that month, is referred to as a “blue moon.”

Get this …

On January 31, 2018, a super rare event will occur. This will be a “Super, Blue, Blood Moon.” “Super” because the moon is near to the earth. “Blue” because it is the second in a month. “Blood” because it will also be a lunar eclipse.

Okay, that’s pretty cool. But here’s the kicker. January 31 is the Feast of St. John Bosco. Is God highlighting St. John Bosco?

Wait, it gets better.

Remember that I said there are two Blue Moon events in one year? Want to know when the second one is?

The second Blue Moon will occur in March, which contains the first day of Spring … you know, Spring … when flowers begin to bloom … “and before two full moons shall have shone in the month of flowers.” -St. John Bosco.

There’s more!

The Blue Moon in March occurs on March 31. What’s significant of that date? It coincides with Holy Saturday, which commemorates Our Lord’s descent into Hades and the Harrowing of Hell.

Wait, there’s still more!

Only now have I made all of these connections, concluding with this … March 31 is DAY 90 OF NINEVEH 90 FOR LIFE!!  THE DAY WE ALL MAKE OUR MARIAN CONSECRATION!! WOW!!!

Believe it or not, there is one last thing. St. John Bosco’s dream about the two moons in the month of flowers came to him on the Vigil of the Epiphany. Well …. that was the same time I made all of these connections … the same time I had an EPIPHANY!

“Pay Attention to St. John Bosco” -God

I believe the Super Blue Blood Moon on the Feast of St. John Bosco is God trying to get our attention that there is something God wants us to notice, related to St. John Bosco.

Historic Light Being Shone

After 100 years of Satan’s unbinding, as prophesied by Pope Leo XIII, we are now seeing an “historic light” being shown on evil, that had been, up until now, allowed to move unabated, and is now being radically called into question.

Even Pope Benedict held that this 100 years, most likely, began with Our Lady of Fatima’s warning in 1917 and would conclude in 2017, as he said this in 2010 …

“May the seven years which separate us from the centenary of the apparitions hasten the fulfillment of the prophecy of the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, to the glory of the Most Holy Trinity“. (Homily of His Holiness Benedict XVI, Esplanade of the Shrine of Our Lady of Fátima Thursday, 13 May 2010)

It is more than interesting that the volcano of exposés (historic light) erupted with Harvey Weinstein on October 5, 2017. This was just two days before the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary (and the conclusion of the 54 day Novena for Our Nation), and just nine days (a novena of days) before the 100th anniversary of the Miracle of the Sun in Fatima. Also note, these exposés erupted only 13 days after the September 23, 2017 Revelation 12 sign.

Now, Hollywood – Yes! Hollywood! – is standing against the sexualization and objectification of women! WOW!

Add to this the exposés (historic light) on corruption and collusion occurring within the ruling class; the cultural elites of politics and media. This “swamp” is being drained at an alarming rate. Please watch this speech: HERE. Judge Louis D. Brandeis is often quoted in situations such as this: “Publicity is justly commended as a remedy for social and industrial diseases. Sunlight is said to be the best of disinfectants.”

I believe this “historic light” is what St. John Bosco’s dream is pointing to when he wrote, “…a sun so bright shall shine as never seen since the flames of the Cenacle until today.”

Consider how far we have fallen into paganism in our times. Consider the worst genocide – abortion – in all of human history. Consider marriage redefined for the first time in all of civilization. Consider the “normalization” of corruption and collusion for gaining political power. All of these, and more, are being exposed as the horror that they are, just in the past few months, since the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary.

Epic Battle

Recall that I eluded to the September 23, 2017 Revelation 12 sign. In the book of Revelations, it is interesting to note that this “sign” marked Satan being “thrown down.” This occurs precisely as the 100 years of Satan’s unbinding comes to an end. This sign is followed by the passage that says,

“Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back, but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven.” -Revelations 12:7-9

“The dragon and his angels fought back.” Look at the fierce battle being waged all around us, as the forces of death and darkness are panicked as they see their entrenched evil threatened. As Revelations 12:12 says, “…for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!” Secular Satanism, as Matt Walsh refers to it, is calling upon every worldly minion and every source of influence, in one of the most aggressive campaigns to retain all of the ground they have gained, up to now. But, their evil empire is crumbling before their eyes, and they know it.

What Is Our Role?

As this historic, epic battle is being waged all around us, we are called upon to be Mary’s Mighty Warriors! This is a battle to regain the surrendered ground of the supernatural, so we must engage as “supernaturalized warriors” wielding “supernatural weapons.”

We are “supernaturalized” when we are completely loyal to Divine Revelation – Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition. We simply cannot break from this, even in the smallest way. God needs “loyal and trusted” soldiers. As Jesus said,

“Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place. Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in the Kingdom of heaven. But whoever obeys and teaches these commandments will be called greatest in the Kingdom of heaven” Matthew 5: 17-19.

We are supernaturalized when we seek the amazing gift of purity found in the Sacrament of Confession. This includes making a “real” effort to put an end to any repetitive sin that has laid hold of us. Men, especially, have disqualified themselves with the sin of pornography and masturbation … no supernatural grace. The time is now, to unchain themselves from this demonic power over them.

The supernatural weapons begin with frequent Communion and Adoration. Recall the two pillars in St. John Bosco’s dream. That means the other supernatural weapon for this battle is the ROSARY. The Church, which is comprised of it’s members, must moor themselves to the Eucharist and the Rosary, in this historic, epic battle.

  2. Wow, I was hoping you had seen this post Charlie……its so wonderful especially after just finishing your two previous blogs. Everything seems to be lining up. I’ve followed Father Heilman for years and am part of the Nineveh 90 for Life. So blessed to have priests like him to point the way.

    When you contacted Father Heilman, did you use the email address off of his website or do you have a special VIP email address. Just wondering, we contacted him a awhile ago and haven’t received a reply yet. It could just be that he’s busy and your email was more pressing than ours, or our email went to spam and he didn’t receive it.

        When we started St. Clare Heirloom Seeds 10 years ago, we had the business philosophy of “Do your very best and leave the results up to God”. This philosophy came from the movie “Facing the Giants”. We don’t always succeed with this philosophy, but we try.

  5. Pretty cool stuff. For what it’s worth, I had a deal of difficulty believing the Sept 23 Sign could be the Rescue. It seemed then to be of interest, of course, but without the fireworks, how could it be the Rescue? Yet the more I see that has happened since then, and the more I come across stuff like this, the more it makes sense to me to see that Sept 23 event as the marker that Rescue was actually beginning. Since then we have seen so much that gives me hope that the world has turned up in its path. I suspect many more predicted events will occur, and some of them will be scary and difficult. However, there is no question in my mind now that the trend of our path did indeed change for the better on Sept 23. I’ll be eying the Moon tomorrow night! 🙂

    2. Steve, didn’t the Archdiocese tell us we are NOT to try and reinterpret Charlie’s failed prophecies? Why then are you saying that the Rescue has come?

      1. Hi Arthur. I remain completely obedient to my Archbishop on these matters. As has been seen on a couple of prior occasions, when the Archdiocese has concerns, it steps in here.

        Typically, re-interpretation in the pejorative sense means someone saying “I was right all along” when events play out in significantly different ways than that person said. I have not done that. I have taken full responsibility for my errors in interpretation – and imposed consequences on myself for that. I was clearly wrong in how I expectecd the Rescue to look and how immediate its consequences would be. On the other hand, the fundamental principle that Our Lady would be revealed to the whole world and Rescue would flow from that are, for the former, correct (though not as I expected) and, on the latter, pending. In all things, we should keep what is good and reject what is not. If I tried, with some breathless nonsense to maintain that all is now sweetness and light, in order to make the totality of what I said true, I would be guilty of the sort of re-interpretation you speak of. On this matter, though, quite independently of me, several, including Fr. Heilman and Susan Skinner of Veil of Veronica, have noted the same things regarding the Sept. 23 event.

        To make adjustments in expectations, honestly acknowledging where our expectations were flat out wrong, is not re-interpretation. In fact, it is almost always necessary. Moses promised the Israelites a land of milk and honey after leaving Egypt. The Jews could be excused for asking even after the first year, “Where is this land of milk and honey you promised? All we see is desert and misery.” That sentiment can only have heightened in each of the next 39 years. Yet what Moses said was true, while how he described it and his time frame were not. Even the believers in Jesus’ time had to adjust their expectations away from the re-establishment of a temporal kingdom in which they would rule over all, to a spiritual kingdom in which all were subject to God. To re-adjust expectations when parts have clearly failed is to seek what is truly intended, not to make what was erroneous suddenly true. To fail to make such adjustments – keeping what is good while discarding what is false – would be perhaps as egregious an error as trying to fit the errors that made the peg square into the round hole of truth.

        It is a reasonable concern you raise. But I would not forbid people from discussing what is going on in the world – or pondering on what does match up and what is errant. It can be a fine line at times. But I will continue to take guidance…and I will neither deny what I have said that is true nor try to re-interpret what I have said that is clearly inaccurate. I noted, in my final post at the old site and my first at this, that the Rescue has come, though not as I expected. So it is fair game for discussion here.

        But I will remain obedient to what the actual Archdiocese DOES intervene on, not on how some commenters believe it should.

      3. Arthur. I told Charlie long ago he better be right or he would lose all credibility. Just because Charlie said there would be an attempted coup oh wait there were elements of the Federal government that tried to accomplish that, and just because Charlie said that an outsider would be elected, oh wait that did happen and that this outsider would lead us back .. oh wait that is happening. Yeah Charlie really screwed that up didn’t he? But the basic elements DID happen. We are by all appearances being rescued..
        I remeber is the movie the Song of Bernadette the Blessed Mother told Bernadette to wash herself at the grotto. She started to dig up mud and smeared her face is mud. Then all of the people started to laugh at her and called her insane.But from that garbage heap water started to form and then it became a pond and from that miracle occured. Yeah Charlie got some mud on his face too.

    1. The last time I saw this much commotion in the world was when the Iron Curtain fell. And no doubt evil in the US has been exposed in a manner that I have not seen. I had read that the three days of darkness would fall on the coldest day of the year in the month of St Joseph when there would be a blue moon. I have been waiting for a while now in anticipation of whether that would be 2018.

    3. I think you are probably right. Though I would like things to be quick, I think begining in 2017 was the beginning of Jacobs Trouble (21 years).

      Many great sinners to be redeemed into great saints in this time. The heart of Christ is for the many! The “many” to me is a mystical word in the consecration of the wine that contains so much hope, that we the church, maturing, will begin to understand more clearly as events begin to unfold. The greater as we progress towards our innocence being restored. My belief is at the end of this we will be found half naked – meaning a great portion of our innocence lost will be restored.

Joe, My take on the “many” is that even though Jesus intended salvation and redemption for “all,” we know that not all will accept that invitation and we must settle for the hope that most, or as many as possible will. My own fate is still in the balance and I “hope” and “trust” without “presumption” that due to the mercy and grace of God and Mother’s intercession, I will “persevere” to the end. May God bless and preserve us all.

      3. Joe, I like your thoughts on the “many” in the consecration and the half naked “meaning a great portion of our innocence lost will be restored.”
        I have been given much on the sacrifice of the Mass / the priesthood and the sacrifice of having children / motherhood, but it isn’t complete. I used to get frustrated with these thoughts which came, starting for the “Piety” talk for a Cursillo weekend, 28 years ago, and nowhere to take them, since that talk would not write down. I was a written not a talker, now I am neither 🙂 The leaders said I was to give it, then on the weekend, the night before I as to give the talk, it was re-discerned that I was not to give it. I have realized I am to “be still and know that He is God”.
        I believe He is preparing the “many” in ways in which we have only a shadow of what it may be . A woman from my parish, who didn’t know what I was “getting” or that I was so very frustrated with the thoughts which came, send me this scripture, at that time 27 years ago: 1Thess.5 verse 19: “Do not restrain the Holy Spirit ; do not despise inspired messages.” IF nothing comes of this I am fine with that, if something does..it is God’s initiative not mine. It was a very humbling experience, but without being humbled we cannot learn humility, it will take a lifetime for me.
        MEANwhile, and it often seems like a MEAN time, with more challenges than fruit..we wait and pray for the Divine Will to be accomplished in as “many” souls as possible 🙂 I am seeing LIGHTS of God’s Goodness in my nine adult children, just this season 🙂 I am believing it is a fruit of praying the Flame of Love Rosary daily for my children and others.
        I have prayed much since I went to Medjugorje the first time in 1985. All in God’s time..Jesus I trust in You ! I have been blessed to be in Kracow for the Feast if the Divine Mercy in 2013 along with my husband. I believe we all have been gathering Graces for ourselves and “many” over the years..Graces which will appear in souls when the time is right. I am about to start a book study with friends, “33 Days to Merciful Love” by Fr.Michael Gaitley, I expect there will be wonderful graces given from doing this book study which culminates in the Consecration to the Divine Mercy, on Divine Mercy Sunday.

        We have heard of the “Warning”. I believe after this time we will be sent out to reinforce what the Lord has done in souls, so that “many” will not fall back into their former sinful ways. Some, I believe, after they recover, will choose to ignore that experience of seeing ourselves / our souls as God sees them.

        “In the early 1960’s the warning was predicted by the Mother of God, who communicated her message through four young girls from the mountain village of Gara- vandal, in northern Spain. She rst appeared to them on July 16, 1961, the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. She told them of the warning, a “correction of the conscience of the world,” which all would experience.

  9. Beckita, I liked what you said on one of the other posts and tried to say so, but as usual several of the posts just went poof 💨 bye bye!
    You said, “I’ve noticed that God definitely does work in a holy process AND He works miraculously in the kind of fireworks which are a display of His Brilliance and Energy – for the sake of conversion, to call people to Himself and show He is Lord and to further build up the faith of believers.”
    I wonder, reading this… if everything will now come together in the very near future! This is all just so amazing and so wondrous!
    You know when my kids were little we had a very bad storm moving in that had already set down 2 or 3 tornadoes, I saw one going down the freeway and another over the swamp that became a waterspout. I was out back collecting all of the kids to bring them into our home (parents were not there at the time) and picking up their toys. I looked at the black sky and my heart sunk because we were in shabbily built townhomes with no shelter whatsoever. I got on my knees and pleaded with God to protect us and our poorly built homes for the sake of all of the little kids and all the poor families who had nothing and nowhere else to go. I got back up and continued to grab kids and I looked up to check the sky and there, right in the middle of the black clouds, was Mary all in white, shining very brightly, and she was praying! It was so beautiful. I almost died on the spot I was so grateful and I knew we would all be okay. Then I saw the tornado in the sky pass over us, and so I prayed for any other people in its path..it took a few garage roofs off and tumbled one guy’s truck but he had managed to get out and into a ditch.. and later drove his truck home!
    Anyway, this is one of the reasons why I so firmly believe in what Charlie and many others are saying, even if the timing was off! We will all see what Our God of surprises has in store for us and I believe in a miraculous way, one way or another! I pray soon! God is not far from us and He is not done with us! 🌺🌹🌷🌼The new Springtime is coming! Amen.

      Our Lady has been giving those subtle hints about Her protection in the media when they show all those pictures of her statues and the like unharmed in all the disasters that have been happening lately. She is boldly showing the world her power to protect us from these disasters.
      The bigger story is the protection she gave to the church rectory of Our Lady of the Assumption in Hiroshima during the nuclear bombings in Japan at the end of WWII.
      But, as your story shows Snowy, she isn’t too busy to personally protect a small town and a house full of children!

      2. Philip, I noticed that too! Terrible fires and storms and there stood the statues of Mary! Amazing grace and an amazing promise for us all! The story about the priests was incredible, and undeniable miraculous! One of my favorites! I read they were actually reciting the Rosary when the bomb hit. God can do all things- anything!

      3. Oh my yes…the Jesuits at ground zero in Hiroshima. Walked away virtually unscathed. And like the image of Our Lady of Tepeyac surviving a dynamite blast at point blank range in 1920. Or the firestorm in Peshtigo in 1871. No power on earth can match the power of Heaven.

And I don’t know about everyone else, but I have been on ‘scramble’ mode lately. Can hardly keep up with what the Lord puts in front of me each day. I am lucky to get a little time to read Charlie’s posts. Not much time to comment…which may not be a bad thing at all. 😂 (I am currently praying with Cardinal Sarah’s book ‘The Power Of Silence’).

          I miss all the Steppers, all the time and have wondered about Deer for a very long time . So much beauty and goodness has been shared here. I think we probably sense the goodness in each person who is part of this group and long for that fullness of friendship and presence that will only be ours in heaven. So blabber away dear one… 💖

          2. CG, oh, I understand completely! I said that the Lord will shove me back into the woodstove and that’s my way of saying one fire-crackin trial after another- I can barely keep up, keep my sanity and some days ….oy. I imagine most everyone here is going through many trials!!
            This morning I read from Jesus to St Faustina: “I do not reward for good results but for the patience and hardship undergone for My sake (Diary, 86).
            I dearly thank Him for that!
            Yeah, I miss many people too, I get attached to people very easily! O well, if we can’t see people here there’s always Heaven!
            I’ve been wanting to read that book for a while and eventually I’ll have to get it- but I live in silence most of the time, I get tired of it! (trying to teach my cats and dogs how to talk is not working) Not sure I want to read about it..yet! 🤗🤭🤫

Since I am generally in agreement with his analysis, I do not believe I would add anything but “noise” if I wrote .       I don’t know if I ever shared this with everyone, but Snowy, you made me think of it as I was reading your ‘rescue.’ Every summer when we do our junior high summer camp (Extreme Faith Camp) we always have a mini retreat the weekend before for the leadership. It strengthens us and we ask for God’s blessings, help and protection throughout the upcoming week. We’ve had a few times where we have gathered as severe storms and tornados have gone completely around us.
      One in particular I remember was about three or four years ago. We were gathered for our Sunday evening Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Reconciliation when all the lights went out. They were watching a severe storm system during this time and the camp staff came over and said we had to go into the shelter, which was a long narrow hallway outside the rooms where the boys slept. About one hundred of us gathered in that hallway. Father brought the monstrance with Jesus and placed it on a small table near the entrance, and then he continued listening to confessions in the next room while we continued to sing and adore the Lord as the storm raged around us. God and His army of angels had us surrounded though, for the worst part of the storm split and moved around us, then regathered north of us and continued on! Our youth minister showed it on the radar from his phone. It was awesome! We were all in that hallway for about an hour. I get chills thinking of this and how much in worshiping and praising God, even through our storms, He surprises us!
      I have never seen Mary or the angels, but I have always sensed they are there with us, surrounding our camp with a protective bubble every year, and God knows we need it. How else do you get 250 teenagers with raging hormones together in one place and not have a few challenges?
      Honestly, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else! It’s a beautiful thing, witnessing the growth of faith in these kids who have so many challenges these days.

They say when you’re a teacher, your kids teach you. Well I am no teacher but this experience is one I can say that is continually teaching me. I just pray that our lost ones will come home, someday sooner than later.

      1. Patrick, after typing that particular comment, I asked Beckita to remove it for me and she did. I didn’t understand it (and still don’t) so I had no business putting it here. I just got excited about what you had said in your comment because if I remember correctly, it sounded like the same thing. I had never heard of anything like this before.
        What I meant when I said poof with many of my comments disappearing is due to some computer glitch I have been dealing with for a long time. I’ve tried everything including ms word and document, but it persists. The problem seems to happen when I type from my WordPress account but If I come to the site and type I don’t seem to have as many problems! 🙂

    11. Snowy we should all be doing what you did in that particular storm. Blue moons, blood moons aside, we can’t know the timing. No one foresaw the way the Iron Curtain fell. It was mainly because of the thousands of people behind it who gathered in fields to hear Mass and pray the Rosary. The miracle was the steel of JPII. It showed the world what prayer could do. So the Iron Curtain fell in the minds and hearts of the people before it physically came down. The huge unanswered question in the room is abortion on demand. It appears we’re still a long way away from enlightened truth. The Senate just defeated a bill limiting abortion to 12 weeks, so abortion right up to the day before birth is still law. Fourteen so called Roman Catholic senators voted to defeat this bill. I do question their actual commitment to their faith. I do not believe they are practicing in any way. Mass, confession, the Rosary, I sincerely doubt it. But with massive collective prayer another Berlin Wall/Iron Curtain could fall. And we probably will not foresee its demise coming. Our arch bishop has said that a Roman Catholic cannot vote for abortion on any level and be in good standing in Christ. Who do these senators think they will meet in judgement at their passing? On some level I wonder if their votes actually reveal that their true faith is actually atheism.

This President said “we” 129 times last night, as opposed to Obama’s SoU addresses where we’d lose count how many times he said “I”, “me”, or “my”…now THAT is arrogance. The contrast between the two men is stark. I thought Trump’s address was excellent, not only for his pro-God, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-American stance, but also how he forced the Dems–in their effort to defy and disrespect him–to make utter fools of themselves. They sat scowling like obstinate children over positive accomplishments that every American would agree with, and the whole world saw their true colors. The Dems are in disarray and losing badly, and they don’t get it yet.

      How about the guests that President Trump invited? Many of the people and their stories moved me to tears. They showed us that Americans are incredible people.

Charlie said in one of his other posts that the DACA kids would see that President Trump was on their side and after watching the reaction from the Dems last night…it’s now what the world is seeing. I’ve never such a disgusting bunch of faces in my life! Nancy Pelosi is now out this morning claiming 86 million poor American families are going to pay much higher taxes and she can barely vomit out the words- she’s flat out lying and she knows it. Sadly, they will NOT stop this insane resistance! Lord have mercy- praying for them!

  16. I am recalling the SEER from Emmitsburg MD. Gianna,Talonne Sullivan was told by the Blessed Virgin Mary that when you see the Two Moons, that is when our rescue is near.
    It has been many years and she had been silenced as far as having her apparitions in a Catholic Church. She and her husband as far as I know work with the poor in that area..

    1. I was sure it was when we see 2 suns at the same time not 2 moons on separate days. In this supposed Marian apparition (you can google 2 suns) she says that the scientist and church authorities know of another solar system orbiting around our sun for quite some time and when this system comes close by there will be great changes on earth like being a very small remnant. Much can be mitigated by prayer and fasting.

      Not sure if this is reliable but people speculate this is one of the 10 secrets on the worse side at medjugorje. I wonder if there are other prophecies to validate this? I dont doubt that given the bias with trump and media and government collusion against him it is almost certainly probably to cover this up as well however I think it would be noticed if it was close by. God knows if the increased earthquake and volcanic activity has something to do with it.

Well actually, Josh, there was a message about two moons in the month of flowers AND there was a message about two “suns” with the second sun being referred to as “another body in orbit around your solar system, coming between Earth and the Sun.” But, as Theresa mentioned, Gianna is silent about these messages now in obedience to the Church. Looking forward to the day when ALL is revealed. Anything misunderstood or unjustly suppressed will be vindicated and the truly false words will be known for what they are.         1. It can’t be as scary as the “Veronica Lueken – Bayside” predictions where something large will enter our solar system and there will be a huge loss of life on earth. I hope that prediction is fake.

          The book “After the warning to 2038” makes me uneasy, that life could progressively worse over the next 20 years.

          Sure, there’s lots of planet 9, Planet X, Nibiru, & Nemesis (the sun’s smaller/darker sibling), but these people believe in UFOs, are probably on drugs, or just plain weird, so not very credible.

          Personally, I think we should worry more about, science messing around with DNA, if the ancient texts & legends are even a little true, genetic tampering may have been the reason for Noah’s flood. Ancient discoveries show that ancients knew more than we could image.

              I do not dismiss the second sun or other interstellar body as implausible as it could explain the 3 days of darkness. Its unlikely that the sun would just stop shinning for few days unless by a miracle. It more likely it would be agitated by some cosmic force or something that blocks it out (not speaking of multiple super volcano’s going off to completely cover the earths atmosphere). The effects of course would be felt on earth.

                The 3 day’s of darkness just seems like reads more like a miracle, like the opposite of the “miracle of the sun”, but if you physical explanations look up dark spots on the sun (what if the sun had a hiccup?)

                  I said it is likely that this could be brought about by interstellar stellar objects and the agitation of the sun. I wonder if its possible to get hold of footage of SOHO where we can see the sun reactions to comets or other inter stellar objects coming close to it and whether anyone has done any correlation of increased seismic/volcanic activity on earth when such an event takes place.

                  As far as the miracle of the candle and faith go I think it is possible for even a staunch atheist such as richard dawkins to lights a candle just to be safe but is given a moment of grace such that he eventually humbles himself before God and is saved. God only knows!

                    I do admit a celestial object could do as you say, I’m only cautioning about limiting our understanding of God to the atheist box, so atheists can later look at the box, and say God didn’t do it, it’s all natural. God makes the rules, and does what he wants.

                    You do realize the earth is currently undergoing a magnetic pole shift, they say a big one too. The explanation for the earth’s instability may actually be below our feet.

That is, it’s the official Church statement issued by the local Bishop who is the one with the duty and legitimate authority to appoint a commission which investigates and, then, the Bishop makes a decision concerning authentencity. He has declared there was nothing supernatural in the Bayside apparitions. So, whatever any websites may say, the definitive, official decision by the Church is that’s it’s fake, as you say.

                I received your gift in the mail today. THANK YOU! This is most useful for my ministry as a lawyer. You really ought to let Beckita know about this. I have been working with a friend on an end of life ministry involving graveyards. I will show him this and my mother and father, too.This needs to get around!

                My father, with his dementia, often just lays in bed or sits in his chair saying the rosary and having masses said. He has even had souls of the dead come and ask him for masses. One was a former client who had recently died and asked him for masses. Another was somebody who asked for prayers and said she had a long purgatory because she had lost the practice of the faith and consequently, her children were not raised Catholic and now her great grandchildren are not even baptized. As a result, she has a heavy price to pay because of her spiritual neglect that allowed this to happen. My father just tells me these things in a childlike maner, and some are of people whose family I know, but he has never met or heard of.

                I am with you on this ministry, Pat!

                2. Remarkable story about your father, Jim, how he calmly goes about his work of helping in the salvation of souls. Sometimes it just takes one last prayer to release someone from purgatory, like Charlie sensing the need to pray for Patsy Cline (if I remember right). Or like St Faustina learning of particular dying souls who needed prayers in his final agony. What a charism your father has been given!

                  Around All Souls Day, perhaps for several days, I will spend time with my friend, sitting in a local cemetery “randomly” praying for souls. It’s a very peaceful, consoling thing to do. Certainly important for those souls who benefit from our prayers. Of course, we’ll never know what prayers went where and for whom until after we ourselves pass away.

                  I’m very glad you enjoy the booklet.

    3. We sell the Audiobooks that we produce on Amazon, they take 40% of the profits from a sale. 45% if it’s FBA. It’s a ripoff, but we sell on Amazon anyway for exposure. I try not to buy on Amazon if I can help it, but I will use Amazon for research on a product. Many times if it’s sold on Amazon, you can see who the merchant is, google them, and then buy right from their website.

      As President Trump told Boeing a while back: We want you to make money, we want you to make a lot of money, but you don’t need to make that much money!” Apparently Bezo is worried a whole lot about how much money he makes.

      Amazon charges approximately 40% seller fee’s, don’t even bother if what you would like to sell is priced under $10. The sellers fee’s go up and you won’t make any profit.
      Ebay charges 10 – 15% plus 2.9% credit card fee.
      Our own website, 2.9% credit card processing fee.

        My husband was going to use Amazon for his business and I just read your comment to him- he’s rethinking it now. I canceled my amazon prime account and am doing the same as You- going to the company and buying directly from them. Amazon is putting so many people out of business unless the people go through them. Example… I buy my art supplies from Blicks and if I pay for what I buy from them through Amazon(which is option on Blicks own website) I pay a lot more- upwards of 12-15 bucks more- if I pay with my own account with Blicks, less. It’s very spooky what they are doing!

          It gets even better when you sell something on Amazon and you have to ship it express mail. Express mail costs a minimum of $21 dollars and Amazon only gives you a flat rate $16 shipping credit. Amazon also does not withhold sales tax for you, but you are responsible for paying all sales tax to the state. So lets say you have $5000 of sales in your own state, sales tax are 5.5%, you have to pay $275 out of your own pocket to the state for sales tax all because Amazon will not add that cost into the sales. If you have an actual store on Amazon they will withhold for you but there is an additional fee. Amazon is very easy to list on though, put in the UPC or ISBN and they do the rest for you.

          If your husband is starting his own business, I would recommend his own site in addition to Amazon and Ebay. It’s a lot more work, but it can be fun to watching your site develop. If you want to sell “Hillary for prison t-shirts” you can, nobody can tell you not to. If you or your husband need advice on your own website, feel free to contact us.

        2. Jen,I was using Google Chrome with ad and tracking blockers that obviously did not work at all. I noticed everywhere I went the ads were targeted to any purchases I had recently made and they seemed to- as time went on- know everything about me, it was strange. I switched back to Firefox and duckduckgo and all of this has now stopped! You know this should be a crime, overriding privacy setting,it is such terrible invasion of privacy. Firefox seems to be one of the only ones that does a really good job of stopping this on laptops, anyway.

          1. I love using DuckDuckGo.com vs. Google. They do not track you and factual data can be found in their searches front and center vs. being buried under pages and pages of propaganda. ❤

            Our privacy has been invaded beyond our ability to block it completely, however I choose not to give it away. It has been a valuable lesson in 'letting go' of my familiar and comfortable platforms which I established previously.

He used Firefox for a long time but Firefox started to have issues with privacy I think, after the creator left, and then he started Brave. I had forgotten all about that browser, (my memory is terrible!) it was quite a while ago when he switched over.

  19. I watched the eclipse while sitting on the beach with my dogs (at 4:30 am) and said a rosary just to give glory to God for the marvels of his world. I also remembered all of you in my prayers. My iphone camera was not able to capture the spectacle so I just pressed the image in my mind. I was in Charleston SC for the solar eclipse, and I have to say the lunar eclipse was far more dramatic…

    To make a very long story short, lately I have come across some Catholic writers who have postulated that there is a “mythology” around some of the gospel accounts of Jesus’ miracles – one in particular the story of the loaves and fishes. I was really irritated at the suggestion that what I had always believed might not be true in the sense of something supernatural magically multiplying the loaves and fish. I spoke about it with my spiritual director, a wonderful nun. She was not outraged at the author. She said God more often works in the natural world and doesn’t need to pull rabbits out of a hat. She invited me to consider that maybe the “miracle” was the generosity of the 5000 people that manifested after Jesus blessed the loaves and fishes and shared with them what little he had. Perhaps his example was enough to get people to bring out whatever food they had with them and share it with the others. The point is, either way you understand the lesson – God is generous and merciful and we can be too.

    So, as I ponder this, I think it speaks to our wishing for “fireworks” and high drama with supernatural “miracles” that will bring us to our knees and compel the wicked to repent AKA the Rescue. But God rarely works this way. He’s not David Copperfield. He gives us signs in his universe – whether it is a celestial event, or a cloud formation in the form of his mother. He doesn’t need to defy the laws of nature which he created in the first place. Nature or science is His dominion in the physical world and He can speak to us mere mortals in the language of the world in which we live. It is up to us to first be aware, notice and interpret or discern his message, keeping in mind always his mercy and love.

    I used to teach persuasion and the first thing I always told students was that you can’t persuade anyone to your way of thinking. They have to change their own minds. I think that’s how God works most of the time. Much to the consternation of the apostles, Jesus didn’t come right out and say: Hey Guys -I’m the second person of the Trinity God-the-Son. I’m the Messiah and here’s the deal… No, he showed us signs, and told stories. Maybe some were truly supernatural, maybe he just showed us how to behave and treat each other and then “miraculously” the people around him changed their minds.

    Blessed are those who see and believe – ultimately the change we make within ourselves will be more compelling and permanent than a magic act, although the fireworks would be pretty cool too…

    1. I am very familiar with that “take” on the miracle of the loaves and fishes. I don’t buy it, but I think it a reasonable position to take PROVIDED it is not just a veil to hide the fact that the believer does not believe God is capable of working a miracle. Arguing that a miraculous event happened by natural means is legitimate – and entirely different than arguing that the Author of the Universe is incapable of acting outside of the natural laws He established. My antenna go up every time someone makes this argument precisely because, in most cases, they are using it to mask their disbelief in the capacity of God to perform any miracle at all…and when you go deeper, it is a despair that there is a God at all. So I think your discomfort with it is well-founded, Momma.

      1. I agree – I believe God can do whatever he wants to–he’s God. The book I read was called “It isn’t necessarily so, a senior priest separates faith from fiction by Fr. Richard Rento of New Jersey. Some parts of the book were truly beautiful and some parts really bothered me. I do think that God most often speaks to us through nature or natural events but that doesn’t mean he can’t use more flamboyant means if he wants to. My daughter is an atheist and believes science proves there is no God – so I find it useful sometimes to bridge the gap between us by talking about how God is the author of science and uses his creation to reveal himself to us – Science, or really scientists have been wrong millions of times. God has never been wrong. I think science will eventually lead us to the truth, and that truth is God…but it might be well after my lifetime…

          My parish priest, Fr. John, in last Sunday’s homily used an analogy I loved. He said science and religion go hand-in hand. He used the his hand and said picture science as the fingers, absent the thumb and try to grasp something, it can be done, but not well. Picture the thumb by itself as religion and try to grasp something. It can be done, but not so well. By using both the fingers hand and the thumb on the one hand, things can be grasped much better. I love that. So simple – right up my alley. 😉

Robert Spitzer, SJ: “In Latin, ‘magis’ means “more.” In some contexts it can mean “the even more,” the furthest frontier: frontiers of reason, knowledge, the universe, and reality itself.” Fr. Spitzer is another leader, filled with zeal, who is busting apart atheistic attitudes by forging faith and reason in ways we have neglected to teach as a Church. He originally targeted the older teen years as the audience for his material, for the research was showing the Church was losing people from this age group, in droves, in the face of all the scientific breakthroughs God has granted us in our times. Seemingly everywhere we turn, I observe the Lord is preparing people to receive and minister to a great harvest of souls who will hunger to know the Living God and all His ways. The Servant of God, Maria Esperanza, on more than a few occasions, expressed that after a time of Great Light, when men humble themselves before the Lord, He will bless this humility as science and medicine in ways which will result in new discoveries and cures. These will be a result of a fusion of deeper knowledge of God’s natural laws with His supernatural grace and blessings. How extraordinary can the ordinary ways be when when we ever acknowledge God and ALL His Ways. Maranatha.

In fact I found this original site as a result of a story I was writing on Catholic end times beliefs in which I quoted him (although his expertise is astrophysics not metaphysics). my only point was God often uses his cosmos in miraculous ways — like the eclipse or the constellation of Our Lady of Guadalupe. etc. – reading the comments I think we’re all on the same page here…literally and figuratively.

            4. Yesterday I thought similar re great harvest of souls. How God seems to be preparing people to reach out and minister. However only after those to go out ave been purified, taught and prepared.
              Dr Mary Healy in her interview on Forerunners says best way to reach next generation is one on one encounters. I sat with large group of teachers other day. Many in 20s and 30 s and thought. Www Harvest is all around me! Prophecy of Patti Mansfield in June…. Harvest is White. Also came to me yesterday. Come Holy Spirit come.

            5. I have a friend who is in his 80’s now, is a very good Catholic and was in seminary but did not become a priest. However his sister was an IHM sister. He taught in Catholic schools throughout our diocese. He was at Mass years ago and a visiting Jesuit gave the sermon on exactly this topic with that exact slant mentioned above. No shrinking violet he. He stood up and challenged this Jesuit from his seat in the pew with exactly Charlie’s response. Please consider this: if one miracle performed by Jesus can be called into question then why not all his miracles? And then His Christology, too? Was the water/wine at the Marriage Feast of Cana just found at a neighbors house or down the street somewhere? Was the intimate conversation between Mother and Son at that wedding, a conversation revealing she already knew who her Son was, a lie? Reducing the power of those miracles diminishes both Jesus and Mary to happenstance. Then think about the saints, the visions, the stigmatas (I.e. Pio and Asissi), Bernadette, Fatima, Tepeyac and yep even Medjugorje.

      2. The reason why I don’t buy the generosity take on the loaves and fishes story is because the Gospels are not a collection stories that are written down by Average Joe Witness. The nature of the Gospel stories are more like precise news reports written by a skilled reporter, as is fitting coming from a culture that has made a career out of carefully preserving sacred writings that are not embellished, even emotionally, in any way. The language of the Gospels is meticulous and often very dry, because it is trying to be as accurate as possible, not because people back then didn’t know how to tell or complete a good story or they were too simple to figure out the punchline or something. No fake news in the Gospels. So I believe in a literal interpretation in that instance instead of metaphorical one. As far as God working within the natural world to enact some miracles, sure, but it occurs to me that we don’t know the natural world as well as we think. Consider action at a distance, or spooky action, as it’s known in physics. That’s natural. It was a rare event in the Gospels when Jesus healed people at a distance while He was physically walking around on Earth. The usual thing was a touch, some kind of physical contact, think of the story where a woman suffering an affliction simply touched His robe, out of faith. It seems that the idea of being healed was connected to Divine Contact. Indeed, if you were to put human salvation history into a nutshell, it’s about humans getting in contact with God. Perhaps, in those distant healing cases, the Divine Contact is more astonishing than how we normally think of God’s Acts of Will: like a genie granting a wish. He might possibly have used properties of the natural order too for a doubly profound contact. Perhaps the faith of the Centurion, for example, was such that while he did not understand, He knew that Jesus was God and Master and could really ‘touch’ the afflicted from a distance, because He is Master. The laws of nature are, of course, God’s to obey or suspend as He Wills, I’m not trying to start a fancy new heresy, just looking at ‘working within the natural order’ in a different way. At some point in studying Physics it seems that scientists keep bumping into Philosophy, which makes me wonder at the inter-connectivity of creation and God. Even if God used ‘regular’ means, meaning circumstances, people, history . . .the slow molding of things that are already there . . . to accomplish something, it’s still quite a miracle of this inter-connectivity. God is an absolute master at “working with what you have” as well as the master of all creation. I KNOW I’m rambling, when I think of something cool to write here I have to do it quickly during a cup of tea . . . the kids know that when I have a cup of tea they kinda let me be . . .and then off to housework and homeschooling and dinner planning. I guess all I’m trying to say is that I’m never threatened by people who try to debunk miracles with examples of what we think of as natural order, for me that stuff is more a matter of logic than belief. It just doesn’t seem logical to think some wind blew water really hard all night over a marsh and let people pass nor does it seem logical that the preservation of such a dramatic story so sacredly kept was inflated to such an outlandish degree at first and then carefully preserved for untold years afterward. Instead of trying to prove that there is no God, it seems to me that chronic de-bunkers are instead attempting to prove something even worse: that God must be boring. 🙂

        2. I give some of them this much credit: they are trying to reconcile their faith with their disbelief rather than just abandoning their faith. O, that we could see beyond this little fishbowl into reality and know how greatly and tenderly the Lord loves us and wants us back to Him. What nobler task can there be than to use every faculty we have to bring our brothers and sisters back to the reality that is Christ! So much of despair is just a failure of faith.

      3. Corrie ten Boom in her book, The Hiding Place, speaks about the time she was in the barracks in the prison camps. She had a bottle of vitamins that she shared and they never ran out.
        God not only multiplies loaves and fishes, but vitamins as well.
        ps because her barracks had fleas, they weren’t bothered as much from the guards.

          1 Kings 17:1-24

          Elijah and The Widow of Zarephath. God sends Elijah to stay with the widow (& son) of Zarephath. He encounters her gathering wood for their last meal prior to starvation. Elijah has her stop, cook a small cake for him then prepare a meal for her and son. The handful of meal and oil lasts. Then her son dies and is resurrected by Elijah.

    2. Your morning view sounds lovely, madkatmomma. Thank you so much for your prayers. You’ve shared some inspirational thoughts here and there is such beauty, grace and truth in God’s ordinary ways as He expresses Himself in constant whispers.

      At the same time, this topic of doubting or denying Jesus’ miracles is near and dear to my heart because it has brought great confusion in the Church in this area. No maybes about it, Jesus definitively performed miracles for multiple purposes when He walked the earth (they were an integral part of His mission – one being they were a sign of His divinity)… and He continues to do so using human instruments. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. No magic to it. Miracles are Christ’s Love poured out and our faith is both expected and built up in Him by His miracles. As Jesus said to the hemorrhaging woman who touched His tunic and was healed: “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” (Mark 5:34)

      Throughout time, many spiritual teachers have advanced ideas, albeit often with good intention, which actually reflect personal interpretation of the Scriptures. It’s so important to look to Magisterial teaching on topics such as this, not that we be hammered into correct thinking, but to seek the knowledge and wisdom of our Mother… our Mother Church. Here’s one brief excerpt from the CCC speaking to Christ’s miracles:

      “from the Catechism of the Catholic Church, nos. 547-50.

      Jesus accompanies His words with many “mighty works and wonders and signs,” which manifest that the kingdom is present in Him and attest that he was the promised Messiah (Acts 2:22).

      The signs worked by Jesus attest that the Father has sent Him. They invite belief in Him. To those who turn to Him in faith, He grants what they ask. So miracles strengthen faith in the One who does His Father’s works; they bear witness that He is the Son of God. But His miracles can also be occasions for “offense” (Mt.11:6); they are not intended to satisfy people’s curiosity or desire for magic. Despite His evident miracles some people reject Jesus; He is even accused of acting by the power of demons.

      By freeing some individuals from the earthly evils of hunger, injustice, illness, and death, Jesus performed messianic signs. Nevertheless He did not come to abolish all evils here below, but to free men from the gravest slavery, sin, which thwarts them in their vocation as God’s sons and causes all forms of human bondage.

      The coming of God’s kingdom means the defeat of Satan’s: “If it is by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you” (Mt. 12:26, 28). Jesus’ exorcisms free some individuals from the domination of demons. They anticipate Jesus’ great victory over “the ruler of this world” (Jn. 12:31). The Kingdom of God will be definitively established through Christ’s Cross: “God reigned from the wood” (Liturgy of the Hours, Holy Week, Hymn Vexilla Regis).”

      What I appreciate most about the Prayer of Miraculous Trust is that it causes us to trust, completely, in how God answers our prayer. He may work through His ordinary ways or He may intervene in a miraculous way. May He continue to bless us all.

Lazarus rose from the dead, but even this affected only Lazarus: what of those countless numbers who have died because of their sins? Those miraculous loaves fed five thousand people; yet this is a small number compared to those all over the world who were starved by ignorance. After eighteen years a woman was freed from the bondage of Satan; but are we not all shackled by the chains of our own sins?

He entered the contest for the reward he would win by his patient endurance.

        Certainly in times of tranquillity the cross should give you joy. But maintain the same faith in times of persecution. Otherwise you will be a friend of Jesus in times of peace and his enemy during war. Now you receive the forgiveness of your sins and the generous gift of grace from your king. When war comes, fight courageously for him.

        Jesus never sinned; yet he was crucified for you. Will you refuse to be crucified for him, who for your sake was nailed to the cross? You are not the one who gives the favour; you have received one first. For your sake he was crucified on Golgotha. Now you are returning his favour: you are fulfilling your debt to him.

      1. Right on Joanne. My response to a doubting priest some years ago was that if we do not believe in God’s power to work miracles, why believe in Him at all. Of course he admitted another time that he has days when he is not so sure of the existence of God. I have been praying for him every day since in these last twenty three years.

    2. Jesus said that “if you did not believe in me, believe in the signs I do”. (John 10:38).
      This was a powerful way Jesus proved His divinity and authority.
      Miracles are called “an acceleration of creation” because, like you referred to, God uses His creation to perform miracles on. It would not be as convincing to perform a miracle on an invisible part of creation like if everyone chose to be generous and give of what they had because Jesus was a charismatic speaker and wooed the people to charity. Would this have caused the multitude to rise up and try to make him king?
      Not likely.
      But if He created something out of almost nothing, then, that would be a cause for excitement. The real problem with believing that Jesus, or the apostles or the early saints actually performed a lot of miracles is because we don’t see them much today.
      But just like what happens almost every time after God intervenes in our lives the fire, furvor and love are replaced by complacency, disrespect and disobedience….and doubt. Even visionaries after a long time of not having any, will say they feel some doubt in their visions.
      On one of the videos posted here, Father Mathias even comments that after receiving an increase of healings in his ministry that a kind of complacency replaced the excitement and joy they had previously experienced after a healing because they were becoming so “common”. I guess if I was seeing such things every day, all day long I too might loose the newness and freshness of God working in what seemed now to be rather ordinary (at least in my world).
      I think for God, we are rather like a bunch of spoiled rotten kids running helter-skelter all day crying “I want, I want!” It is only just that He restrains His hand from giving us ice cream and recess which we would eventually grow weary of but instead gives us real food and life’s lessons which allow us to grow in proper order.

    I would like to address one point that Father Richard made, and I quote: “The Blue Moon in March occurs on March 31. What’s significant of that date? It coincides with Holy Saturday, which commemorates Our Lord’s descent into Hades and the Harrowing of Hell.”

    What is the harrowing of hell? Where is Hades? For Roman Catholics, this is especially confusing as liturgically, there is little explanation of this, other than the vague reference in the Nicene Creed, which states “He descended into hell . . .” Then there is the Bible. Using the old Douai-Rheim, we find from 1 Peter 18-20:18Because Christ also died once for our sins, the just for the unjust: that he might offer us to God, being put to death indeed in the flesh, but enlivened in the spirit, 19In which also coming he preached to those spirits that were in prison: 20Which had been some time incredulous, when they waited for the patience of God in the days of Noe, when the ark was a building: wherein a few, that is, eight souls, were saved by water.

    There are some other hints, liturgically. In the old Office of the Dead in the Roman Breviary. Tthe responsory for the Third Nocturn of Matins says: “Deliver me Lord from the paths of hell. You have shattered the bronze doors and visited hell, and given them light that they might see you.

    Then, from the Office of Reading, reading number two from the Office of the Dead in the Liturgy of the Hours: “For no other reason did Christ descend to earth with its metal barriers that block eternity but to crack those bronze doors and smash their iron bars and thereby lead us away from corruption to Himself and makes us free instead of slaves.”

    Then there is the second reading for the Office of Readings from the Liturgy of the Hours for Holy Saturday: ” Today there is great silence over the earth, for the King sleeps. The earth has trembled and fallen still, the Lord sleep sin his fleshly nature; in the netherworld He is arousing those who have slept for ages. God is dead in the flesh, and has shaken sheol to its foundations.
    He goes to seek our first parents like lost sheep, He wills to visit those who sit in the dark shadows of death, and to release Adam and his wife from their grievous captivity. The Lord takes Adam’s hand and says to him: “Awake sleeper, and rise from the dead and Christ shall enlighten you. I am your God. For your sake I became one of your sons; to you now and to all of your posterity I say: Go forth! You who are in darkness, look upon the light! You who are asleep, rise up!
    I bid you: Awake sleeper! I did not create you to lie bound in hell. Arise from the dead, for I am life t those who have died. Rise up, work of my hands, my likeness, made in my image. Rise, let us go hence.”

    All this is good, but it is in the Byzantine Rite where the explanation is rounded out. Hear all of you and rejoice at the what is said when the Easter Fire is lit on Holy and Great Saturday:

    Today Hades has signed, crying: it was better for me that I had not received the One begotten of Mary, for He, being God, when he approached me loosed my power and crushed my gates of bronze, arousing the souls I had possessed. Wherefore glory to Your Crucifixion and Resurrection, o Lord!

    Today Hades has signed, crying: My power has vanished, because I received a dead man as one of the dead, but could not hold him completely. Rather. I lost with Him those who were under my reign. From the beginning of time, I have had control v=over the dead. But, this One raised all!. Wherefore glory to Your Crucifixion and Resurrection, o Lord!

    Today Hades has signed, crying: My power has been swallowed up; for the Shepherd, crucified, has raised Adam; and those I possessed, I lost. Those whom I swallowed by my might, I have given up completely; for the Crucified has emptied the graves and the might of death has vanished. Wherefore glory to Your Crucifixion and Resurrection, o Lord!

    And, one more, the Easter Troparion, Ruthenian version” “Christ has rsien from the dead! By death he trampled death and to those in the tombs he granted life!”

    The Byzantine Icons of Holy Saturday show the scene where by Christ pulls Adam and Eve from the graves while the prophets and Holy ones of yore look on. Meanwhile the brozne doors and chains are shown broken and sometimes death/hades is shown bound or crushed beneath the busted doors.

    Hell was harrowed when the Holy Dead were released from the prison where Death held them and they could now go into Heaven.

James, I happily wait for Charlie to answer your question but there is one other point for us to ponder in St John Bosco’s dream: it says that BEFORE the two new moons will have shone, ie. in between March 1st and 31st, the rainbow of peace WILL HAVE come. Of course this may not refer to 2018 but all of the signs do seem to point to it. And I would just add that Mirjana at Medjugorje tells us that Our Lady has nominated March 18 of year unknown as a significant date – not at all because it is Mirjana’s birthday on which she receives her annual message.

    2. I make no attempt to answer James’ concerns or questions but only give some simple information. The two places in the Hebrew that could be translated as “hell” are Sheol, the place of the dead which contained in two parts, one would be like purgatory or a holding place awaiting Jesus’ redeeming death which opened the gates of heaven to those who were saved and not condemned to “Gehenna,” a place separated by a great chasm as told to us in the story of Lazarus who was resting in the bosom of Abraham. “Gehenna,” is the Hebrew place of eternal suffering which we call hell. Hades is the Greek word for the place of the dead probably comparable to the Hebrew “Sheol”

      1. Charlie, Father is a splendid writer. Back on October 13 he had a pontifical mass at the throne with Bishop Morlino and Father Z as the m.c. Father Z has some great pics on his site for that EF mass.
        I am glad you understood that I wanted to share some of the wonderful liturgical treasures that are out there. Next time I will better phrase my opening paragraph to prevent misunderstandings. That is what I get for commenting so late in the door.

    4. I was always confused and uncomfortable with that part of the creed, thinking “why would Jesus go down to Hell. He’s Jesus! And what could He redeem, as those in Hell have been condemned there and made their choice in life.” , until I read on it and found that the Church teaching was that there was a “hell of the just” as Limbo was called. It was not a place of pain and hell-fire, but a “hell” so to speak in that they felt the sorrow and absence of and waiting for God.

      2. STCLARESEEDS. I also had the same concern but the problem may be in the translation. If the base word is “sheol,” the place of the dead which can be translated as “hell,” Jesus went there after the resurrection to announce to those awaiting entrance into heaven that he has come to open the gates due to His death on the cross. Limbo is a worthy (and widely accepted though not part of revelation) speculation as a place where the innocent though not yet able to enter heaven for some reason are kept in natural happiness especially for unbaptized babies who have no personal sin of their own. I have hope that these children along with adults who do not know God but choose the Good as they know it are saved through the “baptism of desire” and are welcomed into heaven after undergoing some cleansing as in purgatory.
        This calls to my mind a perhaps less worthy speculation put forth by a German scripture scholar, long before my time, that achieved wide acceptance is that the commonality found in the synoptic gospels is due to a lost written source he labeled “Q.” If such a document had ever existed, would it not have been preserved as a gospel in its own right? This position ignores the more likely possibility that the common source was “oral tradition.” After all, most learning at that time was through memorization since the availability of materials and writing was very scarce. Christ gave the command to go and teach, the written word only came as a much later afterthought. In the latter part of St. John’s gospel, Jesus says, “There is much more that I would teach you but you are not yet ready for it. After I am gone, I will send you the Paraclete who will teach you many things and remind you of all that I have taught you.” It is obvious that it was the Holy Spirit that guided both oral and written teaching in the growth and preservation of the Church in the beginning and continues to fulfill Jesus’ promise that “the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” despite the age of great apostasy we find ourselves in today. Let us all pray that we will be part of the remnant as we go forward to the triumph of Mother Mary’s Immaculate Heart.

  23. Of course, James, much of the liturgical
    discourse was taken from ancient tradition. Reading these older writings from the Fathers of the church and saints gives light to us of what is in our liturgical prayers.
    The understanding of Hades hold on souls is a euphemism of the enemy loosing his “claim” on sinners.
    Death entered the world by the jealousy of Lucifer. He then “claimed” dominion over those who sinned by his “ownership” of the dead (the fallen).
    Remember, the “accuser” stands before the throne night and day. (rev 12:10)
    claiming this right. But the “blood of the Lamb” then cast him down, destroying the reason ( mankind’s offense) he could make this claim on us thus destroying the “gate” to hold sinners bound.
    It is the death of Jesus which satisfied this error of mankind to the Father and removed the obligation of sinners to the “master” of death, satan. We still have the free will to choose his mastery, but we are no longer “obligated” to it. It is now a free choice to follow him or follow Jesus.

  24. Thanks for the post, Charlie. You always seem to bring us a message that’s both encouraging and thought provoking.

    This comment goes in a slightly crossing path – it’s a brief 6 story compendium of people who saw the Lord Jesus, face-to-face, at a very critical time in their lives. I wanted to share it because I found tears coming to my eyes on several of the stories. The video runs for 35 minutes, and it’s completely ecumenical I hope that it means as much to y’all as it did to me. I’m going through a tough time financially, and these stories reminded me that Jesus stands by us at just those times of trouble;

    Although I’m now almost 66, I still hope to be on this earth with my family and friends for many years yet. I believe that God still has a purpose for me yet despite the restrictions that my body sometimes places upon me. Yet, when I hear stories like the above six, despite my all too frequent failings, I can’t help but think as Paul did;

    “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”

            1. Ah, Juls… the big hair! And in the ’70s and ’80s, my family’s hair was REALLY big (afros, dontcha know). Man, I hated that look. I was the odd “man” out, though: I think I may have been the only black kid in the ’70s who flat out refused to wear an afro. Drove my mom crazy because then it took her so much longer to style my hair–I bet she got years off of Purgatory just for that. 🙂

              Somebody help me out, but at one point back in the day, wasn’t “We Are Family” the unofficial “theme song” of the… was it the Steelers?

              2. Ha, Juls and Mick, I missed the big hair days (I’m older), but my kid sister had the big hair. I was honored to sport a mullet. Yep. Years later, when I had my longer hair “trimmed” at a place where the man didn’t know what to do with my hair, I walked out with pretty much another mullet. When I got home, my husband looked at me and said, “Well, what do you think?”. I said I didn’t know whether to cry or laugh. As I don’t get too excited about my hair anymore, I laughed. 🙂

                P.S. The stock market is not doing well, which is making many people very nervous. It affects some in my family, and probably me, but am watching and praying, wondering what is to come next. God bless all here.

              3. Mick that’s really funny, but good for you! May your mom rest in peace. I actually had the afro experience in high school. My poor mom! It was probably the tightest perm I ever had and was horrible to take care of. I was in a musical and that’s the style they wanted my hair, and my hair is thick! Can you picture this? A white girl of mostly German heritage wearing an afro? It was actually pretty funny. 😀

                1. Juls… Hahahaha! I can totally picture it! In the late ’70s, my family was friends with a family that had like 8 kids. I don’t know what their mom’s ethnic background was (Irish, maybe?), but the dad was of French extraction. All the kids had thick, thick hair. A few of them had wavy hair, but the rest of them had massively curly afros–natural, not permed. There were two redheads (flaming orange, actually), and one of them had an afro. What a sight! 🙂

  28. There’s no reason to doubt the multiplication of loaves miracle, the evil one even tempted Jesus during the 40 days in the desert to turn the rocks into bread knowing Jesus could do it.

    We have to shake off the atheist mindset that’s been drilled into us over the years. If God created light on the first day of creation, then it’s also nothing for God to say let there be “3 day’s of darkness” without having to complicate things by making a celestial object go in front of the sun.

    You can’t reason with a atheist for the same reason you can’t reason with a alcoholic or a druggy; a atheist is addicted to their sinful lives, by denying God’s existence they can also deny they are sinners, thus live the way the want. Is it any wonder why atheists want to disprove God’s existence so badly?

  29. It was some time before Christmas this past year, 2017, that I began pulling out the Bosco prophesy material, and it was only then I noticed the prophesy included lines about blue moons. I am a fan of Fr. Heilman. And I have no desire to be a nay sayer. But over the years I have become more guarded. My father went to Bayside and followed Bayside until he decided perhaps what he needed to do was simply pray, and leave all that to God. God knows how I want the Triumph of Mary’s Immaculate Heart…Yesterday! …in fact January 13, 2018 would have been a monumental day for me to have that happen, well before 11:00 and 12:00 pm.

    God knows how much I want the time when “Iniquity is at an end, and sin shall cease.” I am SOOOOOO ready, buuuuttt there are some things that just don’t seem to line up with the entire Bosco prophesy…for example: “O Rome! Four times shall I come to you! The first time I shall smite your regions and its people. The second time I shall bring slaughter and destruction to your very gates. Should not that make you open your eyes? A third time shall I come, and I will demolish your defenses and defenders. At My Father’s command, terror, dismay, and desolation will reign

    “My wise followers flee, but My law is still trod underfoot. Therefore, I shall come a fourth time. Woe to you if My law again shall go unheeded. There shall be defections among both learned and ignorant. Your blood and that of your children shall wipe out your transgressions.

    “War, plague, and famine are the scourges to smite human pride and malice. Where are your magnificent villas and palaces, you people of wealth? They have become the litter of squares and streets!

    “And you priests, why are you not prostrate between the vestibule and the altar, weeping and praying that the scourge may cease? Why do you not take up the shield of faith and preach My Word from the rooftops, in the houses, streets, and squares, and even in inaccessible places? Do you not know that this is the terrible two-edged sword which smites My enemies and placates the wrath of God and man?

    “These things shall inexorably come to pass, all in succession.

    “Things follow too slowly upon each other”,

    And the Pantheon in Paris has not been “razed” to the ground which is in the same prophesy. And finally, A Father Joachim Berto copied this prophecy at Don Bosco’s request a few weeks after Epiphany. The prophesy was given to Don Bosco on January 5, 1870. And this priest Fr. Berto commented on the “month of flowers” to be in May. However, footnotes to the prophesy provided by a Bro. Alexis Bugnolo indicate that in Turin (where Don Bosco was from) the wild flowers bloom in March… Sooooooo as you can see I have my issues…Again, if something happens sooner than later that will be so alright with me, but my fear is that we are no where near as miserable as we are going to be before the time comes…just my two cents on all of this… But do come Lord Jesus, Come…O’ Mother Mary, God speed your Triumph!

  31. Flying back from LA to DC last night, I had the most spectacular view of the blue/super moon rise for the last 2 hours of the flight. (Having the very front seat on the plane helps!) Reflecting off a high overcast layer below, it lit up the sky like nothing I have ever seen. One of those once in a lifetime experiences. Beautiful. God is good. All the time.

That is, I fear that the evidence will not sway too many who are have already made up their minds. So we will see. I hope I am wrong.

    2. Charlie has addressed this depressing subject as part of his commentary re The Rescue. Or perhaps the nature of the Rescue. Or perhaps the EFFECT of the Rescue.

      We are in a Time For Choosing. The choice we all face is God or Not God.

      A reasonable expectation is that if some humongous and spectacular undeniable supernatural event perhaps of the Fireworks variety that all would acknowledge as Divine in origin would lead people or convince people to turn to God. To desire to be with God. To desire to live eternally united with the nature of God which is Love.

      It is shocking to realize that some people even witness to some kind of spectacular supernatural discrete event that can’t be denied will nevertheless choose Not God. What kind of a place or state is Not God? In Not God there is no Love. In the absence of God there is no Love. Imagine living in a world of absolutely no scintilla of Love present.

      The thought that many of our friends, family, neighbors, co-workers would and are choosing Not God and a cold, barren, hate filled eternal future is truly depressing.

      You have put your finger on the problem. Satan HAS appeared in our country with false promises and confusion of the mind luring perhaps as much as half of the entire population into making the Wrong Choice in a critical Time For Choosing.

      You hope you are wrong. But unfortunately you are more right than any of us would like to believe.

      I believe the signs that have intrigued Fr. Heilman may be signaling that indeed Satan’s time is up. But the signs we see all around us seem to be signaling that he is not going down without a fight to pull as many of our brothers and sisters and friends and neighbors down with him.

      What to do? Pray that everybody we care for Chooses Well! That they not be bedazzled by the lies of Satan. That they choose God and reject Not God. And, to do our share to lead them to choose well by Acknowledging God in our own lives with confidence, taking the Next Right Step, and being a sign of Hope for others in this Time For Choosing.

    3. Bob, what you say is true. Talk about a need to break the ice!!! There’s great hope, though, in that the memo really is the tip of the iceberg. It is but the beginning of information intended to be released and discussed. And, from what I understand, the additional info yet to come will make the memo look like a Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory’s golden ticket.

      Just imagine if it was revealed to any one of us that Jesus Christ is a myth. Think of how our entire lives have been developed and built around Him. If it were true that the Lord was not real, just imagine the nearly overwhelming disorientation which would consume us in correcting personal identity, perceptions and worldview. Anyone who has seemingly nearly intractable scales – comprised of hard left ideology – to be removed, will need an abundance of grace to make the shift into accepting the truth being revealed all around us.

  34. Anyone else seen the documentary on Netflix called “Is genesis history?”

    I find it to be a really informative documentary that talks about paradigms & how information is filtered & interpreted. It’s a real faith booster for those who wonder about Noah’s flood.

        But at least it’s dealt with, so people don’t have to wonder & worry about it later.

        Having a small screen like a phone or iPod is terrible for editing & proof reading, sorry for the occasional error, sometimes this thing even changes the words…
